The three are currently sitting around a campfire late at night roasting meat. Raja Kint furrows his brows as he contemplates an idea.
It may truly work for me. With the degree of control over ki I have, I might shatter the ceiling of the inner ki realm. In turn, this might provide me a chance to shatter the outer ki realm ceiling. But this might not be enough to be on par with a limbo realm. I would be invincible beneath the limbo realm for sure.
After all the events that took place the three cooked the bear they killed. While preparing the bear Raja Kint noticed how its muscles and bones were nourished by ki while still in the ki realm. But for humans while up to the outer ki realm, the ki doesn’t nourish the body. The inner ki realm treats your body as a vessel to store more ki. Meaning, that as you rise through the stages you hold more ki in your body. In the outer ki realm with a body of ki, you begin to strongly feel ki outside yourself. Allowing manipulation of ki.
Hence why everyone is astonished by Raja Kint’s control of ki. As it’s nearly unheard of for a cultivator to have such precise control over their ki underneath the limbo realm. Even with arrayists under the limbo realm. They can’t control ki well enough to defend against limbo realms.
With these thoughts in mind, Raja Kint is considering using the ki within his body to nourish his skin, muscles, bones and organs. Usually, these are naturally nourished during the breakthrough into the limbo realm. With this done beforehand Raja Kint’s body would be far stronger than peers underneath the limbo realm.
He looks over at Wu Ying and sighs lightly. This experience with Yi Kint also enlightened him. Not everyone is cut out for the path of cultivation.
Soon the food finished, the three ate and Raja Kint stayed up to attempt his theory.
He begins by focusing his ki into his left leg. Once the ki is concentrated there he tries multiple ways to nourish his muscles but to no avail. He looks around and then again at the leftover meat. Placing his palm on the meat he feels how the ki interacts. This ends up leading nowhere. Looking around he walks to trees and plants but still doesn’t understand. Suddenly he remembers the materials from Teacher Array. He brings out a leaf full of ki, placing the leaf in his right palm and closing his eyes. Right away he feels the ki in the leaf. What surprises him is that it’s almost like the ki is the leaf itself.
He puts the leaf away and goes back to the meat, trees and plants. With a pondering look, he moves a small amount of ki to his left leg. And this time he watches as the ki gently seeps into his muscles nourishing them. With this revelation he becomes shocked, a smile covering his face.
It was something so simple as this. My entire way of thinking about ki was wrong. It’s not separate from us humans. It’s actually the same as us. Some people must not be able to cultivate because their bodies aren’t too good at receiving ki. It’s like putting a leaf and a rock underwater. The leaf is nourished while the rock is simply wet. If this comes down to constitution then why can we not cultivate until nine? If we’re capable of cultivation then shouldn’t we come into the world immediately ready for cultivation?
Raja Kint pushes those thoughts to the back of his mind. With his new revelation, he begins to nourish his legs. After a short time, sweat is running down his back and forehead.
Although he’s figured out how to reach his inner ki tenth stage. He’s also realized how much ki he needs to accomplish this.
For now, he puts aside the thoughts of cultivating this and continues his watch.
The morning comes and Wu Ying wakes both the boys. Quickly, they return to the sect. Giving their report of the mission and breaking off.
Raja Kint receives his Academy points from the mission and goes to the library. There he begins doing more research into the outer ki realm and beasts. After three days of studying he concludes that for the inner ki realm. He’s found the right path to take. And for the outer ki realm, he’s completely stumped on what to do. For now, he knows that more than anything he needs to focus on the outer ki realm and the inner ki realm tenth stage.
During these two weeks, the pale man contacted someone through a talisman.
A man with black hair down to his waist, eyes showing the mercilessness within him. Coupled with an extremely handsome face and a devilish charm is currently operating on three bodies before him. Suddenly he senses a talisman and pulls it out.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
The pale man on the other side of the talisman says. “Faction Leader I've planted another array on a promising talent. I’m sure you’ll like him a lot once you see him.”
The Faction Leader responds in a bone-chilling voice. “ Where?”
“He’s under the Bisuke Empire in the Kint Sect. I’m sure with his talent he won’t be in the sect for long. There’s another talent I’ve heard of but a sky devourer has taken him under their wing.”
“Where?”
“The Julchen Region, supposedly the boy has inherited from his ancestors. There are rumors that he’ll one day transcend this world.”
“Hmph, if only it was so easy to transcend. Instead, those bastards don’t want anyone leaving unless it's with them. If he’s truly such a talent then it’ll only be a matter of time before they make a move.” After a short pause, “Have you broken through yet?”
“Not yet, but I can tell I’m close.”
“Contact me once you’ve broken through.” The Faction Leader shuts off the talisman and puts it away. “The Bisuke Empire is quite the distance. It seems I’ll have to take a trip soon.”
On the fifteenth day of being back, Raja Kint has provided nourishment to all his skeletal muscles and will begin trying with his smooth muscles.
First, he decides to do another mission for more points. Over the past two weeks, he’s done five missions excluding the first one.
Arriving at the Wall of Missions he pulled a late-outer ki realm mission. He has to go to a forest a few days away. Constituting for longer travel than most missions.
Later that night he decided to leave after successfully nourishing his first smooth muscle.
Walking out of the academy and then the sect, he begins traveling. With his skeletal muscles nourished Raja Kint can sustain faster speeds for longer periods. He’s also noticed that even with concentrating his ki into his muscles. He can still store his ki like a vessel.
After traveling for a few days Raja Kint arrives at the periphery of the forest. The talisman told him that within the forest is another subset of people and beasts so he must be cautious.
Raja Kint pulls out the talisman and looks at the plant he needs to find. It’s called the Three-Leaf Earth Plant. With the plant having three leaves and colored brown. This plant is supposed to have gathered a small amount of earth law.
This earth law is the exact reason he came out here. With him nearing the limbo realm he wants to start interacting with laws in some way.
After two days of walking around Raja Kint realizes just how hard this mission is. Although the demon beasts he’s encountered so far are below the mid-outer ki realm in combat proficiency. The Three-Leaf Earth has proved to be hidden extremely well.
While walking around on the third day he hears the sounds of a fight and goes to investigate.
Peering through a bush he spots four kids and a demon beast comparable to peak inner ki realm. He also realizes the strongest kid is comparable to an inner ki realm seventh stage and that they were all in trouble. He also sees their clothes are outside the normal with vines and leaves used.
He furrows his brows, noticing that the way they cultivate seems to be different from the norm. Stepping out of the bush. He runs across the short distance taking out his spear and thrusts the spear through the demon beast's head in a sneak attack.
The four kids stare at him before cowering behind the strongest kid. “You saved us so I owe you.” says the kid.
Raja Kint explains the plant he’s looking for and the kid thinks for a moment. “Tribe might have plants but out here is dangerous.”
“Why were you out here?”
The kid says nothing in return and Raja Kint says. “Lead the way.” Although he’s apprehensive about approaching the tribe. He figured he might get a bit of leeway after saving the kids' lives and asking for a single plant. He also thought of how the kids might badmouth him and land him in hot water.
“Actually, never mind.” Raja Kint turns around to begin walking away.
A soft hand grabbed his forearm as a soft voice sounded. “Please don’t go, we shouldn’t be out this far and it’s scary out here.”
Another soft voice echoed. “If it’s the plant. The tribe has it but it’ll take some convincing.”
Raja Kint’s eyes lit up as he turned around. The girl holding his arm has brown eyes while the other girl has black eyes. Both boys have black eyes but the stronger boy is slightly taller.
Raja Kint quickly calms down before weighing the pros and cons. After a moment of back and forth, he accepts following them back. Even if it’s a slim chance it’s still a chance. While out here he’s seen no sign of the plant. He also wondered if he might catch a break as he also looks the youngest out of the group. And after asking their ages he realized he truly was the youngest with the other kids ranging between twelve to fifteen years old.
