After confirming that he had indeed fought his way through the valley, Momo left the valley with Miko.
“I'm finally free from that place.”
Miko said as he stretched his body. He then deactivated his dragon scales, claws and horn.
“I forgot how I looked when I was human.”
‘Was human?’
Momo repeated in her mind.
She then stared at Miko for a while.
“Miko, show me your Qi.”
“Hm? Okay.”
Shortly after he said that Miko's body was covered by a dark glow.
Momo widen her eyes when she saw it.
“This is Demonic Qi!”
“Demonic Qi?”
“Ah, I didn't explain the different types of Qi did I?”
Momo then mumbled something and a miniature person floated in front of her.
“As you already know Qi is a power that comes straight from the human soul.”
A glow appeared around the mini person.
“However, just like there's several types of humans they're several types of Qi.”
The mini human multiplied into 5 persons.
“There's Chaotic Qi.”
One of the mini humans had a wild and ominous dark purple glow appear around them.
“There's Heavenly Qi.”
One of the mini humans had a tranquil and majestic golden glow appear around them.
“There's Demonic Qi.”
One of the mini humans had a dark and sinister-looking black glow appear around them.
“There's Beastly Qi.”
One of the mini humans had a wild and frantic looking dark green glow appear around them.
“And then Ruler’s Qi.”
One of the mini humans had a majesty yet overbearing white glow appear around them. This glow was noticeably brighter than the others.
“The Qi we use is dependent on our nature. This is especially true for the first type you unlock. The other types can be learnt. However, you won't be able to learn a Qi that's opposite to your original Qi type. For example, a Demonic Qi user can't normally learn Heavenly Qi without special circumstances.”
“Is that so? Then since there's different types of Qi, does each type have a unique trait or ability?”
Momo nodded.
“Even though all Qi have similar abilities, each Qi type has something that only it possesses.”
Momo then directed Miko's attention back to the mini humans.
“Let's start with your type, Demonic Qi.”
The one with the sinister black glow stepped out.
“Demonic Qi are lethal towards gods and other heavenly beings.”
The mini human shot a blast towards the sky and someone with dove wings fell out the sky.
“Not only that, Demonic Qi has the ability to absorb demon magic and lifeforce and add it to their own.”
The mini human grabbed a person with horns by the neck. The horned person then looked like all of its nutrients were being sucked out as it withered in the mini humans hands.
“Next is the Heavenly Qi.”
The mini human stepped back and the one with the golden glow stepped forward.
“This type of Qi is opposite to Demonic Qi. It's lethal to demonic beings, and can absorb god magic and lifeforce.”
It destroyed a demon and sucked out the life of a god.
It then stepped back and the one with the dark green glow stepped out.
“Beastly Qi users have a strong affinity for animals and monsters. They can easily tame and communicate with all kind of beasts. They also can use the abilities of the monsters they tamed.”
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
A wolf appeared in front of the mini human. He pet it and instantly grew wolf ears, a tail, and claws.
“This type of Qi was designed to fight Beastmen, and thus allows the user to match them in every way.”
A new mini human stepped out.
“Chaotic Qi users are able to bend the laws of the world in their favor.
It reached out and did a twisting motion with its hands. The space around it then distorted and twisted around.
“Chaotic Qi users also are able to disturb the mind of others and weaken them mentally.”
Finally the one with the white glow stepped out.
“This is the rarest Qi of all the Qi types to be born with, and also the hardest to learn.”
“What does it do?”
Miko asked.
“It's gives the user the power over souls. It's even rumored to control life itself.”
“What?”
Miko watched as the mini human turned towards the rest of the mini humans.
It waved its hand and something foggy flew out of their mouths and rushed towards his hand. The rest of the mini humans then fell to ground and laid lifelessly.
“It’s the most powerful and dangerous of all the Qi types.”
It then returned the foggy balls back to the other mini humans and they got back their feet.
“What's make it even more dangerous is that its said to have been designed to kill Higher Beings.”
“Wha?!”
Miko was shocked when he heard that. But he calmed down after he thought about it for a bit.
‘Higher Beings have been confirmed to have died at human hands on numerous occasions. So this could be one of the abilities used to kill them…..I must learn it in the future.’
“Do you know anyone that uses Ruler’s Qi?”
“Only, Gramps.”
“Figures.”
Miko now doubts if there's anything his grandfather can not do.
“However, according Gramps it wasn't easy to learn; even for him. It took 100 years to learn, and 1000 years to master.”
“That long?”
“Its called the rarest Qi for a reason. Oh, in order to use all the abilities I listed to the fullest, you'll need to master Qi first.”
Miko then put on a pondering expression before asking-
“What type of Qi does Nero and Nova use?”
“Gramps was born with Demonic Qi, and learnt Ruler’s, Beastly, and Chaotic Qi. He uses 4 of the five Qi types.”
“What about Nova?”
“He was born with Chaotic Qi, and learned Beastly and Heavenly Qi. He said that he had no interest in the other two.”
“Then what about you?”
“Me? I was born with Heavenly Qi of course. I don't need anything more than that.”
“Is that so?”
Miko activated his Qi again. It was definitely Black and sinister looking. But there were times it had a white color mix into it when he tried to use it to the fullest.
“Can you fuse the different type of Qi together?”
He asked.
“Yeah, you can.”
“I see.”
‘Maybe….’
*Bam!*
He suddenly released his Qi to the fullest which caused the earth to burst open.
He looked at his Qi and frown.
‘There's no white strands? Why? There was always some before.’
He thought to himself.
“Woah!”
He turned his attention back to Momo when he heard her excited voice.
“What's wrong?”
“You're a Qi Apprentice!”
Miko showed a confused expression. Seeing that, Momo realized her mistake.
“Ah, sorry. I forgot to tell you about the Qi ranks.”
“Qigong have ranks as well?”
Momo nodded.
“There are 8 ranks for a Qigong user.”
Momo then held out her hand and eight words appeared.
Novice.
Apprentice.
Warrior.
King.
Emperor.
Conqueror.
Legend.
God.
“When you just activate your Qi you're automatically recognized as a Qi Novice. After that you train for a while and move up to a Qi Apprentice. This normally takes several years if you're slow, but you're already one. That's pretty amazing considering that you're barely human.”
‘Well, I doubt you consider yourself human anymore.’
Momo thought to herself.
Meanwhile, the image of the mosaic being popped in Miko's mind.
‘….Did that bastard have something to do with it?’
He thought.
“But this is just perfect. Now we don't have waste time and start your Qi training.”
Said Momo.
When Miko heard that he remembered the training arcs from the Wuxia and Xianxia novels he read.
“So what? We're going to find a secluded place and mediate for several months? Or are you going to make me eat so strange pills?”
“Hah?! What kind of lazy training method is that?”
“Huh?”
Momo snapped her fingers and the topography changed.
They were now standing on a narrow ledge.
Miko looked down and saw a sea of lava under him.
“…..Huh?”
“If you want to raise your Qi rank you have kick ass, and get your ass kicked.”
He looked at Momo and saw a copy of himself standing bore him.
“What's a better training partner than a stronger version of yourself?”
Miko gritted his teeth and rushed forward.
“That's the spirit! And don't worry, if you drop in the lava I'll just heal you back up again!”
*Bam!*
Miko was kicked off the ledge and fell towards the lava.
He screamed while he fell.
“Wuxia and Xianxia authors are bullshit!”
While Miko was enduring another hellish training session, there were others making moves in secrecy around him.
Back at the main palace of Xia, Nero was sitting face to face with an azure haired man dressed in a black and gold suit.
“How are things in the city, Raven?”
“So, so. There hasn't been much changes regarding the general atmosphere.”
“Then no signs of them yet?”
Raven shook his head.
“….I see. Looks like it's going to go down a little later than I expected.”
“Isn't that better for us? It gives us more time to gather our people.”
Raven took a box of cigars from his pocket and put one in his mouth. It lit by itself.
“I say we call back your sons, and ask the Svarga Federation for the twins as well.”
Nero shook his head.
“Gian isn't in this world, Gamion is in Tartarus, and Rihan’s location is unknown. Even if it wasn't, he would probably use the chance to take my head.”
“I can see him doing that….And the twins?”
“I don't want to owe Indra’s Proxy anything. The twins can stay until I'm ready to take them back.”
“Then what about Sonia? If you revoke her exile she'll definitely come back. And I'm sure Momo would be glad to get her mother back.”
“If I could revoke her exile I would've done it already. Keep in mind that you were the one who prevented me from slaughtering those bastards who exiled her in the first place.”
“That's because you wanted to slaughter the entire branch in a fit of rage. I didn't want to fight you either. Even though our races are different we're still cousins. But It's my job as the branch’s protector to stop you from killing everyone. And I almost died too.”
“I know, I know. I apologized didn't I?”
“Only after I had to force you into the earth’s core and trap you there for 10 years to cool off.”
“Hey, I said I was sorry.”
Raven knitted his eyebrows and sighed.
“We got off track. If you won't expect help from your children, then what about Rouge?”
Nero frowned when he heard that.
“Over my dead body.”
He said.
“….You know, Gamiko. You're making me and my mother’s job extremely difficult.”
“Don't worry, Raven. Do I look like the type of person who will die so easily.”
“I'm not worried about you. I'm worried about our people. They're not practically immortal like you.”
“It will be fine. I brought reinforcements.”
“Kimiko is death incarnate, Sherry tends to easily lose control when fighting, and Nova is, well Nova. I can see them causing more damage to the city than our enemies.”
“I'm not talking about them.”
Raven narrowed his eyes.
“Are you talking about your grandson?”
Nero nodded.
“Your mother, Gallu, should've already told you that he's our grandmother’s Proxy.”
“Yeah, I know…..Don't tell me you're planning to make him use our grandmother’s ability to….”
“It's exactly what you're thinking.”
Raven then suddenly rested back in his chair.
“If its that, then I guess it would be okay then.”
He then showed a sadistic smile.
“Looks like we’ll have a grand festival soon.”
Nero also showed a smile.
“The grandest slaughter party the world has ever seen.”
The Deus(God) Continent. The continent that was said to house the most gods out of all the continents.
On this continent was a Kingdom known as the Apellon Kingdom. It was a Kingdom that possessed its own sun and solar cycle. It was gold in color and beautiful music could be heard coming from it 24/7.
This kingdom was nicknamed the Home Of The Blessed Sun.
In the capital, Helios, there exist a grand golden palace with the symbol of the sun on it.
A man sat on the roof of this palace and overlooked the beautiful golden city.
He had long golden hair, a beautiful face, gold eyes, and a majestic aura.
He stared at the city with a serious expression.
“What are thinking about so intensely, Jace?”
That's when somebody walked up beside him.
It was a man with gold hair and eyes, a beautiful face and heavenly aura that indicated that he wasn't of mortal origin.
“Apollo.”
Apollo. Greek god of music, poetry, healing, oracles, the sun, light, and more. Son of Zeus and twin brother of the moon goddess Artemis. As well as one of the 12 supreme gods of Greek mythology, the Olympians.
“I was thinking that it shouldn't be long now.”
Said Jace.
“Do you mean the [Tyrant Hunt]?”
Jace nodded.
“The time for Proxies to reclaim the world is now. Beings who overturn the world’s common sense, are not needed. Gods should be the one to rule over all, not filthy rebels.”
“Jace, I understand where you're coming from, but don’t underestimate [Tyrants]. They make a name for themselves from killing Proxies. People like that must be treated with caution.”
“I understand that, Apollo. I don't underestimate them, I just hate their existence.”
He stood up and looked in the horizon.
“Thanks to that invitation, I can finally get to kill the one who started this foolishness.”
His body started giving an extremely bright glow like he had became the sun.
“Demon Dragon God, Nero. You'll be the first one to go down and prove to the world who the real rulers are!”
As Miko continued to get stronger, they were all kinds of monsters gearing up for a grand event; which he will be in the middle of.
The time before it starts was slowly counting down.
