Chapter 21 – Miracle

Mila: Lord Leo!!!!!

Crying loudly as  she looks at Jerald approaching Leo slowly.

Jerald: He’s alive…

Nelus: That’s great.

Reila: Lord Leo…

Teary eyed, Reila ran towards Leo side trying to use light magic to heal him.  

Leo: Ugghhh… !? Huh? Where am I... Nelus!!...  R-Reila… does that mean?

Nelus: Yes.

Leo asked as he was astonished to see them in front of him. I nodded in return while answering his vague question.

Leo: Does that mean I can finally?

Nelus: You can.

Leo: Reila!

Reila: Y-yes!?

Reila said, shocked at Leo's sudden outburst.

Leo: I am!!...

Nelus: He is your father.

Reila: E-eh!?

Mila: !??!?? Jerald!! Wake up!! Don’t sleep! This is important!!

Jerald: Uggh… stop shaking me…

Mila: …

Mila then whispered something into Jerald's ear making him flustered.

Jerald: Wh-what are you saying all of a sudden!?

Mila: I don’t know…

Mila grinned feigning ignorance.

Leo: Nelus! I wanted to be the one to say that!!

Jerald: L-lord Leo!!!

Nelus: Does it matter? It is fine saying it now right?

Leo: Nelus… you really are… well fine! I guess you can have the honor!

Leo sighed as he smiled wryly at the clueless man in front of him.

Nelus: ?

Reila: Wha-what do you mean?

Leo: I really am your father… years ago… when you were just 2 years old… something gain hold of me… a voice trying to corrupt me… and I tried to steal Atir’s spear which in turn he killed your mother… because of me!!!

Nelus: Reila… it is just like what happened to me moments before…

Reila: I see… Lord Leo… or should I say… fa… ther…

Leo: (She said it!! Hold down your tears!! Focus!! Or I’ll…)

Reila: It isn’t your fault… Lord Nelus was being controlled by the voice just a moment ago… I’m just glad that I still have someone as my family!

Leo: R-Reila… my precious daughter… I’m sorry for hiding it all this time…

Both of them had tears flowing from their eyes. Leo then staggers as he approaches Reila then hugs her tightly.

Reila: Its okay… you had a reason after all… and since ever before you have been watching over me.

Mila: Jerald...

Jerald: What is it Mila…

Mila: Lets have a daughter too someday!!

Jerald: M-Mila…

Suddenly Jerald holds Mila tightly as they look deeply into each other's eyes.

Reila: A-ahem…

Jerald: …

Jerald the releases Mila with an embarrassed  expression. Mila then approaches Reila and whispers mischievously...

Mila: Reila too… good luck with Nelus!

Reila: …

Leo: Nelus! Why don’t you marry my daughter.

Reila: F-father!!!

Nelus: I cannot… as there is a reason behind it… (A God cannot marry unless both partners understand the concept and I am still far from understanding it… I am no one… I am…)

Reila: I see… well things like this takes time after all… I can wait.

Leo: Its good to see everyone again! It has been so long…

Reila: What do you mean?

Leo: I have been trap in there for thousands of years… I lost count after a hundred thousand...

Nelus: I see… so the flow of time differs here from there… only a few days had passed here…

Frei: Greetings…

Leo: Oh! I haven’t met you before.

Frei: My name is Frei and this is Fala… we are Lord Nelus’ companions.

Reila: We met them at the mountain range… Lord Nelus save Fala so they decided to come with us.

Fala: Look here!! There are four more bodies!!

Frei: Two of them are dead…

Leo: !? Deliaa!!! Sh-she's alive…

Reila: Who is she?

Leo: She isn’t waking up…

Nelus: Well… if days here is equivalent to hundreds of thousands of years here… years have passed here in Alxia… it will take time before she wakes…

Delia: Guuhh…

The woman struggled as she slowly opes her eyes.

Nelus: I stand corrected…

Leo: Delia!!!

Delia: L-Leo? Its not a dream…?

Leo then hugs Delia as Delia cried with an unbelieving expression as if hope returned after a long life of despair.

Leo: And look…

Getly smiling, Leo the poits at the teary eyed Reila.

Reila:  Mother…

Delia: Reilaaa!!! My daughter!! Reila…

Delia shouted, trying to stand up with all of her strength as she staggers towards Reila. Reila then supports Delia as she almost fell down with concern preset within her eyes.

Reila: You’re my… mother? …

Delia: Yes! I am… Reila... my child... all this time... I wanted to meet you.

Delia smiled as she hugs Reila tightly while caressing her hair.

Nelus: What are we going to do with Atir?

Leo and Delia: Atir!!

Leo: He’s still alive!?

Nelus: Yes… he is unconscious over there…

As we look over towards Atir we see Tiana kept on beating him up as he is still unconscious.

Tiana: It is still not enough!! No matter how much I torture you… what you did is unforgivable… I should just take you life right now… Finally, my vengeance!! Shadow Blade!!

???: Stop! !!

As Tiana was going to stab the unconscious Atir a red figure obstructed her while also concealing her movement. It was the red spirit...

Tiana: Don’t get in my way!!

Red Spirit: Only he can reconnect your grandmother’s mana connection…

Tiana: I-is that true?

Red Spirit: Nelus? Can you call your spirit ruler again?

Nelus: Yes…

Atir: Ughh… what…

Leo: He is waking up!!

Chains of light appeared from the ground holding down the restless Atir, what he used was the light spell,

Atir: What are you doing!!! Let me go insects and let me kill you!!!

Leo: I’ll hold him down… I don’t know what you will do but do it quickly!!

Nelus: Calice…

Calice: Yes Lord Nelus?

Nelus: Can you destroy what is inside him?

Calice: Easy!

Calice smiled as if saying that it is child's play. Calice the touches Atir's head as he was squirming, ad shouting in pain. She used one of her soul based spell, Soul Banish.

Atir: Let me go!

Leo: It didn’t work!!!

Atir: I said, let me go you unfathomable brute!

Leo: ...

Leo was take aback at Atir's sudden change in attitude and demeanor as he lets go of him.

Atir: Hmph! Mind I tell you that I am the king of the serpentine race Atir Creilard the 3rd!

Nelus: (God’s Eyes)

Leo: I don’t think I can get use to this…

Atir: I thank you from the bottom of my heart for freeing me.

Nelus: How did you end up like that?

Atir: My kingdom was attacked by an unknown instigator! So I prayed to the God’s which then appeared that accursed book…  someone was controlling me…

Nelus: You mean a dark figure?

Atir: No… it was something else but I can’t remember…

Nelus: …I see… (The only possibility is that it is the work of a God from Mesira’s clan…)

Tiana: Hey! Can you cure my grandmother?

Atir: Why, yes I can! I am sorry for what I did but I ask not for forgiveness as it is something that cannot be forgiven!

Nelus: Look… it is a child… it also came from the hole…  its still alive…

Atir: Oh that? That boy is the child of one of the dragons I killed…

As I pick up the child he slowly opens his eyes and looks at me, suddenly saying...

???: Papa!!

Atir: It was supposed to be an egg… well I guess it was in my void… so it might have hatched at some point...

Nelus: …
