A week passed as Raja Kint stayed in the tribe writing everything he knew on the mortal step. When he finished writing everything down he was thrown a banquet by the tribe. This lasted an entire night and Raja Kint didn’t wake up until midday.
Raja Kint groggily opened his eyes as his head pounded. Beside him was a pitcher of water and a blue paste inside a small bowl. Next to the bowl he spotted a small piece of paper and opened it. He learned that the water and paste were brought by Odayakana knowing that he would have a hangover after how much he was forced to drink.
Those guys can seriously throw a party. A smile crept onto his face thinking about the past week. On his home planet, he was pretty much nonexistent or if he was existent he was seen as a waste. But here he was celebrated for something more than just his birthday. This feeling is nice. If only they could’ve been here with me. Tears began streaming down his face as he consumed the paste and water and fell back to sleep.
Raja Kint’s eyes opened to a clear head. He quickly got up and walked outside. It’s already nighttime, I slept the whole day away. I have to be careful of drinkers in the future. He looked to his right to see a young woman staring back at him.
She asked, “Do you need anything?”
Raja Kint responded, “No, I plan on leaving.”
“The Chieftain told us you’d be back one day. And he seemed pretty certain about it so I can’t wait to see you again.”
Raja Kint blushed a little. “What are you doing here?”
“I was tasked to help you should you need it.”
He nodded his head and walked off. At the entrance, he gave his goodbyes to the guards before setting off into the forest. Even though it was night and beasts at the peak of the outer ki realm existed. Raja Kint wasn’t nervous in the slightest. He always moved with the tribe’s elite troops through these forests for weeks on end. Hence, he almost felt like this was his backyard. After a few minutes, he felt a familiar aura and turned around to see the Chieftain.
“I figured you might leave as soon as you're clear-headed. With it being dark I'd rather you not meet any mishaps.”
Raja Kint smiled, “Chieftain, I’m sure I’ll be fine. Anyways, thank you for helping me.”
The two continued through the forest taking a day to reach the outskirts.
The Chieftain looked at Raja Kint as he said. “You should be careful of that confidence you have. You’re indeed talented but there are others who are also talented.”
Raja Kint replied, “Of course.”
The Chieftain stared into Raja Kint’s eyes for a moment before sighing. “It seems action will always be louder than words.”
Raja Kint raised an eyebrow then shook his head and set off.
After a few days Raja Kint finally saw a familiar trail. Suddenly a thought popped into his head and he looked down to see the tribe’s clothing. He took a moment behind some shrubbery to change into an all-white outfit. He stepped on the trail and walked to the Kint Sect. Soon he reached the academy and went to the Merchant Mission building next to the Wall of Missions.
Walking through the academy he noticed kids pointing at him. He didn’t care as he arrived at the Merchant Mission building. Here, he waited in a line for a few minutes before he reached the counter.
Raja Kint pulled out the mission paper along with the requested item. When the person took everything they were a bit surprised. Then, they continued to stare at Raja Kint and soon shock covered their face.
“What is it?” asked Raja Kint.
“You don’t seem to be at the late stages of the realm. You’re also that genius from the array division. I heard you entered with the latest batch of students and had just broken through to this realm. Now you’re completing a mission for a late outer ki disciple.”
Raja Kint nodded his head as what the merchant said made sense. He asked, “Is there any news of me going around the academy?”
The merchant’s eyes shifted around as they motioned for him to come closer. Raja Kint stepped forward and the merchant whispered.
“There Are rumors that the reason you were gone for so long was that you left the academy. That you only came here to steal resources and techniques from the academy.” The merchant backed his head away as he looked into Raja Kint’s eyes. He quickly said, “I’ll go get your reward,” and hurried off.
Raja Kint felt anger boiling up inside him. The merchant shortly arrived handing Raja Kint his ki stones. He stored them inside his father’s ring and left for Teacher Array’s home. After a walk of people pointing at him he arrives at Teacher Array’s home.

He knocks on the door and says, “Disciple Raja Kint has arrived.”
After a few minutes, a voice rings out, “Come inside.”
Raja Kint enters the home and finds Teacher Array seated on a sofa. His eyes are closed as he says, “It seems your control of ki is quite well. You also seem to have gained some rewards beyond the mission you did.” His eyes opened as he looked at Raja Kint.
Raja Kint nodded his head, “I’ve stepped into the outer ki realm fourth stage.”
Teacher Array’s eyes narrowed as he scanned Raja Kint over. He said, “Come back in two hours.”
Raja Kint nodded his head and left. Once he left, Teacher Array stood up with a serious face. He took out a talisman and quickly contacted the Headmaster.
As Raja Kint was walking to his home he thought over why anyone would spread such a lie. He could only helplessly shake his head as his home came into view.
“Hey Raja stop for a sec.” Sounded out a boy.
Raja Kint turned around to see a group of three boys. Two in the early outer ki realm and the who called was a mid outer ki realm.
“I heard you tried to take advantage of our academy. After everything the academy had done for you.”
Raja Kint responded, “Clearly I’m right in front of you. So I haven’t left the academy. Just doing a mission.”
The boy nodded his head, “Sounds about right. Have you gotten stronger?”
Raja Kint narrowed his eyes, “A bit.”
The boy chuckled, “I know in our division we focus on arrays. But a bit of physical sparring never hurts.”
Raja Kint agreed as the two ran toward each other. Of course, other students in the surroundings looked over to see the result.
They both threw out a fist as they collided. Raja Kint overpowered the boy as he was sent flying into the other two boys. Raja Kint looked down at his fist before turning around and entering his home.
Some of the kids on the side were surprised.
“Isn’t he at the fifth stage? How did he get destroyed in one punch?”
“It seems like those who stirred trouble will have to deal with this new genius.”
“Could a genius be emerging from our sect? He looks so young.”
Raja Kint entered his home and sighed as he laid back against the wall and closed his eyes. After some time he headed back out to meet Teacher Array again. Once allowed entrance he found the Headmaster also present. He quickly cupped his hands, greeting the Headmaster. Then walked in front of the two waiting for them to talk.
Teacher Array says, “Your strength is quickly rising. Advancing from early to mid in just three months. With just under a year to the competition, you may very well be able to enter this year.
“We also have some concerns about you. For instance, what’s your background?”
Raja Kint responded, “I come from a family that no longer exists.”
The Headmaster said, “That would make sense if you have no backing. Coming to an academy would allow you to be relatively safe. Seeing how high your talent is, it probably isn't a normal family.”
Teacher Array asked, “Why did you come to our sect?”
“I figured it would be easier to advance through the world with backing.”
The two men sat for a moment. The Headmaster said, “This is a quest for revenge isn’t it?” He looked into Raja Kint’s eyes and sighed. “I don’t mind supplying you with resources to increase your skills. Although you probably won’t be here long I hope our investment in you won’t be for naught.”
Raja Kint was a bit unsure what to say so he stayed quiet.
The Headmaster continued, “What are you most proficient in? Is it arrays or are you a fighter at heart?”
Raja Kint smirked, “I love arrays and won’t ever stop learning them.” He paused. “What I’m best at is fighting others head-on.”
The Headmaster chuckled, “So be it then.” He glanced at Teacher Array.
Teacher Array straightened out his clothes as he stood up. With a solemn voice, “Do you pledge to be my direct disciple.”
Raja Kint felt his mind shake. He knew this topic was mentioned before but after he came back. He didn’t think the opportunity existed anymore. He dropped to one knee.
“I Raja Kint pledge to be Teacher Array’s disciple.”
“Rise.”
Raja Kint rose as the Headmaster's hand fell on his shoulder. “As a direct disciple you can’t embarrass us at the upcoming competition.”
Teacher Array spoke, “I want you to immediately go into seclusion. Not only will you be there until you break through to the sixth stage. We’ll provide you with an offensive array and a martial arts manual. Along with a weapon with a manual to go along with it.”
Raja Kint said, “I don’t need the weapon. Is it possible to receive limbo-stage techniques and arrays?”
Teacher Array replied, “I’ll update your status so that you can access limbo-stage techniques and arrays. Choose what you want and come to me.”
Raja Kint’s eyes lit up as he suddenly thought of something. The two men noticed this and Teacher Array said.
“Spit it out.”
“Do you have anything for amorphous earth law?”
The two were shell-shocked before laughing.
The Headmaster said, “Such a talent is truly rare. We have a few but they only start at the limbo realm. And those are the weakest law techniques. How about waiting until after the competition? You can probably acquire a sky or even a sea stage technique with your talents.”
Raja Kint thanked the men as he set off for the academy library.
