4: Nature Ki

4: Nature Ki

“I’m on my way old friend. I hope that you won’t disappoint! Hahaha!”

The laugh of the red and black-streaked-haired man reverberated for miles. A grey canoe appeared from out of thin air. He quickly sat inside his canoe.

Next, the space in front of him warped into a wormhole. The canoe moved into the wormhole and disappeared. Leaving the cabin on quiet and peaceful days.

At Kint Dao Planet Raja Kint is turning nine in a few days. Despite the chance at cultivation. He’s shown no excitement over it.

He’s continued to do the same things day by day.

At this moment he has a book open. It has various accounts of the feats geniuses accomplished before their deaths.

This one genius was born with a fire law body. And on his ninth birthday had broken through to the peak of the outer ki realm.

He went on to dominate his generation. Before age thirty he was already in the sea devourer realm. With the power of the peak first step, he beat down an immortal. A feat considered impossible.

Sadly the genius met his demise in the second step. It was rumored that he touched upon legendary insights at the dharma realm. Being capable of battling saint realm cultivators.

While a genius rises they are bound to form enemies. One of the enemies of this genius had a third step appear. Despite what the genius used to prolong the battle. He was eventually sent to a random location with injuries bordering on death. Never to be seen again and assumed to be dead.

Raja Kint could only shake his head. What a genius, not using his family background. Instead wanting to experience the world in all its glory. He was never confirmed dead, and the family themselves never commented on it. Is there a chance that he’s still alive to this day? Although this was so long ago could he have found something in such a situation? If he is alive how strong would he be? This was many eras ago during a time before even the World Patriarch was born.

Raja Kint continued reading through the stories of these geniuses. He always found this specific genius interesting. It makes the most sense that he would die. But then why would his family be so mute on the subject? How has his family continued to hold firm through these eras of turmoil?

In the end, this is just one of the many mysteries that exist.

Raja Kint always wondered. If he could cultivate high enough would he be able to uncover the secrets?

He’s always loved learning. To cultivate he needs a strong enough reason.

Raja Kint believed that a strong reason would put him on the path. Then once he cultivated far enough he probably would be more curious about the outside world than these books.

Time silently passes and Raja Kint's ninth birthday has arrived.

At this moment he was sitting in the courtyard with all of his family staring at him.

The expectation in his father’s eyes added weight to his shoulders. His mother’s loving eyes caused him to eternally be at peace. His older brother’s eyes convey a competitive spirit. And his sister nonchalantly talking to herself not even focused on him.

He began the breathing technique. Taking deep breaths through the nose and out the mouth 30 times. The next thirty breaths are held for a minute each. Allowing his body to be completely relaxed with plenty of strength brought forward. After those breaths, he returns to the first 30 breaths way of breathing. From there the ki will enter his body.

“Fwoo.”

Fushi Kint exhaled his last second set of 30 breaths.

He continued to breathe and the ki began stirring. Ki looks like light blue visible wind as it enters Raja Kint’s body.

After an hour Raja Kint opened his eyes with disappointment.

Irini Kint said, “It’s great that you’ve finally started your cultivation journey.”

“I’m only at the inner ki realm first stage. I only have regular talent,” replied Raja Kint sadly.

Enyo Kint shows a confused expression and tells Raja Kint not to move. Raja Kint feels his father’s big hand rest on his forehead.

Enyo Kint showed shock as he said. “Your ki isn’t normal at all. Why is it green?”

Raja Kint showed an excited expression at the thought that he might have potential.

Enyo Kint removed his hand and pondered while repeating, “Green ki?”

Raja Kint had never read of people having a different type of ki before. So he could only rely on his father’s vast knowledge.

Irini Kint says, “Why not just take him to the World Patriarch? He should have a clue of some sort.”

Enyo Kint nods his head. Next Raja Kint feels himself floating and shooting off with his father.

Raja Kint could hardly breathe under the speed they were moving at. After a moment they were in front of the World Patriarch's palace.

“Rotate your ki and gather yourself. No child of mine will let a bit of fresh air win.”

Raja Kint felt fury well up in his chest! A bit of fresh air? They were moving at a speed so fast that this mind couldn’t comprehend anything!

Once Raja Kint gathered himself he heard the front guard say that the World Patriarch would take them. They quickly reached the two giant doors and walked through them.

After paying respects Enyo Kint spoke. “Patriarch my child has green ki. I wanted to seek your help in understanding what this means.”

The World Patriarch lifted his eyebrows and then looked at Raja Kint. Raja Kint felt as though the patriarch was seeing through him. Knowing his every thought, the slightest quivers of his muscle fibers and tendons, and watching how his blood cells move. It was extremely uncomfortable yet he could only endure it.

The World Patriarch frowned and then sighed.

Raja Kint felt his heart clench as soon as the frown appeared. Then he felt his entire body tighten at the sigh.

“This is the first time I've experienced this in person. Although it’s not the first time I’ve heard of this. What I know is limited but I do know a few things. For one we won’t know what this ki grants you until you reach the limbo realm and experiment with it. Secondly, although everyone believes ki is one color. There is evidence of different color ki. The issue is that these types of cultivators are rarer than even dao bodies.” The World Patriarch began falling deep into thought while taking glances at Raja Kint.

“Boy tell me anything about you that’s a bit different from others.”

Raja Kint took a moment to organize his thoughts.

“Well, World Patriarch I enjoy learning about various topics. I’m not too keen on cultivating. I’ve had various nightmares over the past few years.”

“Wait, you’ve had nightmares? Tell me more about these nightmares.”

“Well, it usually all centers around a great disaster of our clan. I also am taught stars by my mom too.”

The World Patriarch fell silent again. Once again his brows furrowed except this time it was deeper.

He began mumbling, “Nightmare, disaster, mother, star, comprehension.”

Suddenly a light flashed across the World Patriarch's eyes.

“It would seem that you are indeed a very lucky kid. Your ki should have something to do with nature. The final catalyst may have been when you came to me two years ago and gained insights. You believe you comprehended the way of stars. You may have been thinking too narrowly at the time. I believe you’ve comprehended… or more accurately aligned more with the way of nature.”

Raja Kint showed a confused expression. Enyo Kint was pondering over the words but didn’t seem to fully understand.

“Enyo there is no need to wonder over this. It would seem you have been blessed with two lucky stars. This is a mystery at the dao step. Even I only understand a part of this.” The World Patriarch smiled as he continued. “The myriad of secrets across the five planes are many. And some require strength far beyond me. Even with my limited knowledge, I can tell that this green ki is special. How about referring to it as nature ki.” During his final sentence, the World Patriarch looked at Raja Kint.

“Sure, nature ki is a nice name anyhow.”

The World Patriarch laughed out loud. “It seems I’ve found my way to eternity.”

Raja Kint then said, “Will the clan be safe Patriarch? Do I need to cultivate to help?”

Enyo Kint looked at his son with a slightly different look in his eyes at this moment. This was a look of pride, both of his sons were ready to use their talents for the betterment of the clan.

The World Patriarch replied, “You can’t grow fast enough for immediate threats. If one day the clan is split up. You must remember that the clan has taken precautions. We will never be truly wiped out. As long as you climb through the world of cultivation. Then our bloodline will not only reach our peak but reach new heights. Potentially ruling the five planes.”

Raja Kint could feel a fire deep inside of him. This was the first time he realized. That the spark for cultivating for the peak may rely on his bloodline. Fighting for his family and ancestors.

The World Patriarch's left eyebrow twitched. He waved his arm and Raja Kint found himself and his father back outside.

Enyo Kint held puzzlement in his eyes but flew back home with his son.

Within Ayumu Kint chambers a portal appeared. From the other end, a man with red and black streaked hair appeared.

“Sorry about this Daoist Nightfall but I had to come here urgently.”

“Hmph!”

With a snort, the chamber floors began rumbling so devastatingly that civilizations would collapse! A wind so piercing that worlds could be sliced into pieces! Space fractured and the room began turning from day to night!
