It’s been two weeks since the disciple pair set off for the Lerup Sect. The two notice an increase in foot traffic on the path. After looping around some trees they finally see in the distance the Lerup Sect.
Kyoot Kint says, “We finally see it, ah, for a moment I thought we were lost.”
Raja Kint wryly smiled, inwardly he was happy to have finally made it. The two approach the entrance and enter the sect. Kyoot Kint leads them straight to the Lerup Academy. While walking Raja Kint curiously looked around. The sect wasn’t any more grand than the Kint Sect. In terms of the architecture they were about the same.
As they approached the entrance to the Lerup Academy two guards halted them.
The left guard says, “Non-residents of the academy can’t enter.”
Kyoot Kint replies, “We’ve been sent by Master A from the Kint Academy to deliver a letter to a close friend.”
The guards exchanged glances as the right guard held his hand out, “We’ll pass the letter for you.”
Kyoot Kint shook her head, “We were explicitly told to hand it to the person.”
The guards stepped a few feet away as they began whispering. Raja Kint used this moment to direct ki toward his ears. Ever since he witnessed the Shizen Tribe’s Chieftain use ki to enhance his vision. He had been slowly working on using ki to amplify his senses. Now, he listened as the guards discussed what to do. Eventually, one of them decided to report it to the academy.
The right guard came over, “We’ll have a higher-up come out to escort you two.”
The two nodded their heads as they stood and waited. Being at the entrance of the academy the two attracted a bit of attention. Raja Kint was still only nine and had extremely cute features. Whereas Kyoot Kint was a bit older and one could tell she would be quite attractive when older. The kids coming and going would constantly stare at the two.
Soon, a boy came over with long hair, brown eyes and gray clothes. He stopped before the two and was about to speak when he did a double take toward Raja Kint. Noticing this Raja Kint lifted his head and looked at the boy. The two stared for a moment before the boy spoke.
“You give me some chills little brother. How strong are you?”
“I’m a bit strong.”
The boy nodded his head as he turned toward Kyoot Kint. The two talked for a bit and after about ten minutes the guard reappeared with a middle-aged woman. She had shoulder-length hair, hazel eyes with a white outfit. Raja Kint could tell she was someone in the limbo realm as well. Seeing her the boy quickly said goodbye as he ran away.
The woman’s eyes looked at the boy running. Then turned her gaze toward the two kids before her, “So you’re the disciples he has now. I wonder if you’re any stronger than my disciples.” She looked closer at Kyoot Kint, “The seventh." She looked at Raja Kint, “The sixth, but you seem quite young.” Her hand reached forward and squeezed Raja Kint’s cheeks.
Raja Kint felt embarrassed and tried to pull away. But with her limbo realm strength how could he? While holding his cheek she said, “Come inside, knowing that fool he made you walk over here for training.”
Kyoot Kint quickly responded, “He did make us walk here. I was afraid we had lost our way multiple times but we stayed on the path.”
The woman nodded her head as the three walked into the academy. They drew everyone’s attention not only for being unrecognizable but also for Raja Kint’s face being held the entire way while wearing a scowl. They soon reached a simple-looking hut with herbs around it. Raja Kint looked around and said, “Seems like these herbs are in perfect condition because of an array. A waste of energy if you ask me.”
The woman looked back at him with a smile, “You’ve scowled the whole way and now you want to lecture me? Has he given you no discipline?”
Seeing the look in her eyes Raja Kint darted his eyes away toward the herbs, “They are nice looking, maybe it’s because I'm too young to understand.”

“Hmm, it would seem so.” Replied the woman as they reached the door.
She opened the door as the three entered and closed the door. Raja Kint’s face was let go as he and Kyoot Kint sat on a fur rug. The woman sat down on a bed.
The woman said, “Pull out the letter.”
Raja Kint narrowed his eyes and said, “How do we know you’re the person master was referring to?”
“It would seem I need to take more liberty with your cute face,” Said the woman smilingly.
Raja Kint’s face fell as Kyoot Kint spoke up, “Master told me who the person we’re supposed to meet looks like. And… um, yeah.”
“What else did he tell you dear.”
“That she can be a bit… weird.”
“It would seem I have to speak to him at the competition.”
Kyoot Kint took out the letter and handed it to the woman. She opened the letter as the room descended into silence. The woman smiled as she peered over the paper at the two sitting down.
She said, “I’ll get you two accommodations.”
Raja Kint quickly replied, “We were only told to deliver the letter.”
The woman lowered the paper as she stood up and walked toward Raja Kint. Raja Kint stood up and ran for the door. When he tried the door it wouldn’t budge. At this moment he felt like he was played by his master.
The woman pinched Raja Kint’s cheek as she spoke. “He wants you both to experience the outer world a bit. So stay within our academy for a while and learn as you wish.”
Kyoot Kint’s eyes lit up while Raja Kint felt like crying. He just wanted to get away from this woman. The woman led Kyoot Kint and Raja Kint whose cheek was still pinched toward some free cave abodes. The two chose cave abodes next to each other and finally got the chance to settle down. The woman also told them to come to her in the morning.
As Raja Kint sat in Kyoot Kint’s cave abode, the two chatted about the Lerup Sect.
Kyoot Kint says, “I’ve heard the Lerup Sect is no lesser than our Kint Sect. Although, our academy usually gets poorer performances than the Lerup Academy.”
“Hmph, what young arrayist can contend with me? I’m in a class of my own so I’m sure there’s no one to learn from.”
“Well that’s because you’re a freak. A little freak who can’t take a few pinches on the cheek.”
Hearing this Raja Kint gritted his teeth. “That woman’s pinches are brutal. She even left faint red marks there. If I was master I would also send my disciples to deliver a message instead of going myself.”
Kyoot Kint chuckled, “It probably wasn’t only to not meet her. There were ulterior motives.” They fell silent for a moment before she spoke again, “Can you show me the Great Earthly Palm Array?”
“Sure, but I still can’t conjure a full hand. I’m two fingers short.”
Kyoot Kint scrunched her brows, “Showoff, I should ask senior to check your array.”
Raja Kint frowned as he began working on the array. After some time the array finished as Raja Kint sighed. “It’s still not all the way there.”
Kyoot Kint annoyedly looked at Raja Kint, “Just this alone proves you’re an array novice. After all, this array wasn’t even meant for limbo realms. It had to be simplified down from the earth devourer stage.”
Raja Kint sat within his array and placed his hands down. A chunk of the cave the size of a baseball appeared in front of him. Rock began morphing its shape and soon it resembled an actual hand. With the same size as a child’s hand but missing one finger.
Kyoot Kint said, “You’re already only a finger short? Jeez, can you show off anymore?”
Raja Kint chuckled as he directed the hand toward her. She punched the hand with all her strength and yet the hand calmly caught her punch. Lifted her up and lightly threw her toward the wall. She turned over pushing off the wall to land.
“Even at the late stage I can’t do anything. The strength you’re displaying is incredible.”
Raja Kint was wondering about how to get the last finger. Once he could fully form the hand then the array technique would be considered comprehended to the lowest possible level. Once he reached that point he wanted to attempt using earth law.
As using earth law on such a weak, uncomplete technique might crumble the technique instead. Therefore, he wants to push it to the bare minimum where it’ll be considered a genuine technique. Or else, as it is now, Raja Kint can’t maintain the disfigured hand for long. And to his estimations, it should be able to contend with outer ki realm ninth stage cultivators. Possibly peak outer ki cultivators for a couple of clashes.
After discussing arrays for a few more hours Raja Kint left for his cave abode. Without a bed, he could only lay on the cold, hard floor. He didn’t care as he wore his bear coat and closed his eyes. The array disk keeping him safe.
