“It seems your newest student understands topography for array placement.”
“If he pulls this off then the Academy will have our first-ever monstrous genius. Creating an array while in the inner ki realm is unheard of anywhere.”
Raja Kint surveyed the ground before grabbing a broom. With the handle of the broom, he begins making an array. The two men watch in wonder as the shape is being made. Neither of them recognized the array.
After about 20 minutes Raja Kint puts the broom away and sits in the middle of his array. Drawing the ki within his body to his palms before placing them on the ground.
A green turtle shell appears around Raja Kint. “If you don’t mind headmaster please attack my array.”
“Quite the confident young boy, let’s see if such confidence is warranted.” From his hand appears a forearm-length spear that’s thrown at the shell. Both men are shocked to see the spear strike the shell and the shell not shake in the slightest.
“Hmph, it seems mid-stage outer ki realm isn’t enough. Let’s see about late-stage outer ki.” Another spear condensed slightly larger hurling through the air.
Raja Kint looked at this spear with slight worry in his eyes. The contact makes the array flicker and Raja Kint pushes more ki to sustain the array.
“It seems my newest student is truly special.”
The Headmaster looks at Raja Kint with bright eyes as he condenses an arm-length spear on par with a peak outer ki. “If the boy takes this then he might be an inner ki realm novice arrayist.” Excitement gleams in his eyes he throws the spear over.
Seeing this Raja Kint raises an eyebrow. He knows that without the array this attack will kill him. Leaving no chance for survival. He trusts in this array as despite its simplicity his mother told him this is an array that Divinities can use. Not to mention the fact that he’s using the most simple form of the array. Even with his strength the array is showing its magnificence.
On contact, the array seems to be struggling to hold but then Raja Kint injects more ki. Strengthening the array to its previous appearance.
This time Raja Kint’s face has lost some color and he begins regulating his breathing. While drawing more ki into his body he says with excitement.
“Please use the power of a limbo realm, Headmaster!”
The two men look at each other and the Headmaster’s eyes harden. A real black and yellow, body-length spear appears in his hands. He lunges forward and strikes the shell.
Seeing the Headmaster Raja Kint hardens his eyes as he sends ki into the array. Despite being on such a powerful planet he never was in battle against a cultivator of this caliber.
Cracks are extending along the shell as Raja Kint furiously extends ki into the array. Like shards of a mirror the array breaks after a few seconds. Raja Kint coughs up blood with a pale face.
The headmaster looks at Raja Kint in astonishment. With them being apart by two realms the array should’ve never held up. But somehow the array was able to last for a few seconds.
Although those few seconds aren’t much it could still be the difference between life and death.
Teacher Array says, “You’re probably the only inner ki realm in existence who can withstand the attack of a limbo realm. Even if only for a few seconds. But you must remember that the headmaster used the lowest possible strength of a limbo realm. Any true limbo realm will hit you with much more terrifying power than what you just witnessed.”
Raja Kint stands up, “Student won’t be too happy.”
Teacher Array nodded his head, “Come back in a few days, we’ll be looking to push you for the competition.”
As Raja Kint gets up he stumbles over and falls down. Smiling wryly, it seems that I'm too exhausted to even walk. And from what they said any limbo realm will show strength far greater than that.

“Here’s a pill, gather your strength before heading home.”
Raja Kint thanks the Headmaster and begins recuperating. Home… that’s right my true home probably no longer exists. That underground cage isn’t a home, this sect isn’t a home and nowhere in this world is a home. Maybe only the cabin… it doesn’t give me the feeling of home so it can’t be home. It seems that right now I have no home.
Realizing this Raja Kint understood that unless it was with his family. He’ll never have a home again. On his face blood leaks from his nose and he quickly wipes it away. In relief that the two left after giving him the pill.
The blood represented the sadness that gripped his heart.
After recuperating Raja Kint leaves Teacher Array's house in a sad mood. His heart felt physical pain and he could only suppress the sadness as best he could.
While walking he paid no attention to his surroundings. A few students saw Raja Kint and sneered at him. “The new student thinks he’s too much of a genius for the rest of us.”
“He probably had amazing results today and will garner resources. While the rest of us have to risk our lives to become stronger.”
Raja Kint walked with a heavy heart and these words weighed on him even more. He was never liked in his generation even back on the Kint Planet. Kids his age wouldn’t play with him.
He could put up a facade that he didn’t care but of course, he cared. Luckily, he always had his mother and siblings to keep him emotionally afloat. Now with a moment to breathe since venturing into this world, the sadness drowned him.
Reaching his house he entered and curled into a ball on the floor. Moonlight shone through the windows as he cried until he fell asleep.
The next few days Raja Kint did nothing but focus on arrays and hand-to-hand combat. As these reminded him of his family.
Soon enough the time arrived and he traveled to Teacher Array. At the front door is a cute girl exiting. Raja Kint could immediately guess that she would be in the competition. She was far stronger than other students and she probably uses arrays.
“Hey, boyo come on in,” shouted Teacher Array.
Raja Kint smiled wryly as he entered. Teacher Array brought out a pouch and sat it on a table. “This pouch should be enough for you to break through into the outer ki realm. There are other materials for you to focus on arrays inside this pouch. Also, I don’t want you taking on any missions until you reach the outer ki realm. Hopefully, you’ll be capable of escaping any dangerous situations.”
Raja Kint nodded his head in response to everything.
“Also once your cultivation is high enough I’ll take you in as a direct disciple. That way I can speed up your array progress. That’s all go on and cultivate.”
Raja Kint bowed, took the bag and left. After walking for a few minutes he saw the girl from earlier looking at him from a crowd of people.
“Hey, new guy why are you meeting Teacher Array so many times and even the Headmaster?”
Hearing this the crowd around her became silent and all eyes fell on Raja Kint. He didn’t think much about her words and walked past. Suddenly a hand grabbed his arm, yanking him backward.
A boy angrily says, “Did you not hear what Senior Sister just said?”
Raja Kint looked at the sky before responding.
“I was lost in my thoughts can you tell me what she said.”
“Why are you meeting Teacher Array and the Headmaster?”
“They have questions and wanted to personally test my talent. I won’t be visiting them anytime soon. Excuse me but I’ll be going now.” Raja Kint yanked his arm away and continued walking. Still looking at the sky.
Once Raja Kint arrived at his house he decided he would first focus on reaching the outer ki realm. Being in the inner ki is limiting him too greatly. Plus, he was nervous about his ki.
When breaking through at nine to cultivate he knew he gathered enough ki for him to not start at the lowest realm and stage. It was like his body needed a boost just to be able to cultivate.
He sneered, “I don’t care if the heavens make it more difficult because of my ki. I’ll still gather my family, kill our enemies and defy the heavens. Because clearly, the heavens have no heart.”
He opened the bag to see enough materials to boost him to the outer ki realm third stage.
He displayed the plants and pills with their descriptions before himself and read through them all.
“It seems these green wing plants are great for increasing the quantity of ki within the body. And these ki-stage ki-sensing pills help with sensing the ki around you for breaking through to the outer ki realm.”
Raja Kint thinks for a moment and grabs a leaf before tossing it into his mouth. Immediately he feels the ki in his body increase but it’s not all rotating causing physical pain. If ki doesn’t circulate properly then it can be considered ki deviation. Leading to a painful death.
Raja Kint begins circulating the ki. After a few minutes, he broke through to the inner ki realm ninth stage and smiled.
