Chronos tried restarting Zero.
He even had the idea to go back in time all the way to Zero's birth.
Then kill this problem in the cradle.
Or prevent him from being born all together.
But for some reason... he was blocked as if by a barrier.
It was as if this Zero had existed in the time stream for ALL time.
A blue clock would intercept him and keep him from finding his origin.
"How can a mortal cut off the abilities of a god?"
Zero remained aware and didn't lose focus.
Even when he died.
He would just return to the start of the loop.
Zero then noticed.
Because of his timeless existence.
He had infinite stamina.
You might think he was disconnected from the matrix and would run out of energy.
But you would be wrong.
He just opened up a microscopic portal using nanites to Projekt Paradox.
So not only does he have infinite stamina.
He has infinite energy as well.
Well, the energy of the entire world.
He abused his reload quite a bit.
But eventually.
After mastering their attack patterns.
He never died.
Even without advancing to rank 4.
He battled them for an entire year.
No more deaths.
No matter what they did to him, it was useless.
During this year, he built a steady foundation.
Then broke through to rank 4 without using his emergency protocol.
He wasn't able to explore constant time, since Chronos would just pull him out of it.
He would have to explore it later.
After experiencing their attacks for an entire year.
He had come up with a method of reflecting it.
You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author.
He held out his hand and pinched one of their attacks.
He then waved the attack collecting all of the energy shot at him.
He spun around and threw it at a god.
The god lost their head and dropped into the void.
Zero wished he had Gaia's ability to shatter and manifest, such an ability would allow him to steal their laws.
At this point the gods attacks were getting slower and slower.
"What is with this human? Does he not tire?"
"I do not tire. I can do this for eternity."
Another god scoffed.
"You can not fathom eternity."
"Trust me. I can."
"Don't force me to use my ability 'time skip'!"
"Time Skip?"
First it was a year without dying.
Then two years.
Five years.
Ten years.
Twenty years.
A hundred years!
Zero remained on autopilot at this point.
He didn't experience anything after the first year.
He had gotten all the insight he could.
Then just used 'Time Skip'.
After a century... the gods realized that maybe... just maybe. This human wasn't bluffing!
Maybe he could fight for eternity...
No. That couldn't be possible.
Humans could never wrap their minds around the infinite.
He is bluffing.
He'll tire any second.
He'll die from age eventually.
Humans are fragile and short lived.
Ten thousand years passed!
Zero continued to fight them.
He had a smile on his face and looked fairly relaxed.
But the gods looked anything but so.
Their lavish clothes were tattered.
Some of them had died.
Chronos had turned into a lunatic.
Muttering strange words and cursing Zero.
The attacks stopped.
They gave up.
Zero sat there dumbfounded.
Where had all of them gone?
He used time skip.
So the ten thousand years was nothing to him.
He was a little disappointed.
"You guys let a mere ten thousand years stop you? Back in my day, I would spend millions of years just for a chance to ascend planes. Kids these days... what a shame."
Then Chronos appeared in front of him.
Zero said:
"That's the spirit, let's go another round!"
Chronos spoke:
"I SEE! I SEE! You really had me there for a second. Your soul is disguised as a mortal... but your body is anything but. Your body has perfectly resonated with time. If I steal your body. I too can have perfect time compatibility!"
"What?"
Zero laughed a little confused.
"Steal my body? You're out of your mind!"
Chronos began to laugh as well.
Then he invaded Zero's body.
Zero's eyes turned into clocks.
"You done goofed."
----------------------------------------
Chronos POV:
"It can't be..."
I tried stealing the body of a mortal.
Where in the hell am I?
"It has been a long time since I've eaten a god."
I saw a blue clock.
But a mouth appeared on it and I was pulled into it.
Briefly...
I saw a giant clock and a yellow abomination wrapped around it.
"What are you?"
"Food shouldn't talk"
MUNCH.
----------------------------------------
[ECHO]: 'Time' Comprehension has reached 1%
Zero used his soul artifact to consume the will of Chronos.
Zero tried to consume all of him.
But he ran away.
"Hey! You can't just run away! Didn't you want to steal my body? Why did you change your mind? I'm such a defenseless mortal with a body that resonates with time... you're missing out!"
Zero was very disappointed.
He expected the will power of the gods to be a tad bit stronger.
This is simply pathetic.
Only lasting for a mere ten thousand years.
Zero adjusted the settings on his watch and teleported back to Projekt Paradox.
His clothes were not in the best shape.
Ten thousand years had taken a toll on them.
He was almost naked.
So he changed into a new set.
It was now time for him to experience constant time properly without having that annoying Chronos stop him.
Zero first called his servant and had everyone come to his lab.
It was bittersweet.
But he may not be returning to this reality for a long time.
He put his servant Johnathan who had been with him since the beginning in charge.
He set up a direction for each departments research.
He talked with each of his employees about what they hoped for in the future.
One of his employees voiced his concerns.
"You make it sound like you are going off to die. Where are you going?"
Zero spoke:
"I will be exploring constant time. I will possibly be visiting another reality all together. I wish you all the best of luck in your journeys... Bye!"
With that Zero enabled his emergency protocol.
He waved at everyone and they waved back as he turned into white light and exploded.
