Chapter 89 – Disciples’ Reunion

???: Nelus is that you?

Said by a familiar figure as she came closer, she then wave towards us with a smile on her face.

Nelus: Taln…

Taln: Oho! It seems like you remember me!

Taln said gleefully as she then asks Nelus…

Taln: What are you doing here in Retar Village near the border?

Nelus: We are just passing by, we are headed somewhere to find someone.

Taln: I see… also, who are these two cuties with you?

Taln said as she gazes over Tania and Lina with a faint blush.

Tania: Greetings, my name is Tania, father’s daughter.

Taln then became wide eyed as she stuttered…

Taln: F-f-f-ather!? T-then Nelus is married?

Tania: My brother and I are adopted.

Taln: O-ohh… how about this little one?

Tania: She is Lina, daughter of father’s friend, the king of the angels.

Taln then became confused as it was too much to follow… she then had a wry smile and invited us to eat… Lina was eating with a bright smile as it causes the surrounding people to smile at her warmly. As for Tania, they were attracted by her beauty as well as Taln’s.

???: Taln! Sorry for keeping you waiting!

Taln: Altea! No worries you’re just in time.

Taln said as Altea then gazes at Nelus and the others and said…

Altea: Who is this handsome man?

Altea said with interest as Taln said…

Taln: His name is Nelus, an acquaintance of mine.

???: Nelus… is it really…?

Said by a familiar youth behind Geira, it was none other than Yora. As Yora became excited he then asks Nelus…

Yora: Sir Nelus! How is Rezald?

Nelus: He is fine, right now he is teaching in Lux Academy.

Yora then became astonished as he repeated Nelus’ words…

Yora: T-teaching? Rezald is…

Tania: Father, who is this man?

Nelus: He is Rezald’s childhood friend.

Tania then ponders a bit and nodded her head. As Yora notices Tania, his face became red as he scratches his cheeks in embarrassment. Altea and Taln then had a mischievous smile and said…

Taln: My, my, quite weak towards beautiful women as usual. Just like when you first met me and Geira.

Altea: How cute, this disciple of mine.

Altea said as she giggled while making Yora more flustered. Yora then thanked me for recommending him to Taln and help him to find a proper master. It seems Altea is another sword master. She has short silky blond hair, well endowed body and is of the Airel race. They are one of the races that live in the sky domain on the floating islands above the land of earth. Once needed, they can unfold their colorful wings that resemble a butterfly’s. Her orange colored eyes then looks over to Taln as they both grinned. Nelus then used God’s Eyes as he was quite curious…

Altea: Hehe, why are you staring at me? Are you infatuated?

Altea said teasingly as Taln had a wry smile on her face as well as an apologetic one. Nelus was speechless. Taln then decided to introduce Altea whom had a gentle smile on her face.

Taln: Her name is Altea Eldin, a friend whom I met while traveling. She is a great swordmaster that uses techniques as well as “Pure Energy” as her source of power.

Altea: Nice to meet you!

Altea said brightly as Taln continued…

Taln: And this is Nelus, he is very strong.

Altea: Hahhaha!! As expected of Taln to only remember the other party’s strength.

Taln became embarrassed as she looks around and notices…

Taln: Hey… I remembered you had those two beastmen as you’re companions, where are they?

Nelus: They are back at the city.

Taln: I see… too bad.

Taln said while disappointed as she then said to Nelus while glancing at Yora.

Taln: I received you’re recommendation from Yora, don’t surprise me like that… luckily I had a proper swordmaster as a friend whom is perfect for his style that uses an ordinary sword.

Yora: I became stronger because of Sir Nelus, thank you!

Yora said appreciatively as Nelus used God’s Eyes on Yora.

Yora said curiously as well as with worry mixed in as he has not seen Rezald for a year.

Nelus:  He is fine, and yes… he became strong.

Yora: Oh! I’m glad then, I wish I could meet with him but if he is busy then…

Yora said while looking down as Tania glanced at him and sighed. As for Lina, she finished eating a while ago but was listening on their conversation and kept silent to not rudely interrupt them, as Zala taught her.

Taln: Did you know there is a tournament tomorrow?

Taln said excitedly as Yora became determined.

Nelus: I did not… (Does she like tournaments?)

Altea: It is a tournament for sword users… anybody can join with the condition of using a sword.

Yora: Tomorrow I will fight in it!

Nelus: Is that why you came to this city?

Yora: Yes! It is the trial master has given me! I will win it at all cost!!

Yora shouted as he clenched his fist and shouted as the surrounding people looked their way and then ignored them and returned to what they were doing.

Nelus: Then I wish you luck.

Nelus said as Yora grinned. After a bit, they left the place together as Tania suddenly says…

Tania: Father, I’ll go to the forest for a bit.

Tania said abruptly, making everyone stunned a bit as Nelus then answers…

Nelus: Al… right?

Yora: Ah …Be careful! I heard there are wild magical beast in the forest.

Yora said out of concern. Tania then glances at him and says…

Tania: I can handle it myself.

She said as she dashes off… once again leaving everyone stunned once again as Altea lets out an amused expression as they continued. Taln then recommended Nelus to the inn they are staying at as Nelus nodded. After registering their rooms which are one for him, and one for Tania and Lina, Nelus and Lina checked their rooms as Lina pouted saying…

Lina: I wanted to have the same room as uncle!!

Nelus then sighed as he tried to persuade Lina otherwise and told her to stay with Tania as she then nodded with teary eyes. Taln and the others came in and saw this scene as they smiled warmly.

Altea: So cute! How Lina wants to stay with you, I wish I had a sister as cute as her... I know! Lina, come on! Become my little sister… just for the day…

Altea said making Lina embarrassed as little as a faint blush appeared, she then hid behind Nelus as she was not used to other people. Altea then reaches her hand towards Lina when she hid behind Nelus as Altea became slightly depressed, making Yora and Taln laugh as Altea frowned slightly.

Taln: Aahhahaha!! It’s the first time I saw you make that expression!!

Altea: Hmph… I-I’ll co back to my room a bit…

Altea said with a slight stutter as she walks off. As Taln and Yora was going to leave the room… Tania appears from the stairs and said.

Tania: Father, I’m back.

Nelus: So you brought him… well I guess its okay, there isn’t any classes tomorrow after all.

Tania: Yes, I asked Uncle Rezald if it was okay through brother and he was more than okay with it so my brother and I used our skill for Summoning to bring both brother and uncle Rezald here and Initial Return to send brother back.

Nelus said making Taln and Yora confused at their conversation. Yora then became wide eyed as he saw a figure walk up the stairs as they were in the third floor…

Rezald: Bro Nelus, I’ll be staying for a little while. Is that alright?

Rezald said as Nelus nodded, Rezald then looked at Yora as he still has a stunned expression on his face as Rezald grinned.

Yora: Re… zald… is that really you?

Rezald grinned making Yora recognize Rezald’s expression as he heartily smiled. Nelus had sensed Rezald’s link beforehand and already told the innkeeper that his room will be for two. As dinner came Yora and Rezald chatted nonstop to tell each other the stories about their adventures and stuff. Rezald was glad that Yora was alright and asked how was Mosie and Nillie and he told him that they stayed at the village in which they successfully cured of the plague. Rezald sighs in relief as Yora then said…

Yora: How about you? What happened for the past months with Sir nelus? I bet your adventures were exhilarating.

Yora said with excitement as Rezald started to tell his story making everybody listen carefully… He told them about how he followed Nelus to a city of divines after they parted from each other and lived inside a mansion with Nelus, Altan and Tania whom he explains that they were his son and daughter respectively, to the part where he was taught by Nelus to become a teacher himself for Lux Academy making Yora and the two shocked as they knew how prestigious Lux Academy was… even more so after they heard he became a teacher in the beings of divinity branch.

Yora: Whoa… so you had that fruitful of an adventure… what rank are you now?

Rezald: I am ranked A-C. (Without equipping Lasteon.)

Altea: I heard there was a wide scale war near the border… did you perhaps…

Rezald: Yes… I participated in the war of the beings of divinity against the beings of darkess.

Rezald said making Altea envious for fighting strong opponents as Yora once again was shocked… Rezald then asks permission to tell about the war excluding the part about the Gods as Nelus nodded. When he heard Rezald story, how they fought against the kings of darkness and such, Yora was pondering how strong Rezald was now as he thought that his rank was higher so he was stronger so Taln made a suggestion…

Taln: Why don’t we let Rezald participate the sword tournament? Only if he can use a sword, if he truly is Nelus’ disciple then I would like to see him fight, after all magic is not prohibited as long as you can only use spells regarding your weapon, like enhancement magic and such.

Yora: But Rezald doesn’t have a sword… hmm… why don’t we buy one?

Rezald: No, its alright I have a sword.

Rezald then summoned Lasteon in it’s greatsword form making Altea and the others astonished… his power just jumped up to S rank…

For those who don’t remember Taln, she is a swordmaster of a feline type race. As for Yora, he is Rezald’s childhood friend as well as someone Nelus told to find a master. As for Yora… Rezald’s power is already broken compared to other humans… it looks like the group leader from the Domun cave has been left behind… XD
