Chapter 74 – War God’s Rally, Hopeful Flare
As Rido and Falmi approaches me, Fion who was staring at Dema and Maque who was laying unconscious on the ground started to panic and said to Dotis beside her…
Fion: What do we do!? If we don’t do something fast, Dema and Maque will be…
Dotis then snorted as Fion was taken aback as Dostis then said while grinning.
Dotis: Hmph! If they die here then they die and if so they are truly worthless.
Hearing Dotis’ answer she trembled in anger as her face becomes flustered, she grits her teeth and tries to go towards them as Dotis stops her.
Dotis: Wait.
Fion: If you’re not going to save them then…
Dotis laughed as he then says.
Dotis: Heh, they are just a bunch of male beings of divinity with their divinity cursed. Also, instructor Kawt and vampire queen Clara is here so leave it up to them.
Dotis said with confidence as he suddenly became shocked as even Fion was staring at a certain someone while she was wide eyed.
Kawt: Lord Nelus, I shall follow you forever. Whatever is it that you order me to do; I will do it without fail.
Clara was even more astonished as she knew Kawt even before he became a teacher in Nox Academy. She knew that this man was more arrogant than others; he would rather kill himself than to submit to others, even if he was joking, his expressions were far too sincere, an expression that she surely didn’t even experience while being with him. Nelus ponders a bit as even he, who only met him for a while was taken aback as his personality did a complete 180 degree turn.
Nelus: (Calice… what did you do?)
Calice: (Uhm… when you said to end the nightmare, it was suppose to end a day from now but since you told me to stop it, I tried to forcefully stop it by… configuring it by some means…)
Nelus: (How did you stop it…)
Calice: (When he was… “being toyed with” I kind of used Lord Nelus’ image and made it so he defeated those around him thereby, rescuing him and stopping the nightmare. Now, I believe… that because of it he extremely worships Lord Nelus.)
Nelus was speechless for a few moments as he sighed. He then decided to at least use this as a chance to ask some questions. But before he does so, Kawt prostrates himself in front of Nelus and said.
Kawt: I am your number 1 follower; I will give my life into your hands.
Seeing this, Cellux was somehow annoyed as he believed that Minael who was directly the creation of Nelus was the one true follower. But he shrugs it of as it would be immature to act just because of such words.
Nelus: I see… then…
Nelus then tried to think of a question as something floated on his mind… it was what Riseos told before he left…
Nelus: Who is this lady void?
Clara paled as she then shouted at Kawt.
Clara: Kawt don’t answer it!!
Kawt: Quiet! Don’t talk to me… all women are just men in disguise!
Clara was surprised at Kawts sudden outburst, but more than that she was confused at what could those word mean?
Kawt: Lady Void or should I say, Lady Lexa Void is the queen of the void race as well as my student’s, Dotis’ mother.
Dotis frowned as did Fion as they didn’t expect him to say it even if he was tortured but what did happen to him before he came here? They didn’t know that now their arrogant teacher was long gone, what remains is a man with a fanatic like worship towards Nelus. Somehow hearing Lexa’s name Cellux frowned.
Nelus: Cellux, do you know her?
Cellux: I don’t… know it feels like the name is familiar but I just can’t remember…
Nelus: I see… then where can we find her?
Kawt: We can’t…
Clara sighed in relief as if Kawt said the reason then there will be no escape for her.
Kawt: It is because only beings of darkness rulers like queen Clara can find her.
Clara panicked as Dotis and Fion immediately ran to warn lady Lexa, Nelus then faces her and said.
Nelus: So what is your choice?
Clara: Hahh… do you even need to ask? I will come with you…
Falmi: U-uhm I will come too!
Falmi said while glancing at Rido, she then looks at Maque and the others and sighed… knowing that Maque will indeed try to get her at all cost she could no longer stand it, what she didn’t know that there is also another reason why she chose this…
Cellux: Is this alright Lord Nelus?
Nelus: Yes. Let’s head back.
Rido: Commander, how is captain and the others?
Nelus: They are waiting for your return.
Rido: I see… so they are waiting for me.
Rido said while a slight smile appeared from his usually calm face as Falmi’s face reddens. We then head towards the border while carrying mostly everyone using Spatial Magic as we flew off towards the south west where the fortress Rezald was helping in building as Nelus expected everyone to be there.
Clara: Where are we headed?
Cellux: To the fortress of our army near the border.
Clara then frowns when she heard Cellux as her, being a being of darkness, surely she will be treated harshly but sadly no matter how much she tried escaping, she just couldn’t… especially seeing how strong and precise Nelus’ barriers was so he could block off her path anytime. As we get closer, Nelus twitched as he felt something was wrong. What he reacted to was Rezald’s link, it seems he was fighting someone.
Nelus: Cellux, lets go faster.
Cellux: Understood Lord Nelus.
Cellux then flew faster as he didn’t question Nelus’ order at all, seeing Nelus tense up. After a while, upon reaching the fortress, Rido was wide eyed as he said.
Rido: How could this be…?
Everywhere… corpse everywhere as Rido’s heart sank but it looks like Olpa and the others isn’t with them so he was relieved for now. We then saw that the fortress was destroyed and something a little far from the fortress was a dome like structure far taller than the fortress can be seen. As we came closer to it, I felt the numerous auras getting stronger and what I saw was…
Rezald on top of the dome made from his condense earth… he was holding his staff as I felt that his mana was nearly empty as he was catching his breathe while severely injured, as well as a little farther up in the north was Andros in the same state. Halvard, Wedea and Melzir were frozen in place inside a dark sphere… it seems the aura it is emanating does not belong to neither Trigus nor Riseos.
Clara: Lady void’s Nox Night Zone…
Clara then recognizes this spell; it is a spell that freezes everything within it completely. Nelus and the others then tried to look around but it seems the only formidable ones here were Trigus and Riseos who were smirking at the injured Rezald on top of a dome and Andros who was in front of the other soldiers whom were looking at him with worry while glaring at Trigus.

Rezald: Hahh… such a sneaky Demon King… (Kuh… I can’t hold the Gaia Dome ant longer…)
Riseos: Heh… your just weak hearted! You would rather protect the other soldiers than yourself.
Riseos said as he grinned mischievously as he mocks Rezald who seemed to be unaffected as he smiled and continues to carefully watch Riseos’ action as he then frowned, thinking that Rezald was no fun.
Trigus: That goes for you too Andros, with your strength tat rivals mine I am highly disappointed.
Andros: Heh, most of these soldiers either graduated from Lux academy or students so as principal, how could I let them perish… I already let many die.
Welg: Father…
Welg said while gritting his teeth in his helplessness. Both Rezald and Andros were doing everything they can to protect them. They all wish that they have the power to go against these two oppressors who uses their lives as hostages to defeat Rezald and Andros. As the dome disappears and Andros collapses, Riseos pointed his palm and pointed it toward the sky as an enormous sphere of darkness were headed their way. Even so, the soldier remained calm accepting their fate. Trigus then covers himself in a dark aura as he rushes towards the soldiers to slaughter them. At this time Nelus and the other were too far away too see what was happening as they can only see a few dot as well as the dome disappearing…
Feeling that something was wrong Nelus used Divine Combat Style: Stance 7, Light Speed Rush as he then arrives to the scene; the dark sphere was inches away from the soldiers as did Trigus. He was conflicted if he should save both but to deflect both of their attack simultaneously while the soldiers to be left unscathed he would need to use a little bit of his true powers as suddenly… he heard a voice.
???: Let… me… help… you…
It was the female voice that somehow calms and hurts him every time he hears it. Suddenly, Nelus’ eyes became blue, but it wasn’t like an element mastery or anything… it felt more natural as if he was born with blue eyes… he felt a hand guiding his arm as it points towards the soldiers. He then felt that feeling of the soldiers being oppressed by these two who were clearly stronger than them. In his mind was… revolution… the power to overcome those stronger than you by joining hands.
A figure arises behind him as tears started to fall from Nelus’ cheeks.
???: Finally… you can feel my existence…
Nelus: Lly… ra…
???: That’s right.
The figure smiled as it hugs Nelus tenderly from behind.
Nelus: Why do I know your name… who… are you…?
The figure felt as if it was in pain but still hugged Nelus tighter than before as she whispered.
???: I am… someone who thinks of you… as the most important in my life.
Nelus: Why does it hurt so much… do I know you?
Calice: (Lord Nelus…)
Even Calice who was connected to Nelus started crying as if feeling the swirl of emotions inside Nelus as she then understood. That this figure is someone that Nelus deeply cares for. This feeling of longing and pain swirling together, it was a first for her as when this happened to Nelus before she was inactive so only know that she felt it. Calice then tries to talk to the figure in hopes for it to hear her.
Calice: (Will you speak to me?)
A figure then appeared in front of Calice as it creates a wall around them. This figure has long braided white hair and blue eyes that was extremely beautiful with a gentle smile.
Llyra: (Yes, we can speak now.)
Calice: (Why did you block off Lord Nelus?)
Llyra: (It is because it is not time for him to remember me fully yet, there is still a deep scar within him, only the time where he overcomes “it” can I reveal myself as “it” will only use this moment of weakness to take over Nebulus.)
Seeing that she is unwilling to tell what “it” is Calice didn’t pry further and instead asked…
Calice: (I see… what is your relationship with Lord Nelus… err… Nebulus?)
Llyra: (I am his wife…)
The figure said as she slowly disappears…
Calice: (Eh!? W-wait!! Kuuhh… what is happening? Well judging by Lord Nelus’ reaction towards her… still… hahh… well anyways it is not only you who is worried about him so I too will watch over him.)
Calice said with a wry smile. On Nelus’ palm, mana started to gather as the figure covers Nelus hand with hers as she concentrated the mana.
Llyra: (As the Goddess of Revolution, only when people with strong hearts trying to revolt against their oppressors will give me power… even so… not even a scratch can be seen on the chains in this curse… Nebulus, let us use this spell that we both made together, one of the spells we made as a symbol of our connection, War God’s Rally, Hopeful Flare.) Nebulus I will be watching over you just like always. For now I’ll need to lock your memory of meeting me here. As, if I let your emotions run through I am afraid that even I cannot hold back “it” anymore… still I am glad to see you face to face like this and feel your warmth through your hand.
The figure said as she giggled while she slowly fades as Nelus tries to reach his hand towards her as again, pain filled him. The mana was then released, it was a mere X rank spell but its support effect was tremendous. A warm feeling appeared on Rezald and Andros’ chest as their wounds started to heal at a very fast rate. The spirits of the soldiers were riled up as their morale skyrocketed. A light envelopes them as they push forward. The soldiers all used an array of strong light spells as it destroys the dark sphere slowly heading their way. Riseos was dumbfounded as the sphere shouldn’t have been destroyed as his magical power was stronger than the soldiers’ combined; only Rezald was the one who can somehow block it.
Trigus too was having a hard time. A group of soldier kept on trying to suppress him as they switch out with one another when they tire out. Their strength were incomparable than before as they manage to push back Trigus. A cracking sound can be heard coming from where Halvard and the others were trapped as they have been freed. Rezald stands up refreshed as did Andros.
Riseos: Just what is happening!? Our perfect plan…
Trigus: It must be because of him!
Trigus said while pointing at Nelus whose eyes turned back to normal and the figure was nowhere to be seen.
