The man rushed Raja Kint, moving much faster than before. Raja Kint ran forward as well and was forced off balance quickly.
Damn, he went and looked down on me, making me think I was just that strong. Now he’s forced me off balance. Raja Kint leaned more into his fall dodging a leg kick. He grabbed the leg and used his body weight to force his opponent off balance while regaining his balance.
With his opponent off balance, Raja Kint used his momentum to deliver a punch into the man’s ribs using his full inner ki realm strength.
“Boom!”
“Blech!”
The man vomited on the spot with his ribs feeling broken. Suddenly Raja Kint positioned his body and used an over-the-shoulder throw, slamming the man into the ground.
“Hmph, that should teach you to never underestimate your opponent.” says Raja Kint with visible anger.
The man got up on his own and took another fighting stance. Raja Kint looked at him and smirked. The two went five more rounds with Raja Kint winning each time.
Raja Kint bounced up and down as the man was heaving on his back. Blood staining his lips. Another man at the outer ki realm sixth stage spoke.
“Commander Michalis may I have a go with the boy.”
Michalis Shizen nodded his head, the two men switched places. Meanwhile, Raja Kint was observing this man the entire time. He wondered how strong he exactly was with purely his cultivation.
The man is strong like a woodsman with long, wild hair. He took a step forward and Raja Kint frowned. There didn’t seem to be any openings.
“It’s obvious that you have a very instinctual type of combat. Backed by true technique and skill. And you have a powerful body classing you in the mid-outer ki for combat ability. What you don’t have is experience.” The man ran forward much faster than the previous opponent.
Raja Kint barely dodged the first attack and immediately tried to grab the extended arm. Grabbing the arm he looked to maneuver and drive the man off balance.
“Scared of contact now are we? That’s fine I can teach you experience in other ways.”
Raja Kint saw a flash before he was in the air. I should use my outer ki realm strength as well now. Before Raja Kint could gather himself he felt a hand grab his ankle and yank him down onto the ground.
“Boom!”
Raja Kint got up with a serious look on his face. The man looked back with the same stoic expression. In a steady tone, he said, “Finally operating ki now, are we? Well, let’s see how strong you are.”
Raja Kint kept his eyes on the man as he darted forward throwing out a punch. Raja Kint dodged underneath while simultaneously throwing out a kick and spinning his body like a top with the leg supporting his body weight. The man retaliated in kind and threw a knee toward his chest. Both attacks landed but the man immediately after the knee, twisted his body and extended his leg out kicking Raja Kint in the face. Raja Kint landed face down on the ground.
This bastard is too strong, almost like he cultivates with heaven and earth. Raja Kint picked himself up and breathed lightly.
“Two to zero,” Said the man.
Raja Kint frowned. How can I win against him? Urgh I think I have no choice now I have to try it out otherwise this situation won’t get any better. Raja Kint placed his palms on the ground while smilingly looking at the man. Everyone present could tell Raja Kint was doing something but wasn’t sure.
The Chieftain looked on and thought to himself. So he really can use earth law already.
Raja Kint could feel the earth law within his body making him indestructible. Because he’s indestructible he’ll also dish out more reckless attacks. He stood up, stretching his body some. I’ve hardly grasped the stars but I’ve comprehended enough to boost my earth law.
“It won’t be the same this time.” Says Raja Kint.
The man looks at Raja Kint with a hint of surprise in his eyes. The boy gives me a scent of danger now. I’m not sure what he did but I won’t hold back.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
The two throw a punch and connect. Neither pushed the other back causing gasps of shock. Suddenly they threw more punches. Everyone was watching a contest of pure strength between a child and an adult separated by four stages. Even if cultivating only the earth ki makes them weaker on average. It doesn’t mean that they would lose to anyone in a lower stage.
After about 10 traded blows Raja Kint realized his earth law was nearly gone from his body. Of course, my earth law is only at the amorphous stage so I can’t keep it up forever. Plus, it’s tiring me out. In the end, I only come out equal to this bastard. Fuck it I’ll attempt that move. Raja Kint hopped backward into the stance for a spear thrust!
The man saw the stance and raised an eyebrow. He also slightly clenched his right hand as ki formed a lion’s paw around his hand.
Raja Kint's eyes drooped as his left forearm sat on his hip. And his right hand became flat. He was moving all the earth law left in his body to his right hand and sending ki over as well.
After a few breaths, both of their attacks were prepared. The man ran toward Raja Kint with ferocity. Raja Kint calmly watched as he came closer with every step. Then he lightly lifted his legs and thrust his right arm forward. Shocking everyone with the speed displayed.
Everyone’s faces changed uncontrollably as Raja Kint’s spear hand and the man’s lion paw connected.
“Boom!”
“Argh!”
Raja Kint was left standing in place as the man clenched his right hand in agony. Raja Kint let out a breath of relief. Falling to one knee as his body was exhausted. Not only was the earth law draining him of his ki. The limbo realm technique also drained him of his ki.
“This is your win boy, you’ve earned my respect.” The man looked at Raja Kint no longer with a disinterested look. But a face of respect for a fellow cultivator.
The rest of the troops looked at Raja Kint with respect as well.
“That was a spear technique and one at the limbo realm to boot. To use your own body as a replacement for the spear is incredible. Although the strength is weakened with your current standing.” The Chieftain could easily see through the final moves displayed.
Raja Kint asked, “So can I join in your war now? Like my opponent just said, I lack experience.”
The Chieftain nodded his head and Michalis Shizen spoke. “You’ll be a part of my unit since you’ve already gained their respect.”
Raja Kint fell on his back and relaxed. Shadows appeared soon to be replaced by the elite troops. Raja Kint was confused as they picked him up.
Raja Kint says, “You try anything funny and I’ll knock you all on your ass.”
One of the men says, “Hehe kid you sure have guts to speak to us like this.”
“Hmph, you made me mad by underestimating me.”
“Being lowkey can be helpful in situations.”
Soon Raja Kint is taken to the medical unit and released at night to return to his house. He sees a paper that was left under his door. So mornings will be for practice with the troops. After that the rest is up to me. Raja Kint smiled, it seems there will be plenty of time to understand this earth limbo realm.
Three days later Raja Kint breaks through to the outer ki realm third stage.
Over the next week he’s read through almost half of the limbo realm research. Astonishing the Chieftain with his comprehension ability. The tribe has also finished the placement of the array and is running tests for maximum strength. After all, Raja Kint is the most knowledgable and even he doesn’t know how much ki will be needed to power the array.
Raja Kint has also become more familiar with the troops' fighting styles. Soon two more days pass, leaving only a week before the Shiren Tribe’s attack.
It’s currently late at night and Raja Kint is with the Chieftain.
Raja Kint says, “A while ago I remember the word ‘backers’ being used. Do you guys out here really have backers from the outside world?”
“There are some tribes that have backers.”
“It’s weird for tribes out here to have backers. No offense but you don’t have much to offer. I can’t help but wonder if there’s something to do with your ancestors.”
“Because they’re heaven-defying cultivators.”
“Yeah.” Suddenly Raja Kint’s eyes widen as he swivels his head to meet the Chieftain looking right back. “How do you know?”
“Remember when I told you about the old lady who sought the prophecy for me.”
Raja Kint nodded his head.
“She’s the one who told me about that. She also told me about a rumor. That our ancestors left something behind for the later generations. We just have to break through to the limbo realm.”
“Such a high goal, they should’ve known that if they lose their bloodline will be punished as well if there isn’t someone stronger than the heavenly tribulation.”
“You mean not everyone suffers this fate. If we had someone stronger than the heavens then we could’ve still been cultivating the path of heaven and earth.” He paused for a moment. “I’ll break through soon enough and if the inheritance truly exists I’ll take it. From what I was told the old woman doesn’t fully understand how to get the inheritance either. Seems even with limbo realm I can only continue to stumble.”
Raja Kint looked at the Chieftain’s eyes twinkling with hope under the torch's illumination.
A deep voice escapes the Chieftain’s lips, “We must win.”
