“Ugh.” Raja Kint’s left straight smashes into the girl’s face.
The girl uses this chance to touch Raja Kint’s arm successfully. Raja Kint pulls his arm back and the pain shoots through his left arm. The girl notices him clenching his left arm. Raja Kint notices a freeze in her movements and sends a right punch. “Pow.” The girl falls to the ground. Unable to move fast enough as Raja Kint’s left arm punches forward. The girl quickly moves dodging the heatwave ki slamming the arena.
Raja Kint looks up at the girl. The girl looks back and takes her stance. Even with fear running through her. That left punch that she couldn’t react to shockingly surprised her. She has only ever experienced one other person who made her feel fear from a single punch.
Raja Kint steps forward. With his body constantly moving, predicting his movements became harder. “Pow.” Her head rocks back. “Pow!” She falls backward, spitting out blood. Before hitting the ground she sticks her hands out to catch herself. Performing a flip to land upright.
Raja Kint sees her condition both physically and mentally is worsening. He decides to transfer all of the ki he can to his legs. “Fwoosh!” Raja Kint moves so fast to the girl that her eyes can’t keep track. Her heart seizes as a punch appears in the corner of her right eye.
As Raja Kint is throwing the punch he sends ki to his arm. The punch slams against her face. With the punch angled downward her head whacks into the arena as her body bounces. Raja Kint flexes his fingers as the referee comes over. Seeing the girl is out cold he declares Raja Kint the winner. Raja Kint casually hops off the stage. Everyone leaving to prepare for the final four.
As they’re walking back Exochos Kint says, “Seems you held out on me.”
“I wasn’t the only one,” responds Raja Kint.
King Kint is looking at Raja Kint with curiosity. The others looking at him with shock. Everything he showed from the moment he instilled fear into the girl showed how strong he was for his cultivation level. King Kint knew how strong the true first fist of devastation was in Raja Kint’s hands as well. Now with some time having passed Raja Kint might’ve advanced it even further.
As the days pass, people are having discussions about the top four. The fact that Raja Kint and Exochos Kint come from the same place is enough to make people look deeper into King Kint. When people learned of his nature as a young man. Many knew that King Kint wouldn’t be satisfied with his sect’s current position with such rising talents. Many especially wondered about Exochos Kint's potential after he knocked out one of the two favorites to win the competition.
Then there was the boy who uniquely used a chameleon technique. He was known but never did anyone expect him to be a top-four competitor. Many didn’t pay him much attention. Then there was the boy who came into this competition as one of the two favorites. Still holding the position as the favorite to win it all in people’s minds. Some even wondered with the competition being this fierce. How strong was Josho Fenix to claim the spot as strongest? Would he be able to hold his spot?
Thoughts didn’t stop there as many wondered about the actual distance between the top four and the higher powers. Rumors began spreading during this competition that Josho Fenix had beaten many young talents of his age from the higher powers. And this was shortly after being accepted by a higher power.
Many understood that an unknown aspect of this competition was to understand potential future landscape changes within the empire. But, with the current generation many people were unsure how the future could play out.
Raja Kint opens his eyes to the sun shining through his window. “After today I’ll have just one match.”
Eventually everyone meets outside and begins walking over.
Rhode Kint says to both the boys, “If either of you get that chameleon bastard then make him pay for beating me.”
Exochos Kint replies, “You should focus on getting stronger.”
Rhode Kint looks toward her brother, pulling the edge of her mouth and sticking her tongue out. Kyoot Kint laughing. Rhode Kint looks toward Raja Kint. “You’ll avenge me right?”
“I’m focused on winning.” Raja Kint doesn’t bother looking at her. He was thinking about how strong his opponents were. He knew Exochos Kint wouldn’t be easy to beat. The chameleon boy would probably prove to be annoying. And the favorited boy was simply put: strong. From his earlier fights he proved peerless in hand to hand. With a strong body and powerful ki techniques to boot.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
They soon reached the arena as Raja Kint sat within his array. He quite enjoyed these arrays as they supplied them with a higher concentration of ki. Josho Fenix steps forward and picks out the battles again. With the two bouts as follows. Raja Kint vs Chameleon Boy and Exochos Kint vs the favorite. People were interested in both battles. Raja Kint’s bout many people considered a bout of dark horses. While Exochos Kint’s bout was a battle between one who took down a favorite vs the single remaining favorite.
At this point, everyone knew that the top four would get picked no question. Now it was curiosity as to who was the strongest.
Raja Kint steps onto the arena along with the chameleon boy. The ringing sounds and the two dash toward each other. Raja Kint stomps his left leg and jumps backward. The boy instantly closing the distance and sending a punch where he just was. Raja Kint sways forward sending a right punch. The boy’s left leg that’s slightly bent launches forward.
Raja Kint doesn’t connect as the kick sinks into his midsection. Causing him to slightly rise into the air and fly backward. He flips before landing and touches where the kick landed. Alarm bells ringing in his mind. No wonder Rhode Kint was beaten so easily. Even with my powerful body I feel pain. And the kick was so fast that I couldn’t react. His ears slightly twitch and he rolls to the left.
Wind whirs by his right shoulder from a left punch. The boy springs forth his chameleon full-body technique as he disappears from Raja Kint’s vision. Raja Kint quickly transfers ki to his ears.
“Pow.” Raja Kint gets hit in the back. He quickly sends a roundhouse kick connecting with air. His eyes narrow as he hears a very slight sound. He steps backward and punches to his right. A heatwave ki spreads out and seems to hit a wall. The boy reappears as he guards against the heatwave ki. Raja Kint closes in when he gets a bad feeling.
The boy seemed to be using his left leg as support. Raja Kint assumed this is the reason why it’s bent. He quickly realized this wasn’t the only reason as the boy instantly closed the distance. Slamming a fist into Raja Kint’s chest. Raja Kint felt himself jerked backward then forward into a kick.
It’s the damn stickiness, he’s jerking me however he wants. Raja Kint clenches his right fist and punches forth. The boy leaps backward, the punch pounding air. Then he closes the distance and lands two blows against Raja Kint. Raja Kint feels a leg hook his right leg. He attempts to readjust his positioning when he feels his leg not move. Instead, The boy used his stickiness to build momentum for an attack. Raja Kint threw his own punch.
Raja Kint’s punch is overpowered as a fist lands against his chest. He tried to retaliate only for the boy to go invisible again. Raja Kint looks straight ahead. He didn’t go anywhere! “Pow!” A kick lands against his rib cage. Forcing him to stumble backward from the force and pain. He also hears creaking coming from his body. Causing his mind to race as he backed away while the boy went invisible. Is he about to break bones? He hits hard but it shouldn’t be this hard.
Pain wracks Raja Kint’s body as he continues to fight. A moment of trading blows arrives again and he decides to use a 100% ki concentrated punch. “Bang!” The punch sends the boy’s arm flying to the side. The punch caving his chest inward as he flies back. But, before he was out of range he sent a devastating kick in return.
Raja Kint could hear how much his body was creaking. He also noticed the pain was increasing at a ridiculously fast rate. He almost couldn’t focus on anything else. His chest heaves up and down as he falls to a knee. His forehead glistening from the sweat. He continues to watch the boy.
The boy recovers from the punch and once again goes invisible. Raja Kint stands up, doing his best to focus as the sweat is drenching him, his breathing becoming more ragged. Damn, this definitely isn’t how I expected the match to go. As long as I’m not forced out of the arena I can continue on somehow. He doesn’t have much defense just offense.
Raja Kint sways backward as a punch sails past. Barely missing his nose. Raja Kint grabs the arm, swinging the boy into the air and slamming him into the ground. As the boy is being swung downward he sends two kicks into Raja Kint’s face. Raja Kint releases the boy mid-slam from the excruciating pain.
The boy looks at Raja Kint. “Disappointing.”
Raja Kint can’t even muster words as he begins to feel vertigo from the pain. He stumbly walks forward before falling down. The boy approaches and sends a kick to send Raja Kint out of the arena. Raja Kint grabs the kick and slams the boy into the ground some distance away.
“Don’t *huff huff* take me *huff huff* lightly,” sputters Raja Kint as he falls backward. The creaking within his body blocking out all outside noises. As the pain reaches unimaginable levels he hears a series of pops in his body. Feeling his body changing, moving about as if he’s undergoing a restructure. There seems to be an incalculable number of pops until they disappear. Everything having returned to normal. Raja Kint looks over to see the boy coming over. From the feeling of pain and now nothingness. He feels good, no, not just good, euphoric. He feels like a breath is trapped in his throat and so he takes a big, big breath in. Surprising himself.
“My body,” mumbles Raja Kint. He can feel the outside ki rushing to enter his body. His strength ever increasing. Raja Kint stands up while the boy stops and raises his eyebrows.
“What the…” The boy’s eyebrows shoot up. He can feel the flow of ki increasing around Raja Kint. In fact, there was so much ki flowing around Raja Kint. That he felt some trepidation. “This is too much for a stage increase. Is this your body?”
Raja Kint clenched his fists as the ki rushed into his body. Mumbling, “Why now of all times? Is this another part of the tenth stage?” He looks toward the boy and dashes over.
