Heated Clash & Declaration Of War

Heated Clash & Declaration Of War

“I can't believe it. Of the eight players, two kids defeated three players each.”

Outside the game, there was a crowd of people watching the highlights of the game on the monitor.

This game was always popular to begin with, but when the crowd saw the actions of Miko and Luka, they were shocked and amazed.

Especially, Miko's actions.

He slaughtered majority of his court, and was still able to cause the downfall of three countries; and that's without doing the work himself. It was simply too surprising to see a child capable of such cruel and inhumane, but clever acts.

Luka's actions were ingenious. She used two players to stall another player, while she stole his dragon. Not only that, she didn't lose more than a small fraction of her army, and was able to further strengthen her country while the others destroyed theirs.

Her scheming abilities were too frightening.

The anticipation of seeing how these two terrifying children will clash, was the true reason for the crowd.

Luka spent months rebuilding and fortifying her empire. She got rid of everything that was in her way, and crushed every opposition.

Her hard work resulted in an unstoppable force, that can sweep over the world.

Luka and her father sat on the head of the dragon, looking down on their army that was close to million.

They were made up of monsters as well as human, all marching, flying, and driving towards the same direction.

“Is it alright to make the first move?”

The man asked.

“I can't give him too much free time, otherwise he'll create dozens of schemes to take me down. The longer we wait to attack, the more risk we're putting ourselves in.”

“You have a point. Besides, that woman is beside him as well.”

“Woman?”

Hearing her father’s, mumbles Luka stared at him.

“Is that okay? Revealing her gender like that? Didn't you want me to figure it out myself?”

“That was the original plan, but after thinking about it for a while it's better for you to know beforehand.”

“….Is she really that dangerous, Gamiko’s [Parent]?”

“You have no idea. Well, even though I say that, we're pretty good friends. So she won't try and destroy you, my Proxy……Probably.”

“You don't sound so sure, Father.”

“Hey, the woman is unpredictable. Even after knowing each other for thousands of years, I still don't know what she's thinking.”

“Sounds like a difficult woman to deal with.”

“You have no idea.”

The man said with a sigh.

As for the difficult Tiamat-

“Hahahaha! Dance, drink, party!”

She was the hostess of a grand celebration of Miko's reign. She was standing on top of a giant statue of herself, drinking and having a good time.

“….I didn't expect you to be such a party animal.”

Miko was also beside her. He was being served by several beautiful women.

“That's because the summit is too boring. Everyone is too busy grooming their Proxies or plotting against each other. Other than a few like Bacchus, Alexander, and Asmodeus no one knows how to lay back and have fun.”

“Well, considering that Bacchus is the God of wine, Alexander the Great is known for his love of parties, and Asmodeus is the demon that rules over lust, it's a given; don't you think?”

Miko took a drank of wine and then asked-

“Hey, are you and Luka's [Parent] enemies or friends?”

Tiamat, who started sing out of nowhere, wasn't listening to Miko. Seeing that, irritated him.

So he took a bottle from one of the women and threw it at her head.

“Listen when people is talking to you, you damn singing lizard!”

Tiamat dodged while dancing, and turned back around and faced him with a frown.

“Why does it mattered to you what our relationship are?”

“Of course it matters. I'm your Proxy, your enemies are automatically my enemies; and I prefer to know who my enemies are.”

“You got a point. But, don't worry. Boros and I are good friends.”

“Boros? Is that his name?”

“No, that's his nickname….Ah. I wasn't supposed to say that. Well, whatever. You would've found out eventually.”

Tiamat didn't look like she cared about concealing identities anymore, while she danced with a group of shirtless men.

Miko shrugged and resume drinking with the women.

….This [Parent & Child] duo just didn't care about the war they're supposed to be fighting.

*BOOM!*

Suddenly, sounds of explosions reached their ears.

“They're here already? That was fast.”

Saying that, Miko stood up from the women and stretched his limbs, with a relaxed expression.

“Oi, party lizard. It's time for war.”

“They're your guests, you deal with them….hey, what are you doing?! Let go!”

Miko ignored Tiamat's complaining and lift her over his shoulder.

“Quit whining, and let's go.”

He walked over to the edge of the statue.

“How dare you treat a goddess like this! This is blasphemy! Pagan! Heretic!”

Miko ignored her and jumped off the 600 m statue.

They landed on a wyvern, just before they hit the ground.

Once she was on the wyvern, Tiamat calm down and sat pouting.

Miko found it strangely cute, until he remembered that the one pouting was an ancient dragon from thousands or even millions of years ago.

“Look. They're here.”

In front of them was a sea of enemies, at their doorsteps.

“Whew~. That's a lot of people.”

Tiamat put her hand in front her eyes, as if trying to increase her line of vision. She then pulled Miko's sleeves, and spoke with a playful voice.

“Hey, aren't we in a pinch?”

“…Naw. They're not worth the time.”

“Are you sure? Even an elephant can be killed if it's ganged up by a million ants, you know.”

“That's an elephant. We're dragons. No matter how many ants group up, we can just roast them with fire.”

“Such big words. You must have an incredible plan?”

Miko grinned before replying

“Yeah. It's the best plan for this situation.”

At this time, Luka was stationed in her camp, watching her armies attack Miko's empire.

“They're on the move.”

Using a satellite, Luka saw Miko riding on top of a wyvern, as if it was the most common thing in the world.

Luka focused her eyes on the woman behind him.

“…That's Gamiko’s [Parent]?”

As if hearing Luka's mutter, the woman looked up at the satellite, in space, and waved at it with a smile.

“She looks exactly like Gamiko.”

Luka immediately realized something.

All three Gamiko were almost identical; meaning that all three of them looked like the woman. The resemblance was too strong to be called a coincidence. It was definitely because of their genes. And there was only one goddess that all three of them could be related to; and that's their ancestor.

In order words, the woman riding the wyvern was the Dragna Clan’s progenitor, The Monster Of Primordial Chaos, and the Mother Of All Dragon; Tiamat.

“N-No way…”

Luka's faced paled and her entire body trembled, when she figured out Tiamat's identity. The woman on the wyvern suddenly looked a million times more frightening.

“From the look on your face, you must've figures out Tia’s identity.”

“She's the goddess of this kingdom, Tiamat!”

“That's right. And she's also a very dangerous woman, so be careful.”

Luka flung herself back in her chair, and started chewing on her fingernails.

“Calm down, Lulu. Tia, herself, can't hurt you. As long as you can subdue her descendent, then it's your victory.”

“That's easier said than done! Gamiko by himself was dangerous, and now I find out he's the Dragon Goddess’ Proxy? That no longer count as dangerous. That’s simply facing a natural disaster in your birthday suit!”

“You have a unique way of expressing yourself.”

“Be serious!”

“I am serious. But it's like I said, you only need to subdue the kid. I'm sure you're capable of doing that.”

The man placed his hand on Luka's head and smiled at her.

“Besides, this isn't something that can stand in the way of your goal right? You're my, Ouroboros’ Proxy after all.”

Luka started to calm down, when he looked up at the man's, Ouroboros’s smiling face. She took a few deep breaths and straighten her expression.

“You're right. So what his [Parent God] is Tiamat? I'm daughter of Ouroboros, who symbolizes infinity! The possibilities for me are literally endless!”

Luka turned to her subordinates and gave an order.

“Have 100,000 continue to attack the enemy, while another 250,000 stay right behind them to act as back up if need. The demons, the gargoyles and the other non human soldiers, use your sharp sense and act as look out for any unexpected attacks. Tell the Air Force that they could be ordered bombard the city at any moment, so they should be on alert even if they're on stand by.”

“Yes, My Princess!”

The Subordinates hurriedly disperse to carry out Luka's orders.

“I don't know what kind of plans you'll come up with, but I'll be sure to crush them completely!”

She spoke as she glared at Miko and Tiamat.

Even though she calm down, she couldn't help but to be extremely cautious in this war.

“Oh, she moved less than half of her army to attack, while leaving the rest on stand by. Isn't she being overly cautious?”

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Said Tiamat.

“She probably figured out your identity, and isn't taking any chances.”

“How rude. She's treating me like a monster.”

“Well, you kind of are.”

Miko stood up on the wyvern, and looked at his own soldier’s and empire.

“We're being look down upon! And by a girl who isn't even ten, at that! Doesn't that make you angry!”

“Yeah!”

The soldiers answered loudly.

“She led an army to interrupt our celebration! Our fun time with our families! Our time with our lovers! Our precious time that we should be using to seek lovers! And for what, to just show off her power?! Screw her power! Screw her toys! Screw her ambition! I'm just trying to get drunk and have a nice time with some strange women! Isn't that what we were born for, to have fun?!”

“Yes!”

“Then why is this selfish brat getting in our way?! My brave and fun loving people! I propose that we quickly crush these idiots, who can't read the mood, and return back to our fun!”

Miko waved his hand and summon a full suit of gold armor and a giant sword.

“For the women, for the liquor, for the food! For the fun!”

“FOR THE FUN!”

The army roared and raced into the battle with an odd valor.

“Wow, I can't believe they actually got railed up by a speech like that.”

Miko ignored Tiamat’s comment, and jumped off the wyvern and dived into a sea of soldiers.

*Boom!*

A crater was formed where he landed, and dozens of people were blown away.

“Die!”

Miko jumped out the crater and swung the 2m sword.

*Boom!*

A ominous red light was emitted from the sword, and hundreds of people were blown away with one swing.

Miko twirl the giant sword, and then threw it with a spin.

The sword spun in the air and mowed down dozens of people, while moving in an arc before returning back to Miko like a boomerang.

He then jumped in the air and swung it down with all of his might.

*Boom*

Thousands of body parts flew everywhere, as if bursting apart.

Miko then swung it to his left, and then swung it to the right.

Bodies burst apart again, and blood rained down on the battlefield, as if baptizing Miko.

“Follow the emperor!”

At this time a sea of people rushed out of Miko's empire and attack the invaders.

Seeing his people rushing forward, Miko jumped and landed back on the wyvern with Tiamat.

“That armor and sword are quite something else. As expected of legendary items.”

The armor that Miko was wearing was called “Golden Fortress”. It was a high level armor that protects the user from all kinds as physical harm. However, it was useless against magic.

The sword was called “Overlord’s Cleaver”. It was a sword that allows the user to slay hundreds with a single swing. However, it cannot be used continuously. It can only be used for five swings before needing a 5 minute cool down period.

Miko got these two items from the players he defeated.

“Makes me really want a magic weapon in the real world. Oh, you said that there was a magic sword in the Royal treasure room, right? Is it powerful?”

“It's a demon sword capable of cutting mountains like butter if used properly. But it's a little troublesome.”

“Then I'll definitely take it in the future. It's etiquette to have a magic sword in a fantasy world!”

Miko once again jumped off the wyvern, and landed in a war truck.

He instantly beheaded those in the truck, and took the wheel.

Tiamat landed on the back, where the machine gun was.

“You know, I've always wanted to used one of these.”

She took hold of the gun, and used it to mowed down those around her.

“What the hell?! This is so fun! Woohoo!”

While Tiamat was happily using her new toy, Miko used the truck to ran soldiers over while clearly a path at the same time.

“Get out of the way, small fries! I'm looking for your general! Ah, there!”

Miko saw a man with an imposing aura, ordering soldiers way in the back. He was too far for Miko to reach; even with a sniper.

But there exist something much more better than a sniper in this game.

Miko waved his hand, and a bow made out of bones appeared in front of him.

He grabbed it and marked the man with his eyes.

He then pull the string back, and an arrow made of bones suddenly appeared between Miko's fingers.

He smiled and released the arrow.

It disappeared and reappeared in the man’s neck.

He fell over without knowing what struck him.

“Reaper’s Bow, huh. Nice!”

Bow disappeared in thin air.

Miko then turned the truck around, and sent a message to his generals telling them to get rid of the enemies at their borders, and not to leave out of those borders.

Meanwhile, Luka had a hard time trying to comprehend Miko's actions.

“W-What the hell are they doing? There's barely any order in their army. They're just cutting down who's in front of them.”

Other than killing her general, Miko hasn't made any special military maneuver or action. He just looks like he's having a fun time slaughtering her cannon fodder soldiers. He doesn't even look interested in attacking Luka.

“He has an Air Force, he has missiles, monsters, many ways to attack me from a distance. So why haven't he used them? Could this be a part of his plan?”

Luka watched as Miko took over a gargoyle, and was riding it like he was on the wyvern.

He forced the the gargoyle to head towards its comrades. Miko then used a bunch of enemy weapons he stole to kill the gargoyles midair.

He shot them, he sliced them, he bombed them; all while laughing. He didn't even look in Luka's direction.

“Tsk. There's no use to thinking about it. Focus all attacks on the enemy’s King!”

At that moment, all of the remaining soldiers that weren't on standby, turned their sights on Miko.

“Oh? All eyes on me, huh.”

Miko waved his hand and a remote appeared in his hand.

“Then let's me thank you for your undivided attention!”

He pressed a button on the remote, and then it happened.

*BOOOM!*

The entire battlefield blew up.

“Wha?!”

Luka couldn't believe her eyes. A chain reaction of explosions were happening all over the battlefield.

It was like the soldiers were inside a minefield.

Even after a minute the explosions continued. Luka's soldiers on the ground were almost wiped out. Only the tough non human ones survived, but they were trying to run away dragging their bloodied bodies.

“He planted explosives beforehand? Then that means we practically walked into a trap the moment we attacked first? Damn it!”

Luka grind her teeth and gave an order.

“Fall back! All men retreat back to the main camp!”

When Luka saw that Miko's borders were unaffected by the explosions, she knew for sure that he knew that she would strike first, and that irritated her.

“Repulsion, successful.”

Miko, who at one point attached reins to the gargoyle he was riding, landed on the ground with a satisfied expression.

“You brat! You tried to blow me up too didn't you?!”

Until Tiamat appeared out of nowhere and roared at Miko.

“Ah. Sorry, I forgot that you were on the ground.”

He didn't forget.

“Moreover, we've turned the tables around.”

Miko gave an order for the generals to use the time to reorganize the armies, which they did.

“He's not chasing the retreating soldiers?”

Seeing Miko's army remaining in their borders, confused Luka. If he sacrificed 50,000 soldiers, he could slaughter her 100,000 that were frantically retreating, leaving their backs wide open.

“Could it be he has another trick up his sleeve?”

The situation wasn't good. Miko predicated where Luka would attack, so he planted bombs beforehand. However, planting bombs might not be the only thing he did. He could've prepared all kind of traps for Luka. If it's like that, it's best to retreat now.

“No, I can't retreat! If I retreat he'll get more time to come up with more schemes. I must continue pressuring him. However, I need to do it cautiously.”

“…….”

Ouroboros quietly watched as Luka desperately rattled her brain, he had no intention of telling her that he knew what Miko was doing. He believed that Luka must to figure out herself, or she won't grow.

“Relay those instructions to the rest of the army, we'll finish this today!”

After deploying a messenger, Luka waved her hand and summoned a whistle. She blew it, but no sound came from it. But that didn't mean it didn't work.

The ground started shaking. It then burst open, and thousands of skeleton wearing armor and carrying weapons, flew out.

In mere seconds, an army of skeleton warriors stood in front of Luka.

“These guys will be my personal troops.”

“Are you going to the front lines?”

Ouroboros asked.

“Yes. Gamiko personally led his army into battle; as a follow Proxy I should do same.”

Luka then took out a ring and put it on. Her body was instantly covered with light, which turned into a full suit of jet black armor; and in her hand was a giant burning scythe.

“Otherwise, I'll be a disgrace to name Ouroboros.”

Hearing Luka's declaration, Ouroboros wore a proud smile.

“Then I'll give you a hand.”

Ouroboros snapped his fingers, which caused the dragon to go in a frenzy, and started roaring like crazy.

“I made him a little more frisky than usual. This way he should be at least twice as dangerous.”

“Thanks, Father.”

Luka leaped on top of the dragon’s head. And thus Luka and her army, that consisted of undead warriors and a battle crazy dragon, move towards their enemies.

The dragon took flight with Luka, while the undead warriors stayed on the ground.

Some rode skeleton horse, some hovered using magic items, others ran with their bony legs.

Seeing Luka and her strange army rushing towards him, Miko got excited and ordered his soldiers to attack.

He whipped his gargoyle and took for the skies. His aim was the dragon.

“So you came out to have fun too Luka?!”

“I didn't come to have fun. I came to kill you and win the game!”

Luka slashed her scythe and a huge arc of flames was released from it, and rushed towards Miko and the gargoyle.

The gargoyle dipped and dodged it.

“That's too bad. I on the other hand plans to enjoy my time in this game.”

Miko summoned Reaper’s Bow, and fire three arrows at the dragon.

“Rooaaar?!”

The arrows hit its eyes and caused it to screamed out in pain.

It opened it mouth and release of a breath of flames.

Miko used teleport to move out of the way, but the fire breathe hit the kingdom and killed tens of thousands of people.

“Whew~. That dragon is no joke.”

The dragon dived towards him, while breathing fire.

Miko used the gargoyle and teleport to dodge it, but his people weren't so lucky. Countless of them were already after only a few breaths.

“Oi! You just destroyed my palace! I'm still paying the mortgage for it!”

“Shut up, this is war! Take it seriously!”

Luka swung the scythe a few more times. Miko desperately dodged the fire that came from it, and swung his sword.

It ripped apart the air and cut the dragon across the face.

It roared and rushed towards him. It swung it's claw and Miko swung his sword.

*Boom!*

Miko was swat away, and his gargoyle died instantly. His body cut through the air like a bullet, and was going to crashed into the ground, until he was caught by Tiamat, who was on a wyvern.

“Cough!”

Miko coughed up blood, when armor disappeared.

“You look like a mess.”

Tiamat said while grinning.

“That giant lizard sure packs a punch.”

Miko sat up and wiped the blood from his lips.

“I've decided. I heard that dragon meat is a delicacy in this world, so I'm going to make dragon stew using that bastard!”

“Sorry to interrupt your one sided revenge, but look down.”

Miko listened to Tiamat and looked at his empire.

It was on fire and countless explosions were happening all over it.

“....They divided their troops and took the long away around to attack from behind, huh.”

He looked at his soldiers and saw that they were being slaughtered by invisible forces.

“An invisibility spell? I see. She attacked me with the dragon and those skeletons, to draw my attention from her main army. If the enemy leader rushes out with a weird army like that, of course you'll give them all of your attention. To think that she would use herself to buy time for her men to circle around and attack from behind, as well as making her soldiers use an invisibility spell.”

Miko looked at Luka's army. Her army didn't look like it diminish to a noticeable point. But the army attacking the empire from the behind weren't small.

“She either used an duplication spell or an illusion device.”

Miko calmly deduced the situation with an impressed expression.

“…..Okay. I've mostly figure out her personality and how her mind works.”

Miko looked down at his burning empire and dying men, who were awaiting orders, smiled.

“We’re cornered from all directions in a split second. What a terrifying child.”

At this time, Luka appeared in front of Miko with the dragon. She looked like a death God, who came for Miko's soul.

Instead of being scared or frustrated, Miko clapped.

That's right, he started clapping as if applauding Luka's efforts.

Seeing that, Luka lifted her scythe and swung it down.

An arc of flames severed Miko's torso from his lower body.

Even then the applause didn't stop, as a big grin was on his face.

“Tsk!”

Luka got irritated and ordered the dragon to devour Miko.

The last thing Miko saw was the darkness inside the dragon's mouth.

And with that, the game came to an end.

When Luka opened her eyes, she was inside the capsule.

The door opened and she stepped out.

There were a lot people surrounding her capsule, wanting to congratulate her; but none moved towards her or said anything, when they saw the expression on her face.

Luka looked around and saw Miko's retreating back.

She rushed forward, and cut through the crowd.

“Wait!”

She grabbed Miko’s shoulder from behind, and turned him towards her.

“What? Are you here to boast about your victory?”

Miko said nonchalantly.

“Don't screw around! What the hell was that?!”

Luka shouted angrily.

“What do you mean?”

“You…! I'm talking about that war! You were not suppose to lose that easily!”

“Hey, I don’t think I did that bad.”

“You!”

Dark mist started coming from Luka's body, and the temperature began to drop rapidly.

“You…Just what were you trying to accomplish?! You continued to do random actions all through the fight, and never attacked me directly! Was that all a part of a plan or something?! If so it was a stupid one!”

“Plan? Ah, I never had one.”

Miko said while laughing.

Luka froze when she heard that.

“You never had a plan? What do you mean?”

“Just what I said. I told you right, ‘I planned to enjoy my time in the game’, and I did. Tiamat and I had a blast.”

Miko started laughing again.

“No. I did actually have a plan. It was to mentally push you into a corner, so that you would reveal your true self to me. Wasn't that the original reason for playing game?”

Miko said while grinning.

“For the entire battle, you were worrying about what kind of schemes I would use against you, right? That's why I chose not to make any.”

“Huh? Then what about the bombs underground.”

“Oh, those were from the beginning of the game. A precaution of sort, in case someone marched on my kingdom, before we fought. No one did, and it would be a waste not use them at all so I used them on you. Well, thanks to that, you became even more cautious, and pushed yourself further into a corner.”

Luka was shocked to hear Miko's words. He had no intention to fight her seriously from the start, he was just manipulating her actions, by doing whatever he wanted. And she fell for it.

Luka knew more than anyone in the game, that Miko was an extremely dangerous person; and that's why she was the most cautious when dealing with him. However, Miko predicated her train of thought and did something she would've never expected.

Nothing.

He could only do it because it was a game. If it was real life he wouldn't have acted so carelessly.

“Thanks to that war, I've gotten a grasp of your personality. Basically, you're timid by nature, but can be outgoing if needed to be. That's shown in your cautious actions throughout the game. You're also someone who won't take action unless you planned it out beforehand; you're also someone who knows how to use an opportunity. That's shown in how you stole the dragon, while killing the other players. You also don't value yourself; and because of that, you won't hesitate to destroy yourself to achieve your goals. That's shown when you took the front lines, even though you were cautious of me.

Miko grinned and continued.

“And lastly, you value your love ones well being over your own. That’s also shown when you took to the front lines. You came alone without your [Parent]. Why is that? You obviously knew that they won't be destroyed as long as your in the game, but you still hid him away from the war. Originally, I thought it could be because you didn't want to reveal his identity, and then it hit me. How the hell can I know who he was just by looking? Tiamat and I are special, since we and my grandfather, who I'm sure you researched, are almost identical. So just seeing her was enough to know that we’re related by blood. But your case is different right?”

Luka didn't say anything. Miko smirked and continued.

“The real reason you didn't let, your [Parent], Ouroboros fight, was because you didn't want to see him get hurt; even if it was a game.”

Miko came closer to her and spoke with a playful tone.

“Maybe, you couldn't bare to see a love one being torn apart? Could it because of a trauma? Did you witness your family getting slaughtered or something?”

He drew closer and whispered in her ear.

“Do want to see it again? Your love ones being slaughtered in front of your eyes?”

*Bam!*

Miko was sent flying by a punch, but quickly twisted his body to kill the force. He landed on his feet while grinning.

Luka glared at him with hateful eyes.

“I've decided. You're too dangerous Gamiko Dragna the Third!”

Luka's body started disappearing in her shadow.

“Prepare yourself! I'm going to kill you, if it's the last thing I do.”

Miko watched as Luka disappeared in the shadow.

“Aw~. She was the one who wanted to know the real me, and now she's upset.”

When he sense that her people who were following them had left as well, he started laughing and left the arcade.

(You provoked her on purpose? Why?)

“That's because she seemed fun to tease.”

(That's all?)

“No. I wanted to fight her as well. She was really impressive in the game. She was like a true warlord.”

(That's true.)

“That's why I want her.”

Miko grinned excitedly.

“I want her talents and limitless potential. She'll definitely become an unstoppable force in the future. I'll definitely need her, in order to raise to the summit.”

(So instead of taking your time to convince her like a normal person, you want to use force to make her submit? Aren't you quite the savage?)

“Persuasion would take too much time and energy; I'm too lazy for that. Besides, this is a world were the strong do what ever they want; do you have a problem with me doing whatever I want?”

(Not at all. Do as you wish. Besides, a fight between two Proxies, should be entertaining. Especially, it's between the children of Boros and myself.)

“Then it's decided.”

Miko looked up at the sky, as if trying to calm the excitement in his heart.

“My first fight against another Proxy will be against Luka.”

He laughed a bit savagely, before saying-

“I can't wait!”
