35: Shizen Tribe War (2)

“You don’t seem worried about your troop. They’re quite outnumbered and she’s still back there.”

“I’m sure she’ll see why my troop is so strong.”

“Reputed as the best troop within the forest.”

“Even better than when we first got that name. Plus, we now have an interesting variable.”

The man raised his eyebrows in question as he pulled out two double-bladed battle axes.

Back with the troops, Raja Kint was staring down the men before him when one of them chuckled.

“Why bring such a young kid into your troop? Is he not a weak point?” said a fifth outer ki cultivator.

In response, none of the troops acknowledged that he said anything. Except for Raja Kint as his cold eyes glanced at the man. Giving him a sense of dread. Seven of the men went forward to the formation. Raja Kint looked at the man walking toward him and frowned. Do they think that a fourth stage is enough for me? Hmph, I’ll show them.

Raja Kint waited and soon the man pulled out a sword as he vertically slashed at Raja Kint. Raja Kint parried the slash and thrust his spear into the man’s rib. With the spear still impaled, Raja Kint lifted the man into the air and slammed him into the ground. Raja Kint’s eyes narrowed as a man and woman both at the fifth outer ki arrived. The woman with a slender body pulled out a body-length double-handed axe causing Raja Kint to gawk for a moment. She swiped down at Raja Kint and he hurriedly swept his spear to collide with her.

At the same moment, the man stabbed forth with a longsword. Raja Kint sneered as Bane Shizen swung his hammer at the man. Forcing the man to quickly back away. The woman felt dread as she flew backward into a tree.

“Weaklings only know how to group up.”

Raja Kint laughed in agreeance with Bane Shizen. He looked around to see three opponents had died and two more were heavily injured including the man who had his ribs pierced by Raja Kint. The opponents wore horrid faces as a sixth outer ki spoke.

“We had heard that the Shizen tribe was potentially in a golden age due to your Chieftain. It seems such rumors were fully founded.” The man looked at the rest of his troops and looked toward the forest as he sighed. “Is this truly what the ancestors wanted? Are we all not of the same blood.”

“They were beings who dared to do whatever they wished. Causing their bloodline to be cursed for many generations. Who’s to say this isn’t exactly what they wanted? Ambitious men are capable of such actions,” responded Vasil Shizen.

Both sides took a momentary break from battle as the outcome was clear. Raja Kint’s group had no injuries and worked as a well-oiled machine. Whereas the opponents from their initial 11. Three were dead and two were critically injured. Leaving only six able bodies.

“Why are you talking so much? Just kill them all.” Spoke the woman sitting beside the tree.

“Commander we don’t have the capability to win this anymore. We would just be fighting to our deaths. Plus, from what I can see this war isn’t even needed.” After those final words, his troops looked at him in agreement. But when they glanced at the woman they showed fear.

“If that’s how you feel then you can just die.” The woman opened her eyes and got up. The man was on guard as he roared.

“You all are too crazed for a chance at the ancestor's inheritance. You’re ready to sacrifice us in order to take down the Shizen Tribe. Did you really think we wouldn’t have words to speak?”

“Musings of a weakling, it’s always boring.” She took out a whip and cracked the air with it. Causing chills to travel one’s spine. She swung her whip toward the man who spoke out. He quickly moved to dodge the whip only to find the woman quickly repositioning herself. The man was horrid as she quickly got close and lashed out. Right before the whip was about to hit the woman’s pupils dilated as she swayed backward. A brown spear passed by her face. Her eyes followed the shaft of the spear to a young boy.

Vasil Shizen and Bane Shizen were only a few steps behind. Seeing this the woman frowned as she raised her left hand and sent her palm toward Raja Kint.

Stolen novel; please report.

Raja Kint frowned as the palm came forward. He jumped backward only to feel something wrap around his legs. Immediately he was flung into the air and thrown into a tree. He shook his head and looked at her battling with the three sixth stage outer ki cultivators. He thought about what the man said earlier. Some people don’t even want this war. But it seems when the strong move the weak must follow. But why attack the Shizen Tribe now? They weren’t showing as a threat. It seems these waters run deeper than I initially thought.

Raja Kint picked up his spear and looked over at the four battling. From here he could tell that she wouldn’t win.

The woman furrowed her brows, “It seems I was right in bringing you along.” She whistled a quick tune and then everyone felt another presence approaching.

Raja Kint looked in that direction to find a brown lion comparable to the eighth outer ki realm. The lion roared as it charged toward the three. Causing their faces to drastically change. Raja Kint ran over quickly and mid-run threw his spear causing the lion to halt its advance.

The lion looked toward Raja Kint and snarled as it ran toward him. In his mind, Raja Kint started groaning. This lion wasn’t affected by the curse and therefore was a bonafide late-stage beast. How did she even tame such a beast?

Raja Kint ran forward at full speed toward the lion. The lion pounced, swinging its paw while Raja Kint used a 100% ki-concentrated punch infused with earth law. The two collided and Raja Kint was blown back through two trees before lying down. The lion widened its eyes in amazement as it was flung backward but landed steadily.

Raja Kint groaned from being sent back but felt no pain. He got up to see the lion staring at him.

“Stop wasting time with that kid and come help me!” The woman understood that Raja Kint definitely wasn’t normal and therefore decided to deal with the three before her with her lion. It wasn’t so much two people pressuring her as it was Vasil Shizen who annoyed her. His combat abilities truly belied his cultivation stage. And with the other two as support, she was stuck in a deadlock.

The lion roared as it charged over. Raja Kint leaned against the tree for a moment before charging over with excitement. This tenth-stage inner ki realm body paired with earth law is truly marvelous. Anyone else in my shoes with a normal peak inner ki realm body would be far worse off.

Once the lion joined the scales tipped and the woman and beast duo were immediately dominant. Raja Kint grabbed his spear and ran forth. He thrust toward the woman and she slipped it while chuckling. This time Raja Kint spun his spear to block the whip. The woman smiled as she thrust her palm forward. Raja Kint blocked with his spear and was sent flying into a tree.

At this moment he didn’t know what they could do. Everyone else was useless in a battle of this degree and he was at best a punching bag. Vasil Shizen saw the woman walking toward Raja Kint and went to intercept her. Leaving the other two with the lion.

Seeing this, Michalis Shizen troops began to encircle the lion hoping to keep it separate from its master. When the enemy troops saw this they clenched their teeth and also surrounded the lion. None of them truly wanted this war. They all knew that the Shinrin Tribe’s Chief loved power and was crazed about wanting the ancestors’ inheritance.

“Hey, kid. How up are you for killing a late stage as an early stage?" asked Vasil Shizen with a smile. Raja Kint looked at him and sighed.

“How could you ask a genius such a question? It’s only natural for this to happen.”

Vasil Shizen’s eyelid twitched as he stood next to Raja Kint. “I know you were holding back so I need you to unleash your true strength. When an opening occurs don’t miss it.”

“You two believe you can take me. Though I will admit the boy is truly extraordinary. Taking hits from my pet and me and still standing.”

Raja Kint grabbed his spear as he stretched his body. At this moment his blood truly began to boil and he could feel his body screaming to fight. The two dashed forward and Vasil Shizen took the lead as he slashed. Raja Kint thrust forward and the woman narrowed her eyes. This brat’s technique just went up a notch.

She used her whip to stop the sword and faced the spear with her palm. Vasil Shizen quickly closed the gap as he swung his leg to force her off balance. The moment she was off balance was when the spear and palm collided. Forcing her back, blood emerging from her palm. She had no time to focus as Raja Kint was already thrusting again and Vasil Shizen slashed. This time she used her whip on the spear and her palm on the sword. What shocked her was that Vasil Shizen was also hiding his true strength. At the moment of contact, Vasil Shizen took a solid step as he roared.

“Four mortal slashes: first slash.”

His blade came down fast giving no time to breathe as Raja Kint also followed with an attack. “Second slash!” The blade slashed up in a continuous motion and the woman gritted her teeth. This time she punched forward as she used the whip on Raja Kint. When the two made contact more blood dripped from her palm.

“Third slash!” Vasil Shizen pulled the blade inward and spun for a left-to-right diagonal slash. Seeing this slash made the woman’s heart tremble. Each slash is using the momentum from the previous slash to amplify the following slash’s strength and speed. As this slash came forth the woman no longer bothered with Raja Kint as she was worried this slash might cause serious damage.

At this moment Raja Kint’s eyes sharpened as his posture quickly changed.
