The man blankly looked at Raja Kint. “Haha, kid you really got some guts. You have no idea how much this can go for. Sure, you could sell it elsewhere. Of course, leaving with your life is another issue—” the man paused “—or you can sell it to me for a hefty profit. Forty high-grade ki stones isn’t a light sum.”
Raja Kint frowned. The man was absolutely right. Based off the reaction today. If he tried to sell this anywhere he could very well run into trouble.
The man asked, “What family do you belong to?” He raised the pouch. “A sea devourer-resistant pouch, high-grade ki stone.” The man quickly approached Raja Kint. Raja Kint felt something scanning his arm. The man’s eyebrows shot up. “You’re also only ten years old and a late outer ki realm. With some type of special body.”
His fingers combed through his beard. Watching Raja Kint for an answer.
“I’m with the Kint Sect.”
“Is that a lie? Hmm, that name doesn’t sound too familiar.” The man continued combing through his beard. His eyes lit up. “Ah, I remember. A while ago there was a young man with a certain gaze. He should’ve grown up by now. If I remember he proclaimed his name to me.” A smile appeared. “A truly ambitious young man. If I remember that was at the Bisuke Empire. So that means you came from the Bisuke Empire. Julchen City is the only entrance. So, why are you in Julchen City kid.”
“The competition.”
The man mumbled, “Competition… Oh. You’re talking about that competition for youngins like ya. Makes sense. For such a place to birth someone with a special body.” The man furrowed his brows. His eyes trained on Raja Kint. “Everyone has secrets. Anyways, for your future potential I’ll add another forty high-grade ki stones. Also, do you know of the Kunlun Continent? It’s where the strongest in the world are gathered. Someone of your talents would only hit a ceiling in this part of the world.”
“Thanks but I’ve already received an offer from there.”
The man was visibly shaken. “Truly something. Which place made the offer,” the man asked.
Raja Kint smirked. “Does it matter?”
“Heh, no matter. Here’s your money.” The man waved his hand and a bag flew over.
Raja Kint caught the bag and checked to see if everything was there. With glee he put it inside his pouch.
The man watched Raja Kint put everything away preparing to leave. “What’s ya name?”
“Raja Kint.”
“Do come back for anything ya need Raja Kint. I have much better things stored in a different location,” the man said.
Raja Kint looked at the smile and gleaming eyes. This old man just wants my money. Although, it does seem he has some good things. “If I need something I’ll be back.”
“Just use the teleportation array you used to get here.”
Raja Kint was turning around but froze. “Te- teleportation array.”
The man walked past Raja Kint. In a small circle area he stomped on the ground. The ground lit up as the man smirked. “You didn’t think I’d leave ya staring at a brick wall—” the man combed through his beard “—such a sight would be quite funny.”
Raja Kint walked over a bit embarrassed and was sent out. The man turned away mumbling, “In the Bisuke Empire is that old freak. If the kid becomes his student then he’ll have no worse of a path than those on Kunlun.” The man flew through the air. No longer walking.
Raja Kint walked out of the alleyway. The only storage items on his person was the ring from his father and the new pouch. He looked around and decided to venture into the city for a bit.
The next day arrived as Raja Kint is calmly sitting in his room. Knocking sounded at the door and he walked over. Master A motioned for him to follow and the two left. They ventured through Julchen City. Raja Kint took in the sights around him. The place wasn’t ugly, it’s just that the magnificence of his homeworld was utterly gorgeous. In his home alone were natural waters. With fields of grass and patches of flowers that seemed natural. Creating a mesmerizing sight that would occasionally entrance him.
Raja Kint found that they were on the market street. Stopping in front of a vendor Master A began talking with a man. After a few exchanges that Raja Kint paid no attention to. A small platform shone in Master A’s hand. Raja Kint looked in fascination. That palm-sized platform seemed to have arrays inside it.

The vendor packed his stuff up and left. Raja Kint raised his eyebrow.
“It’s just renting out a space on the main street. The price is a bit extravagant. But for my disciples no price is too much.” Master A waved his hand as the platform enlarged and landed. There was plenty of room to fight for outer ki realm. “Step up there.”
Raja Kint stepped up when he noticed Master A placing two large, metal poles by the platform’s side. A banner flew saying: unrivaled beneath the limbo realm. Raja Kint wryly smiled before he was amazed. Master A swiftly set up a betting booth. The front of the booth said: dare to bet?
Raja Kint couldn’t believe his master also had this side to himself. He sat down. “Will anyone even bother coming here?”
“Will anyone bother? Of course they will, this is the perfect time to catch cultivators. The strongest outer ki realms are all gathered in this city for some days. What other chance could be better for us? Also, I heard this exact thing was done hundreds of years ago. That person remained undefeated, eventually going on to win the empire competition. Now we can recreate the legend. Except this time we’ll make more money doing it.”
Raja Kint didn’t know whether to laugh or cry hearing this.
“When the first few come. Make it obvious that you are stronger. One hit if you can. I want them mad enough to create a life-or-death vengeance with you. This is the only way we’ll get more coming. Oh, if you cripple them that might be even better.” Master A’s voice was dripping with eagerness.
“Weren’t we supposed to be careful?”
“Heh, the market is a fair place. The world of cultivation is cruel. But, under rules enforced by those strong enough, people can only tuck their tails and bite their tongues. As long as you don’t actually cripple or kill anyone. We’ll be completely fine.”
Raja Kint decided to calmly meditate.
“I’ll take on such a challenge.”
Raja Kint opened his eyes to see a group of young kids. One of the young boys had spoken out loud: seventh stage outer ki realm.
Master A warmly smiled. “Does anyone wish to bet?”
The group nodded their heads no. The young boy smiled. “I’ll place a bet.”
Suddenly a voice said, “I’ll place a bet on you losing.”
The boy turned to see a young girl that made his heart flutter. Kyoot Kint walked over and placed her bet. Raja Kint was inwardly confused. How much preparation did his master actually do?
The boy stepped onto the stage with a confident smile. “A fellow seventh stage dares to say such crazy things. Well, I can help you fix your stupidity this one time.”
“It seems your friends are smarter than you.” Raja Kint got to his feet with a calm face. He began walking forward.
The boy made a claw with his left hand and ran forward. Ki tiger claws appeared on his hand as he slashed at Raja Kint’s head. Raja Kint watched all this and swiftly dodged to the outside of the attack. Sending forth a punch of his own. When the punch was about to land the boy had a bad feeling. Alas, he was too slow.
“Boom!”
The boy flew backward and slammed into a barrier of ki around the platform. Yet, he was already unconscious from the punch. Those walking by saw this scene as well. Raja Kint walked over. Placing his foot on the boy’s chest.
“Trash like you should’ve never come up here.” He kicked the boy off the platform into his group.
“Hey, you should be more lenient.” A girl from the group had an angry expression.
Raja Kint sneered. “Leniency doesn’t exist in the cultivation world.”
“Hmph, then I’ll fight you next.” The girl began walking forward with an angry expression.
Raja Kint knew that she was the strongest in the group. Being the only one at the eighth stage. She was probably the entire reason the group was together.
A familiar voice sounded in his head. “Make sure she bleeds a bit for impact.”
Raja Kint mentally sighed at Master A’s marketing tactics. Wasn’t he supposed to be an arrayist? The girl stepped onto the stage.
“Swirling Palm!”
She sped toward Raja Kint as her right palm was launched forward. Raja Kint raised his right hand, took a step with his left foot and punched out. As the two were heading toward each other Raja Kint could feel a pulling effect from her palm. As if she didn’t want him to run from her attack. But, why would he?
“Bang!”
The sound of air slicing rang out along with an, “Ah!” The girl was blown backward, slamming into the ki wall. Blood seeped out from her lips as she looked up in fear. The bystanders who were interested in how this skirmish would end were a bit surprised. But in a city like Julchen City with the empire competition so close. There would be monstrous talents abound like mosquitoes in the summer.
“He must be a talent looking to make a name for himself.”
“One punch for a stage higher eh. Remind of my younger days.”
“As if you could do that, you were probably an average talent buried in the crowd.”
A few voices sounded out.
The girl said, “I give up here. But you aren’t unrivaled. We aren’t anything special.”
“Didn’t need you to tell me that.” Raja Kint sat down and closed his eyes. The girl got off the stage and the group walked off in anger. The boy is still unconscious.
