29: Improvement

The Chieftain stood outside the prison and furrowed his brows. Not understanding what was going on he opened the front door to the prison. The first thing he noticed was Raja Kint sitting down with an ethereal aura around him.

Raja Kint turned his head to look at the Chieftain. On eye contact, the Chieftain felt as though he was being suppressed beyond the powers of his understanding. In the next moment, he was back in prison. Cold sweat covered his back and forehead.

Raja Kint says, “Fellow Cultivator, I’m currently being enlightened and would appreciate no disturbances.”

The Chieftain thought for a moment. “Two things before I agree. One you have to help us win an upcoming battle. There should be no one above limbo realm.” The Chieftain paused before determination filled his eyes.

“I want your help on the limbo realm breakthrough.”

Raja Kint responds, “Agreed.”

The Chieftain left, closed the door and sat in front of the prison.

Raja Kint turned his attention back toward the moon as a thought crossed his mind. The Chief must have some understanding of earth law to notice me.

He thought back to when the World Patriarch sent him into a vision. Raja Kint to this day could never truly understand if what the World Patriarch showed him was illusion or reality.

In that vision, Raja Kint remembered how the meteors had such strength that planets exploded on impact. Some meteors were left unscathed after the collision. He also thought of how the earth on planets sustained life throughout what felt like hundreds of thousands of years.

In that vision, Earth was an indestructible life-giver. Sadly, I’ve not grasped enough on life. But I can make myself as indestructible as possible. And increase the strength of my combat. I can also implement this into the array. After all, the array currently is nowhere near its might under Mother.

His eyes glinted as he placed his hands on the ground. Suddenly the earth encased him inside a cocoon made of dirt with grass on the outside.

The next day, the Chieftain told everyone not to enter the prison. He even took it a step further by personally guarding the prison. The man who ran the prison didn’t care. This was a vacation to chill. The young girl was annoyed but didn’t dare go against the Chieftain.

On the second day, Odayakana arrived before the Chieftain.

Odayakana bowed, “Afternoon Chieftain.”

“Afternoon.” Said the Chieftain as he slowly opened his eyes.

“I’ve been wondering about your visit and have to ask. The outsider… is their name Raja Kint?”

“I’m not sure what his name is. We’ve only referred to him as outsider.”

“Is the outsider a boy with dark hair, blue eyes and seems to be a child prodigy in cultivation.”

The Chieftain nodded his head.

“May I go inside to see him?”

“You’ll see him soon enough. For now, he’s doing something important.”

“I hope you aren’t still considering killing him.”

“For now we’ve made a deal. If he goes back on it in any way expect to smell his corpse.”

Odayakana sighed in relief, thanked the Chieftain and left.

While the moon is cooling the world for the third day. The earthly cocoon around Raja Kint cracks. More cracks appear as a white hand pierces through. The hand recedes before the top of the cocoon is blasted off. Dirt flying everywhere as a young boy shows.

To think not only would I acquire earth law and loosely grasp the way of stars. I also used this chance to nourish my body completely! Finally breaking through to the inner ki realm tenth stage. And I reached the outer ki realm second stage! My law might only be at the amorphous stage. But with the visions from the World Patriarch, it won’t be soon before my amorphous earth law is a manifest-king earth law. Plus, I’ve gained insights into my nature ki. It seems the World Patriarch truly is a genius even in naming. I think this ki has a natural affinity toward the elements.

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.

Raja Kint flexed his muscles and squeezed his fists feeling the strength within his body.

This tenth stage is truly a marvelous idea. It’s just the difficulty of reaching this point was way harder than I thought. Anyway, there shouldn’t be anyone below the limbo realm that can kill me. Even facing the Chieftain without my spear limbo techniques won’t result in immediate defeat. But to cross the barrier between outer ki realm and limbo realm won’t be so easy. After all, my array and spear arts might be considered limbo realm techniques. But against a limbo realm in battle, they may not hold up so well.

Raja Kint was thinking back to when the Academy Headmaster destroyed his array with a limbo realm attack.

Well, with my current abilities, I’m more than strong enough to survive this supposed war. Actually, I should’ve asked for the flower.

At this thought Raja Kint frowned. He had already agreed and there was no way he could rescind. He was far too tunnel-visioned at the moment. To consider the flower.

All these mistakes I make now are good. I won’t make the same mistakes when I’m dealing with far stronger and more cunning people.

Raja Kint walked to the front of the prison and opened the door. The chieftain opened his eyes and turned to look at Raja Kint.

“Err, fellow cultivator… may we add the plant I’m looking for into the deal?” asked Raja Kint sheepishly.

The Chieftain looked at Raja Kint with a bit of shock. Before lightly shaking his head and smiling. “It’s fine.”

With how Raja Kint has been treated and the potential he’s shown the Chieftain forgot that in the end. The outsider is still just a kid.

“Good thing you finished up at night. I’ll walk you to your residence during your stay. There are also some clothes prepared for you. So that you fit in more with our tribe. It’ll help people accept you better.”

“Thank you for the arrangements.”

The two walked to a home close to their military. The home looked just as good as the other homes he had seen. Now that he thought about it he wondered if the Chieftain even lived lavishly. Or did he also live in a simple home? After a few moments, he decided the latter.

“I’ll come to retrieve you tomorrow morning. You’ll be introduced to the other eight men who lead this tribe.”

“You don’t lead it yourself?”

“The final decision is mine but these eight men have the second highest authority after me. Plus I won’t interfere in much unless it concerns the tribes’ survival.”

Raja Kint nodded his head before entering his home. Straight back is his bed, to the left is a kitchen and to the right side is open space. Raja Kint designated the open space for cultivation. Quickly setting up an array in the open space. He sighed as he fell into his bed drifting to sleep

The sun shines through the window waking up Raja Kint. “It seems even with the tenth stage I need sleep. Oh well, not a big deal.”

He got up and began cultivating. After a few hours, he heard a knock at his door. Opening the door he found the girl with brown eyes.

“I was worried about you, you know. Here’s some food to celebrate your being out of jail. The other three will come by in a bit with more food.”

“Haha, you needn’t do such things for me. But I’ll gladly accept the food.”

The two began eating and after a few minutes, the other three arrived.

The tall boy says, “It’s time to celebrate the reunion of the five foresters!”

The others looked at him weirdly. The black-eyed girl profusely thanked Raja Kint for saving their lives.

Toshiro Shizen says, “We never actually told each other our names. I’ll begin, I’m Toshiro Shizen.”

The tall boy says, “I’m Tol Shizen.”

“Kuro Shizen!” Says the black-eyed girl.

The brown-eyed girl excitedly said, “And my name is Hana Shizen!”

“I’m Raja Kint.”

The four enjoyed themselves for a few hours before another knock was heard. Raja Kint walked to the door to find the Chieftain.

“It’s time to go over.”

Raja Kint nodded his head and turned toward the four kids.

“I wish we could talk longer but I have to go with the Chieftain for now.”

Kuro Shizen walked up to the Chieftain giving a bow, “Hello Chieftain.”

The Chieftain nodded in response.

“Is it possible to let Raja Kint stay with us at least for the morning?”

The other three kids backed her up and the Chieftain waved his hand. Quieting down the kids.

“For the morning but he has to come in the afternoon. Some important talks are needed.”

Three of the kids excluding Toshiro Shizen cheered. Raja Kint smiled as he cupped his fists toward the Chieftain.
