A few days go by and Raja Kint is returning from a late-night meal. When he rounds the corner to the kid's corridor. He sees Leader Odigo with a few boys around him and the girl who calls him her pet.
Raja Kint never was mad at her for it. He thought it was an interesting relationship.
When Leader Odigo saw Raja Kint he called out. “Yo Kint come over here. We have a plan that needs you.”
The girl turned around and Raja Kint could see her demeanor was slightly off from her usual self. He showed no expression as he walked over. Living in this hellish environment has tempered Raja Kint’s mind far faster than his father would’ve expected.
If he was to watch the war over again he wouldn’t have been so mentally exhausted. But would’ve understood that this is how the world works. At this moment he fully understood what his mother meant. During the night when he asked her questions. And she responded with, “If only the world was that kind.”
Raja Kint approached the group and asked, “What’s the plan?”
Leader Odigo said, “I became a disciple to the greatest killer under here. Now I’m gathering forces to bring with me to my rise.”
“Rise?”
“Yes, we’ll be under the protection of an eighth inner ki. And one that nobody wants to offend. Not only that but as a direct disciple with talent. He’ll nurture me to become stronger and eventually his right-hand man. We can control this entire place. And I think you’re a necessary piece.”
Raja Kint looked into the eyes of everyone present. The only eyes that seemed full of uncertainty were the eyes of the girl. The boys didn’t seem 100% down but opportunities like this didn’t come often. If this plan went through as expected then they were bound to gain some rewards. Including being able to throw their weight around.
What they didn’t know was that if Raja Kint hadn’t appeared then this plan would’ve likely worked with Senior Icurio being such a passive man. And the other leaders not having clear heads. But now the Senior has vigor and the leaders are focused on the same goal. Raja Kint would never allow something like this to work.
Raja Kint replies, “I won’t be a part of such a stupid plan.”
Leader Odigo's face twitched as he looked Raja Kint in the eyes. “Well, I thought this might happen. Not like I want to force anyone to come with me either. I’ll leave the offer open to you, the future is uncertain.”
Raja Kint walked into his room and locked the door behind him. He wasn’t sure why but he felt uneasy. He decided to get some sleep tonight.
Later that night Leader Odigo was speaking to a man in red clothing. “The kid said the plan is stupid but I’ll convince him. He has a lot of potential and I think it’s worth trying to bring him around. If he doesn’t join then I’ll just take some guys over to teach him an eternal lesson.”
A gloomy voice rang out, “You should kill him sooner than later. That kid is important in a way that I don’t yet understand.”
“If he doesn’t come around by the end of the week then I’ll get rid of him.”
The man nodded his head and Leader Odigo left.
The days continued to cycle through and the end of the week approached.
Raja Kint is currently returning from a coliseum fight with eight others. Once the gate closes everyone either goes to their abode or to eat. Raja Kint decides to go to his abode. As he’s walking over he has an ominous feeling. When he reaches the kid's corridor he rounds it to see Leader Odigo leaning against Raja Kint’s door by himself.
Leader Odigo looks up at Raja Kint and says. “Have you thought about the plan some more? Will you join me on the rise?”
Raja Kint walked down the hall as he spoke. “I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. I won’t join you on your supposed rise. I don’t want to work under someone who delights in killing.”
Leader Odigo sighed, “It’s not like you’re doing the killing ya know. It seems you’ve made this difficult on yourself.” He shook his head lightly as Raja Kint was finally before him.
Raja Kint spoke, “Move, I’m tired.”
Leader Odigo got off the door. When Raja Kint went to open the door he saw a quick movement in the corner of his eye. After having just fought two beasts Raja Kint’s reflexes were slower than usual.

“BAM!”
Raja Kint’s head was smashed into the door by Leader Odigo’s fist. Raja Kint rolled away immediately only for a door behind him to open. He stopped his roll to see a sixth inner ki man appear!
Raja Kint’s pupils slightly dilated at this sight. It was a universal rule that adults weren’t allowed into the kid’s corridor. The appearance of this man meant one thing. This is an assassination attempt!
Suddenly three more doors swung open further up the corridor. With three more men at the sixth inner ki appearing!
Leader Odigo calmly said, “I gave you multiple chances and yet you didn’t take them. I really liked you too, willing to do what’s necessary to win coupled with good talent and a sharp mind. We could’ve gotten out from this dump and caused some real ruckus up in the real world.”
Raja Kint burst forth with killing intent at this moment. “Everyone a part of this assassination attempt will dye the corridor with their blood tonight.”
Leader Odigo laughed, “This is the Kint I love. What you don’t realize is that you aren’t the only one capable of facing higher stages among the kids.”
Raja Kint looked at Leader Odigo in shock at this revelation. Nonetheless, he charged the man right behind him. With only a one-stage difference the man was too easy to handle. Except the man backed up toward his companions.
Leader Odigo said, “I told them not to face you alone but together at all times. Maybe if you were facing someone else you would have a chance. But against me, you have no hope.”
Raja Kint spouted, “This leaves you by yourself.”
Leader Odigo opened his arms in invitation. Raja Kint ran forth and the two exchanged numerous blows. Leader Odigo was astounded at Raja Kint’s strength. He had recently broken through to the sixth inner ki. Giving him the ability to face a seventh inner ki. But Raja Kint was fighting him not at a combat ability of one stage higher. But a combat ability of at least two stages higher was being shown. With the way Raja Kint was holding the upper hand. He could argue that this was two and a half stages higher.
The four men were shocked as they watched the battle. None of them would last long in such a one-on-one battle. This was like watching the elites of the underground coliseum go at it.
“BAM, BAM, BAM!”
Raja Kint found an opening taking Leader Odigo’s defense apart. With this opening, Raja Kint smashed his face into the wall and continued punching away.
At this moment the four men moved together. Raja Kint glanced over and thought. Odigo wasn’t half bad for someone down here. He definitely has talent. These four are out of their league. Plus, I can feel that my breakthrough could happen any moment right now.
Raja Kint turned to the four men and rushed them. In the corridor, only two men could comfortably fight side by side. For Raja Kint, he didn’t have to worry about hitting any partners. And an amazing battle took place.
All the doors in the corridor were open and the kids were peeking to watch this battle. At first, they were expecting a quick kill. Then suddenly Leader Odigo showed his prowess only to be beaten by Raja Kint. and now Raja Kint has already knocked out two of the four sixth inner ki.
Leader Odigo was wailing in his heart at this luck. He thought he had a chance at victory but instead, two men were already out cold and he had been bested.
Raja Kint hit the neck acupoint of a man and he fell asleep. The last man said, “How are you able to use the acupoints? We’re cultivators, we should be immune to those types of attacks.”
Raja Kint said, “Maybe for weak cultivators who have no control over their ki.”
The man’s eyes widened as he said, “You’re a monster! You shouldn’t be able to control ki until the outer ki realm.” The man went forth to fight knowing he couldn’t run. In just a few exchanges he was killed.
Raja Kint made sure to kill the other three as he looked at Leader Odigo. “Why did you try to kill me tonight.” Raja Kint’s voice at this moment sent shivers down the backs of all the kids. Even Leader Odigo felt a slight shiver.
“You know I’m under that bloodthirsty killer. He’s the one who said to have you dead by the end of the week,” spat out Leader Odigo.
“You’ve bested me tonight and so my head will be yours. All I can say is that I underestimated the full extent of your abilities.”
Raja Kint kind of admired Leader Odigo at this point. He had to admit that with a mind like this. He definitely would’ve made it out of this hellhole eventually. Not only that but he was one of three people down here who could fight above their stage.
Raja Kint walked over and said, “Just like you offered me, I’ll offer you a chance. Join me to take down that bloodthirsty leader.”
“You know he has men plenty strong with him. What chance would the two of us have?”
“You must realize there’s a reason he wants me dead. The same reason why Senior Icurio values me greatly.”
Leader Odigo’s face changed at this moment. “Won’t you just kill me later? Or why not even kill me now?”
“I don’t want to kill you now because I kinda admire your abilities. After we leave from down here if I see you again then I might just kill you. It’ll depend on how I feel.”
“Hah, it seems I must concede defeat. So how do you plan on breaking us out of here?”
“Don’t worry when the time comes you’ll know. In the meantime, I’ll leave this hall and you throw the leader’s scent off me. I’ll be coming for him next.”
Leader Odigo nodded his head and walked into his room. Raja Kint went to Senior Icurio's room to cultivate.
