It’s been a month since the two arrived at the academy. Raja Kint leaves his cave for the final time. The brisk breeze welcomed him back to outdoor adventures.
Many of the students who were present to witness the array competition are saying their goodbyes to Kyoot Kint. Raja Kint just watched from the side as some smiled or waved at him.
“Raja! Were you planning on leaving without saying anything?” says the Head Array Disciple.
“If we didn’t hurry over, we might’ve never seen you again,” says the seventh stage boy.
“We could always meet up at the big competition,” replied Raja Kint.
The seventh stage boy wryly smiled, “If we meet then I can only ask to fight together.”
The Head Array Disciple nodded in agreement.
Kyoot Kint laughed, “If we do meet at the competition we would have better chances with each other. Of course, in the one-on-one portion we can only rely on ourselves.”
The four chatted a bit longer before the two reached the academy’s entrance. Here, the two found the woman waiting, leaning against the academy wall. Her eyes lit up upon seeing the two.
“You have to be safe on your travels back. And make sure to win the tournament,” said the woman.
Kyoot Kint replied, “Can I know your name yet? We’ve become so close in only a month and you still keep your name a secret.”
The woman looked at Kyoot Kint’s soft eyes. She could feel herself about to give in. She calmly breathed a few more times before replying. “Sweetie, I told you before. I will tell you my name after you’ve been chosen at the competition.”
Kyoot Kint could only sigh at hearing those words again. The woman’s eyes went toward Raja Kint. “Raja, have fun exploring the world!" With those words she went back into the academy.
Raja Kint and Kyoot Kint look at each other for a moment before setting off.
A few days after setting off. The two are currently roasting some bear meat over a campfire. The meat shined above the fire with glistening oils. A stick appears and stabs through the meat. Before being raised to lips cracked from winter’s winds, covered in warm oils.
“Chomp.”
“I can come up with an excuse for master. You just need to be safe around here. Although, the strength around these parts is relatively low.” Kyoot Kint straightened her back and spoke in a stern tone. “Anything can happen in the world of cultivators.”
Raja Kint smiled, “That’s your best impression of him yet.”
“I’m serious.”
“Gulp.” The meat slid down into Raja Kint’s stomach. “I understand.”
The two soon went to sleep.
The night quietly passed and morning arrived. Raja Kint was the first to wake up. He looked at Kyoot Kint, rechecked the array and left.
Later that day he reaches a place he knew he would eventually return to. Didn’t think I would be back here so soon. He pulls a mask out that he got while at the Lerup Academy. The mask is a black oval. Fitting his current outfit of all black with the bear coat on. As Raja Kint walked through the town. Quite a few people were visibly uncomfortable with him here.
This is a town where only weaklings and people with no background would show up. Yet, Raja Kint wore luxurious black fur with a bear’s head for a hoodie. And a black mask covered his face. The people of the town weren’t retarded in the least and considered distance a friend to people dressed like Raja Kint.
Raja Kint’s blue pupils were the only things visible beneath the mask. He found a wall filled with missions for people to undertake. He walked up to an elderly female clerk. The woman quickly straightened herself out. Raja Kint stopped before her and leaned forward.
He lightly said, “I heard there was an outbreak of prisoners here under a year ago. I have some questions concerning this. Answer honestly and you’ll be rewarded with some ki stones.”
The woman’s face lit up at the mention of ki stones. She leaned in as well with a serious expression.
“Are the people who orchestrated that coliseum in town, right now?”
“Yes.”
“Where?”
“There’s a building behind the coliseum. The people who run this town are all housed there.”

“Are all of them there now?”
“I believe so. Unless someone snuck out.”
“Who’s the strongest?”
“The town leader is the strongest. Outer ki realm fifth stage.”
“Is there any news around these parts about one of the prisoners named Odigo?” Raja Kint was curious if he might have found footing somewhere. Although, he definitely wouldn’t reach the timeframe for the competition. He still had potential.
“There has been no news at all.”
Raja Kint discreetly slid her thirty low-grade ki stones. The woman visibly shook while quickly hiding them away.
She bowed, “Thank you for your generosity young master.”
Raja Kint turned around and walked toward the coliseum. If the strongest is only at the fifth stage then they're done for. Coldness seeped from his eyes. The people who glanced at him felt their heartbeats quicken. They didn’t dare stare too long, some people even decided to follow at a distance. Wherever this madman was going would lead to commotion in the surrounding areas.
As Raja Kint made his way to the building. The scenes from that night filled his mind. Nervousness washed over everyone that night. Many things could’ve gone wrong. Betrayals could’ve occurred, the townspeople could’ve attacked. Heck, they could’ve run into a group of outer ki realms. Before that, one of the guards could’ve gotten a signal off earlier. Resulting in a much bloodier escape.
Soon, Raja Kint reached the coliseum and walked past it. At this point the crowd behind him had tens of people muttering. When they saw him walking past the coliseum they immediately understood what was happening.
Raja Kint could now see the building mentioned before. It was a wide, simple-looking building with three floors. Raja Kint’s breathing became a bit ragged as the shizen tribe's spear appeared in his right hand. In the front of the building stood two guards in full armor. But, when Raja Kint got closer, he knew they weren’t in the outer ki realm.
“Sir stop!” said a guard sternly.
In Raja Kint’s left hand appeared the regular spear he still had. He cocked his arm back. When the guards saw this, their faces paled as they began shouting.
“INTRUDER!”
“BOOM!”
The guard who spoke first was impaled in the head and sent through the wall. Even though he tried to defend himself with a shield. The shield wasn’t strong enough to stop the spear’s momentum.
After Raja Kint killed one he quickly closed in on the other guard. The guard put his shield forward. Hoping to push Raja Kint back and get a mace hit in. Except, he severely underrated Raja Kint’s strength. When the guard noticed his speed it was too late to run. The golden tip of the spear pierced through the shield like a needle to skin and pierced through the guard’s body. Blood dribbled out of his mouth as he looked down and fell. Raja Kint pulled his spear out. The screams from within the building sounded out.
When the crowd saw how easily he dispatched the guards. They understood that things were going to be worse than they initially thought.
Raja Kint stretched his neck to the sides. Walking in through his freshly made hole.
“WHO DARES!”
Raja Kint looked toward the stairs as four men at the outer ki realm appeared.
A middle-aged man with specks of gray hair said, “You’ve come to the wrong place. I’m at the fifth stage of the outer ki realm. With these three in the early stage. Don’t think you’ll get out of here with your life bastard.”
Raja Kint coldly replied, “Die.”
When he spoke that word the four men felt their hearts turn cold. Wasn’t the voice extremely young? And, now that they thought about it, wasn’t the person also short? The middle-aged man quickly said, “Let’s kill him and disappear. The world is a big place.”
The other three nodded their heads.
Raja Kint sprinted forward, shocking everyone with his speed. The crowd couldn’t believe how fast he was moving. An early ki realm elder pulled out a sword to strike back. But, not only was there a clear difference in personal strengths. Even their weapons were in completely different worlds. The sword shattered on contact and the spear pierced through his throat.
The other three had already pulled out their weapons. Another elder wielded a sword, a young man held an ax and the middle-aged man wielded a saber.
The three went to strike Raja Kint at the same time. Raja Kint smoothly pulled his spear out of the man’s neck. Blood splashing out, falling onto Raja Kint’s mask and bear fur. And he swept his spear. Knocking back the ax user, his arm becoming dislocated as his face paled in fright. Then, he knocked the sword user away, cracking the sword. As the man flew the sword simply fell apart. The saber user despite his cultivation was knocked back, flying into a wall.
Raja Kint closed in on the ax user. The man quickly got up with a limp arm and attempted to run.
How could he ever escape Raja Kint’s speed? Raja Kint quickly caught up and stabbed the man’s head. His right eyeball dangled as the spear held his head. Raja Kint pulled the spear out. Sprinting toward the sword user. The sword user could barely move and screamed at the top of his lungs in the face of death.
“Squelch.”
Raja Kint pulled the spear out from the man’s chest and looked toward the middle-aged man. The middle-aged man looked back at Raja Kint with helplessness.
“Why are you doing this? Who are you?” asked the man calmly.
Raja Kint pulled his mask off. Shocking everyone as their guesses turned out right. It was a young child, although nobody expected such a cute face. The man immediately came to a realization.
“So it’s you. I figured if anyone was to come back it would be you. But to be this early. I thought it wouldn’t be until after that huge competition,” the man had clearly lost his will to fight. Even if he somehow escaped today through pure luck. His head would be on a swivel with not a day of rest for life.
Raja Kint coldly said, “You can die knowing you were too weak to even beat a child.”
The man’s face contorted in anger, “To blaspheme me even at this stage! It’s not like I have absolutely nothing!” He reached into his shirt and pulled out a talisman. “Fireball!” He tossed the talisman into the air and out came a head-sized fireball moving toward Raja Kint.
