Chapter 76 – Kingdoms of Void

Cellux, Rezald, Halvard and the others approached me as they all smiled, all of them were glad that they managed to fend them of with the least casualty and only receiving injuries. Still, their injuries weren’t light but with the help of the “spell” that they told me I used to help them, they healed at a very fast rate. I then releases the spatial barrier around the people Andros and Rezald protected.

Every soldier-in-unison: We thank you for protecting us!!

They said while guilt filled their consciousness as they though they were only dragging as down. Seeing this, Andros’ expression couldn’t help but soften as it returns to his stern expression and shouted.

Andros: No need to belittle yourselves! Your opponents this time are the enemy kings itself so its no wonder most of you cannot fight him on equal terms…

Hearing this, the soldiers couldn’t help but look down in shame as Andros continues talking.

Andros: But all of your performance today were exceptional! All of you didn’t back down nor let yourselves get pushed around by the enemy, with just that I am already proud of you!

Andros then smiled as the soldiers raised their heads and what they saw almost made them teary eyed. Halvard and Cellux had a dignified smile on their face. Melzir and Wedea were heartily laughing. Nelus was gently smiling at them, satisfied that every one of his students lived. Even Rezald who was a human, protected them had a lively grin on his face as if saying that what he did was natural. The soldiers then saluted them with determined expressions. Rezald then shouted.

Rezald: Go back to Lux Academy to get yourselves patched up! The war isn’t over and we’ll need to conserve our strength.

???: Yes Captain Rezald!!

Rezald: Dismissed!

Andros: Wow, maybe we should promote you to commander!

Andros said, obviously satisfied with Rezald’s charisma as suddenly a group of people approach Nelus. It was Rido and the others.

Kawt: Lord Nelus was completely impressive!!

Kawt said with reverent eyes as he sincerely praised Nelus. Rido then comes near me and asks…

Riso: Where are Captain and the others?

Nelus: They will come here shortly as I saw them with the crowd of soldiers.

Clara: What will we do next?

Clara said curiously, even though she already knew what Nelus had planned.

Nelus: You’ll guide me to the city of Void.

Clara: Hahh… well I guess I have no choice…

Kawt: Let me come with you Lord Nelus.

As Rezald and the others stop tending to the soldiers, as Nelus looked at them they all had a look of shock as even if Kawt was only seen a few times, they generally grasped his personality which arrogant and unbending… for someone like him call Nelus as his “Lord”…

Andros: C-Cellux… what happened while you guys were in Malius City?

Cellux then explained the series of events before arriving here, the part where Nelus defeated all soldiers in one fell swoop, used a peculiar spell on Kawt making him follow Nelus fanatically while the vampire queen tried to rescue Kawt but it was too late. Seeing, that she didn’t have a chance in defeating Nelus she didn’t have a choice but to comply and come with them. Cellux then also explains that without her it was impossible to enter the city of void called,

Melzir: I see, so there are things to consider like that… so that’s why the city of void is still an unkown to us.

Melzir said as he frowned, excitement took a hold of him as Wedea asked curiously at Clara.

Wedea: What is the city of void like?

Clara: I don’t know its name and such but all I know as I have gone there before, is that it is extremely large as well as it is well hidden. It is a city that moves.

Melzir: A moving city!? Amazing! Are we headed there?  

Clara: I am sorry… but I can only take four people with me and I choose Nelus, Cellux, Kawt and one that both Lord Nelus and I can trust. (Even if Kawt became like this…, I still trust him as he is still the instructor that Nox Academy is proud of even if he is not one anymore, I just hope all this war will finish. I didn’t know there are monsters in the Lux academy like this, still… there is a bad feeling I have gotten even before the war… I don’t think this something is good for either sides… and I haven’t been wrong about my feelings yet.)

Melzir sighed as he had a downcast expression.

Melzir: Hahh… I see… then too bad but if Lord Cellux and Lord Nelus will be participating then I don’t mind then I guess that other one will be…

Andros: Rezald, I still have to tend to the others in Lux Academy just in case something goes wrong. I have witnessed is power, it doesn’t fall short than mine.

Wedea: Oh? If that is the reason than I too will agree as some of the soldiers I sent will need some transportation. I’ll go get an Ark in the Faras City and ask Slephnir King, Loyde to lend me one. Even the smallest one will help.

Wedea said while grinning as she looks at Rezald as if telling him to do his best as Rezald confidently smiled.

Halvard: I too don’t mind as I can vouch for his strength.

Melzir: If you all say so… well he did manage to protect the soldiers so…

Rezald: If it is Bro Nelus alone it will already be enough but if you want me to come then I’ll do so. (Hahh… just how much will I owe Nelus… when I died, I was miraculously healed, now I owe Nelus two favors that I cannot repay no matter how much I will try.)

Rezald said with a wry smile as Nelus pointed his arm towards him and Andros. Nelus then gathered mana and converted it to water as he spreads it towards us as it covers us completely. Rezald can feel that he is healing at a faster rate… faster than before… it feels comfortable. Still, Rezald had a weary expression with his still active wry smile on his face.

Nelus: Rezald is there something wrong?

Rezald: None, anyways we can’t just stand here, lets go!

Rezald said with a grin as he summoned Lasteon again and smashed its blunt side on the ground as a platform appeared. He then stood on it and lifts it up with gravity magic. Cellux flapped his wing as he ascended to the sky and Nelus used Spatial Magic as Kawt and Clara too was carried with him as their flying speed were too slow.

Clara was actually the fastest in vampire city and her flying skills were exceptional but she cannot compare to these three. Rezald didn’t want to have the feeling were he flew using Nelus’ spell as it makes him extremely dizzy so at some point, the reason for mastering gravity magic was because of desperation so that he himself can fly towards Lux academy and back without help.

Clara: Lets go, I feel it is on the north east from here. Quickly before it moves again!

Nelus and the others then head toward the direction as Clara stated and after a while… we noticed a place where everywhere was covered in green liquid, deformed trees and smoky air which is hard to see through normally. Clara then explained to us that this is the famous, Gramon Swamp where everything here are mostly acidic or poisonous. Rezald then used Gaia Barrier as Cellux covered himself with high density light using the spell Lux Armament. Nelus then used Flame Barrier around him and the two as it was hard to move with the Spatial Barrier due to its properties.

Rezald: So it is here…

Kawt: Be careful Lord Nelus, I heard that guarding the entrance are 5 high ranked void soldiers in which I cannot handle.

Clara: Me too… I cannot fight them… as they are indeed too strong. Also, they are not the ones you need to worry about… it is the 4 rulers under Lady Void that you truly need to be wary about. They are the ones that ruled over each of the existing kingdoms inside the city of void.

Nelus’ expression didn’t change, as for Rezald and Cellux they readied themselves for the fight to come.

Upon feeling a slight resistance as they felt there was a barrier pushing them back, Clara points her arm towards the Barrier as the resistance disappeared and passed through it. After we pass through the barrier… Rezald and Cellux were quite amazed at the size of this city. There are five castles that are visible from where they are flying in which four were surrounding the one castle twice their size. Under the castles were innumerable amounts of structures as well as people roaming around.

Rezald: Whoa… how can such an enormous place move from one place to another!?

Kawt: Void Magic, using void magic of the 5 who ruled over this city, they can easily do such a thing or at least it is what I heard from before.

Clara: Well, you are partly right, I heard that it was mostly done by the queen herself.

Rezald then frowned, if what she said was true then facing her will be extremely hard. His expression returns to normal as they heard someone calling them.

???: Who are you? What are you doing there!?

Said a soldier as he saw us flying near the entrance of the city.

???: Is that Lady Clara?

???: Look! There are others with her… beings of divinity!!

???: Lady Clara what is the meaning of this?

Nelus then put Clara and Kawt down and casts Spatial Barrier around them.

Rezald: I’m sorry but can you bring us to this lady void?

Rezald said with a smile as the soldiers’ expression didn’t change as a jet black sword appeared on their hands. It was the Spell, Void Sword.

???: You need to go through us first. We will not let those who weren’t invited to do as they please.

Cellux: So be it…

Cellux then unfolds his wing as he glares at them as suddenly… one of them rushed towards Cellux and swung their swords as Cellux summons a black metallic gun with peculiar linings that glowed gently. He parries the sword by using pulling the trigger as it lets out a projectile made of light or should I say “bullet” made of light as it smashes onto the edge of the sword. The sword was then pushed back as he transforms it into a rapier and slashes at the man as his void sword shatters.

???: How can this be?

Cellux: I don’t even need to use my sword form… your sword is weaker compared to Riseos’.

As Cellux was going to slash at the guard, one of the other guard pushes him away gently and surrounded Cellux on each side and slashed their void swords horizontally as he uses his metallic wings to intercept it. He soldier’s face turned pale as Cellux returns the rapier to normal and shoot at each of the two soldiers’ forehead as they lost consciousness.

One of them headed towards Rezald in which he swept his spear under him as it hits the soldier’s leg. The soldier then lost balance as he tried to correct his posture. Rezald immediately raised up his spear and smacked the back of his neck using the blunt part rendering him unconscious. As for the two left, they were immediately defeated by Nelus.

Both of them surrounded Nelus as Nelus used Lightning Surge as a large amount of lightning burst around Nelus as it enters their bodies, making them convulse in pain as their void sword dissipates.

Clara: Hahh… they are indeed monsters…

Clara whispered to herself as she twitched… she turns toward a certain direction and saw someone flying…

Clara: Look out!

Clara said as suddenly a pitch black beam appeared as Nelus and the two dodged immediately. The beam then misses as it heads toward the wall… As the beam slowly disappears a large circular hole appeared as the beam disintegrated it, the figure then descends as he looks at Nelus and the others with disdain.

Talex: I am the third ruler of Rolmas City, Talex, may I ask what are beings of divinity doing here?
