College is a huge setback to my writing uwuu… T_T still, I think I will strive to continue the story at all cost until the time where I will release. Also… was I asleep while writing chapter 96!? DX I saw many inconsistencies which I fixed. Altea was the one who had her sister killed by Keltis, apparently, I planned Altea to have an elder sister too so I accidentally mixed them up, though her sister was also killed by a swordmaster, woe is the life of a swordmaster… also when she mentioned I became a “grand” swordmaster I actually meant “great” as in awesome so I changed it to “great” swordmaster and the final detai is in this chapter about a certain annoying Felis. The one who became the grand swordmaster is Altea. XD Phew… I hate plot holes… man I panicked quite a bit… XD.

College really takes away your time T_T anyways I will still continue the story! Two weeks and Iamso miserable… so many things to do! Still.. glad I managed to write a chapter…

Chapter 97 – Dark Metallic Weapon

Taln: Live…? You are saying that must live!? Is there any reason for me left to live!?

Taln said while shouting at Nelus as despair was apparent in her eyes. Lina frowned as she looks at Taln while Kija was quite amused with her reaction.

Nelus: That’s right; you must live and continue onwards.

Taln: …Easy for you to say… I have lost all of those who share my blood…

To the beastmen race, their bloodline is quite important and the more beastmen that share their blood the more their family will flourish, sadly, in Taln’s case her family was full of swordmasters that left on a journey so their family didn’t have the chance to increase. Instead they died one by one as their family decreases until what were left were her Elder sister, her and Kell whom was adopted later by her grandfather.

Nelus: Does that mean those that don’t share your blood aren’t important to you?

Taln: I didn’t say that! I-I…

Nelus: What about Kell, your brother? How about Yora, your disciple?

Taln was speechless as she was in deep thought as well as confusion while Kija was still struggling to free his sword..

Kija: Gahh! Let go of my sword!! Rana! Kill the girl!

Kija said as he was still trying to shake of Nelus’ lightning clad hands and weirdly, the electricity seemed to be ineffective towards the sword as if it was an insulator. As Rana, the beastmen girl besides Kija attacked, a domineering aura appeared in front of her… it was Tania as her hands was immediately covered in scales as if it were dragon claws and fended off Rana’s golden dagger. While this was happening, Taln heard a voice…

???: (Taln.)

Taln: (…!!)

As Taln became startled, she recognized this voice as she trembled slightly while holding back the tears…

Taln: (Grandpa…)

Rana: How can she keep up with my speed!?

Tania: Because I want to…

Tania said indifferently as she appeared besides Rana making her skip a beat as she immediately defends. Tania then thrust her claws directly at her dagger intentionally as a great force was felt by Rana. The blunt side of the dagger sinks onto her chest while she felt as if some of her ribs cracked. She then flew a few meters and once she landed, Tania appeared in front of her as her face paled. In her eyes, it was as if Tania was covered in a red aura that reaches the heavens while looking down at her thus making her tremble. In actuality she was pouting cutely and thinking that Rana was quite weaker than expected. She was imitating Lina whenever she was dissatisfied in which she would pout.

Kija: (Who are these guys… why are they so strong!? I am a major leader, I still have my pride! If I can’t seem to defeat them alone then I will call for the ones guarding the edges of the village.) All of you! Aid me in this battle!!

Kija shouted with a howl as the beastmen around the village howled in response as they ran to the center of the village

As they were splitting up by attacking Nelus, Tania and Taln, Lina felt uncomfortable especially when some of them attacked Taln as she was the most defenseless in her confused state, she ran in front of the group of beastmen heading towards Taln and released a frightening aura. It is the personality of the older Lina from earth. The beastmen laugh as if seeing a cute puppy but then their faces change as they felt a different kind of feeling from her, instead of the naïve and frail Alxia Lina or the Overbearing aura from Llyra it felt mostly like a sharp sword that can cut you in any moment.

It came from Lina’s fighting experience as when she was young she was a delinquent that fight all the time, she only stopped when she saw how worried her parents are when they found out. It was also the reason of her unusually high rank on earth despite her limitations. An angel is still a divine being which boast on the highest overall power despite being so young. The movements she cannot do with her old body were non-existent to an extent. Their faces then turned serious and drew their weapons and charge at her. Nelus then used God’s eyes on Lina to see her current status as he felt curious.

Nelus: (So then there is another soul in control the title and name of that soul will appear as well as the temporary class of the other soul but I have never seen such different classes resonate… a extreme fighter class and a pure support type…)

One of the beastmen uses a skill of his metallic weapon and tries to finish her off as soon as possible as Lina notices this she lets out a grin and said…

Lina: I may have died once but that’s all there is to it! As if I would let a second time happen!

Random Beastman: What are you talking about little girl? Do you think we are afraid of you just because you got a little stronger?  

The beastman then releases an air shaking aura coming from his axe as he swings it towards her, he was using a skill called Ground Splitter. It is quite a common skill in the axe series but what was terrifying was another skill within it called [Destroy+], a rare passive skill that deals unconditional damage to whomever was attacked by it…

Lina then felt something was wrong, the attack seemed too ordinary so she didn’t take the chance and face it head on and instead evaded it even if the beastman in front of her was only of an upper B rank. The man then tries to provoke her…

Beastman: Oh? Where did all that confidence from earlier go?

Lina then sighed as the beastman never foresaw this kind of reaction as he felt that this girl was quite hot-headed. She then rushed towards the other beastmen and used her wing imbued with divinity to boost her forward as she imbues her fist with divinity and smashes one of the beastmen with an uppercut on his stomach as he flew in the air with great force causing the ground underneath her to crack as she let out a seemingly gentle smile.

Lina: Who’s next?

Lina said as their faces paled… even the one who attack her felt nervous as his hands were trembling… he felt that she was a mere A rank and with his skills he can still overwhelm her but that physical strength felt like an S rank’s. The thought of fighting her head on vanished and instead they became cautious. They felt that they should go all out or else this seemingly weak girl can annihilate every single one of them. On Taln’s side…

Tyrell: (Quickly! Take my swords!!)

Taln: (Grandpa… I-I don’t have any reason to fight anymore… with you and sis gone… I…)

Tyrell: (Stop speaking such nonsense!!!)

Tyrell shouted making her quiet instantly.

Tyrell: (Aren’t you a swordmaster!? Fight for yourself, for your sake… as well as mine… take my swords and I will fight with you…)

Taln then stopped hesitating and lunges forwards as she rips off the twin dark platinum swords and takes it from him…

Kija: My swords!!

As Taln stares at the pair of swords a memory flashed into her…

Tyrell: Another one hundred swings!! Then every 5 swings let out a combo of ten slashes from the twin swords technique!

Tyrell shouted at the young Taln who was wearing training gear while she was sweating and her hands trembling from fatigue.

Taln: Please let me rest Grandpa… I have mastered the twin swords already… also for a speed type like me the estoc is of a better weapon.

Taln then realizes what she said as she becomes pale as she looks at her grandpa nervously thinking that he will punish or shout at her… instead what she had seen had shocked her!! Instead her grandpa was smiling and said…

Tyrell: The sword chooses the owner but it is also the case the other way around… an owner chooses if to use the sword… it is more so the case for us swordmasters… so are you sure you want to learn how to use an estoc?

Taln: Yes!

Taln said with a beaming smile… as Taln remembers this she heard once again her Grandfather’s voice.

Tyrell: So what is your choice! Will you use it or not?

Taln then said without hesitation in her eyes…

Taln: I will!!

Taln then grabs the sword as a figure appears n front of her as it then grins…

Tyrell: You may be a speed type, but the twin swords run in our blood… it has long chosen you it was just waiting for you to accept it. I will always be watching over you and protecting you with my swords…

Taln: I’ll be sure to get stronger!

Taln said as once again she tears up…

Tyrell: One more thing… I am proud of you…

Tyrell said in a fading voice as she grips the sword with a pained expression… the sword then showed her its capabilities…

Nelus sighed while he was defending from Kija’s attacks with abandon as he continuously strikes with his fist as his sword was still in Nelus’ hands. Nelus grabbed Kija’s fist and threw him away as he stabbed Kija’s sword on the ground as he uses God’s Eyes to check it.

Taln: Thanks… and I am sorry for my selfishness…

Nelus then walks away and said..

Nelus: Tania, Lina… gather them up.

Tania: Understood.

Lina: Leave it to me!

Both of them said while they were fighting with the immense group of beastmen while still full of vigor.

Murix: (Lord Nelus, please leave the one called Rana alive… I tried to search any records of her and it seems like she was born with a disease that cripples the body and paralyzes them for their whole life… the fact that she is moving now is nothing sort of a miracle as well as it being extremely suspicious. Also please make contact with her as near as possible as I use my scale to imbue my mana into her so that I can still watch over her even if she enters an area where detection is prohibited like the Ruptured Canyon.)

Nelus Nodded and said to the two…

Nelus: Let’s finish them.

Tania’s battle with Rana and the beastmen suddenly stopped as she tries to run towards the group of beastmen from the outer area’s of the village.

Rana: As if I would let you escape soeasily!!

Rana then appeared in front of Tania using a skill from her metallic weapon, [Shadow Rush] as she slices with her dagger as Tania blocks it with her scale covered hand as sparks flew.

Tania: Get out of my way.

Tania then punches Rana’s stomach as she flew to the air as she spits out a mouthful of blood heading towards Lina.

Lina: Leave her to me!!

Lina then grabs the midair Rana and slams her to the ground with a suplex as Rana faints.

Lina: I think boxing suits me more than wrestling…

Lina said as she shakes off the dust on her clothing. She too then heads off to the other side of the outer areas of the village and threw them near the center one by one with astonishing strength and speed as well as Tania using the shockwave of her attacks to blow them away toward the center as it was faster this way than to kill them on the spot…

As for Taln she walks toward Kija...

Kija: Oh? So you your going to kill me?

Taln then grabs his sword and threw it towards him as he catches it.

Taln: If I am going to kill you I would do it with honor and prove my power superior.

Kija: Heh! What a joke! Even weak grandfather cannot do anything to me what makes you think you can?

Taln: Shut up and just fight.

Kija: Quite an impatient one aren't you?

kija said with a maniacal grin filled with killing intent.

Nelus then casts a [Spatial Barrier] around them in a large area as Tania and Lina appeared besides him. All the beastmen in the area had been sucked in by spatial magic as ill as with the help of Lina and Tania by rounding them up It has become a battle of three vs thousands as well as a battle between sword users with one of them full of vengeance…

Ahahaha!!! I am so stressed XD Luckily writing this chapter calmed me down. Also do you like the new style where the skill in in bold? Also, sorry for the cliff after all this time… I need to something tomorrow as well as I will edit the previous chapter by adding the bold style to the abilities as well as noting them down…

XD Hahh… it has been near to a hundred chapters and I need to hone myself from becoming rusty as well as note everythingdown. Its becoming very complicated… especially the 2nd volume after this…
