Raja Kint faced his father with a serious expression.
Enyo Kint, pleased by his son’s behavior, began speaking again, “The manifest stage is a very open stage. Every cultivator you meet will be in the manifest stage. Exceptions being they’re still within the first step or just started grasping a higher realm or stage of law.
“Within the wide stage of manifestation lies four small stages: King, Emperor, Ruler, Godly. There aren’t concrete ways to understand these stages. There are abstract ways to understand. It’s like you are the king of your law. Or the emperor of your law. It’s a feeling toward your law and that feeling extends toward other laws as you’ll inherently feel where laws stand against each other.”
Raja Kint wryly smiled, “Father, that’s such a weird way to put it. How am I supposed to take that step?”
“You’ll figure it out. There’s one last thing I should tell you. Your star essence. Essence is the next step above laws. Essence doesn’t have classifications. But the chasm between essences is unimaginably wide to the point where cultivators gave up on trying to classify essences into stages and beyond essence is the dao. The peak of our world,” Enyo Kint fell silent with a ruminating expression.
Raja Kint patiently waited for his father’s next words. For there to be so much to laws is insane and I’m sure Father left out some things too. Enyo Kint’s face eased up to his calm look. His eyes back on Raja Kint.
“Your star essence shouldn’t be rushed. The dao can’t be rushed. Also, don’t speak about what I told you today to anyone you meet. In this world or any world. You never know how far someone’s knowledge only extends,” Enyo Kint said with a stern expression.
Raja Kint nodded his head. He stood up, saying, “Thank you,” before taking his leave. Right now he wanted more than anything to break through into the seventh stage.
He sat down in the main room and closed his eyes. After a few days Raja Kint calmly opened his eyes. Being in the cabin is truly the best for cultivation speed. Raja Kint looked down at the blood still on his clothes. He took out some food rations he bought from the Kint Academy. Still need to wash my clothes. Can’t go waltzing around with blood on me into an academy.
Raja Kint walked outside and listened closely to his surroundings. He was using this moment to practice using his ki to enhance his senses. After a few moments, he heard water in the distance and headed over.
Inside the cabin Enyo Kint watched his son walk off. Seems the boy is doing well for now. Although I’m curious about an inheritance left behind by a failed heaven-defier. I always knew this world was strange but I couldn’t figure it out before. With my son now getting involved I want to at least understand this inheritance.
Enyo Kint’s soul stood up and looked in a certain direction. His vision stretched farther than a man could walk in a week. Soon he noticed a forest with an inproportionate amount of earth ki.
No wonder he understood the earth law in such an environment with his comprehension. Won’t hurt to take a little walk. Enyo Kint stood up. With only a fraction of his soul remaining he only stood about a foot tall. Yet, even while being severely weakened he feared nobody in this world.
He reached out with his two hands and grasped onto the air. He began pulling his hands from each other and a spacial tear opened. It showed the part of the forest he had seen before. He took a step that traversed many miles in less than a breath.
Exiting the portal he found himself outside of the forest he was just looking at as he turned around, grabbed the edges of the spacial tear and brought them together. The tear seemingly never existed. He turned back toward the forest peering through until he found the pouch taken from the skeleton.
He ripped open another tear. Taking a step through and appearing in the room the pouch was in. He didn’t care for his surroundings as he looked into the pouch without having to touch it. Hmm, this space isn’t within this world. It’s inside a different layer of space. But nobody in this world should be capable of such a thing. Then again this is a man who walked the path of heaven defier despite failing. Enyo Kint’s brows furrowed as he sensed the space the inheritance was in.

He reached out before him and ripped open another spacial tear, this time leading to a land bursting with denser ki than this world. He stepped through into these foreign lands, closing the tear after. This doesn’t seem much different than the current world. What the fuck is going on here? Enyo Kint’s eyes shifted around for a moment before landing in a certain direction.
He spotted a tombstone that had eroded through time. The name of the deceased unknown. He also didn’t care for names. His eyes shifted slightly lower as they narrowed. So this is the inheritance, huh? Well, there are some good things for him here although this inheritance seems to have an unwanted guest. A good challenge for him. His vision returned to his immediate surroundings. Looking around a bit longer before ripping open a spacial tear and arriving inside the cabin with a single step. He went into the lotus position. Eyes closed.
The time it took Enyo Kint to stretch his legs was only a few minutes. Currently, Raja Kint was washing his clothes in water while wearing a new set. A new issue had arisen. He only had one coat and now he couldn’t stop chattering his teeth. From what he knew only limbo realm cultivators could begin to disregard weather only somewhat.
Raja Kint didn’t spend too long as he only wanted to get the blood out. With that done he carried his clothes back to the cabin. Once back, he laid his clothes out on the floor. “Jeez, how long will this take to dry? I don’t even have two months.”
A voice echoed, “Shut up.”
Raja Kint pursed his lips and folded his arms in anger. There were many people he could be calm toward but a man like his father wasn’t one of them. Even though they usually butted heads. He was the only family Raja Kint had now. Plus, the disagreement mainly centered around his unwillingness to cultivate which no longer was an issue.
“Fwoo.”
The cold outdoor wind blew through the room as his wet clothes lifted, Raja Kint’s eyes narrowed. His clothes became dry in a second. The winds died down. His clothes falling. Raja Kint quickly caught his clothes, storing them. While placing the fur bear on him. He walked into his father’s room.
Enyo Kint opened his eyes neither too fast nor too slow.
Raja Kint began speaking while standing, “I’ll be heading out now.”
“Careful of your heaven-defiant inheritance.”
Raja Kint raised his eyebrows. His father had never warned him of anything before. So what could that sentence mean? Suddenly he remembered the reincarnated immortal. His eyelids drooped as the smile crept up. It has to be a warning against him. I’ll give him death for trying something.
“Thanks, Father.” Said Raja Kint as he began closing the door back.
Midway through closing the door his father said. “That scroll is in case you can’t make it here. It’s for soul creation.”
Raja Kint nodded his head as the door closed. He went to the front door when his father chanted.
“I am a devil. I am a saint. I am me.” The chant seemed to pull one inward.
Raja Kint stood dazed as a chill went through his body. After a few minutes, he broke free from the daze with a slightly opened mouth and knitted eyebrows. Did or didn’t I learn something? He shook his head as he left.
Enyo Kint calmly watched everything. A smile crept up on his face, “At least your heart will be clear for now.” He watched Raja Kint walking into the distance. Slowly closing his eyes.
Raja Kint walked forward, the crunching of snow sounding out. As he continued to travel for a few days. He took a slight detour when he traveled with his sister as he wanted to visit a particular mountain. Soon the mountain came into view. Despite being a few days away the mountain looked down on the land for tens of miles.
Raja Kint spent these days hunting a few beasts for food. Quickly approaching the mountains.
Reaching the base of the mountain. Raja Kint began his ascent up this behemoth of a mountain.
“Finally!” Raja Kint stood atop the mountain. The sun was high in the sky shining its burning rays onto him, the winds blowing against him like a leaf blower while the temperature was colder with more snow. Raja Kint didn’t mind as he cleared out the snow for an area to rest. Lying on his back and enjoying the vigor of the elements.
