11: Killing

After the meal, the three boys returned to their room. When they entered, the beady-eyed boy was gone. Raja Kint noticed the two boys glance at him before sitting down.

Raja Kint sat down on the opposite side of the door.

The scarred boy says, “You should know that there are three meals a day. If you can even call them meals. And the third meal is only for those who fought for that day. You’ll know you’re fighting when they announce the names of everyone picked to fight later on. When they announce the names you have to go to the gate leading upward.”

Raja Kint nodded his head and began cultivating.

“Creak.”

Raja Kint opened his eyes to see four boys and a girl. And the one leading them all is the beady-eyed boy who said. “He’s the one right here. Going around beating people up and not paying his respects to the leader.”

The girl side-eyed the boy in disdain and said. “You’ll be rewarded for this later.” The beady-eyed boy cupped his fists and ran to the side of the room.

The four boys were all at the third inner ki. While the female was at the fourth inner ki. Raja Kint wondered if he would be able to take them down by himself.

The girl looked at Raja Kint and chuckled. “Under that dirt, you’re quite the handsome one. Although I’m the leader’s girl I’m sure he wouldn’t mind me having a pet.”

Raja Kint replied, “Take me to your leader. I want to talk to him.”

When the four boys heard this they smirked in mockery. The girl said, “You have to pay your respects anyway. Anything else you say may have your life taken away my pet.”

Raja Kint stood up and walked over to the girl. He looked her in her eyes and said, “Lead the way.”

One of the boys stepped out and said, “Watch where you lay your eyes brat.”

Raja Kint threw out a punch. Landing squarely on the boy’s face, sending him flying into the wall across the hall. Blood dripping from his nose and mouth.

Another boy said, “You can’t do as you wish with us here. Let’s teach this newbie what it means when we say a coliseum greeting leaves you seeing red.”

Raja Kint laughed, “If you three think you’re strong enough then try as you want. But realize your main goal is to bring me to your leader. So then what would your leader think when the three of you wanted to start a fight instead of prioritizing his words.”

The three boys paused and hesitation showed on their faces.

“Everyone stop fighting and follow me,” said the girl.

The bloody boy stood up with eyes full of hatred. Raja Kint looked back at him with extremely cold eyes.

The group walked to the end of the corridor and stopped before the final door. This is the only door facing the entire corridor.

The girl knocked and said, “I have the newbie here for you.”

A cold voice rang out, “Come in.”

The girl opened the door and everyone entered. When Raja Kint entered he was surprised to see skulls placed around the room. There was none of the muddy water and rotten flesh scent from elsewhere. This was a scent of iron, of blood. At this moment it was a pleasing scent.

A laugh sounded out, “It seems the scent of blood is pleasing to you as well. We may be kindred souls."

Raja Kint looked at the boy who laughed. This boy is the leader of all the kids at sixteen years old. Slim face, squinty hazel eyes, curved brows and all-red attire. The boy motioned for Raja Kint to come over.

Raja Kint stood before the boy and looked at him.

“I see one of my guys is injured. It would be a correct assumption in that you did it?”

Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.

“Yes.”

“So how should I repay you for hurting my guy? Or maybe, you can replace him and become my guy instead. Considering you hurt him and you look unfazed. It seems there may be more to you than on the surface.”

Raja Kint replies, “If I join you can I meet the leader of this prison.”

The boy looked Raja Kint up and down. “If you become my sword then I might be able to get you in the room with him. How old are you?”

“Nine.”

The boy furrowed his brows and sat in silence. The four boys and the girl all wore expressions of shock. Being nine years old and already at the third inner ki is incredible to them.

The boy continued, “Kill the one you injured from before.”

Raja Kint looked at him for a while before turning his head. He knew this was a test of sorts. But what does it really matter? Being out in the world he already understood that with insufficient strength it’s better to be in a group.

He moved quickly towards the bloody boy. The boy showed a fierce look as he charged toward Raja Kint. Without much of a struggle, he was in Raja Kint’s grasp.

Raja Kint looked into the eyes of the boy.

“Please let me live, please I just want to live.” pleaded the boy.

The Raja Kint before the planetwide attack would let this boy live. But the current Raja Kint has experienced the horrors of war. The troubles and two-sidedness of people. He now had the weight on his shoulders to avenge his bloodline, find his siblings and revive his parents.

Without a single fluctuation, Raja Kint tightened his grasp and a crack sounded out. The boy’s arms fell limp and his head fell backward. His eyes still showed desperation.

The leader laughed as he said, “From this day forth you will be my right-hand man. Your new room will be at the first right door outside my room. Whoever’s in there can be kicked out. If they cause trouble just kill them.”

Raja Kint turned around when the girl suddenly said. “I want to make him my pet. Can I make him my personal pet?”

The leader glanced at her and said, “If you can conquer him then sure. But that’s a very strong if.”

He looked at the door close after Raja Kint left.

“He has talent and is willing to kill at just nine years old. Just don’t get on his bad side. Hah, now I have to find a way to get him an audience with that old man.”

In the corridor, Raja Kint opened the door to his new abode. There was an M on it and he opened the door. Inside are five boys, three at the fourth inner ki and two at the third inner ki.

The five boys looked at Raja Kint and one said, “Go somewhere else kid.” A third inner ki walked over to Raja Kint. Once within range, Raja Kint struck out viciously and used his five fingers to penetrate the boy’s neck.

Retracting his fingers the boy gurgled a bit longer before dropping dead. The other four looked at Raja Kint in rage and rushed him. Behind Raja Kint, the girl appeared and said. “If you don’t leave this room now then I’ll get involved.”

The four boys looked at her and then at Raja Kint. A fourth inner ki snarled, “It seems today we must offend the leader.”

The girl’s face became extremely cold at this moment. “Let’s work together and kill them.”

Raja Kint nodded in agreement. He dashed forward toward the only other third inner ki. Slipping under a punch he used his shoulder to hit the boy’s chin. With the boy slightly hazy Raja Kint grabbed his head and snapped his neck in a clean motion.

He turned his attention toward a fourth inner ki coming at him. Raja Kint ran forward and evaded all the attacks. The boy was becoming frustrated and said, “All you can do is dodge? Like a mouse, you scurry for safety and only fight those weaker.”

Raja Kint chuckled lightly as he began throwing counters. When the third counter connected against the temple. The boy fell to a knee. Raja Kint quickly grabbed his head and snapped his neck.

He then turned his attention toward the girl holding down two fourth inner ki alone. He was slightly impressed, it was likely she didn’t have superior martial arts techniques like him.

The two fourth inner ki upon seeing Raja Kint kill their friends one by one were frightened.

The girl suddenly felt the two boys before her were taking more hits to return hits. They were willing to suffer injuries to escape.

Without realizing it, Raja Kint appeared behind one of the boys, grabbed his head and twisted hard. The boy fell limp leaving only one left.

Raja Kint and the girl killed him in a short period of time. The girl looked at Raja Kint in amazement. “You’re such an incredible fighter. You’re definitely stronger than me and I’m strong enough to escape most fifth inner ki.”

Raja Kint replied, “Just chalk it up to talent.” He began dragging the bodies out of his room into the corridor.”

“I’ll help you dispose of the bodies easily.”

The girl dragged the bodies to the corridor entrance and laid them in a pile. Raja Kint thanked her for her help and went into his room. He used some of the bones to make it so that his door couldn’t just be opened by anyone while he was present.

Raja Kint sat down and threw up the food he had eaten earlier into the toilet. This was his first time killing someone and dissecting them for something he needed. After throwing up he dazedly leaned against the wall and fell asleep.
