Chapter 54 – Massacre

No wonder she managed to defeat Raldine… it was that her sister manage to ascend while Raldine hasn’t. As we slowly descend the space in the middle of the crowd everyone sneered at her and has thrown things at her. I then repel all of it with a . She then had downcast eyes as tears slowly fill her eyes. It seems for the Xaelos, strength was everything and if you don’t produce results for another 3 tries you are thereby banished. Returning after banishment is shameful to their race. I then released my killing intent to pressure them as they fell silent as Wedea’s smile grew wider in anticipation. Suddenly the man beside her scowled and shouted…

???: Quickly kill her father!! Donn’t let her have the chance to save her father!

Wedea: Trason! I ordered you to let her have one more chance!

Trason: Chances!? She was given the 3 already and she failed us!

Raldine: Stop!!

I then tried to stop the executioner’s ax and succeeded as Trason suddenly smirked… in front of me… Raldine’s father’s body implodes until it shatters to pieces… as did Raldine… I failed her… my mind went blank as for the first time I let down a promise then suddenly Raldine herself implodes as she too explodes to pieces.

Wedea: Trason what is the meaning of this!?

Trason: You didn’t kill her so I secretly put a rare artifact inside her drink once before as I did to him. You see only you are fit to be our queen as well as my wife.

Wedea: Guards! Seize this man… what!?

Nobody move as instead they seize their weapons at her… she then glared at him…

Trason: I already paid them everything… you see times like these doesn’t want someone to just rule with power, a ruler needs to have intelligence as well as wit to rule.

Wedea: You… you cowards…

Wedea then summons a crossbow mana weapon as it transforms into a great sword and blows everyone away… as she was going to slash at Trason she trembled… for the first time… she felt a slight fear… she had faced many enemies who were stronger than her and this feeling was unique to her… a person then steps on the platform emanating an ominous aura… it was Nelus with an ice cold expression… his purple eyes turns black as he looks at Trason who was force down to the floor because of the extreme pressure that all of his bones inside his body breaks…

Trason: Aaahhh!!!??? GGGuuuaaahh!!! Dddnnnttt!! Kkkllllffff mmmiii!!

He said as he tries to speak with all the strength he willed up.

???: Use me…

A deep male voice suddenly reverberates in his head… as darkness started to cover his arm…

???: Yes!! Use me!!

As the darkness slowly forms into a figure he intensified his pressure to the point of killing everyone but Trason. In a matter of seconds, hundreds of thousands died, as for Wedea she managed to survive as she smashes deep into the platform.

Wedea: (Why is this happening… sister what have you brought upon us? Is this retribution for my thirst for power…)

Trason was trembling as tears fell from his eyes… he was mistaken, the actions he took was too far… he was eternally regretful, he was the adviser for many generations of queens that he finally thirst for power and become the first ever Xaelos king… but there is nothing left… everyone died… still, he was afraid of dying.

Trason: Hiii!!

Nelus: Die.

Trason then was smashed to a pulp due to the pressure intensifying. As the darkness slowly converges into a glove like state a familiar female voice echoed in his head.

???: Nebulus, stop!! Please… don’t… again…

The voice then slowly fades as Nelus stop converting mana to darkness.

???: Tch!!

Nebulus’ eyes return back to normal as the darkness dissipates… as he looks around him it was a sea of blood… corpses everywhere… his view then reaches the queen as she stood up…

Wedea: Why… why didn’t you kill me! I’m all alone…

Nelus: …

Wedea: Say something!! Kill me…

Nelus: I have a better idea.

Wedea: What is better than all of this!!

Even with what has happened, Wedea’s heart was beating faster… she was attracted to his strength, his ruthless power as well as his godly looks… still, in her heart, it was in chaos… he killed everyone…

Nelus: I can give you second chance… stop that man before he kills Raldine and his father.

Wedea: Huh!? What will you do? Everyone’s dead! Are you going to bring them back to life? Impossible! Necromancy can only turn them into the undead…

Wedea said as she started to cry… all her training to overthrow her sister was wasted… suddenly Nelus said…

Nelus: I will turn back time, and bring everybody back.

Wedea: Ridiculous! Temporal magic can at most turn back seconds and it has been a few minutes… you would need at least ten X ranks who has a great aptitude in temporal magic, don’t tell me your temporal magic’s aptitude is extremely high because even if it is it is still impossible…

Nelus: My aptitude is very low.

Wedea: Even more so!!

Nelus: But my mana can compensate… wait a little as my mana refills…

Wedea: What are you…

Nelus then creates a around the area as he use all the mana within him to use inside the barrier… as mana fills the surroundings, Wedea was shocked as she had Never felt this much mana before… everyone was turned back the way they are before Nelus killed them. She couldn’t understand how it happened… it was just too sudden… was an X rank spell but it consumes massive amounts of mana… most X ranked people can only reverse up to 10 seconds while consuming all of their mana… Nelus went way beyond what was possible and reverse minutes which were inconceivable! She then heard a familiar voice…

Trason: Chances!? She was given the 3 already and she fai…

He suddenly stopped and looks around… when he saw me he trembled as he runs away… he remembered how he was killed as the memories were retained by those within the … I mean what is the use in using Time magic to reverse time if they cannot change the future though magic like these can only be used once a year so usually, people who could use this magic saves it for emergency as Time magic is too precious. As for the people who got killed their memories only contained that the surroundings suddenly turned black as they were all killed too quickly so they do not remember that they died. As for Raldine, she remembered that her father died as she died two seconds after her father… as she rush towards Trason, her eyes widen as Trason was cut into two… it was her sister… wielding a giant great sword.

Wedea: A promise is a promise.

She looked at Nelus while grinning.

Raldine: Eh…

Raldine’s thoughts became blank… she was trying hard in processing what just happened… first her father died then everything went black… then she sees her father again, alive as if she got another chance, then Trason was killed by her sister as she looks at Nelus while grinning.

Raldine: Eh… eeehhh!!!?? W-w-wha-what!? You know temporal magic!? As well as space magic… you’re like an otherworldly being…

Nelus: I am not. (I’m a God)

Raldine: I-I see…

She became flushed as she further falls for Nelus as saving her father was something she cannot repay. She knows how precious spell is due to its usage limit. Thanking him will never be enough…

Wedea: Hahahaha!! You sure are interesting! Sister, quite the monster you brought in.

Nelus: Now let us duel but before that…

Suddenly Raldine’s father and Raldine, convulses in intense pain as two crystals appeared on his hand, covered in blood as he then crushed it…

Raldine: Guuuhh!!! Aaahh!! Hah… hah… Nelus… what are you… where did those crystals come from...

Nelus: It was the artifact he used to kill you and your father…

Raldine: I was killed…?

Raldine then unconsciously shivered as she thought of herself being killed. Now she really cannot repay him… and after she defeats her sister, her debt will even get larger.

Wedea: I know I cannot defeat you but let us enjoy ourselves.

Everyone-in-unison: Whaaaaaattt!!??

They were dumbfounded… this was the first time their queen admit defeat before a duel… their queen who had fought almost every ruler divine being and ends up winning.

???: My queen! What are you saying!?

Wedea: This man’s strength is unfathomable… I am afraid that I have met my match… but I will not let such an enjoyable duel pass by so I will try my all to defeat him!

As we head towards the east of the room were there was an arena located within this extremely enormous room, we entered it. She then summons her crossbow as I used my God’s eyes on it.

Red Star Destroyer Crossbow, Almylis Type:Crossbow, Mana WeaponDurability:?? / ??Quality:XA bow that was forged from a red meteorite whose hardness was otherworldly. It was then created into a bow by a legendary blacksmith because of its capability to create mysterious, crimson arrows made of converted mana.

The crossbow had a crimson, ruby like shade just like her eyes as she points it towards me. She then points it at me as she grinned. She gathers her mana immediately as a crimson arrow made of energy appeared as she pulls the trigger I casts flame force as flames appeared everywhere being gathered towards my arm forming a glove like shape as spikes formed on the knuckles and flames spirals around it. It then blocked the arrow as it seems it was just a diversion as another arrow was behind it. As I block the second arrow she fires again, intercepting the arrow while it heads towards my stomach instead as its trajectory was changed. I then grab the arrow as I throw it towards her.

The arrow passes through her as she suddenly vanished; she used the light spell, . She reappears behind me and fires an arrow unlike before, it had a more yellow like color instead of the usual crimson it suddenly explodes as it shatters to pieces… tiny fragments of it were heading my way. I used to guard myself as explosions occurred within it as it absorbed the pieces. Wedea clicked her tongue as she then grins, she was truly enjoying herself. Using her immense speed she jumps towards the sky and used as she solidified the mana by condensing it and converting it to light. Dozens of platforms made of light then appeared above us.

As she jumps from platform to platform she uses in all directions around me. I then used the spell which I got the idea from Rezald’s dome when he manipulated the earth. It was instead created with mana though not as dense as Rezald’s. As the fragments of arrows reach my dome it then explodes in a chain reaction causing the area around the dome fill with smoke. Wedea then waited, she knew this wasn’t enough in defeating him as she witnessed his power first hand… and she was right… only a small part of the dome was destroyed. Wedea smiled anticipating what he will do next when suddenly… Nelus punches the dome piece by pieces. On was headed towards Wedea so she dodged by jumping towards another platform as she was suddenly blown away by something. She grits her teeth due to the pain that invades her as she shrugs it off.

It seems Nelus punched the pieces of the dome towards each of the platform as he then closes in to Wedea. He then punches her as she transforms the crossbow into a greatsword. She blocks his punch but was still blown away as she spits out a mouthful of blood. She rushed towards Nelus and slashes the greatsword with abnormal speed despite the sword’s size. Nelus then grabs the edge of the sword using his left hand and then punches it with his right to the side of it. Suddenly, as if hit by something massive, her sword was tilted to the right by great speed, as she was holding onto the sword, as did Nelus, it acted as if a lever, flinging her into the wall… everyone was tense as they thought it was over when…

A bloody figure staggers while smiling approaches Nelus. Nelus then willingly gave her sword back and resume fighting close quarters. She then used a skill as Nelus guarded with his flame clad hands as the greatsword was covered in crimson energy as it explodes as it impacts at Nelus as Nelus took a step back. Nelus then absorbs the explosion as his eyes turned red… Wedea then remembered when Nelus eyes turned black as she involuntarily trembled leaving an opening. Nelus then punches her as his fist headed towards her stomach when suddenly she disappears… as the blast from the punch created a trench on the ground throughout the path of the blast.

Wedea: Phew… to think I would use this again… I promised myself to never use it once I am strong enough; I guess it was inevitable…

Wedea then sighed in relief on the side wielding a pair of twin daggers as she rushes towards Nelus with speed unlike before as she uses the skill . Countless of slashes headed towards me as her hands become a blur due to her speed as expected of a divine race that focuses in speed and strength. Dispersing the flames on my hand, clouds then gathered on my hand as lightning surges forth, I used as my speed increases due to its properties. Fire was more destructive than lightning as lightning was faster. Using an array of attacks using both of my hands, I easily intercepted the countless of slashes as I rushed towards her. I then point my arm at her neck as she drops her weapons and smiled…

Wedea: I concede… my strongest attack… hahh…

The story changed yet again due to my mood… XD Nelus was suppose to stop them using partial element armor in the original, stopping the execution immediately while sensing the mana crystals within the two but that would be unexplainable as it was just too sudden also it would be boring that way so I left another hint. :-D

Even if I’m tired I don’t know why but I really love to write! :-D
