Kyoot Kint placed her arms down as another sword appeared. This time a regular-sized sword appeared with many cracks in it.
Raja Kint narrowed his eyes as the sword floated in the air. This must be what she learned in the limbo stage library. But, why is her sword so broken? It looks like just a light breath would shatter it. Maybe it’s similar to my earthly palm.
On the other side, the Head Array Disciple was surrounded by crescent-shaped winds about the same size as the sword. “Let’s see how strong you are!” said the Head Array Disciple excitedly.
The sword moved forward as it began slashing. The crescent winds surged forth in a group of three. As the two connected, the sword easily destroyed the first crescent wind. Dispersing the second crescent wind with ease. By the time the third crescent wind came the sword had lost some gusto. Causing this clash to last a bit longer before the sword finally prevailed.
Kyoot Kint didn’t let up and sent the sword rising before slashing down. The Head Array Disciple didn’t slack off and used multiple crescent winds as a defense. Causing a gale of wind to burst forth when the sword made contact. The sword was flung backward and Kyoot Kint floated her sword back next to her.
The sword floated up and Raja Kint could feel the ki in the area moving toward the sword. Its strength slowly increasing. The Head Array Disciple begins forming his crescent winds into two crescent winds. Each growing more powerful. Raja Kint also noticed that one crescent wind was aimed at the sword. While the other was aimed at Kyoot Kint. And the crescent wind aimed toward the sword was the stronger of the two.
Kyoot Kint looked at the sword above her. Her face stern as she looked at her opponent’s winds.
At this moment the sword began slightly glowing as some of it was repaired. It was clear that she had gathered ki to improve the sword to the peak of what she could do.
When the Head Array Disciple saw this his face dropped. He looked over at Kyoot Kint’s slightly pale face from exerting herself. It was clear she wasn’t going to be holding back. He immediately doubled down on his efforts and focused on gathering ki solely toward the crescent wind aimed at the sword.
The crescent wind enlarged to double its size and the winds became ever fiercer.
“Falling Sword.” Said Kyoot Kint as her sword began falling down. The crescent winds burst forth with speed. Yet, the might of the sword was undeniable as it fell toward the wind.
“Fwoo!”
Wind surged everywhere causing Raja Kint’s hair to lift. The sword was overpowering the crescent wind. Even with its ki lowering it was clear the crescent wind was truly powerful. Despite this, the crescent wind was rapidly pushed back multiple yards before completely dispersing.
The Head Array Disciple coughed up some blood as the sword after losing over half its strength. Surged toward him.
Kyoot Kint couldn’t keep controlling the sword as the other crescent wind was just arriving. She lifted her hands and placed them at her sides. A broken corner of a shield appeared the size of a chest.
She placed the shield in front of her as the crescent wind arrived.
“Fwoom!”
The crescent wind rattled the shield, yet everyone watched as the shield was able to disperse a majority of the wind. Some wind still pierced Kyoot Kint’s skin. Blood soaking her clothes but her eyes were now on the sword.
Although the sword has enough strength to take her opponent down. She wasn’t using the sword technique anymore which would drop its full strength even further. What she was confident in was the fact that this sword was meant solely for attacking. Whereas her opponent's array was more versatile. Hence, she believed that as long as the sword reached him she would win.
The Head Array Disciple looked at the sword descending before him. He had just watched his opponent survive what he thought would be a surefire-winning shot. With a second defensive array. He could only groan inwardly as he used the winds to create a dome around him. Only a foot from his body allows him to make the dome stronger.
When the sword landed on the wind dome. The wind whirred as the sword slowly made its way through. The Head Array Disciple was horrified at how strong the sword was. He felt relief that he would win, as the sword’s momentum considerably slowed.
His heart seized when the sword floated up into the air. Ki rapidly poured into the sword. His eyes darted to his opponent. Kyoot Kint’s hands were in front of her again and two lines of blood marked her pale face. Within her eyes he saw determination. He knew that sitting here under a dome would only help her. After all, his technique wasn’t as offensive as hers.
Everyone watched as the wind dome began forming a single crescent wind. This wind was as long as a body as its winds fiercely whirred. The Head Array Disciple’s face was more serious than it had ever been. Shocking the students who were watching from the side.

The elders were inwardly joyous. Being the top disciple of an academy often meant you had no one to polish you. Yet, today their top student finally had an opponent and for the first time in a long time. Showed the fierceness that brought him to the top spot.
Everyone watched as the crescent wind became smaller and more fierce.
An elder said, “He’s advancing amidst the battle.”
Many present were shocked as they looked at Kyoot Kint and the ever-growing sword. She was a stage lower than him. And yet she was pushing him further than any of them ever could.
“Falling Sword!” yelled Kyoot Kint.
The sword descended once again and without missing a beat. The crescent wind went forth as the two clashed again.
“Fwoo!”
The wind was even stronger than before and everyone watched as the sword rapidly dimmed. Nobody dared to blink as this moment would define the battle.
Raja Kint watched the clash as he wasn’t sure who would win. Although the sword held the upper hand. It wasn’t as overpowering as before. Then, when the sword seemed on the verge of going out. The wind finally dispersed and the last bit of strength the sword had continued toward the boy.
The Head Array Disciple quickly sent out the crescent wind. The sword neared, each crescent wind making it dimmer. Soon, there wasn’t enough space to send out more crescent wind and the disciple crossed his arms as the sword slashed him. A line of blood traveled down his midsection after the sword.
After slashing, the sword dissipated and Kyoot Kint fell to her knees. The Head Array Disciple was elated. Although the sword cut him a bit it was only a surface wound at best and was nothing to worry about. He lightly laughed as the elders announced him the winner.
The Head Array Disciple was waved over to the elders as they helped him heal. Raja Kint quickly went onto the stage to help his senior sister as she was too exhausted to walk. After taking a few steps with her he heard a familiar voice.
“Bring her to me.” spoke the woman who had helped them since they arrived.
Raja Kint brought Kyoot Kint over and the woman began healing her. Raja Kint turned around to see his opponent ready for battle. Raja Kint walked over as the boy said.
“I’m going to use a limbo-stage array as well.”
“Same.”
The boy narrowed his eyes as he began working on his array. It didn’t take long for the two to finish as they sat down. A saber appeared above the boy. Except it was very transparent almost as if it was about to diminish. Even though it looked like that Raja Kint knew this was a limbo stage technique. Could there be different paths to using ki? I always assumed there was one main way. Of course, on our planet we didn’t focus on ki much since anyone with talent would quickly move through these stages. Raja Kint fell silent before lightly smiling. It’s probably my fault. There’s no way our home planet is overlooking any part of cultivation.
The Great Earthly Palm appeared as the regular blue ki. If need be, he wasn’t afraid to use his nature ki to boost his hand. He would only draw the line at law usage.
The hand was still missing a finger but Raja Kint didn’t mind. He knew how strong this hand could be.
“Whoosh.”
The saber shot forward piercing the hand. The boy was shocked that he only pierced a minuscule amount deep into a hand small enough to fit inside a palm. His eyes narrowed as he began directing his saber to attack Raja Kint directly.
Raja Kint inwardly chuckled, how could anyone below the limbo realm hurt him? He still used his hand to block a few blows before finally grabbing the saber. He stopped the movement of the saber and flung it toward his enemy. At this moment his fist shot forward. As the fist approached, the boy felt dread from such a small fist missing a finger. He didn’t dare dally as the saber attacked the fist in kind.
“Boom!”
The saber and fist were both knocked back. Many noticed the saber and fist became dimmer. With no wait time the two clashed many more times. Finally, after the sixth clash, the fist came out on top and Raja Kint heavily applied the pressure. Every clash afterward was the fist winning. The boy couldn’t believe his eyes as the fist charged forth. Finally, he used his saber to block.
Raja Kint smiled at seeing the block. He had his hand become a flat palm and charge forth. This time the saber went to attack with a thrust.
“Boom!”
The saber shattered into pieces that dissipated back into ki. Raja Kint’s palm shot forth as another saber was quickly created. But how could a hastily created saber hold up?
“Boom!”
The saber met the same fate as the other. Raja Kint’s palm struck his opponent causing him to hack up saliva and vomit. The boy looked at Raja Kint’s palm above him as he said.
“I forfeit.”
Kyoot Kint inwardly sighed. With such strong ki control, he doesn’t need to use his full strength to take down others at higher stages.
One of the elders said, “Isn’t that supposed to be the Great Earthly Palm? How is he so close to completion at the sixth stage? He should at most have a full palm. Maybe one or two fingers but he’s about to reach the first completion in the technique.”
The woman smiled, “He’s a young genius, I’ve heard that the higher powers have their eye on him.”
Raja Kint was confused as he had never heard about eyes being on him. Whether or not she was telling the truth. He couldn’t care less. The elder also became quiet upon hearing the news. He wouldn’t do anything in the event of the information being true. As that could potentially bring forth a doomsday to his sect. Becoming the single sinner of his bloodline.
“How about giving a few hours before the final match starts?” says another elder.
Raja Kint and the Head Array Disciple agree. Raja Kint decides to sit down and calmly cultivate.
