Chapter 67 – Ambush

Riseos: Well, I am quite impressed with both of your powers.

Riseos said while smirking as the soldiers surrounded him while trembling, as fear struck their hearts... but who would blame them as even they have felt the monstrous power coming from him even with them being miles apart. They held up their weapons with unsteady hearts and shaking hands as Riseos laughed, obviously amused with them.

Nelus: Why are you doing all this to start a war?

Nelus said as Riseos went wide eyed, shocked of Nelus’ straightforwardness as he opened up a smile and said.

Riseos: All of this is for Lady Void.

Rezald: What does that mean!?

Rezald said as even he was curious at what was the cause of all of this. Riseos laughed as he said.

Riseos: You know what? You people amuse me so I’ll leave but before I leave I will give you a parting gift. What is next is all up to you. Hahahaha!!!

Riseos said as he brought forth 10 wings that look like an angel's except for its jet black color as he flew away. He then raised both of his hands as strings of darkness ascended towards the sky until it's ends cannot be seen anymore. A grumbling noise reverberated throughout the sky as the clouds split apart revealing a black sphere that is as big as a mountain was heading towards them. The soldiers behind us couldn’t help but shake in fear as their faces turned pale. They were cursing their luck for encountering the Demon King at such an early time as Nelus suddenly said.

Nelus: I leave it to you.

Rezald: You can count on me Bro Nelus!

Rezald said with a grin as he used the blunt part of the spear and smacked the ground as a highly condensed earth covered them completely in the shape of a dome. The only one left outside was Nelus. Rezald understood what Nelus was saying as he saw the devastating effects of that sphere. Even if their walls weren’t damaged, the particles it released as it rained upon the soldiers killed so many. Nelus used Pyro Force as flames appeared throughout the surroundings as they converge towards Nelus and formed a glove like figure around Nelus’ arm.

Nelus then jumped up as his eyes turned red as he then used spatial magic to propel him further. As he reached near the gigantic sphere, flames started to spirals the spikes on Nelus’ flame clad hand as he then punched the sphere leaving a booming noise loud enough for the ground to shake. As the sphere disperses to millions of particles, it rained heavier than the ones from before as each contact with the ground shattered it. But what was truly impressive was, as the particles rained upon the dome on the ground the dome remained unscathed. As the particles stopped raining, Rezald disperses the dome and let out a sigh of relief.

???: I’m alive… I’m alliiiivveee!!!

???: Captain Rezald is so awesome!

???: Commander Nelus is more than exceptional!!

???: With them here our safety is assured.

Nelus: Rezald, I’ll go back to the school what would you do?

Hearing Nelus the soldiers around them couldn’t help but become nervous as they were stationed here so they are not allowed to leave until the fortress is done. Rezald then said...

Rezald: I’ll stay here for a while and help them rebuild the fortress.

They all cheered in their hearts as they then head to the fortress and continued their work, Rezald then waves as he heads back towards their direction. I then used my spatial magic to fly and head back to Lux Academy while destroying the beings of darkness soldiers along the way. Upon arriving at Lux Academy, he head towards his classroom as 5 people were waiting for him dressed in armor.

Olpa: Captain Olpa speaking! Greetings commander!!

Olpa said while saluting towards Nelus as Nelus returns the gesture as they had a wry smile as they aren’t use to things being like this with Nelus.

Rido: Commander, I heard that the fortress was suddenly attacked?

Nelus: Yes.

Fios: So!! So!! How did it go?

Fios said excitedly as his eyes were sparkling, anticipating to hear what Nelus has to say.

Nelus: It turned out alright though it was a surprise to encounter the Demon King there.

Fios: Y-you fought with the demon king!?

Fios said as he was starting to shiver in excitement as he was always hot blooded towards a battle. Kana then approached them and said…

Kana: How scary was he?

Nelus: He weird but strong as well, he is someone not to be underestimated.

Cheil then approached me and stood behind me as if guarding my life as usual. I then asked Cheil.

Nelus: Why didn’t you join another’s division?

Cheil: It is because you’re mine so I’ll stay.

Cheil said with an indifferent face as Nelus sighed, they then heard call their team which was named “Luxia” which means, light’s gift. They then headed toward the direction where they heard it as it seems it was coming from the principal’s office. Upon arriving Andros greeted them as Andros said…

Andros: Sorry for troubling you a little, I heard you came across someone powerful.

Nelus: What did you call us for?

Andros: Hahaha! Fine, it is for your team to investigate the Dark Valley though be careful as it seems the enemy has set up camp near there.

Nelus: Understood.

Fios: Finally a mission!!

Fios said as he spun around the room awkwardly with satisfaction on his face. Olpa then said…

Olpa: Commander. We await your orders!!

Kana: Eh!? Wait, this is too scary…

Kana said as she went slightly pale, afraid to lose her life early as Rido patted her shoulders.

Rido: It’ll be okay there are 6 of us after all.

As we head towards the school entrance, we noticed that everyone was still training as Olpa and the others look at them with admiration. Upon our departure I lift them up using my special magic as suddenly… they disappeared, leaving shockwaves as everyone’s heart shook because of its sheer power.

While flying, most of their faces went green as it seems what Rezald said about my flying skills were right as my flying was indeed truly terrifying as they couldn’t handle it anymore because of the otherworldly speed I displayed.

As we go further we found a small village surrounded by soldiers from the enemy as it seems there were a few thousands of them.

Kana: What do we do now?

Fios: Sneak in of course!

Fios said as if it was the easiest thing to do as he grinned until Rido said.

Rido: And how are we going to do that?

Olpa: Rido is right… do you have any plans?

Fios suddenly became downhearted as he looks down trying to think of what they need to do.

Nelus then walks towards a group of soldiers from the enemy but before they can react Nelus punches them unconscious and took their clothes as Nelus said.

Nelus: Is this enough?

Everyone stared at Nelus, dumbfounded as they reached for suits while exchanging each one to see who fits who. As they finish Olpa said.

Olpa: What’s next commander?

Nelus: try to find as much clue as you can and don’t approach the other soldiers and only speak when it is needed.

It could be said that the soldiers started to dwindle as fewer and fewer came as it seems Nelus defeated them all without a problem. As for Olpa and the others…

Olpa rushed towards the two demons as she tries to quickly finis the three like Nelus but failed as their swords were heading towards her. Olpa and the others split to two, it was Kana and Rido, and Olpa and Fios. Fios then bloacks their sword and pushed three back to see if Olpa was okay as she then nodded. As for Cheil and Rido, Rido finally noticed that Cheil was gone as he sighed and prompt to continue as it was quite obvious that Cheil’s intention was following Nelus from the start.

As Nelus encountered a hundred of them and quickly defeated them with only one punch each as each of them laid on the ground. Noticing the commotion a few thousands came and couldn’t contain their happiness as they haven’t had blood before, so they pounced towards Nelus. They are mostly consisted of the vampire race.

As I was preparing to punch, Cheil then appeared as she kept killing and killing while plenty shook in fear at her battle prowess as she was holding her mana weapon, a pair of bladed fans in which I used my God’s Eyes on.

Twin Fans , Jeryies Type:Twin Fans, Mana WeaponDurability:?? / ??Quality:SA pair of bladed fans that are created by mysterious materials. It is said that the previous users used it to secretly assassinate after dancing in front of the target.

As the people were seeing her as a threat they shifted their attention towards hers as Nelus started to move. As Nelus saw quite a lot of openings he exploited it as their fell at a greater pace than before. Nelus would punch their faces off as Cheil cast magic while taking out each other’s weaknesses. Cheil then noticed that it seems there were some archers with them so when they released their arrows she used Reflection strike as it knocks down the arrows while changing its trajectory towards the other soldiers. Cheil then used Bladed Wind as she gracefully swung her twin fans creating multiple sharp wind blades heading towards the archers killing them all.

Nelus: Where is Olpa and the others?

Nelus thought as he scanned throughout the area and found out that they were cornered by the soldiers. He then decided to fly there and decided to help.

Olpa: This is bad... we are getting pushed back!!

Fios: Grruaahh!!

Fios shouted as he fiercely slashes at them defeating them all as he was panting so hard as another group came as he thought while gritting his teeth…

Fios: There are too many of them what should we do?

Rido: Of course, fight more.

Rido said as he tried to push back the beasts using his magic. Rido then used Lux Burst as a form of light exploded to pressure the opponent but instead it brought out the fury in their hearts as they start to attack.

Olpa: This is getting bad.

Fios: Move out of the way! I can still fight!

Rido: As for me I can still hold on!

Kana: No! I’ll heal you first!

Kana said while panting as she finally made it towards them. As she was getting near a blade headed towards her. Kana was shocked as it forced to close her eyes, she was surprised to see that there weren’t any pain at all. As she opens her eyes Nelus was in front of her as he was holding the blade with his lightning clad hands and annihilated them.

After defeating all of them, we decided to rest a bit before heading towards the great valley. It seems there aren’t anything found within their bodies so we decided to continue our rest while Olpa and the others seems refreshed.

After some time has passed we finally reached the Dark Valley as it seems there was a giant trench in the middle as suddenly… a huge amount of beings of darkness, soldiers appeared in hopes to defeat Nelus and the others using their advantage in numbers.
