Raja Kint watched as the kids around him hesitated to come forward. Seems there aren’t any at the ninth stage.
“Fuck it!” yelled a charging kid. This kid was like poking a hole in a water bottle. Everyone charged forward.
Raja Kint didn’t bother waiting as he shot forward. There was a cloud of kids surrounding him and the boy. As such he needed to be quick. He clenched his right fist as ki techniques came to light before him. His ki began spiraling as it reached two spirals.
“First fist of devastation!” Raja Kint was only two steps away when he punched out. A heatwave like ki surging from his fist fanning outward. He watched the kids' faces rapidly change as the heatwave ki hit them.
“Ptoo!”
“Ahh!”
“Urgh!”
Blood flew everywhere as the kids who were hit. Slammed into the kids behind them. Some of the kids even seemed to be in critical condition.
“Really impressive,” said the tan-skinned boy.
Raja Kint flexed his fist as he felt tiredness. Seems using this move so many times my body is becoming more used to the strength. Plus, the way I output the power is less explosive and more towards a continuous wave. Seems this has helped with the bleeding hand problem.
Raja Kint watched as out of the group that charged him. Only two who weren’t directly hit could stand.
The two looked at the group of kids sprawled on the ground. With terrified faces they looked at Raja Kint and ran off.
Raja Kint turned around to see the tan-skinned boy was also using ki techniques. His arms were covered in sloth ki with its sharp nails. Legs inside of cheetah ki and his body with an elephant ki. His hands were shaped like claws as he slashed out. Blood sprayed everywhere and his elephant ki body seemed to absorb every hit taken with ease.
Raja Kint knitted his brows. Can I really beat him? He looked around the arena and noticed there weren’t many people still standing. “Should be near the end here.” Raja Kint sighed as he took a moment to sit. As he began stirring his ki he felt the barrier was gone.
His eyes became sharp as he began pushing.
The tan-skinned boy finally beat his group. He stopped using his ki techniques and turned around to see Raja Kint sitting still. His eyes narrowed as ki seemed to be flowing toward this blue-eyed boy. “Breakthrough.”
The tan-skinned boy looked around to see the huge crowd at the start. Was now severely slimmed down. Nobody was paying the two of them any attention too. He looked back at Raja Kint to see the flow of ki had simmered down. He’s done. The boy sat down and quietly recuperated his strength.
Elsewhere, Rhode Kint took a punch to her face. Sending her stumbling backward. She continued looking ahead with sharp eyes.
Opposite her is a ninth-stage girl who uses a ki technique based off of a spider’s web. Her whole body seemed enveloped in a light white film. With strings of white connecting to different areas of the body.
Rhode Kint began dispersing her ki technique. Putting her wings and whip ki techniques away. “If you think I’m like any other eighth stage then you’re sorely mistaken.” Rhode Kint’s voice was unwavering. Two light blue and yellow butterfly ki wings sprouted from her back. The rest of her body being covered in a dim white light. The moment the ki technique appeared her eyes seemed to contain an aurora.
The ninth stage girl looked on in curiosity. “So you were able to push a ki technique to this stage. Normally only someone at the ninth stage can pull this off. With those below being a bit rare. Especially considering you’re from the lower powers like me.”
Rhode Kint took a step forward. “You should view me as if you’re fighting someone from the higher powers.”
Exochos Kint was calmly watching from his rest area. Seems she’s already forced to use this form. That girl also seems quite strong so it makes sense.
Rhode Kint and the Spider Girl shot forward. The Spider Girl opened her palm and clenched it. Rapidly repeating this action and aiming her palm toward Rhode Kint. From her hand shot a white web.
Rhode Kint’s wings folded in front of her. Shielding her as the web stuck to the outside. To her surprise the Spider Girl used her web to swing above the wings into an opening.
Spider Girl fell through the small opening in the wings. Looking Rhode Kint in the eyes. “Got you.” A light aurora flashed through her eyes. Suddenly she was seeing only blue and yellow.
“Ow.” She fell on her side not able to see. “Oof.” She felt a fist dig into her stomach as she squirmed a bit. “Even if I can’t see. You’ll be stuck to my web.”
Rhode Kint responded, “Does it matter?”
The Spider Girl punched out. “Bang!” “OW!” She shook her fist in misery and anger. “What are you made of?”

“A butterfly must have ways to protect itself.” Rhode Kint clenched her fists and pounded into Spider Girl’s body.
Spider Girl gritted her teeth as she grabbed the two fists punching her. While not letting go she tossed Rhode Kint with all her strength. With Rhode Kint away from her. Her vision returned to normal. “Such a dangerous technique”—She lightly held her stomach—“those punches hurt too.”
Rhode Kint frowned. The stickiness of her webs is one thing. The strength she also gets is another worry too. She looked into the distance to see Raja Kint and the tan boy calmly sitting. “Damn bastard is supposed to be helping me. Not relaxing in the middle of a battle.” Rhode Kint’s anger began appearing showing the stress she was under.
Rhode Kint mumbled, “Is there anything I can do. There aren’t many people left. But, who knows how long it’ll be. Some of these people are just running. And, in a battle of endurance. I’ll surely be the one to lose.” Rhode Kint felt pensive about her current battle. If this was a run-of-the-mill ninth stage then she would’ve felt much better. But this girl was clearly a bit talented.
Rhode Kint stood up and ran forward. Spider Girl responded in kind. When the two got close Rhode Kint blocked a right punch with her left wing. Using the stickiness of the web. She quickly curled her wing inward. The Spider Girl instantly cut her connection to the web.
“Bam!” The right wing slammed into Spider Girl causing her face to flush red.
Rhode Kint pushed forward when Spider Girl opened and closed her hands. Shooting out webs, attaching to the wings. Her arms flexed as she began spinning. Rhode Kint tried to fight back but to no avail.
How strong! Rhode Kint spun three times before being launched into the air. Yank! Rhode Kint’s body crumpled on itself as she. “Bam!” Slammed into the ground.
Spider Girl flung her arms. The web sending Rhode Kint into the air. Yanking her arms down Rhode Kint smashed into the ground again. Seeing Rhode Kint’s state she frowned. Mumbling, “That white light must be some type of armor. Should I just leave her be?”
Rhode Kint took advantage of this momentary lapse of action. She dissipated her ki technique. The webs falling to the ground. Immediately a new pair of wings and white light surrounded her body. She took a step and flapped her wings. One could hear how strong the wind was from the flapping of wings.
Spider Girl squinted her eyes and attached her web to the ground. Teeth gritted, she could only watch as the butterfly wings flapped nonstop.
Rhode Kint’s jaw clenched. This is the only method I can think of.
The Spider Girl knew what Rhode Kint was doing after four flaps. She’s just going to keep applying pressure to waste time. Honestly, I’d rather this method than going around for another fight. And, with everyone else focused on themselves this is simple. She looked up at Rhode Kint and mouthed, “Let’s waste time.”
Rhode Kint read her lips and smiled. She lessened the pressure to conserve her energy. Feeling the lessening of pressure, Spider Girl was satisfied. The two playing the part of a drawn out battle of attrition.
At this moment, Raja Kint opened his eyes with a deep breath. “That felt nice.” He looked up to see the tan-skinned boy calmly cultivating. He looked around to see very few people. Pointing, “1, 2, 3… So there are currently 20 people. Only four more need to go now.”
Raja Kint stood up feeling the strength of the eighth stage in clenching his hands. “Once I acclimate to this better. I should have a better chance at winning this competition—” he glanced at the tan-skinned boy “—I really need to stop underestimating people. It seems my background is still influencing my thoughts.”
The tan-skinned boy opened his eyes. Looking at Raja Kint he stood up. “Wanna continue?”
“Nah.”
“Same. I think it’s about time to end this event.”
Raja Kint nodded his head. The tan-skinned boy walked next to him.
“Let’s go hunting for any eighth stages.”
“The girl with me is off limits otherwise I will fight you.”
“Yeah, Yeah.”
Raja Kint spotted a fight and took off. The tan-skinned boy right beside him.
Currently, two eighth-stage cultivators are going full throttle. The girl has ki rhino horns on both her arms. Opposite, the boy has two fingers pointed out from each hand. Ki bee stingers surrounding his hands as he sucked in air.
“Fwoo.” Releasing air the boy ran forward, piercing forth with his fingers. The girl retaliated with her ki rhino horn attacks. The boy was constantly changing his attack direction to dodge the girl. While the girl was constantly trying to land a clean hit.
During this flurry of blows the battle heated up. But, two figures approached at a frightening speed. The two cultivators felt something was off and spared glances in a direction.
It was too late.
Raja Kint clenched his right fist. The tan boy swung his right arm out for a wide hook.
The boy and girl quickly stopped fighting each other as their hearts pounded. In this moment neither wanted to give in when they were so close to passing the arena.
“Bam! Pow!”
Both of the cultivators were knocked silly and unconscious leaving two people left. Raja Kint looked across the arena to see another two eighth stages fighting. The two dashed off in that direction.
With the arena being so clear. When the two eighth stages watched what happened. Then see those fangs pointed toward them. They felt fear. Nobody who could’ve lasted to this point was truly weak… right? If that’s the case their train of thought went the other direction. Monsters! They were facing monsters who would probably be ranking top 32 at minimum.
The two ran off hoping to last this round despite the humiliation.
Rhode Kint and the Spider Girl watched this all happen. They noticed the two running cultivators were approaching another group. Rhode Kint said, “Seems they want to create some chaos.”
Spider Girl said, “They should’ve ran elsewhere.”
Rhode Kint glanced over in curiosity. The girl kept her mouth shut.
The two cultivators reached another fight when the two boys looked toward them. The boy on the left smilingly said, “Two lamb for the slaughter.” The two running cultivators dropped their jaws in fear.
Both of the boys burst forth in a body full of ki techniques. Completely destroying the two in mere seconds.
Raja Kint stopped running as a voice sounded out.
