Zero clicked the crown at 6:66 PM and returned to his bridge
He had returned to the chaos realm.
Why, might you ask?
Well... it is to build his 'pocket dimension'.
He could just find a desolate place in the world to store his stuff.
Set up a formation and be done with it.
Functionally, that would work just fine.
But only in that single world.
But just imagine.
Imagine someone finding his 'vault' of loot and belongings.
He would get robbed...
But if he stored things in the chaos realm.
Not only would it be impossible for anyone to steal from him.
It 'should' allow him to access it from anywhere.
He searched through all the books he had saved on ECHO.
Trying to find a way to make a pocket dimension.
But most books chalked it up to being rank 4 or higher.
You typically need to be a rank 4+ to make your own pocket dimension.
If he simply stored his stuff in a room by his bridge.
What if another Paradox found his bridge?
Unlikely... but could he really trust himself?
If he saw mountains of loot...
He'd probably rob another version of himself for sure!
If he's thinking like this, the others surely are too.
Maybe he should just ask Gaia.
No, he has only 3 uses of the brand and was told not to come to him for trivial issues.
Having a pocket dimension is purely a quality of life improvement.
It isn't needed.
I also must experiment to see if formations work in the chaos realm.
He could clearly feel every single element in abundance.
It felt as if there was an infinite amount of all of the energy particles around him.
He still was unable to cast spells.
Making spell models was something only a level 2+ acolyte was able to do.
This content has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
But he could manipulate the particles.
He could also infuse his mana into formations to activate them.
Zero spent a few years testing out portal formations.
It was a success!
The end product was completely different then what he had developed in Owtz's universe.
He had invented a multiversal travel formation.
This meant he could connect to it while in another world.
Although he could not connect to the other world with it.
This means he can open up a 'one way' portal.
He can open a portal from the worlds side.
But not from the chaos realm.
For some reason, the formation wouldn't activate from the chaos realms side.
But it would activate from outside of the chaos realm.
So now, even without the watch. He can open up a portal to one of his formations in the chaos realm.
He'll just need to use his bridge to get back.
But this does mean he is halfway done with what is needed for his storage dimension.
He spent a few more years designing his pocket dimension.
He used nanites to make a fingernail sized cube and engraved a large formation that would span miles at a microscopic level.
This would have been entirely impossible to do without nanites.
You could say, he is the only person in the world that would be able to pull it off.
He actually pulled off making a pocket dimension.
It was only about as big as a small bedroom.
On the floor was the formation needed to open up a gateway.
A thought then arose, an irresistible temptation.
He went through the closest door to him and ended up floating above a volcano.
Luckily he could fly now.
He didn't need to wait until 6:66 PM or AM.
Since he had already put a formation at the center of his bridge.
He modified the formation on his wrist using nanites to open up a portal to the cubes pocket dimension.
He then modified the formations parameters on his wrist again.
This time leading to the chaos realm.
Both portals would still be open until they ran out of mana or were collapsed by him using the formation.
He had a few minutes to try to pull this off.
He went into the chaos realm using the portal.
Found his cube.
Then threw it through the portal to the world.
He then went to the world and threw it into the pocket dimension.
What would happen exactly, when the pocket dimension was holding itself?
Immediately the laws of Space in the world he was in collapsed.
He felt as if he was crushed.
The world around him was warping.
A wormhole was forming right at where the portal to his storage dimension was.
He was pulled in.
As he got closer to the center.
The world he was in was completely destroyed.
He died shortly afterwards.
----------------------------------------
I then find myself in the abyss.
The tattoo on my wrist is gone.
My nanites are still there.
Their programming carried over because of echo.
I check my properties.
[ECHO]: {Name: "Zero #119", Species: Abyssal Paradox (Human), Energy: 1 GR, Strength: 11, Vitality: 21, Nanites: 3.14164e+14. Mana: 0/60, Spirit: 999, Soul: 99}
My progress as a wizard carried over.
But the mana that my chain was holding dissipated.
I inscribe my portal tattoo on my wrist.
Then set the parameters to the cube that I had did the experiment with.
I mean... there's no risk right?
If I die, I'll just reform in the abyss.
I try to activate the formation.
But I have no mana.
"Wow... if I didn't have that watch... I would truly be trapped."
I pull out the watch.
Then twist it three times quickly to get it to stop at 6:66.
I then click the crown.
I find myself at my bridge.
Immediately my mana starts to fill up.
I walk along the path until I find myself at an obsidian door.
I walk through it, and it closes behind me.
This should lead back to that village.
But instead I find I am in the middle of a grand hall.
This appears to be a party.
I see some people are even matching my clothes a bit.
Somebody walks up to me.
"Wow man, your costume of Zero is spot on!"
"Yea! Doesn't he look like Zero?"
"I mean... his costume isn't as great as mine. But he sure does resemble him."
What the hell is going on?
I keep a confident smile on my face and thank them for their 'compliments'.
I walk to the counter with food and help myself to a plate.
Just some basic fruits and crackers.
I eavesdrop a bit and find out what this is.
It turns out the village that used to be here has turned into a town.
It also just so happens that someone is hosting a costume party.
Where people dress up as their idol from history.
It turns out its been thousands of years since I left.
But my name remained in the history books.
There was even a portrait of me on the wall...
