I felt like I should introduce the Gods of Alxia so that I can integrate them better in the story so I will tell you a flashback of the time before Alxia. Hope you enjoy the chapter! Genbalt will also become a big part of the story so there will be some chapters with his own POV.

Chapter 6.5 God of the Earth and Sky

Genbalt POV

I was born into the pantheon as an "offspring" meaning I was born from a partner of Gods or God Kings. My father was Daludis God King of Authority and my mother is Viara Goddess of Freedom. My father is extremely strict but when it came to my mother he becomes extremely soft. When I was born I was first tested using an artifact that can activate the dormant power of newborn Gods. My father said, when he was tested, the Gods around him temporarily was under his control but only a second while my mother's... was when the Gods suddenly left the testing room, as if they seems to have some important things to do. They were forced to be the representative so they had no choice but to test newborns but because of my mother's uncontrollable power of freedom they followed their free will and left and so my father went to deal with the aftermath.

The ground shook a little and the wind blew a small storm. Everyone was looking excited, especially my father. It seems I am one of the "Specials" those are Gods that either have a unique combination or power. I was named Genbalt because of my powers which is God's language means Gen for Flowing wind and Balt for hard ground. My father started teaching me, how to govern a world, others things and to be a God King one day as it will bring honor if ever I had the chance. First he taught me of a God's duties, link with only those who are worthy for them to gather achievements and become stronger in exchange for blessings or to first join a clan in one of the God King's Realm and govern your own world, so on and so forth. I just want to be free to do what I want without anyone telling me what to do like my mother who is free to do whatever. Once I have power, I will have freedom. For now my father said is to always follow the God King's orders with all I got.

Genbalt: Mother, I am so envious of you...

Viara: Why, sweetie?

Genbalt: That you could bee so free... I wish I was a God of Freedom too.

Viara: Hahaha!!

Genbalt: Why are you laughing?

Viara: You don't need to be a God of Freedom to be free, You can do whatever you want sweetie.

Genbalt: Really? What about father?

Viara: He is just a worrywart… that is why he was teaching you. He was always saying "V-viara, Viara do you think I need to teach him about governing others or the laws of the world... I am worried... what if he was taken advantage of by other Gods or his God King considering he's a special or what if he will be forced to do a taboo... if something were to happen... oh no I am wasting time... Genbalt! Genbalt!" It was so funny. Go and do what you want. Your still young you are just a few thousands of years old, make some friends and have some fun!

Genbalt: I-I will.

Since then I socialize with other Gods and had a few girlfriend Gods here and there as it seems that to them I was more handsome than most Gods which at first made me embarassed until I got used to it. What I look like is that I have crimson eyes and black hair, quite muscular and fairly toned yet slender with slightly pale skin. I also played with the other God's until my father found out.

Daludis: Genbalt! I have never been so disappointed in you...

Genbalt: I-I am sorry father but...

Daludis: You don't need such nonsense! You only need to learn to follow and to lead one day.

Genbalt: Why... why do I need to do such things... to join in the politics of the Gods... to follow a destiny only set in front of me, fa...father I just want to be as free as mother to do the things that I want to do! Please...father...

Daludis: Enough! Genbalt you just...

Viara: Dear. Let him do what he wants.

Viara said menacingly.

Daludis: B-b-b-b-b-but Viara... I just.

Viara: Daludis.

Cold sweat formed from Daludis as he then looks away.

Daludis: I-I understand... but... I was just worried about the boy...

Viara: Hahh… I know your worried dear. That is one of the thing that I love about you.

Daludis: But what if something happens...

Viara: He can handle himself and he is a good boy, right Genbalt? 

Viara grinned as she looks towards the teary eyed Genbalt.

Genbalt: Yes! Father please believe in me! I have already learned so much from you. You can count on me to do what is right.

Daludis: I... understand... hahh...

Since then I finally had the freedom I want. The only thing I am worried about is the choosing of one's God King once you reach an age of 10 thousand years old, to be bound again and just do the bidding of others.

Daludis: Genbalt, which pantheon will you pick?

Genbalt: Hmm... I will pick the 182nd pantheon.

Daludis: Ohh! One of the old pantheons. Hmm... the best God King there is Mesira joining him will be worth your while. I know he will not reject you, considering your a special God.

Genbalt: I haven't chosen any of them yet.

Viara: Sweetie, just choose something that you know you will not regret one day.

Genbalt: Yes, I will do just that.

When I was transferred to the 182nd, around me was thousands and thousands of Gods. It seems there is a few that I am familiar with.

Genbalt: Murix! Lonlei!

Murix: G-Genbalt... hello please don't call out my name...

Lonlei: Oh how bold of you to call to to me! Do you accept my confession now?

Genbalt: Hahh… No.

Murix is one of my early friends when I started to socialize. She is extremely bashful yet despite that she is the Goddess of Law and Order, she quite idolizes my father. When we don't follow some rules... she can be... quite... angry. Lonlei is the Goddess of Love which is quite common. She kept on pestering boys with her confessions but is mostly rejected because even if she is extremely beautiful it make us doubt if she can be faithful. As for relationships, I had plenty of experience but I don't want to marry anyone soon. I don't want to be bound to someone, to be as free as the wind.

Murix: I can't pick which... I was recommended to join Mesira's.

Genbalt: Me too.

Lonlei: Also me...

Genbalt: Which one of those in front is Mesira?

Lonlei: Didn't you know? Mesira is always absent... to bad... I wanted to see him. Rumor says he is the most handsome God King.

Murix: ...To not even show at an important time like this... is he busy?

Genbalt: Why is no one going to that white haired God King? The one reading a book?

Murix: I don't know...

Random God#8954: Didn't you hear? That one is the loser God king... he doesn't have even one achievement. Just follow my advise... do not join his clan. He doesn't even have one God in it.

Genbalt: If he doesn't have any achievements... how did he become God King?

Random God#8954: He was born as a God King, a mystery, his name is Nebulus. He was born in the pantheon as a "spontaneous" or what you call Neo God or Neo God King. They are Gods that is just born into the world. He doesn't have any parents and just uses books to learn everything he knows now. He is also called the dull God, he just do the order of the God Emperor like in clan meetings and choosing ceremonies like now. Another reason why no one joins him is that he refuses to join God's politics. He believes God's link with mortals and immortals just for their benefits and to just become stronger, he is also creepy... his expressions never changes much, he never smiles and just inside his realm reading whatever. Haahh... He had such great potential as a special... its so disappointing...

Genbalt: (So he is like me in a way at first I also didn't want to join God's politics... and he also does what he wants to do...) I know who to choose!

I approached the God King called Nebulus and he looked at me with his purple emotionless eye, it sent shivers on my spine. It felt like a ghost... without emotions... devoid of everything... just looking at me.

Genbalt: Who are you?

Zanth: I am Zanth God of Creation and Destruction...

Genbalt: Whoa! Your a special too!?

???: Oohh... this seems interesting... maybe I'll join too. Fufufufu. Lord Nebulus if we join your clan will you order us around?

Nebulus: No... I... will... not... unless... if... it... is... necessary...

???: Jackpot! All the other God Kings only order and order Gods around even if it is unnecessary especially that Mesira... I heard you will not join the God's politics... I like it...

Lonlei: Ohh! Another one! What is your name.

Folia: I am Folia Goddess of Chaos and mischief. Come here my manservants!

Kiex: Don’t call your brothers your manservants! My name is Kiex God of War and this is Halor God of the Sea.

Halor: Nice to meet you all.

After the ceremony was over we headed towards Lord Nebulus’ Realm and it was quite empty and dark.

Lonlei: It is so dark will anyone do something about it?

Murix: Lonlei!

Nebulus: .....

Genbalt: It is okay Lord Nebulus I heard you weren’t expecting anyone to join your clan.

Folia: Zanth, you’re a God of creation, create something.

Zanth: I can’t, creating even a star will take thousands of years…

Nebulus: Leave… it… to… me…

As Lord Nebulus lift up his hand a small vortex with a massive amount was formed above his palm and it extended and extended forming a small galaxy. Next are shimmering rocks on his other hand’s palm was sprayed around us forming planets and stars.

Lonlei: Wow!…

Zanth: H-how… Lord Nebulus are you a special God of Creation!? It takes tens of thousand of years to create what you have done… such craftsmanship too…

hearing Zanth's excited voice Folia took a proud pose as if praising herself as he then said...

Folia: Didn’t you even study the God Kings of the pantheon that you have selected. I am quite disappointed. He is Nebulus, God King of Celestial his specialty is the heavenly and divine which includes heavenly bodies like planets and stars.

Halor: We just told you about it a moment ago…

Folia: Quiet manservants!!!

Kiex: Don’t call us your manservants! Also I too am amazed… I only heard about his prowess but this is astonishing...

Lonlei: I expected him to be the God King of Darkness before I saw this...

Murix: For now we should find a planet to make our world.

Zanth: We need to pick carefully as it isn’t uncommon to fail in making life on a planet. To not waste energy we need to see which planet will be the best in handling life.

Nebulus: What… about… this…

Nebulus pointed out an empty planet with a more spherical shape with slightly rough edges and a few moons rotating around it. It was the sole planet with a more stable appearance and position than the other created planets.

All-in-unison: That’s it!!

Halor: That is perfect! Its position, size, weight…

Zanth: Even for a God that created his or her planet will have a hard time finding something as perfect as this… tell me how can you pick a planet as perfect as this easily… I think even the potential of life that will be born here will be great...

Nebulus: Books… this… one… is… called… Astronomy… and… Science… This... core... too... was... given... to... me...

Folia: Reading is too boring…

Murix: Now lets make a name for it.

Genbalt: What about Golsette.

Lonlei: Hahahaah!!! What naming sense… literally… ball of earth…Pfft!! haahhahahah!!!

Genbalt: …

Folia: Then what about Gigantse?

Kiex: Ahaahaha!! Literally… "big thing"… A-a-aahaahhahaah!!!!

Folia: Sh-shut up manservant!!

Nebulus: Alxia…

Lonlei: Ohh! I like it “Heaven’s Gift”.

Murix: Now it is time to build our world.

Genbalt: Which of us will govern?

Kiex: It is okay, you five are first to enter the can as it is only fair.

Halor: Haha… For a God of War you don't seem to be like one... also don't worry about me and Kiex, we will just help in recruiting during ceremonies.

Firstly I made the earth and the sky as the planet was still unstable and the beings that corresponds with it. Next is Zanth with the help of Halor, taught him a way of making water more efficiently, so he is responsible for the sea and it becomes more of his domain. Murix made the law and created balance in the world. Folia was… doing what she wants to do. Lord Nebulus created the beings of light and darkness in some of my lands and with Zanth’s help they created the remaining element beings of fire and water. Lonlei was creating the mind and emotions of the being but was balanced by Murix as the beings were… multiplying too much…

At first, some of them often visit Lord Nebulus. After hundreds of thousands of years they got tired at visiting him as he was mostly unresponsive and eventually they only visit him when necessary like reporting about the lands that they govern… even that stopped too until I was the only one left visiting him. To me it was quite fun even if he wasn’t responsive too much. I always visit him always when I have the chance and he always listen to me intently even with my complaints. Little by little I noticed him change, even if it is quite unnoticeable. One day I can finally see the change on him.

Genbalt: Lord Nebulus, why don't you try to socialize a bit... like with the beings we created... only my beings know of your existence as I sometimes tell stories about you.

Nebulus: I do not need it and I like reading books better.

Genbalt: But... ah! I remember... Lord Nebulus! Look at this!

Nebulus: What is that?

Genbalt: It is Alxia’s first ever currency! It is made of elder wood. Red elder wood coins are the lowest and most common, next is Blue elder wood coins, then black elderwood and finally the highest is the purple elder wood coins. 100 of each coin equals their designated higher one. I got the idea from our eyes, mine was red and it is the most common because… I made too much… next is blue from Lonlei’s eyes, then black from Murix’s eyes and finally purple from your eyes.

Nebulus: It looks like a nibbled cookie from the common world.

Genbalt: Wha!? I-I know it is still not perfect as all of them have different sizes… and that it may be rough looking… b-but I can fix it!

Nebulus: Hah…

Genbalt: !!!!! Did you just laugh!?

Nebulus: I… did not...

Genbalt: You did, didn't you?

Nebulus: Hahh…

I was content with everything. I was free to do anything I want even if I govern my own world and so far everything has been fun and recently I call Lord Nebulus’ name without formalities and he seems to be okay with it. I formed links with my beings and became friends with them as I interacted using telepathy, my all seeing mirror or using image form.

Genbalt: Say… Nebulus do you want to be my friend?

Nebulus: Friends? I had read about those but I can’t seem to understand how it works…

Genbalt: Friends are those who you look after, those you want to protect and those who are important to you.

Nebulus: Friends… then Genbalt will you be my friend?

Genbalt: No.

Nebulus…

Genbalt: Hahaha! I am already your friend!

Nebulus: I see…

I grinned as Nebulus smiled wryly.

Everything was fine until… Nebulus has been acting quite strange recently… Sometimes, I can’t find him in his realm and sometimes I do. Now, Nebulus has been missing for days… I am getting  quite worried about my friend… and for not knowing what might have happened and all I can do is wait as I trust that Nebulus will make the right choice…
