Chapter 91 – Grand Swordmaster Keltis

Nelus: No need.

Hearing Nelus’ answer, Altea frowned as she then sighed.

Altea: Hahh… well I guess your not a sword user after all so…

Rezald: He is actually a sword user.

Taln: Hmm… is that so? Could it be that you have been using that golden sword from before?

Taln said questioningly as she gazed at Nelus.

Rezald: (I was talking about his mana weapon… well… I had seen him use it a few times.)

Nelus: Yes.

Nelus said honestly as there was no need to hide it anymore, Ciall had told him that it seems like his existence as a God is spreading especially the with the influence of Folia who was now traveling with Lexa. So eventually, his name will reach other lands at some point.

Taln: You’re a being of divinity right? How can you use a metallic weapon?

Nelus: You will know eventually.

Nelus said towards Taln as she becomes even more confused.

Altea: So… will you join the tournament?

Nelus: Is there a reason you want me to join?

Altea then hesitated before speaking as se clenched her fist, she then decided to tell Nelus everything as Taln looks at her will worried eyes.

Altea: You see… I wasn’t supposed to be a swordmaster… or should I say… I didn’t plan to become one…

Altea said with downcast eyes as she had a sudden flash of hatred appeared on her eyes…

Altea: My sister was a swordmaster… she was a bit older than me… she was an X rank swordmaster… her title was “Gleaming Wing Swordmaster” I really look up to her… then years before… the tournament came… she entered it and managed to get to battle the grand swordmaster. You see, the current grand swordmaster, Keltis, a beast dragon whom was a mix blood of a beastman and a dragon in which had a humanoid form, wasn’t interested in dragons… when he saw my sister… he fell in love with her. After defeating her, he tried to propose to her as he thought she wouldn’t refuse as most of the female swordmaster had him in their eyes. She rejected him in which fury rose… when the next tournament came… he became ruthless… until… my sister died… I swore that I would steal his title but… I noticed that I am unable to break through my rank…

Altea then couldn’t control the tears from flowing out as Yora had a downcast face as he muttered…

Yora: Master… so you had gone through this much pain…

Taln then walked towards her and wiped her tears.

Nelus: (I sense that within you there is something blocking your pure energy from flowing properly so it is expected that you cannot ascend as long as this illness is within you that causes your energy become dull.) Altea.

Taln and Altea were startled as it was the first time Nelus called her name

Nelus: I will join the tournament.

Altea then became wide eyed as she then bowed in gratitude, Nelus then walked towards Altea and grabbed her hand as she became shocked at Nelus’ sudden action as well as flustered as her cheeks redden. She was then astonished… a warm light pervaded her whole body… it was Nelus’ newest skill Cure Pulse as it then pushes out the impure energy stuck in Altea’s body as it was then realeased from her body.

Altea: H-how… not even the great doctors in the land of earth can cure this illness… how could…

Altea said as she then looked at Nelus in amazement… she was aware of her incurable illness since she was still a child that will prevent her from improving a certain point. It was already a miracle that she had reached the peak of S rank and when she learned that her body has reached the limit she felt bitter as if the world was against her. Now that her illness is gone she felt so free.

Taln: Altea?

Altea: Taln! M-my energy… look!!

Altea released her pure energy as Taln became surprised, she then smiled whole heartedly as she congratulated Altea while thanking Nelus. Taln and Altea were very close friend so seeing her recovery, made her very happy.

Tania: As expected of father.

Tania said as she noticed what happened because of her draconic eyes in which can see the energy around her.

Altea: We should celebrate!

Altea said as we head back at the inn and bought food and drinks for Nelus and the others. While celebrating, she often sneaks glances at Nelus as a faint pink was on her face. She felt that she owe Nelus too much. Once can say that to a swordmaster, one’s power is one’s romance.

To them, their swords and strength were their life so when Nelus made it possible for her to improve it made her aware of his presence but this was not the only reason she acted this way, when Nelus grabbed her hand in which only held a sword, she felt her heart tremble… As nighttime came they went back to their rooms and once everyone was asleep someone entered the room… it was once again, Lina and Tania.

They laid near Nelus and slept on his chest… then another figure appeared… it was Altea… she then thought Nelus was asleep and laid down besides him. She then grabbed his arm and squeezed it to her body as her face becomes flushed. She then looks at Nelus and when she saw Nelus directly looking at her she became startled.

Altea: Wahh!... U-uhm… I can explain you see…

Suddenly, a sudden chill permeated her body as it couldn’t help but tremble… she then look at the direction from where it came from and notice that it was emanating from Lina whom was sleeping innocently with a smile on her face.

Llyra: (…Even if I am not forcing Nebulus to love me or to take me as his wife immediately that doesn’t mean I would let my man get taken… War God’s Pressure)

Llyra said while glaring at Altea from within her soul. Lina then rolled on Nelus chest and landed in between Altea as she felt a strong intangible force push her away. She then looked dumbfounded as she stood up.

Nelus: What brings you here?

Altea: A-ahem… well… you see… I am interested in you Nelus!

Altea then becomes embarrassed as she isn’t used to men and wasn’t particularly attracted to them so she didn’t know what to do with her current feelings and thus followed her instincts leading to her current actions.

Calice said with a wary voice as she was used to women infatuated to Nelus… some stronger than others but most of them fade over time seeing that Nelus isn’t quite interested in them. Cases like Cheil can happen but at bmost it is one in a million. Taln was actually one of the ones infatuated by Nelus but recently, it seems she isn’t as interested in Nelus romantically as she used to, right now she is only interested in his strength. As for Raldine and Reila, they are timid and bashful types so they won’t openly be aggressive in seeking Nelus.

Altea: So… Nelus…

Altea then felt a sudden dread but suppressed it as she awaits Nelus’ answer.

Nelus: As for me I am interested in books and the world as well as...

Nelus said as he then glances at Lina as Altea had a wry smile, it took her so much courage to do what she had done but if this was the result then it can’t be helped. She then returned to her room. On the next day…

Rezald: A bit later I will return to Uire… too bad… I want to see Bro Nelus fight but… I still am a teacher after all so it can’t be helped…

Rezald said as he inwardly sigher, Yora then became depressed and said.

Yora: You’re going back already…?

Rezlad: Yes… but you can visit me sometimes! You can ask for my name in Lux Academy, why don’t you bring Mosie and Nillie next time?

Yora: Alright!

Yora said as he smiled. Rezald then heads of a bit with Tania behind him as they went away. After a while Tania returned as they then continued the day and waited for the tournament to come… as a day pass by quickly, they rhen had gone to the coliseum to register Nelus…

???: Ah! Its you guys again... uhm… where is Lord Rezald?

Aster the tournament, everyone became full of worship towards Rezald as to becoming a swordmaster as well as beign Genbalt’s champion. Right now, all of those living in the land of earth and domain of sky looks up to him as in a span of a day, the news spread like a plague with the help of beings from the sky domain spreading it.

Nelus: He has returned.

???: May I ask who you are?

The man said as he wasn’t overly familiar with Nelus.

Altea: We would like to register him in my name; he is the teacher of Rezald.

The man then became wide eyed… Rezald, who became celebrity overtime in the land of earth and sky domain, was sought after, despite his inability to mostly do so, to teach them. Most of those in the land of earth cannot use mana so most of those who seek Rezald were the humans living here.  Now his teacher appeared so suddenly. The man then became courteous and said to Nelus to register in the crystal.

Seeing is title, the man in his thought felt the title fitting as they went back and waited for the tournament to start. After a while, they all signal them to return as it was the start. After a few intense battles, the ones anticipated were Nelus, Taln and Altea’s fights as they quickly overcame the others. Before the semifinals which has decided that Taln and Altea were to fight, someone appeared on the VIP seat in the coliseum… it was Keltis… the grand swordmaster as he looked at all of them with disdain and arrogance.

Altea: Keltis!

Altea shouted as she gaze at him full of hatred as he snorted Keltis was tall with a height of 2.3 meters. He had brown hair and piercing yellow eyes.

Keltis: How is your sister? Will you join her or will you take her place and become mine, after all someone who cannot improve anymore is useless What swordmasters desire most is improvement.

Keltis said while mocking Altea with Keltis looking at her as if she was property that he can obtain at anytime.

Altea: You… YOU, I’ll kill you!!!

Taln: Calm down Altea…

Taln said as she glares at Keltis in which he just laughed.

Keltis: Hahh… all of you here are just trash, compared to me your existences as worthless… Altea then trembled in anger as tears started to form on the corner of her eyes.

Lina: I don’t like bad man…

Lina said as she looks at Keltis and hid behind Nelus.

Tania: Lina, he is just trash pay him no mind.

As Keltis had extremely strong hearing he saw Tania as his heart trembled… she was an extremely beautiful humanoid dragon, he then flew towards Tania with lust in his eyes and grabbed her wrist.

Keltis: Be honored you are mine.

The announcer frowned at Keltis actions of disrupting the tournament but there is nothing he could do towards such powerful individual. As Keltis was going to kiss her, Tania still had her ice cold look which attracted Keltis even more. As he drew close an explosive sound occurred… everyone was dead silent towards what just happened… in one punch… Keltis laid on the ground unmoving while Tania returned to her seat… after five minutes, Keltis regained consciousness and anger filled him, he lunges towards Tania as Nelus blocks him.

Keltis: Get out of my way!!

Keltis then drew his sword as Nelus used a light type enhancement spell on his hand called, Lux Aura. As Keltis attacks Nelus with his sword everyone shouted in worry as the one attacking was after all a grand swordmaster. Tania who was watching sighed.

Altea and Taln: Nelus!!

Both of them shouted in urgency as a clang sound can be heard as if two metals collide… Everyone gasped with disbelief… Nelus stopped the sword with his hand effortlessly using two fingers which consist of his thumb and pointer finger… Keltis then tries to break free as he stares at Nelus with a surprised expression…

Keltis: You…

Keltis glared at him as he felt a sense of dread as Nelus solemnly looks at Keltis.

Nelus: If you really want to draw your sword and fight then wait your turn.

Nelus said as Keltis becomes infuriated…
