After Kaido explained everything to Miko, there was another brief moment of silence.
What he just explained was very shocking in its own right.
It was hard to believe that such a project took place. But for Miko this opened up his mind to a lot of things he didn’t even consider.
Artificial Proxies.
Tiamat once told him that a regalia was basically a higher beings soul, if it was someone who was well-versed in alchemy which was like a fantastical form of science, then obtaining the power of Higher Beings through their regalia or other artifacts were possible.
This meant that creating an Artificial Dual Proxy was also possible. It would harder but not impossible.
As long as you had a smart enough genius and the right materials, even creating a Triple Proxy was possible.
It didn’t end there, what if you changed your bloodline like Kaido did? It was possible to create a Pseudo-God or demon.
“Fuck. This world has become extremely complicated. It seems like they’re countless stuff that I still need to learn.”
Miko mumbled to himself.
He then looked at Kaido again.
He could feel the anxiety in his eyes. It was the same for Hana.
‘Hmm…..There’s a possibility that he’s been treated like a monster in the past and is still wary of that I might do the same.’
Miko thought to himself.
“Calm down. I’m not going to capture you and experiment on you or anything.”
Miko said with a smile.
This made Kaido calm down a bit.
He stooped down in front of Hana.
“Don’t worry. Even I wouldn't want to see this angel here sad.”
He said as he rubbed Hana’s head.
It was only then did Hana calm down as well.
“As I thought, you’re really a good person, Miko.”
Miko was shocked when he heard that.
He can’t remember the last time someone called him a good person.
It would always be Demon, monster, Satan, anti-Christ, etc..
“Well, if you say so.”
It made him feel weird so that was all he could say.
“Well, with everything in the open and everyone’s head cooled down, let’s discuss the future.”
Regis said after feeling the awkwardness that surrounding Miko.
“That’s right.”
Miko regained his cool and continued after Regis.
“The most ideal future for me is for all of you to come back to my kingdom and join me on my quest to create an empire.”
Everyone looked at him silently when he said that.
“So after beating us into a pulp you’re recruiting us?”
Said Jin.
“What’s wrong with that? Consider it an entrance exam and it’s all good.”
Miko said casually.
“And what if we refuse?”
Kaido asked.
“Impossible. None of you have anywhere to go after all. Think about it, this city is done for; a sinking ship if you may. So you only have two options. You either go down with it city or jump on the lifeboat that I’m offering you.”
No one refute his words because what he said was spot on. They couldnt stay in this city any longer and there was no telling when they’ll be able to find a new home.
Taking up Miko’s offer was the safest option.
Miko pointed at Bloom.
“Just so you know, she’s coming with me no questions asked.”
Bloom confirmed Miko’s words with a nod.
“Well, if Bloom is going then we’re naturally going.”
Sapphire said as she held Jin’s arm.
“She’s our little sister after all.”
Jin nodded at her words.
The rest of Silver Crow naturally agreed as well.
“We still need your help with Hana, so our answer is obvious.”
Said Kaido.
“If Kaido is coming then I’m coming too!”
Nana suddenly shouted.
“This city is done for, so there’s no point staying here. I mean who want to rule over rubble?”
Said Blanche.
Miko nodded in satisfaction.
“Good then let…”
Miko stopped talking and silently turned around.
Jin and Kaido turned around as well with serious looks in their eyes.
When everyone followed their gaze they saw someone standing not too far from them.
“Pops?!”
Stolen story; please report.
Nana cried out in fear.
Taiga only glanced at her and Kei before turning back to Miko.
“So this is the famous Heavenly Demon King.”
Said taiga.
“I finally get to see you in the flesh.”
“The Syndicate’s Right Fang. I’m sorry but we’re having an important conversation can you please leave?”
Said Miko.
“No can do. I can’t just look the other way after running into our enemies.”
“Are you going to try and kill us? Don’t make me laugh. You’re not up to the task.”
Miko mocked him.
“Such arrogance. But you don’t fool me. I can sense that you’re completely depleted your magic and Qi. Not only that, everyone here are heavily injured. Killing you all won’t be that hard.”
“Oh? You can sense Qi? Interesting.”
Miko didn’t deny Taiga’s words and instead smile in amusement.
“But Mr. Left Fang, you’re wrong when you said that we’re all injured.”
Miko smiled playfully.
“There’s not a single scratch on my swords.”
Regis and Ishma stood in front Miko as if shielding him.
“Should I crush his skull?”
Ishma said as she cracked her fingers.
“We can kidnap him and torture information on the Syndicate out him.”
Said Regis.
“Your swords?”
“Be careful. They’re as strong as I am and there’s two of them.”
Miko showed a wicked smile.
“Please do well to survive.”
Taiga didn’t say anything more and silently took a fighting stance.
“Alright. I’ll break his legs and you cut his arms off.”
Ishma said with an excited smile.
“No objections here.”
Regis changed her arm into a blade.
The two of them were ready to crush Taiga at any moment.
“Miko. It’s from Sola.”
That’s when Tia approached Miko and handed him a phone.
Miko answered the call.
“D-Don!”
He heard Sola’s anxious voice.
“What’s wrong?”
“We lost the alchemy secrets to Taiga Kitora, i'm terribly sorry!”
“Is that so? Don’t worry about it. We have him right here. We’ll just take it from him.”
Miko answered nonchalantly.
“I-Is that so? Wait, that’s not what I’m calling to tell you!”
Her voice became panicked again.
“The city has become strange! There’s a red line absorbing all the blood that’s being shed and using it to expand through out the city!”
“Red line?”
Miko looked down at his feet and saw it.
It wasn’t too eye-catching, but it was there. A glowing red line.
“This is…..”
Miko observed it for a while before a shock expression appeared on his face.
“A spell formation?!”
Since Momo was a master of spells, she naturally thought Miko a lot about spells and this included spell formations.
“This thing sure has gathered a lot of power.”
Miko said after placing his hand on the red line. He could feel the immense magic stored inside of it.
“It reached this far already? This war must be soon reaching its climax.”
Jin mumbled from the side.
“Jin, what is this?”
Miko asked.
“It’s something set up by MYTH. I don’t know it’s true purpose but it strengthens itself by absorbing blood from battles. From the look of it, it will soon be completed.”
“It will create a certain item.”
Said Taiga.
“How do you know?”
“Jun Mizune told me before he sacrificed himself.”
“An item? If it need so much blood to be summoned then it can’t be anything good.”
Said Miko.
“Tia, do you know what kind of item will appear from this thing?”
He asked as he rubbed the red line.
Tiamat shook her head.
“These kind of stuff aren’t my expertise.”
“Don!”
Miko heard a new voice coming from the phone.
“Oh, Edward. Now that I think about it, I haven’t heard from you in days. What’s wrong?”
“We have a big problem! The Pillars brought out something very dangerous!”
The moment Edward said that Miko felt the ground vibrating.
“Hm?”
He looked around and there he saw it.
About 4km away, there was a giant silhouette.
Miko used his draconic vision to zoom in on it and identified what it was.
“A robot?!”
Screamed Jin who also saw it.
That’s right.
It was a gigantic humanoid robot with an equally large gun in its hand and sword on its back.
“A motherfucking Gundam!”
Miko shouted.
“Holy shit! What’s that?! It’s looks cool! Miko, I want to pilot that thing! Let’s steal it!”
Ishma shouted.
“Don’t! That thing is something my brother created using the parts of 3 Nemean Armored Tanks and countless other high powered weapons! It’s fire power is peak X Class! More than enough to wipe this city off the face of the earth!”
Edward shouted. He found out about the robot after his brother called him to boast about his achievement.
By the way, Gear was the one who caused Gaia’s server to explode.
“Gear huh? I wondered where he was.”
Said Miko.
“Don, this is serious!”
Sola’s voice was heard from the phone again.
“Hmmm….So that’s MYTH’s secret weapon?”
“?!”
A new voice suddenly appeared beside Miko which made him jump to the side.
He looked and saw that someone appeared among them without him noticing.
This person had azure hair just like Miko and had an imperial aura about them.
“Tang Hian!”
Kaido grabbed Hana and placed her behind him.
“Tang? This is him?”
Bloom said in surprise. The Tang she heard about and the one in front of her didn’t match at all.
As the leader of the Syndicate Tang was painted as a horrifying person who could make thousands shake in fear with one look.
She didn’t expect for him to look so majestic like a young prince.
“Boss!”
Taiga immediately kneeled in respect in front of Tang.
“I’m sorry for being late in greeting you after you left your seclusion. I was just about to deal with some pest first.”
“I don’t mind. More importantly, I can no longer feel Aoi’s presence.”
Taiga’s face became bitter.
“I’m sorry to say this, but Aoi has died.”
“…….I see.”
Tang said after a long pause.
“Well, this doesn’t look good.”
Miko mumbled.
“We have a gundam in front of us and this guy behind us.”
“Even though you say that, you look pretty excited.”
Said Tiamat.
“Well, I won’t deny that.”
Tang noticed his gaze and turned to look at him.
He stared at him for a while before disappearing completely.
*Bam!*
Miko heard a loud sound coming from behind him and quickly turned around.
There he saw Tang holding Blanche by the neck.
“You may be new, but traitors aren’t tolerated in the Syndicate.”
Blanche tried to speak but Tang held his throat too tight for him to speak.
“Die.
After casually saying that, Tang crushed Blanche’s throat and ripped his head off.
Blanche died with an unwilling look in his eyes.
Blanche death naturally shocked everyone. Of course it would, it was too sudden.
“B-Boss Tang, why did you….”
Taiga was shaken up as well.
“Why? He betrayed the Syndicate, they all did. Don’t tell you didn’t know taiga. I’ve been observing the situation long before you came here and witnessed them pledging allegiance to someone else. The punishment for that is death, there’s no exceptions.”
“…….”
Taiga didn’t answer and remained quiet.
“Don’t tell me that you had planned on looking past it because they’re your children?”
Taiga still didn’t answer.
“I’ll take your silence as a yes.”
Tang disappeared again and appeared before Nana.
He lifted his arm up and swung it to the side.
Nana was frozen in place by fear and couldn’t move to dodge.
“Idiot!”
She suddenly felt someone push her away.
She looked and saw blood flying in the air as she fell to the ground.
“Kei!!”
She shouted as she saw Kei’s upper body separate from his midsection.
He had pushed his sister out of the way in the last moment and lost his life as a result.
“I missed, but at least I got the other one.”
Tang said as he flashed the blood off his hand.
“Now then, this time for sure.”
He swung his hand down on Nana again.
*Bam!*
However he failed to kill her again.
This time he was stopped by three persons.
First was Taiga who caught Tang’s hand. Second was Miko who kicked him from the side. Third was Kaido who pulled Nana out of the way.
“What’s the meaning of this?”
“I can’t just stand by and watch you kill those who swear allegiance to me.”
Said Miko.
Kaido said nothing and held Nana tight.
He owed her for freeing Hana so he couldn’t just watch her get killed.
“I wasn’t asking you, I’m asking you Taiga.”
Taiga bit his lips hard before answering.
“I’m saving my daughter.”
“No, you’re betraying me.”
A cold glint appeared in Tang’s eyes.
“Move.”
“I refuse.”
Taiga answered immediately.
“You and Aoi were my most loyal comrades. Are you going to discard our history?”
“If its for my only daughter then I don’t mind.”
“……..I see.”
*Bam!*
A large hole suddenly appeared in Taiga’s chest.
“Cough?!”
He fell on the ground and laid in a pool of his on blood.
“....The road to the top really is filled with solitude.”
Said Tang as he stared at Taiga’s body.
“Pops!”
Nana cried out in despair when she saw her father dead on the ground.
Tang ignored her cries and picked up Taiga’s body and threw it over his shoulder.
He then looked at Miko.
“I’m no longer in the mood, so I’ll spare her for now. I’ll return in 24 hours, to settle everything. By then I’m sure you all will regain your strength. Otherwise, our fight will be boring.”
Without waiting for Miko to respond, Tang took off with Taiga’s body.
“You bastard! Bring my father back!”
Nana roared while being restrained by Kaido.
Miko stared at Tang’s back as he disappeared into the city.
He then looked at the giant robot that was in the distance.
“Let’s move. We need to find somewhere to rest up and also try our best to not get detected by that thing.”
He then spoke back into the phone.
“Edward, let’s meet up.”
