“Ughh.”
A pair of unfocused blue eyes opened to see a wooden ceiling above.
The eyes struggled to focus due to the bright sunlight peering through the windows. After a few minutes of adjusting, Raja Kint sat up and looked around him.
It’s an all-wood cabin, with plenty of room. With a small kitchen, table and bed all in one room together.
At one end was a door that led outside. If coming in from outside, to the left is another door.
Raja Kint breathed the air in and realized how ki rich this cabin was. Clearly, it wasn’t made by any ordinary person.
As he went to get up images flashed through his mind.
The bloody cruelties of war, bodies dropping with lifeless eyes, and his parents turning to dust before him. All flashed rapidly as he clutched his head and screamed in agony. Tears flowed down his face and he fell back onto the ground.
After some time Raja Kint opened his eyes to see day had turned to night. With his sleeve, he wiped the snot and tears from his face. Then he got up and walked to the mysterious door.
He opened the door and saw it was a study. There was a table and above it was a window. Under the table, Raja Kint spotted a “kint” written down.
Suddenly he remembered about the World Patriarch’s pouch. He grabbed the pouch from within his clothes. As he pressed it against his forehead he noticed that it disappeared into his head.
He was shocked to realize what happened but turned his attention towards the “kint” writing.
He moved the chair from under the table. Bent down and placed his finger on the spot. As soon as he made contact the name lit up with a dim white light.
“So you’ve finally found me boy.” a familiar voice sounded.
Raja Kint was shaken as he looked up. To see on top of the table was his father in soul form. He was so small that he was about the size of Raja Kint’s head.
“What have you done so far?” asked Enyo Kint.
“I haven’t done anything. I woke up, came into this room, checked under the table and you appeared,” replied Raja Kint.
Enyo Kint said, “Tell me what questions you have. Then I’ll tell you some important things.”
Raja Kint quickly spurt out, “Do brother and sister also have a soul form of you? Is there a soul form of mom? Why is this cabin so ki rich? Where am I even at? What do I do from here? Is this what you meant when you said that it wouldn’t be the last I see of you?”
Raja Kint took a deep breath and fell back into the chair looking at his father.
Enyo Kint replied, “Your brother and sister do not have me to talk to. I left them recorded messages for certain points in cultivation. But those messages aren’t sentient like I am here. About your mother, there is a soul of hers that’s also safe. Once you’re strong enough I’ll naturally tell you where she is. This cabin is ki rich because it’s made by me. This is one of my hideaways in case something happened and now it’s also your hideaway. There’s more to this cabin than what you notice now. But I won’t let you be privy to those secrets until you get stronger.”
Enyo Kint paused for a moment as he looked outside then back toward Raja Kint.
He continues, “Where you are is far, far away from where home was. You’re in an entirely different realm. Meaning that you are pretty much hidden from our enemies. I sent your siblings to another realm. Different from this realm and your home realm. And yes my previous words to you meant exactly this situation here.”
“Father you missed a question.”
“That’s not a question for me to answer. That’s a question for you to figure out.”

Raja Kint sat for a moment to ponder over what his father told him so far. He looked up to say, “How long has it been since that day?”
“About four days, my perception of time is a bit off as I keep this soul dormant. On my supposed death this soul became my main soul.”
“Became your main soul? So this soul before me is only a piece of your whole soul?”
Enyo Kint sighed, “The dao world is quite vicious so now this is my main soul. I’ll have to recuperate and I’ll use this cabin to do that. Luckily I made thorough preparations otherwise I wouldn't be alive now.”
“You said there are some things you would tell me now that my questions are over. What do you want to tell me?”
Enyo Kint waved his hand and a scroll appeared out of thin air. “This scroll has a path of cultivation that many aren’t sure will ever be walked to the end again. With the help of the World Patriarch and fellow supreme elders, we concocted this formula from the remnants of the previous epochs. It’s extremely risky and there are no records of anyone surviving this path. Maybe in previous epochs but the past hasn’t left much for us. This scroll contains a cultivation method that’s called the Heaven-Defying path.”
Enyo Kint waved his other arm and another scroll appeared. “This scroll is a path that’s also difficult to walk. But there are a scant few known cases of these experts in our current epoch. This is called the Heavenly Ruler path. I want you to walk both of these paths together.”
Raja Kint was shell-shocked at the reveal. He had never heard of either of these methods before. From what his father said it’s probably only dao worlds that can uncover such cultivation secrets.
Raja Kint said, “Father these methods sound like they don’t work together at all. How would I even cultivate them both?”
Enyo Kint replies, “I don’t fully understand either. The World Patriarch is the one who said these paths can be traveled together in conjunction. Also, we’re sure that pieces are missing from the Heaven-Defying path so you’ll have to figure it out on your own. The core of walking that path is to never rely on the heavens. To never settle being beneath the heavens. One must at least be one step beyond the heavens.”
Enyo Kint tossed the two scrolls toward Raja Kint and he caught them.
Enyo Kint says, “During the final moments on the planet you seemed to have slightly comprehended something.”
Enyo Kint waved his arm as a storage ring appeared. Tossing it over to Raja Kint.
Raja Kint caught the ring fiddling with it to put the scrolls in. All of a sudden the scrolls went in and he was confused.
“I put them in, once you reach the outer ki realm you’ll be able to open the ring as you please,” said Enyo Kint.
Raja Kint nodded his head and began speaking. “Yeah, seeing you both turn from life to dust in that moment made me think there’s something more to it, something deeper.”
Enyo Kint laughed uproariously, “Your comprehension skills are truly mind-boggling. I look forward to the dao you seek.”
Raja Kint was quiet before saying. “Once I leave the cabin when should I come back?”
Enyo Kint sat silent for a moment. “Come back once you’re ready to reach the limbo-reborn realm. I will guide you on your breakthrough.”
Raja Kint repeated, “Before limbo-reborn realm…” and finally said, “ok, I got it.”
They looked at each other for a moment.
“What are you still doing here boy, go out into the world and experience your journey.”
Raja Kint nodded to his father and began walking out. When he reached the door he stopped and looked back. With a determined expression, he said. “Mother told me that an age of experts is here. And this will cause a wave of changes throughout the cultivation world.”
He paused then continued, “Father, I will rise to the top of this generation. I won’t ever let something like before happen again. I will be the strongest.”
With this proclamation, Raja Kint closed the door behind him.
Enyo Kint smiled to himself while thinking. It seems that my plan was correct in sending him here by himself. The fact that the red and black-haired dao world was surprised by his luck. Let me know that under the surface this boy has even more potential than his brother. I must make sure to nurture him properly every time he returns. With luck comes opportunities. And the greater the opportunity, the farther one might fall.
Enyo Kint floated through the table and disappeared into the “kint” writing.
Elsewhere in this new realm. Two men were fishing together. One middle-aged with salt and pepper hair. The other is middle-aged with bloody red hair.
The salt and pepper-haired man said, “It seems a kid was sent to my planet system.”
The bloody-haired man replied, “Little mice scurrying around for safety.”
The salt and pepper-haired man waved his left hand. In the image was Raja Kint inside the cabin. “It seems this boy is the son of the young man from before. Quite interesting indeed.”
The bloody-haired man said, “Interesting huh, seems there’s a story I don’t know about.”
“It’s not a story worth telling. I help many young cultivators on occasion. It’s not like I’ll go out of my way for any sprouts.” He waved his left hand and the image disappeared.
