Chapter 65.5 – God King of Truth

Shagas’ POV

I remember when I first met my wife Neala, at that time I was still a God and I visited a certain Pantheon… it was the 147th Pantheon when I was trying to find a clan to join, I saw that every God King was being surrounded by Gods who wanted to join. As I look around I saw a God King’s corner which was instead being avoided by the Gods… I was confused at what was the reason as suddenly someone approached me, it was a God of Health name Zade… he was extremely handsome as the female Gods kept glancing at him.

Zade: What’s your name? My name is Zade.

Shagas: I’m Shagas, why did you call me all of a sudden?

Zade: you were curious about that corner of this Pantheon right?

Shagas: Yes… why are they avoiding it?

Shagas said with confusion on his face as Zade laughed.

Zade: You’ll see in just a bit… “she” will come back.

Shagas: “She”?

Zade: Oh? Look there, she’s back, God King Neala, one of the youngest God King in history who was admired by many Gods… at least in the past.

Shagas: So beautiful…

I then saw a woman with platinum hair, pearly white skin and delicate stature, she was the embodiment of the woman of my dreams. I thought as I unconsciously blushed, not noticing the fearful gazes of those around me.

Zade: That is the reason why nobody would approach it, it was because of her.

Shagas then snapped out of his gaze as he questioned Zade.

Shagas: Why would they be afraid of such a beautiful God King?

Zade: I’ll tell you a story… she is the God King of War, Neala, they say when she was still a God she was a member of the clan in the 87th Pantheon but she was immediately forced out.

Hearing Zades words Shagas became extremely curious with a dubious look.

Shagas: Why would they chase her out?

Zade: It was because of her extremely violent nature… they say that if a God displease her, even the God King she was under she would duel them, each clan she joined she defeated the God King thus spreading the word about her and preventing her to join more clans. Luckily, because of her good insight on souls she managed to find a Godly soul which made her a God King almost immediately.

Shagas: You mean a soul with a potential to reach the realm of a God?

Shagas said with disbelief as a Godly soul was extremely rare to the point that the ones that were found throughout history was not even a hundred or even less than that more so of finding one in a common world. The chances are nearly impossible… or should I say truly impossible. Normally, the common world has existences that never go beyond C rank so an X rank soul was impossible then, how did it happen?

Zade: It was because of an otherworldly being… dying of exhaustion in the common world because it has overestimated its power.

Shagas: W-what?

I stared blankly at Zade… usually a otherworldly being can only travel worlds but only within the Pantheon of the Gods it was born but to be so powerful to be able to go through the Pantheon as well as die at the moment where Neala was scouting was truly a miracle beyond belief.

Zade: So when she established a clan almost everyone swarmed towards her to join, only to leave in the end.

Shagas: Eh? Why would they leave?

Zade’s face becomes pale as he said.

Zade: Do you think someone who was still a God and manages to beat God Kings who became even stronger when she herself became a God King more so of her violent nature?

Shagas: So there is no one in her clan right now?

Zade: Yeah… so its better to avoid.

Shagas: I want to join.

Zade was shocked as he couldn’t comprehend Shagas’ sudden answer as he becomes frantic.

Zade: Its too dangerous!

Shagas: I still want to join!

Seeing Shagas’ resolute face he couldn’t deny him any more as he smiled wryly, he then thought that this fellow in front of him was extremely interesting.

Zade: Then I’ll join too…

Shagas: But didn’t you say…

Zade: I just can’t leave a friend alone when he is in danger.

Shagas: Eh? Friend?

Shagas became wide eyed at Zade’s sudden declaration as Zade grinned.

Zade: What? You don’t want to become friends?

Shagas: Ah! I do!

Zade: Then lets go and join!

Even with Zade’s cheerful tone he couldn’t hide his trembling as he was still afraid… really… to join her clan just because he’s worried what a strange guy… I thought as I chuckled to myself.

Zade: I want to join!

Shagas: I want to join!

We both said as suddenly… we were blown away with a punch from her as everyone looked at us with worry as well as fear for the one who punched us… God King Neala.

Neala: This isn’t a place for weaklings like you.

Neala said while glaring at us with her beautiful blue eyes as my brown eyes interlocks with hers as I become flustered… while groaning in pain on the ground. I then said with determination…

Shagas: Still, I want to join!

Zade: What he said!

Zade said while almost puking because of the heavy hit on his stomach. Afterwards everyone became wide eyed as Neala suddenly smiled unlike her usual expressionless face.

Neala: Then I welcome you to my clan.

She said with her clear and beautiful voice that pierced my heart. Seeing her like that immediately caught everyone’s attention and approached her to join with either admiration or lust as their intention only to be met with a punch much harder than ours as they laid unconscious.

Neala: Are you sure you want to join? You will be facing my punch everyday if you join.

She said while glaring at everybody as everybody backs out as Zade’s face lost all of its colors while I looked at her with admiration. Ever since then we were under her brutal care. Even so I was satisfied to be with her, following her orders, talking with and meeting her punch until we became quite close as I learned many things about her… after a large amount of years went by…

Shagas: Lord Neala… will you marry me!

Neala: No.

Shagas: Please! I’ll do anything!!

As I said that she suddenly punched me as I went flying.

Neala: If one day you can withstand my full power punch then I will marry you.

Zade who overheard us looked at me with pity as I said.

Shagas: Then it’s a promise!

Neala who thought I would decline was astonished as Zade’s became frantic as he returned to his realm immediately. A day has passed and Zade approached me.

Zade: Shagas, I heard your conversation from yesterday… are you crazy!!??

Shagas: Yes, I am seriously crazy for her…

Zade: Hahh… then here!! Its not like I am worried about you hmph!

Zade said as he handed a legend grade potion to me.

Shagas: Zade what is this?

Zade: That punch of hers will surely pack a wallop so if you’re in danger then drink this… I mean her punch has defeated the God Kings leaving them injured but now that she is a God King, a God like you will not stand a chance!

Shagas: Even so I want to try… I’ll train myself and ask a partial governance at another clan…

Zade: To even go as far as partial governance… fine I’ll go with you.

Shagas: You don’t have to…

Zade: Its fine… I can’t just keep getting knocked out of consciousness from her punches.

Shagas: Well if you say so…

A partial governance is to govern a world with other Gods on other clans. Those who do partial governance are looked down on as they are mostly comprised of Gods who wasn’t accepted in a clan no matter what and formed a group and tried to get a world of their own to raise their status in hopes to be accepted to a clan or become God King but the chances are really low as normally they are given a low class world to govern.

Shagas: Oh! Look there is an open world… can we have the right to govern it?

???: Sure, thing!

Shagas: Here is an artifact to exchange for the right.

???: No need it is already paid for.

Zade: (A high class world and also it has been paid for… how suspicious…)

As Zade was going to stop Shagas, he saw a figure with platinum hair hide herself and walked away. He then smiled wryly… and thought… maybe she is nicer than I thought. As for Shagas, he too was suspicious but he still wanted to take the risk so he accepted… after a very long time not only was Shagas able to reach God King but also Zade. They both rejoiced as Zade patted his shoulder as they both grinned. Shagas then returned to their Pantheon with Neala appearing with her arms crossed.

Neala: Are you ready?

Shagas: Yes!

Neala then rushed over and punched me as I used every defensive skill I learned… as I grinned that I was holding myself well… I was pushed back…

Shagas: Hahh…

Neala: You did well. There is always another time.

Shagas: I guess I’m not a worthy God to marry for someone like you huh…

Neala: You are worthy and also someone I deeply love… what am I saying?

Neala said as he cheeks became crimson as did Shagas… she didn’t know that recently Shagas learned a unique skill called “Absolute Truth” which no matter how much you try to tell a lie once you are in the presence of the holder you will always tell the truth and if the holder asks a question the one it is directed at will unconditionally answer their question. It was a skill only he has and no other. Hearing Neala’s answer he rejoiced as Neala said…

Neala: I wanted to marry you for a long time but I didn’t have the cour…

Shagas: Punch me again…

Neala: What?

Shagas: Punch me again with all you can.

Shagas said with determination as Neala look at him dumbfounded but seeing his expression, she used the punch she used just moments ago with all her might. Once it made contact with Shagas, he gritted his teeth and used all of his defensive skills again… as the punch stopped Shagas was still in his initial position.

Shagas: I did… it…

Shagas said as he fell unconscious with a smile on his face as Neala immediately grabs and hugs him.

Neala: Hahh… quite reckless… I guess I’ll need to protect you from now on huh.

Then a snapping sound was heard… it was Zade who was watching around the corner. Suddenly the potion he gave Shagas lit up and shattered as its contents was absorbed by Shagas as he then wakes up and Zade walks away.

Zade: I guess he is the first one to marry… you’ll see… I’ll find someone that I will love someday.

Afterwards it was our wedding… only Zade and both of our families attended but we were happy… we became a married couple as Zade congratulated us. He really is a good friend… maybe I should find a partner for him… well I guess with a personality and looks like his he could easily find someone some day.

We cherished our times together. At some point I even got used to her punches as I easily withstand it as I then kissed her as my reward, its so cute how flustered she becomes each time of course if she used a skill even I couldn’t withstand it even with my top grade defense. At some point we even managed to get a beautiful daughter… we named her Llyra which was from the word in the world I govern meaning “pure white”.

I even manage to land myself a high position from the God Emperor which introduced him to someone… his name was Nebulus… he had brown hair and red eyes. He was smiling at me gently while holding the God Emeror’s hand… who is this child… I was astonished to learn that he was born a God King… that was our first meeting. Who knew he will become someone who will become a big part of our lives…

As our daughter grew I was getting worried but my wife Neala said let her be as even if she didn’t have friends once she did it will be much significant like when we were younger and to trust our daughter. And to my surprise she got a friend! But even more shocking was that it was the quiet gentle child from before, Nebulus. They said that he has a clan but isn’t interested in members as it will only decrease his reading time. Well if my daughter is happy then its okay.

One day I noticed that our daughter is acting strangely… I then learned that her friend was a man! And she is in love with him… what do I do… I then consulted with Neala.

Neala: Isn’t it fine? If our daughter is the one who chose him he surely is a good man.

Shagas: I guess…

So I decided to help her a bit and succeeded, they became a couple and after some time has passed, married. I was truly happy for her until… at that time Nebulus was in a meeting and our daughter was heading back to my realm as she visits me from time to time… I then felt that something was wrong as did Neala… we immediately tried to find her aura and when we got there… we found Nebulus… all by himself… his expression became cold unlike his usual gentle appearance… his eyes became purple and his hair white. My heartbeat became violent as I felt something was wrong… very wrong… I then saw from afar there was a few bodies… being eaten away by something… they were being devoured by the darkness… I then saw a tattoo from each of their arms… it was the rumored tattoo of the “Black Circle” I became dizzy as I hesitated but still asked Nebulus.

Shagas: Nebulus where is Llyra?

Nebulus: Is that my name? Lly… ra… who is she?

As he said those words… he started crying… more and more tears fell as he screamed in agony… he question why he was so sad… he didn’t know the source of his deep pain and worse of all he wasn’t lying… he had lost all of his memories… his emotions… except when he hear the name of my daughter “Llyra” which just causes him extreme sadness… I felt pain on my chest as Neala trembled… she released a pressure so strong that Nebulus lost his consciousness as mine was slowly fading… but I sensed it was coming so I immediately braced myself. Suddenly… a light emanated from Nebulus…

???: Please… look… after… him… my… love… Nebulus…

It was my precious daughter… Llyra’s voice filled with sadness but most of all affection… I sensed that her soul was indeed inside Nebulus as well as something binding her… preventing her soul to be free… it was the forbidden “Soul Chain Curse”… it prevents the soul to be usable as well to be able to be reincarnated… pain welled up on my chest at the thought of not seeing my daughter again… me and Neala… cried… then the light wrapped around us as if comforting us…

???: Don’t… be… sad… I’ll… be… fine…

As she said that the light disappears as I hugged Neala… ever since then those who knew Nebulus thought to watch from afar as it seems the longer we stay with him the more he remembers the agony of that day… especially when he sees my wife Neala which closely resembles her… so we had no choice but to observe and watch over him from afar… we will take care of him as I promised my daughter. Zade said that he too will help him by teaching him the basics so ever since then he sometimes visit Nebulus if he has a free time as it seems he opened a shop in the main pantheon so at present he is usually very busy.

Hahh… don’t worry my precious daughter Llyra… I’ll watch over this son-in-law of mine and once he is healed somehow maybe I can tell him about everything one day as he is still family but right now our existences are still painful for him so right now I can’t get too close to him but I believe that a time where we can talk like before will come hopefully then I can remind him of the precious daughter of mine in which we both deeply love one day.
