What exactly is soul?

Before breaking through to Foundation.

This body didn't even have one.

But this isn't true for everyone else.

They are born with a soul.

But where does this soul come from?

It comes from his law Nature.

Even plants have a soul.

Even the world has a soul.

Soul is birthed from will.

Intent.

The world's will gives the natives on this planet a soul.

The soul simply uses the body as a medium to think.

Upon death...

Since there wasn't a recycling system.

The soul would go to the abyss.

Where it would then be erased.

Zero had the perfect vessel to experiment on.

Himself!

Well not his main body in Dimension Zero.

The mortal body he made for himself on this planet.

Zero had gotten enough inspiration from the natives of his world.

It was now time for him to build his very own power system.

So he began the outline.

This is what he came up with:

Body Cultivation.

Spirit Cultivation.

Soul Cultivation.

These are the three major steps to his power system.

These are then broken down into smaller steps.

For body cultivation.

You have six steps.

Engraving.

Ground breaking.

Excavation.

Foundation.

Core

Immortal Body.

While these steps may have the same name as previous steps.

They are somewhat different in design and efficacy.

Instead of using environmental spiritual energy.

While engraving.

You will breakthrough the ten points with blood.

This method doesn't require one to have a dantian.

One will naturally form from blood during the engraving period.

You are engraving your dantian into existence.

After you have completed your dantian.

You will do the ground breaking.

During this period you will configure a perception rune into the ground of your dantian.

After this is Excavation.

You will open up a hole from the inside by chipping away at your dantians core.

Then there is Foundation.

Where you will use the chipped dantian bits to make a pillar.

Qi will leak from this pillar.

But the next step involves melting this pillar into a Core.

You will then have a perfect generator of spiritual energy.

The last step of body cultivation is Immortal Body.

This is something completely original that Zero has made for himself.

Immortal Body:

You will create a copy of your consciousness and crystalize it at six points in the body.

In the brain.

In the hands.

In the feet.

In the heart.

You then have these crystalized brains powered by mental energy.

He had gotten this idea from Owtz.

With an Immortal Body.

You will survive even having your head chopped off.

Next is Spiritual Cultivation.

It is during this stage where you develop your spiritual body.

Your soul is constantly giving off energy.

You use some of that energy to form a phantom.

Build this phantom up in strength over time and it will be able to leave your body.

Next is Soul Cultivation.

It is here that Zero took a page out of Owtz's book.

Instead of piercing the soul and damaging it.

He is doing what the cultivators in this world have done.

Shielding it.

But instead of having a single layer of shields.

There will be multiple layers with different intents.

This process will have four stages.

Body.

Mind.

Illusion.

Consciousness.

During the Body stage. You will be merging the nerves of your body with your soul. This will give you god-like controllability of your body.

During the Mind stage. You will be creating another soul to overlap your brain.

You will do this for each brain crystal as well.

During the Illusion stage. You will be installing a white room space in your soul that prevents hijacking by higher beings.

During Consciousness stage. You will create a copy of your consciousness and convert it to a wave that shoots back and forth in the core of your main soul.

If the soul is shattered.

This wave will escape.

This wave will eventually dissipate.

During the consciousness stage, you will make an anchor body with a soul with the opposite wave of your consciousness bouncing between the core of its soul.

The wave will be attracted to this opposite wave, which will then revive you.

Zero then decided to destroy his dantian.

Then recultivate up using his improved cultivation method.

Since he used blood instead of Qi.

This method can be easily used in other worlds.

Even in worlds that lack spiritual energy.

The key to spiritual cultivation is to use the excess energy from the soul as well as mental energy from the mind.

To create a phantom.

Zero successfully got to Immortal Body.

He passed the tribulation easily.

He then successfully cultivated his spirit.

And then his soul.

At this point his lifespan would be thousands of years.

Even without the chaos energy he had saved.

So he found a nice quiet spot.

Then waited a millennium for technology to progress.

He left his cave.

Went to a random town.

Then bought the technology he would need.

He wished to experiment on consciousness.

He had to exchange a decent amount of wealth in his storage dimension for currency.

But he eventually was able to buy the warehouse and equipment he needed.

In combination with ECHO.

He began to design a genome that would surpass that of a zero.

Zero wanted the genes in his future body to naturally form formations on the bones and skull.

Formations like hardening and defense.

He also designed the bodies so that they would naturally cultivate the same as breathing.

The chaos in his body had long since disappeared.

He could feel this mortal body aging.

It turned out it was no longer timeless when it was disconnected from his main body.

He was on a clock!

A few centuries went by.

His hair was now grey and his face was full of wrinkles.

He could also feel a trace of weakness.

"So this is what aging feels like... it's quite horrible!"

Zero was glad that this was just a random body he pinched into existence.

But realizing that his end was approaching.

It scared not him.

But the soul that was him.

During these years he had successfully made a wave bounce in the core of his soul.

He had also made some nanites that were only compatible with the being he made in the growth vat.

His laboratory was full of growth vats as well as genetic assemblers.

He had handcrafted a new body for himself.

He had also studied the soul of the body in the vats as they grew up.

It seemed a soul appeared the moment the heart started beating.

The revival mechanism was hardcoded into their genome.

He was experimenting with this dying body.

Zero wanted to see just how hard everyone else had it.

Just how much work would it take for someone to become eternal.

He had found his answer.

It was TOO EASY!

Designing a brand new Genome.

Studying the relationship between soul and consciousness.

Coding in a mechanism for revival and soul manipulation.

Not just anyone would be able to do it.

A few more hundreds year went by.

He had hundreds of growth vats.

He died from his organs failing.

He had died due to old age.

His consciousness woke up in one of the growth vats.
