Chapter 94 – Murix’ Scale
As the ashes of Keltis as blown way by the wind the audience became totally silent while the announcer stared at Nelus wide eyed. Yora whom was silent the whole time, couldn’t help but sigh in amazement at Nelus’ strength. Taln was astonished at Nelus’ power and finally… Altea couldn’t help but tremble as her eyes redden, all these years of wanting revenge and finally… Keltis is dead! While all of them were thinking this, Nelus was looking up into the sky and said softly.
Nelus: Murix, do you hear me?
Murix: (Lord Nebulus… I see you noticed.)
Nelus: (You purposely left your signature didn’t you?)
Murix: (Yes, it was because I thought it was time to have a talk to you since I already knew what has happened..)
Nelus: (Are you the one who activated that barrier?)
Murix was startled that he noticed immediately and couldn’t help but smile wryly. She has been thinking whether or not it was time to reveal herself to Nelus as it has been a long time since they ever talked. She was unlike the carefree Folia who didn’t care of such things or Genbalt who was very close to him. As she was thinking this the audience suddenly erupted in cheer.
???: That was amazing… a God… he was incredibly strong…
???: Did you see that pillar of flames!? I even forgot to breathe that moment.
???: Ha! Keltis deserve it; he thinks he is all that just because he was a grand swordmaster.
???: Yeah, he was so low as to attempt to kill Lord Iatan and the medics.
Iatan who was healed from his wounds couldn’t help but sneer at Keltis the whole time and gaze at Nelus with admiration in his eyes, to him, not only was Nelus the one who saved him, he even killed the one who attempted to kill him making him even more grateful. He then approaches Nelus.
Iatan: Lord Nelus… was it?
Murix: (Let us talk later it seems it has gotten a bit noisy.)
Nelus: (Alright…) What is it?
Iatan: I must thank you. I knew was going to die and if it hadn’t been for you…
Nelus: No need to thank me, I as going to fight him eventually after all.
As Nelus walks away Iatan was very impressed at Nelus’ humility and bowed in gratitude. The announcer who snapped out of his daze then walked towards the middle of the arena and said…
For defeating Keltis, the winner of the swordmaster tournament is. Nelus!! He will then be given the right to have the title of… grand swordmaster!!
The audience then cheered as suddenly… Nelus interrupted
Nelus: I must decline that right as I am not sure that I will take the trouble as to return here every year to defend my position so I here by announce my withdrawal from the tournament.
Announcer: Th-then who will be the grand swordmaster this year?
Nelus: If it wasn’t for my participation then Altea would’ve won the tournament so I think she would be the best choice and as for those who are unsatisfied with that choice, then I think she will temporarily have the position of grand swordmaster until the tournament next year.
As the crowd heard this they were flabbergasted while Altea couldn’t help but become startled as Yora nodded in agreement as he himself knew Altea’s strength as did Taln who was sitting besides them.
Altea: Nelus! I-I am not worthy to…
Yora: Master, don’t say that, I believe that you are powerful enough to be the grand swordmaster.
Taln: That’s right Altea, it is Nelus’ choice so why don’t you just accept it. It is after all just a temporary position until the next tournament, by then you should show them that you are worthy for that position. Also, Nelus is a God…
Taln said while glancing at Nelus with great admiration and continued.
Taln: He doesn’t have the time to do such things; a God is after all the ones governing this world.
Altea: I… understand.
The announcer then sighed as he heard the audience about Nelus being a God and his power is far above of the usual X ranks so if he was given the right to be the grand swordmaster then the tournament’s reason to be held as a trial for those to compete for strength will be useless as they can’t compare to someone with Nelus’ caliber. So he then said…
Announcer: Lord Nelus has withdrawn himself from the tournament and the position of grand swordmaster will be temporarily being given to Altea.
???: Too bad but it can’t be helped…
???: Yeah, with a God as the grand swordmaster…
???: Anyways, Lord Altea herself is an X rank swordmaster so I think it is alright.
???: I don’t think she is cutout for it… after all she was defeated many times by that bastard Keltis.
Announcer: It seems there are only a few who disagrees so the right to be the grand swordmaster will be given to Lord Altea!
As the announcer gestured Altea to come, she jumped of the audience area into the arena and went to the middle as a light seemed to envelop her. It came from a familiar crystal bestowing an S class title that can only target one person as given by Genbalt himself. Nelus then heads back to the audience area with Tania and Lina on both of his side, the whole time Tania and Lina were sure that Nelus was going to win so they didn’t worry one bit and watched silently while Lina was cheering on Nelus.
Tania: Father, it was a good battle.
Lina: Uncle was great!!
Tania said with a calming voice and Lina with a bright smile as their gaze went back to the middle area of the arena as the ceremony continued for a few minutes. A title represents a prestige as well as potential. Like the God’s titles which are X class titles and God Kings and their Y class titles it represents their personality and power as well as their fate and prestige. To Gods an S class title and below can be obtained easily but will not affect them much, as for their titles, either they were born with it or were bestowed by destiny.
After all of this was done, Iatan greeted Nelus and the others and bid goodbye as he was heading back to his home at the edge Land of Earth near the domain of water which is as abundant as the land unlike most worlds with more water than land areas. Alxia in itself is quite vast. Nelus and the others then heads back to their inn and unsurprisingly, all the people they pass by bowed respectfully at Nelus. A God is after all the creator of this world and all life within it. As Taln and the others entered the inn, Altea stooped and approached Nelus and said…
Altea: Nelus… tomorrow I will return back to the sky domain, may I ask where you will go after this?
Nelus: I am not sure but I will be tomorrow. (As I will have a talk with Murix later.)
Lina: Uncle, its dinner time!
Lina said suddenly as she grabs Nelus’ robe and Nelus followed as well as Altea. Yora, Taln and Tania were already seated and were waiting for the two as they suddenly stopped midway while heading towards one of the tables. Taln grinned while looking at Altea as she became embarrassed at Taln’s gaze as she glances at nelus and Yora whom was unaware of the atmosphere started guzzling down the food as he was quite hungry making Altea smile wryly and started eating herself. Once they all finished, they head back to their rooms and once again, Lina and Tania entered the room but this time they were the only ones on Nelus bed as they slept deeply while Nelus returned to their realm and what awaited him was Murix.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Murix: Hello Lord Nebulus.
Murix said while bowing slightly as she then see Nelus wearing his usual clothing “white star” as Nelus invited her to seat on the chair in front of Nelus’ usual desk at the time when he was seated whenever the other Gods besides Genbalt, wanted to meet with him. She then felt nostalgic as when the world was just created, they would usually
consult Nelus with something.
Murix: Yes… I was the one to set up the barrier as I never would have thought that a situation like that would arise…
Nelus: So you saw all of it?
Murix: Yes… Folia appearing… which I could guess was with using a unique skill that somehow correlates with you?
Nelus: Good guess.
Murix then smile as her eyes emitted a deep sadness within and said…
Murix: As well as.. what happened to Genbalt… I tried to secretly find if there was a sign that he was reincarnated to the God’s realm but there seems to be no such thing and somehow I felt relieved that he wasn’t as his pursuers might try to kill him and seal him eternally. I believe that as long as his soul is intact then he will be reincarnated somewhere but where is the question… I doubt they will just leave him be…
Nelus: The red spirit told me that I need to find his main maiden first and then after I see the state of the land of earth and sky will she be able to tell me of Genbalt’s state.
Murix: Hmm… maybe Genbalt left them a certain message; considering they are his main maiden then they surely can be trusted. As for the state of the land of earth and sky domain… because of Genbalt’s links were temporarily severed, the souls of his people are slowly being contaminated as a link is one way to prevent the contamination of the soul.
Once a person reaches the age of 25 he or she will be automatically linked to a God whether it was random or mediated by the God as it seems to be one of the initial rule made by the first God Emperor. A soul is a very fragile thing with the exception of the Gods, they can easily be contaminated, even with the great resistance of the Gods they are still susceptible to contamination and can even become rogue Gods.
Nelus: How bad is it?
Murix: The contamination is spreading faster than normal, I don’t know the reason why but there seems to be something going on in the land of earth. As for the sky domain there are fewer cases but one can’t be too sure. For now I am regulating the spread by forcing a temporary link on those not contaminated yet but if the contaminated ones come in contact with them, then there is nothing I can do, they will be forever contaminated until they perish.
Nelus: How are the others?
Murix: Folia is up to her usual things, Lonlei is… Zanth is doing well and is assisting me on such matters.
Nelus: What about Lonlei?
Murix: …
Nelus: …
After theirr sudden silence, Murix snapped out from her blank look and returned to her usual self. She then updated me with what has happened with the world so far and what has changed. It seems that they tried creating another continent on the far west of this continent which they called, Continent of Apretis. This continent output was initially made by Nelus and because of the quality and efficacy of the land, there are cases of powerful beings emerging especially the land of light. The first continent they made was a failure and became a paradise for magical beast. As for the second one, it was a success but the quality was quite poor and even Genbalt had a hard time purifying the land. It seems Nelus needs to go there in the future to fix it…
Murix: Well so far these are a portion of the things that had happened so far and I will update you further once I have the time and also… welcome back Lord Nebulus.
Nelus: Sorry for leaving you all the work for so long.
Murix: Don’t worry about that, I got used to it, and also I am the Goddess of Law and Order of this world so initially I have the most responsibilities of governing a world.
Nelus: Can you tell me the location of Genbalt’s main maiden?
Murix: Oh? Her name is Terra she is in the heart of the land of earth near the borders of the largest kingdom, As for Ventia she is roaming around the vast domain of the sky.
Nelus: Alright, for now I will continue to head towards the heart of the land of earth.
As Nelus stood up, Murix used a storing crystal and took out a golden scale that is one of the most common symbol of a God of Law which means that no matter ho much the balance tips over, it will be the job of the God of Law to right it.
Murix: Wait, Lord Nelus take this.
Murix said as she hurriedly pass a golden scale towards Nelus as Nelus nods and takes it.
Murix: With this you can communicate with me at anytime or use your authority to summon me if it is really needed.
Nelus: Thank you.
Nelus said as he heads over to the portal as his figure disappears, as if pondering for a while, Murix then sighed and felt as if recently she was even more stressed lately.
Murix: Hahh… there are so much work to do it seems.
As Murixwas saying this she went back to her realm and as she got there…
???: Ahh! Murix you finally came back!
The voice said as it seems like it came from a mirror on the far side from the portal… it was Lonlei.
Murix: Lonlei, what is it this time?
Lonlei: You see… aha… ahaha…
Lonlei said with cold sweat s she can’t seem to look directly at Murix’ eyes and started fidgeting, Murix’ face became expressionless like a dark aura swirling around her as Lonlei’s face paled.
Murix: What did you do this time…
Lonlei: Waa… wh-why are you making such a scary face again…
Murix: Just tell me…
Lonlei: My feelings affected the Fire elves and no they all love men…
Murix’ expression softened while sighing in relief and said…
Murix: Oh? Is that all?
Lonlei: Yes and now their birthrates are getting even lower as the men don’t want to touch the women as for the women… because of their “frustration” they are now forcing sexually themselves to the men…
Murix felt that it wasn’t over… if it is Lonlei it really isn’t over…
Murix: Then... what happened next.
Murix said as her expression darkened.
Lonlei: It became a war, the women that were defeated were exiled and the men are now enslaved by the women. As for the exiled ones, it seems they are enslaving the men from other races and trying to build and empire of men that they rule over… tehee…
Lonlei said while smiling trying to divert Murix as she then tries to see the state of the land… hundreds of empires were erected and each had an empress fire elf that rules over some parts in the land of fire. As she looks inside one of the castles that were made quite fast considering the amount of manpower as it seems the population of men were thousands and on the throne was an elf with fiery red hair and pale complexion with beauty abundant in the elf race. Around her were men wearing only a piece of cloth chained around her while revering her.
Murix: Lonlei…
Lonlei: I-I’m sorry…
Murix: Hahh… It just never ends… even if I am used to it, maybe I should ask Lord Nebulus for some help…? I think it would be rude… and… I think I can handle this myself… for now Lord Nebulus has far more things to worry about.

It seems I am getting quite rusty... XD Also… poor Murix…
