Chapter 77– 4  Void Rulers

We look at looked at the man in front of us; he is of the void race, a being of darkness that closely resembles a human like that of vampires. He was on top of a structure when he fired that high rank void attribute spell, Void Reflector. He then jumps off and landed in front of us, he had a slender face and body, piercing black eyes with his eyebrows knitted while wearing a black leather coat. He was looking at us with annoyance as he glances at the one beside me, Clara.

Talex: What is the meaning of this vampire queen?

Talex said as he glared at her as she shivered.

Clara: Lord Talex I…

Clara said while stuttering, unable to finish her sentence as Talex snorted.

Talex: Hmph, so you are betraying us? Is that it?

Talex said with questioning eyes as Clara suddenly felt stiff. I then used God’s eyes on him.

Nelus: Who is he?

Nelus asks as he turns towards Kawt as Kawt ponders for a moment.

Kawt: I heard of him, he is the only X ranked void other than Lady Void.

Talex then looked at Kawt with amusement as he said.

Talex: Oh? You know me? Then why aren’t you trembling in fear like this queen here?

Kawt then said with fanaticism in his voice which startled Talex and made Cellux and the others uncomfortable.

Kawt: Its alright… as long as Lord Nelus is here… everytying will be okay…. Hehehehe…

Talex felt a chill on his spine as he glared at Kawt as he then rushed towards him while the mana around his palm were converted to void and said.

Talex: Disgusting! What happened to you!? I have heard of you, Kawt the instructor who was closest to becoming the youngest commander in our history. For you put such faith towards beings of divinity, disgusting!!

As Rezald was the closest to Kawt, he summoned Lasteon and blocked in front of him as he used the middle part of the spear. He was then shocked as he was sent flying due to the massive force as he used Gale Manipulation, a skill of his manaform weapon, to push him back as he returned to his initial position.

Rezald: (Strong! A little bit weaker than the strength I felt emanating from demon king Riseos but impressive nonetheless.)

Talex: Oho, when I first saw you I thought you were just a fragile human.I guess I was wrong, hmm… let me see if I can read you… you haven’t even reached the age of 25, even the blessings of a God. Quite impressive, so what if you reach the age 25? Looks like I need to kill you now.

Talex said as the mana around him fluctuated as Clara’s face became pale.

Rezald: (So he only read my age. He didn’t know I already have a blessing. It came from bro Nelus.)

He then looks at the others and as his gaze fell upon Nelus, he couldn’t hide his shock. No matter how much he tries to read him nothing works. He even used the most powerful reading spell, Overseer’s Eyes, and to his surprise, not even a bit of information appeared.

Talex: You there, I can feel an immense power around you as well as the others near you but I can somehow feel that you are unique. You there, the human, can you tell me who he is?

Talex said as he looked at Nelus curiously.

Rezald: His name is Nelus, a divine.

Rezald said as Talex specifically asked him.

Talex: How peculiar, then show me your metallic wings like that man over there.

He said while pointing at Cellux as Cellux frowned as he said.

Cellux: He doesn’t have one but he is a divine, even if he doesn’t have wing he is still one.

Talex ponders for a bit and as he couldn’t take it any longer, he used void armament on himself and rushed towards Nelus to test him. Nelus then responded quickly and used, Divine Combat Style: Stance 10, Arclight Defense as Nelus’ arms were covered in dense divinity as his eyes glowed a silver like aura.

Talex: Those eyes… so its true, all the more to kill you! Because of beings like you that Lady Lexa is!!

Talex said as his black eyes became more greenish black as his breathing became rough. He tries to stab Nelus with his open hand as he tries to pierce him with his void covered arms by concentrating it on his fingers like a sharpened blade. Nelus punches towards Talex as a crunching noise can be heard as their attacks collide… it was Talex’ fingers whose bones were shattered. Talex then used Void Transfer to send Rezald, Cellux, Clara and Kawt to somewhere else as a portal swallows them. It was too sudden for them to retaliate.

As Nelus’ companions were gone he can now concentrate better as no hindrance will bother them. Talex remained calm as he rushed at Nelus with more force as he used the previous spell, Void Reflector as his void beam bounces off the air as if there were floating invisible mirrors on the air while trying to find Nelus’ weaks spot. What was actually happening is, Void Reflector is using a Spell to “redirect” another spell. First, any spell that is at least a projectile or energy type must be used. By using Void Reflector, he can summon small void portals from any direction within a certain radius. If a void spell was used as a projectile or energy type, each time it passes through a portal it gets stronger though each time you use the reflector, a large amount of mana is used which can be a threat to one’s life.

Each time the beam gets redirected it seems to get thicker as Nelus used Lightning Force to get ready. A hole then appeared as Nelus used spatial magic as a stream of electricity connects with it as it moves around with his hand. The beam then headed his was as it was sucked in by the hole on Nelus’ hand leaving Talex dumbfounded.

Talex: What did you just do!?

Nelus then pointed his arm towards Talex. As Talex felt something bad was going to happen, by using most of his mana he opened a large void portal in front of him to redirect Nelus’ possible attack. What Nelus was using was a combination of Spatial Magic and Lightning Magic like the one he used on the Xaelos fortress as it seems like only energy type spells can be affected by this spell as this spell can “contain” it as for projectile and solid objects, the spell Nelus used is unable to “hold” it. Rings appeared in front of the hole as it converges into one. Nelus then releases the beam as it creates ripples around the path it headed as cold sweat gathered on Talex’ face.

The beam was then eaten by the portal as Talex’ face revealed relief. After a while he was anxious… it seems like he was unable to summon another portal of a size larger as the stronger the spell it eats the harder to redirect it. His face then turns ugly ashe immediately retreated as an explosion occurred as if from thin air as it destroyed almost everything within its vicinity, harming him somewhat. He then grins as he thought even Nelus couldn’t survive this blast. Suddenly, a figure burst out from the dust clouds in front of him with tremendous speed as it appears in front of him almost instantly. It was Nelus using, Divine Combat Style: Stance 9, Flash Assault as he punches his lightning clad hands towards his chest as he convulses. He then bit his lip to prevent his consciousness from fading as he was blown away.

Nelus then reappeared on his side and uses Divine Combat Style: Stance 6, Arclight Fang as he concentrated divinity on his fingers as he opened my fist slightly forming a sharp teeth like formation using his hands. Nelus smashes both of his claw like hands on Talex’ chest as he smashes onto the ground.

On Kawt’s side…

Clara and Kawt stood in a dark peculiar room with no way out as a figure appeared in front of them.

Golus: I see that the vampire queen is well.

The large man said as he opens a smile which made her terrified, even if the man in front of her was only an S class.

Golus: Who knew that the ones Talex ordered me to kill were you guys.

Clara: Golus, we can avoid this if…

Golus: Prepare yourselves!!

Clara: (Hahh... I just want to return to Malius city... why did it come to this?)

Golus said as he rushes towards us as Kawt takes out something from his robe.

Kawt: Teleport.

Kawt said as the two disappeared from the astonished Golus’ sight.

On Cellux’ side…

On Cellux and Rezald’s face were… awkwardness… in front of them were two peak S rank beings of darkness… and what they are doing was… flirting in front of them.

Geai: My dear Utma it seems like there are two people who needs to be eliminated.

Utma: Lets show them the power of our love!

They said towards each other as Rezald summoned his spear and transforms it into its staff mode as Cellux used Divine Drive… both of them were expressionless as they approach the two.

Cellux: (The only ones who can flirt as long as that around me is me or my son Ciall!!... Or maybe Lord Nelus if he chose to…)

Rezald: (Ahahaha…hahaha… it must be good to flirt with someone like that… I somehow remember my brother flirting like that in front of me every single time… it has been 15 hours for God’s sake!!?? You beat my brother’s record of 9 hours…)

As for how this much time has passed for them and not much for others, Rezald thought that they would face people with a caliber of Talex so he used the spell in his crystal which he got from Nelus which contained Spatial Zone with a configuration of time conversion in which he uses for training. Normally he wouldn’t use something like this when together with Nelus but he was rushing as he can’t waste any time if ever something happens outside their boundary like if Nelus will need their assistance for something as well as protecting Kawt and Clara as it was a task entrusted to them by Nelus as he thought that, if they will come with them towards the city of the void, there is a chance that they will be branded as traitors. Rezald and Cellux were irritated and as they were a few feet apart from the two flirting voids an immense pressure appeared on Geai and Utma. They trembled in fear and said.

Utma: Wait… I…

Cellux: Divine Combat Style: Stance 17, Divine Vessel…

Said Cellux as a stream of divinity rushed out from him as it solidifies around him giving him 150% of his power. The longer time passes the more divinity was used but he planned to finish immediately so he used this stance.

Geai: Shouldn’t we talk this out…?

Rezald: Gale and Gaia manipulation…

Rezald said as he smashes the head of the staff onto the ground as his yellow eyes glows a golden aura as his green one glows an emerald like aura. He created spheres made of dense earth as it slowly rises up in the air as wind surrounded them. He then compressed the wind to create pressurized winds swirling around them.

Cellux: Let us give you a piece of advise.

Rezald: You both should use your strongest defensive spell, otherwise you can’t blame us for what happens next…

Utma and Geai used most of their mana to use Void Armament to its limit as Cellux disappeared and appeared in front of Utma and used Divine Combat Style: Stance 15, Arclight Destruction as it shatters his defense and sends him flying towards the wall as his body buries into it. Rezald then sent the flurry of Tearing Wind covered Dense Earth Spheres towards Geai as it grinds on her armor smashing it effortlessly. Rezald then withdrew the tearing winds and smashed the sphere onto her blowing her away towards the wall right next to where Utma was buried onto.

Rezald: If you want to flirt during battles then find a hole to do so, hmph.

Cellux: Well that wasted “our” time.

Cellux said with a sigh as his eyes were bloodshot as well as Rezald. The reason for their actions were mostly because for the past 14 hours other than the first hour, they tried to prompt them to fight only for them to tell Rezald and Cellux to wait just 5 minutes until 10 minutes passed then 30 then 50 then and hour… 2 hours… 3… it was far to much annoying.

Rezald: I’ll withdraw the the Spatial Zone, it seems the spell inside the crystal is almost used up.

Cellux: Alright and lets head back to Lord Nelus.

Rezald and Cellux said as they try to find a way out of the room.
