Chapter 26 – Floating City

Nelus: Hmm… this place has changed quite a bit… when I made it, I just made a piece of land that has an opposite gravitational force… how about the beings I made?

???: Hey you!! What are you doing here…

Nelus: I am just visiting.

???: Such divinity!!!... Wait there… I’ll go tell the others first before you can enter…

As the man left I tried to observe the inside. The people were quite active in this city. A woman approached me.

???: U-uhm hello… this is the first time I saw someone other than the angels here…

Nelus: Hello my name is Nelus.

Jisa: Ah… hello my name is Jisa.

Nelus: Can I ask what are you all doing?

Jisa: Our queen will have a child soon days from now!!

Nelus: I see…

Jisa: The queen had two daughters so far and for an angel to conceive they would need to absorb tons of divinity from their partner as… you know…

Jisa’s face completely turns red as she tried to explain to me. In their race divinity is a source of power to all of their activities. It can be used to grow plants more effectively and even for using tools and weapons. Conceiving is another case; it needs centuries’ worth of divinity before they can do so. As we discussed the state of the city the male angel guard and his group approached us.

Jisa: Oh? Well then I’ll see you, also if you don’t have a place to stay you are welcome to come to my home. My mansion has quite the amount of free rooms.

Nelus: Thank you for the hospitality but it might be rude to suddenly intrude to your home…

Jisa: I-It’s no problem at all you see… it gets quite lonely after thousands of years…

Nelus: Hmm?

Jisa: Ahh! I-Its nothing… goodbye!

Male Guard: Please come with us the king wants to see you.

Nelus: Alright.

As we were walking, people kept on looking at us as some of them even waves towards us. I returned the wave and somehow caused a stir.

Male Guard: Now calm down…

Female Angel: Ah, sorry! Its just that it is the first time I see someone like him… um can I ask what race you are? You can’t be human with that amount of divinity.

Nelus: I am of the divine race.

Female Angel: !!!???

Male Guard: Is that true!?

Nelus: Yes... is there some thing wrong?

I finally notice a large palace made of marble. As we enter two large thrones were erected at the middle of the room. Sitting on it was the king, a young looking male angel with six wings, short silver hair, green eyes and wearing white clothing which is like those of the roman emperors wore in one of the common world. On the other was a female angel with four wings silver hair, blue eyes, fair skin and wearing a similar clothing like that of the male one, she is the queen.

On the side of the king was a female angel with short hair, lighter colored green eyes, wearing a serious expression. She looks at me with indifference. As for the one on the queen’s side was a female angel that seems to be younger from the other one. She had long silver hair with light curls at the ends, She has a blue eye on the left and green on the right. She smile at me as she whispers something to the queen which made her giggle.

King: Hello, may I ask what are you doing in our city, Uire?

Nelus: I am just visiting… (Judging from what Jisa told me the queen is pregnant… could it be?)

Queen: U-uhm… is it rue that you are a divine?

Nelus: Yes.

Queen: !!!... Then can I ask if you have heard of someone called Cellux?

The queen asked with a hopeful expression.

Nelus: I'm afraid not… can I asked what do you remember about him?

Queen: He… has a class called Arclight Saviour. He was my father, the previous king… the only divine that managed to become king in our city…

Nelus: (The same class as me… well I just picked a random class… as for now I need to hide it first…) Hmm? From what I heard he was a legendary mercenary…

Queen: Haha… he just like to roam around, helping everyone… but who knew something like that happened… (When “he” betrayed my father and killed his race…)

King: A divine race! Say… do you want to marry my eldest daughter, Zala?

I then arrived at the cave that I made. Suddenly a small object crashed into my body…

Fala: Hah… hah… Lord Nelus! You’re here…

Frei: Lord Nelus: Hah… any longer and I’m afraid… hah… we cannot hold back Altan anymore…

Nelus: Altan… what did you do?

Altan: Uuu… pa… pa…

Frei: He was using minor dragon magic… using fire to accelerate his body… he can only use it for a small amount of time… but he only uses it when we grab him…

Nelus: Yes, she is inside the city floating in the sky… also it seems the king of the angel race granted permission of you three entering.

Fala: Angel race!? So they live here?

Fala: I’m afraid… no one knows where they live… they just appear from time to time just like the other races of divinity…

Nelus: I see… well then hold onto me…

The two holds into my robe as I carry Altan on my arm… we disappeared from the cave and appeared in the sky beneath the barrier…

Fala: We’re flying!!

Frei: Guh… (I’m going to be sick…) Fala…

Fala: Ahh… !

Frei: Good…

Nelus: Oh? Anti - Illness?

I used restore on Frei which alleviated some of his nausea as he stands…

Nelus: Are you okay with this floating city?

Frei: As long as I can see and stand on something then I will be okay… just not something transparent please…

Fala: Hehe… Frei is so cute when he’s panicking.

Frei: …

Jisa: Hey!!

From a distance Jisa greets us. It seems that she lives near the gate behind her was her mansion.

Nelus: Hello.

Jisa: So this is your companions?

Nelus: Yes.

Jisa: Why don’t you stay at my place for a while… you can stay as long as you want.

Nelus: No… its alright, you can lead us to an inn instead.

Jisa: Hahahaha, our city doesn’t have one. Visitors are scarce after all so why build one.

Nelus: I see. Frei, Fala?

Frei: I think it is a good idea. We can’t just live in that cave after all. (And fly towards the city every time…)

Jisa: Then its settled!

Nelus: … Then… sorry for intruding…

Jisa: No problem at all!

She then leads us towards her home…
