Chapter 62 – Invasion

After feeling a massive amount of presence outside everyone started falling one by one… it was a . Suddenly… a group enters the building… there are 10 Daes in their ominous forms with black eyes, jet black wings and a pair of horns. As they look at me they snickered as I have been slightly affected by the . So there really isn’t just one Dae… there are more of them… outside the academy there seems to be 10,000 of them with powers that equals an X rank but they felt very unstable as if they were going to blow up at any moment as their bodies cannot hold its power… don’t tell me they plan on a mass bombing here…

5 Daes were headed towards my way as 4 headed towards Rezald as they saw him as quite the threat for killing one of them before. As the five charge their power as dark rings appeared from their mouths I immediately used Restore as the paralysis was gone. As the Daes finishes charging they released 5 beams all together headed towards me. Behind me were my students either kneeling or sitting on the floor because of the paralysis. Their face went pale at the suddenness of all these happenings. I decided to used because of its destructive properties to push back the attack. Flames appeared from the surroundings, moving towards the center which was Nelus. Nelus’ eyes became red as the flames danced on his body as it slithers towards his arm and forms a glove like shape… its form was unlike before, the fire covering his hand gave off a feeling that it was alive… it looked like veins with crimson blood flowing through it responding to Nelus’ fury.

My students felt that each beam equaled an S rank spell at its peak so they thought it was over when suddenly… they felt a weird suction coming from Nelus hand. As some of the beams were too far off he punched two of them while absorbing three. He couldn’t release all of its power because of all the people surrounding him. So he used Spatial Magic to teleport near two Dae’s in which he grabs each of their faces with his flame clad hands as a steaming sound came from where their faces were as it started to melt. Screams of agony could be heard as he releases the stored up energy on his hands blowing their heads, clean off as blood didn’t even come out.

Seeing this Kawt was astonished… his power was truly something to be feared. Those who were seeing this had mixed emotions. Those from Lux academy were inwardly cheering while those from Nox academy couldn’t comprehend what was happening. As for the four headed towards Rezald, he grinned fearlessly as something glowed within his pocket… it was the crystal I gave him before when we were facing off Halvard… it still had some of my magic within it. Restore was a magic that heals the mind but because of how strong my magic is it has an additional effect of healing abnormalities to the body, of course it depends if what class that abnormality is as if it were too high then my magic couldn’t heal it. Luckily it was a “Zone” magic which can affect all beings within a certain range, the more people it affected the lesser effect it has on each person.

Rezald instantly summoned Lasteon as his green eyes glowed like emerald as he smashes the blunt back of Lasteon towards the ground elimination one of them as a large spike made of condense earth appeared on the ground. As for Nelus, he then punches through the 3 that was left as they fell with a thud towards the ground with a huge hole on their chest. As one of Dae headed towards the other students from Lux academy, I immediately dashed after him grabbing his horn while igniting my Element equip turning him to charcoal.

Rezald then tries to finish up with the last three while piercing only two… one was headed to Caeka. Caeka trembles at the monster that was coming towards her. She closes her eyes as Dae roared while his open mouth was mere inches away from Caekas head before a clank sound emanated… Caeka opens her eyes as she went pale… the monster’s face was very near to hers almost biting her head off… what made it stop? She asked herself, she rolled her eyes towards the direction of where the object obstructing its mouth was… it was Rezald with his yellow eyes which was glowing a golden like aura.

It made her skip a beat… for only a little while as her heart beat was actually very fast because of the imminent death that she thought was coming. Rezald roared as he forcibly pushes back Dae as both of his eyes glowed this time. He smashes the blunt tip of the Spear towards the ground as a fist size ball of condense earth went out from the ground as Rezald smashes the spear’s sharp blade towards it as it shatters to a dozen pieces all piercing Dae. He then used the crystal on Caeka to free her as she went and hug Rezald as she was very scared. He then told her to use the crystal to free the others in which she nodded.

While all of this was happening inside the coliseum Nelus was actually, already outside the academy with countless Dae’s coming at him. He had already killed more than 200 of them but it wasn’t enough as there was more coming from all directions. Outside the academy was a forest… the sight before was very beautiful but because of there battle it slowly becomes a wasteland with all magical beasts fleeing the place. 2 Daes were headed towards him with great speed as they thrust their horns towards him. Nelus immediately casts as flames gathered on his palm forming a spherical shape becoming bigger and bigger as he then threw it, disintegrating not only the two but also the dozens behind them.

Nelus then used on the ones around him… “Zero” is a rare type of ice magic as most ice magic has either ice or frost on their spells. As for Frei it was “Glacier which is also rare but the most powerful of ice magic was “Zero” Nelus already knew this magic like from the other ones but didn’t know why. Usually he holds back its power as it equals a Y rank ice magic, he mostly uses amount enough to equal an S rank, today he used a little bit more power equaling X rank. Ice started to appear as he converted mana… dozens were already frozen and shattered but it wasn’t the actual attack! The ice started swirling forming a tornado of ice getting smaller and smaller until… it vanished… a gust of wind was blowing from Nelus… one by one at an extremely fast rate Daes kept becoming frozen as they fell and shattered equaling to more than 500 of them.

was one of the few Y rank spells he can handle even if he was in his lower Y rank. Unlike his Y rank elemental equips like and spells of such rank are harder to control even with Nelus’ inborn God like control. Ice spells are quite simple compared to lightning spells and fire spells so he mostly didn’t use them like the one he used on Domun from before as he might risk on killing everyone including those important to him. Nelus then felt that something was off… they were all smiling eerily despite their disadvantage… some of them were even laughing… it can’t be… they were just stalling me… I suddenly felt that some of my links were in danger…

I immediately flew off towards Uire as thousands came blocking… I kept destroying one after the other but I was running out of time! I grit my teeth as I release as large scale lightning magic as lightning went from one Dae to another and entered him killing more and more as if a branch made of lightning was spreading… it was the spell . Still there were too many of them as suddenly… a muscular man appeared in front of me as he grabs two Dae’s neck. His muscle bulges as their neck went pop as it was crushed by his strength… it seems Rezald managed to free some of them from paralysis as the weaker the body the more affected they are from Zone type magic so all he could do was use it on those he can and have them protect everyone.

Andros: Nelus, do you need me and my muscles help?

???: Don’t forget some of us teachers!

???: Yeah!

Raldine: Nelus we’ll hold them back for you!

Rezald: Bro Nelus were here! Will stall them for you, hurry and go!

Nelus: Alright, I leave them to you.

As I was going to leave someone stops me… it wasn’t Dae but Cheil.

Cheil: Let me come with you…

Nelus: No…

Cheil: You must… I feel that it would be better.

Nelus: Better how?

Cheil: You won’t know unless you bring me wouldn’t you?

Nelus: … Hahh…

Nelus then lift her with him using spatial magic as they flew off with extreme speed as they were headed towards Uire. Once they got there it seems Frei and Fala were fighting them… there are tens of thousands around Uire too…

Frei: Lord Nelus! Please go to the palace quickly! Ciall and the others are… kuhh!!

Frei shouted as some of the Dae attacked him with their claws. Fala then follows up with her magic and freezes them. As she lets out a sigh of relief, dozens of Dae headed her way with their horns clad in darkness… Fala took a step back and panicked… seeing Fala like this Frei snapped… he normally didn’t want to return to his complete beast form as his magical beast aura was leaking out. He was afraid at the thought that they would shun him because he is different. Of course Nelus and the others wouldn’t but they once tried to interact with others only to end up being attack. Starting then he became quite cautious of others, unconsciously hiding his powers. Right now there was no time to think. Even if the Daes was just a semi X ranks or X ranks that didn’t go through ascencion they were still far too much for Fala to handle.

Unlike before at the time they were being controlled by Halvard or at the tournament, his current beast form was truly more majestic and monstrous giving off an aura that towers over magical beasts. He became a wolf which was at least 8 meters tall with fangs of gold and fur of silver. His eyes became like that of platinum while spikes of ice appeared on his back. He glared at the Daes as all of them shuddered. He then howled that reverberated throughout the area as the vibrations heavily shook the ground. Fala was looking at him while her face became flushed with her heart beating at a fast rate. Frei appeared in between Dae and Fala as he looks back at Fala with his platinum eyes before charging towards Dae making Fala squeal…

Fala: Kyyaaaa!!! So cool!! My husband is so cool!!! Ehehehe…

Fala giggled as Frei rushed toward them… they then felt a cold line appearing on dozens of Daes as their heads slipped off their bodies… Frei used Glacial Cut with the protruding spikes of ice on his back as his weapons… his mana was being used up at a tremendous rate so he signaled Nelus to go to the palace. Nelus then headed with Cheil towards the palace as they saw thousands of Daes.

Dae: Nelus… good of you too show but its too late!

Dae: Yeah! All we need is my beloved Zala’s corpse and we can recreate her as our magnificent doll…

Dae: Why not make all of her family a doll so that she wouldn’t be lonely?

Dae: Ohh! Great idea, why don’t we start with her… hehehe!

???: Uncle!!

Nelus: Lina…

As his claw was headed towards her neck it felt as if time stopped… everything became black around Nelus… fury was invading his heart…

???: Use me…

Nelus: I’d rather not…

???: What…?

The voice was shocked at his calm answer as he then resolved himself…

Nelus: I need to finish this up quick before someone notices…

Nelus then used as his eyes became yellow… lightning immediately gathered within a second as a mist like a coiling dragon appeared on Nelus’ arm forming a glove like shape… lightning converges making it look more solid than before as his cloud clad hands has three blades of lightning appear…  he then used elemental equip… lightning solidifies around him creating a veil made of lightning as well as a cloth like form covering his mouth… lightning courses throughout his body making the upper half of his body a chain mail like form. On his lower half was like a waist cape and pants like form with chains of lightning dangling from each side. He looked like an assassin unlike his fire element armor which made him look like a king towards war.

He then disappeared leaving lightning tracks behind him electrifying all the Dae’s around him. He then reaches the Dae holding Lina as he uses his claw blades of lightning to stop Dae’s claws from piercing Lina. Cheil was looking at Nelus as if she knew that he was hiding his power still she was slightly astonished at his sudden burst of power… little did she know that his power temporarily exceeded of an X rank because he lost control of maintaining his power so he decided to finish fast. As the two claws collide… Dae was dumbfounded… Nelus claw blades not only pierced his claw but also pierced his body… and it didn’t end there… because of its power a piercing wave of lightning was formed from Nelus’ swing. It then passed through one Dae after the other which only seems to grow killing an amount of more than 5,000 Dae’s. Seeing this all of them decided to flee…

Nelus then disappeared leaving a cloud of lightning from where he initially was appearing on the air… he then condenses the lightning on his palm forming a huge needle… he then crushed it and swings his arm towards all directions releasing a rain of towards all directions hitting Dae’s vitals accurately due to the lightning properties of his armor. If the fire element armor exceeds it in tyrannical strength as well as its destructive force, for the lightning element armor its Godly speed as well as otherworldly precision. All of the Dae’s left were then killed as he releases his element armor.

Once he landed… he saw Lina holding a dagger and tries to pierce herself as Cheil manages to stop her with her hand only for the dagger to pass through Cheil’s hand. Even so it managed to stop Lina from killing herself… behind them was Halvard… as I was going to kill Halvard Cheil stops me…

Cheil: Don’t kill him… he used an X rank Luminant race spell that is forbidden to use. It is more like a curse… the target wouldn’t stop until it fulfills the user’s orders even after death… only he can stop it…

Nelus: (Calice can you free her?)

Calice: (No… what she said was true… it is unlike that of what I had seen so far… it is a magic that turns the user temporarily vulnerable to death in exchange for the magic he used… he would become vulnerable as long as the magic is active… at the same time we can’t kill him if only he can release it… what should we do…)

Cheil: I came as you have told… what should we do?

???: This man… is being controlled by his grief…

Nelus: It is you…

A familiar red figure appeared in front of Nelus… it was the Red Spirit…

Red Spirit: I felt a disturbance so I came here… it was because of those monsters with dark mana inside them.

Nelus: Dark mana?

Red Spirit: Corrupted raw mana… I don’t know how it manifested itself inside them as well as why they hold it within them. Release the child Luminant king.

Halvard: I can’t… he said that he will revive her…

Red Spirit: Who said it?

Halvard: My God Dae…

Red Spirit: He is no God… he is your son… and he has fooled you… after all of these he planned to revive your wife, Raan with necromancy… which is forbidden as it will only make her an undead…

Halvard: I don’t believe you! Wait… I didn’t say… how did you know my wife’s name? Even I haven’t told my wife’s name to my children and my servants only know her last name… so how?

Red Spirit: Because she is here with me… I heard her cries and I decided to help her…

What appeared was a white sphere on her palm… it was a soul…

???: My dear…

Halvard: It can’t be… no! It shouldn’t be possible!

Raan: It is me Raan… I have decided to use the last of my power to speak with you… this is the only chance…

Halvard: I-I can’t believe…

Raan: You have a crescent moon shape birthmark on your butt which only I know of. Also remember the time you picked that black silk underwear for me? You were so embarrassed in which I called you cute and suddenly, you pushed me down on the bed urging me to wear…

Halvard: W-wait stop! Stop! You could’ve just said that I had a crescent moon shape birth mark and don’t tell such things in front of Cheil it was our sec… ret… wait… this attitude as well as our secret… Raan… its… you… Raan… my beloved… Raan…

Halvard cried as Cheil looked at him with the knife still piercing her hand trying to use the pain to forget what her mother had said as Raan giggled.

Raan: I told you…

Raan’s voice then had a sad tone in it as she said…

Raan: Dae is indeed our son…

Halvard: I see…

Raan: Our dead son…

Halvard: What!? What do you mean dead?

Raan: You had your memories wiped I see… before I was killed after giving birth to Roy I heard someone saying…

???: “So you managed to implant the Cumir Poison within her… to bad for her child that child will also be dead after minutes… luckily this poison is near legendary level so they won’t be noticed by that luminant king and will only see it as a failed childbirth because of her divinity being sucked out because of her vulnerable state.”

???: “Yes and it seems I had been found by this boy… what should we do to him?”

???: “Kill him and use him for our experiments… I bet we’ll have fun reconstructing his brain… hahahaha!”

???: “Mother! Let go of me, mother is becoming pale! Mo… ther… “

Raan: He… he was killed in front of me during my final moments…

Raan said in a choking voice as Halvard had fury in his eyes… he couldn’t bear hearing Raan… his lovely and cheerful wife being like this… he then asked…

Halvard: Who killed you?

Raan: I don’t know… my eyes wear too heavy and all I could see was a blur…

Halvard: I see…

Raan: Shouldn’t you free that little girl?

Halvard: Ah! Release thy spell!

Halvard looks towards Lina’s direction as it wasn’t Cheil who was holding Lina’s hand with a dagger, it was Nelus in which who healed Cheil’s hand moments ago… Halvard releases Lina as Lina then hugs Nelus…

Halvard: Poison… but Roy is still alive…

Raan: Roy is alive…?

Even if Raan was still a soul Halvard still felt that she was crying… he then said…

Halvard: You should meet him! He is…

Raan: I… can’t…

Halvard: Wh-why?

Raan: This is my last chance in talking to you… I am losing my power… all I can say is… please take care of our children and also Cheil?

Cheil: What is it mother?

Raan: You had inherited my aptitude for my dark flames… use it wisely and do not let it become known by the beings of darkness as they will target your life… only reveal it once you are strong enough.

Cheil: Is that why you have the red spirit come with Nelus?

Raan: That and to tell you good luck! As for you Nelus I hope you take care of our beloved daughter…

Halvard: No! I won’t let him have my daughter! Ow… ow-ow-oww!

Halvard said as Cheil approached him as she pulled his ears as Raan giggled.

Raan: Lastly… I love you… and… Red Spirit… thank you for… giving… me… this… chan… ce…

Halvard: Raan!!

Halvard shouted as the soul was carried of by the wind…

Red Spirit: It seems this is farewell for now…

Nelus: Why are you helping us?

Red Spirit: Of course I will help because I want to…

She said as she disappears…

Genbalt’s POV

Genbalt: Huh… this sudden wave of power… I need to cover it up quickly! I hope nobody noticed it… hahh… Nebulus… how reckless… good thing it didn’t reach the other God’s realm… it only spread up to the border of the land of light.

Genbalt sighed…

Genbalt: When are you going to tell me!? Good thing I can see through Rezald it seems he had been having quite the fun… gahh! I’m so envious!!

???: “Observer” here…

???: Oh? What is it that you need to tell me that you needed to call me this early? You were supposing to report 5 months later.

???: I was at the land of light… I felt it… a Y rank power…

???: Excellent… then we shall proceed with our plans… hahahahaha!!!

???: Yes, Lord Esvil!

Esvil: Amazing… a Y rank being… I must get hands on it… that being will surely be useful to me…

Esvil Grinned as the man asked.

???: Uhm… where is Lord Mesira? All this time I haven’t met him…

Esvil: I am afraid that you will never meet him as he is quite the busy God King.

???: As expected of Lord Mesira.

Esvil: Anyways be careful to not let your power out.

???: Yes Lord Esvil.

We have reached the end of volume 3!

Hurray! :-D Tomorrow will be a special 0.5 chapter revealing a fragment of Nebulus' past I hope you look forwards to it! It will also be a part of the main story just to fill in some blanks as well as something to write to commemorate the finish of my third volume of my second fiction! As well as the start of volume 4!

Even if I’m tired I don’t know why but I really love to write! :-D
