2: Chapter 15: Soul Artifact

Leo's POV:

I don't know why it happened.

All I remember is losing all my senses.

Then seeing endless lines.

I reached out towards them.

Then my senses returned.

I thought I was special.

But it seemed everyone had experienced losing their senses.

But nobody had experienced seeing those 'lines'.

It was then that I noticed...

I could still see them.

I tried grabbing one.

It worked... I pinched one and managed to pull it.

What I didn't expect to happen was it pulling back!

I was pulled into something

I saw a man in a lab coat standing atop millions of similar lines.

He was surrounded by titans.

They were bombarding him with all manners of attacks.

But he stood invincible.

I then found myself back in my home.

The lines were gone.

"What was that?"

I had no idea what I had just experienced.

But something told me... the world would be different because of that man.

I then realized something more shocking...

I had gained the power to change the world!

----------------------------------------

Zero thought it was unfortunate that he had run out of GR.

If he had just a few more.

He could directly construct a cultivation system for him to follow in this world.

Now he supposed the world will would have to.

Zero was rank 0.

He planned to break through to rank 1.

The problem was...

There was no rank 1 yet.

It was impossible.

But it was his job to do the impossible.

Just like he could still manipulate his body through intent.

With his new artifact.

He had a few new functions that would be essential for fighting the gods.

The first function of the watch was a brand new ability.

Remember when he trapped himself in a loop while the universe was doing a restart?

Well, now he had a much grander loop.

Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings.

A multiversal loop.

Instead of looping the abyss and returning to it on death.

He now had a new ability he named 'Save Point'.

As well as the ability 'Reload'.

The name was inspired from his other abilities like plot armor and time skip.

Using save point, he could curve all of reality and anchor himself to a specific time.

He could then return to this point using reload.

What did this mean?

Instead of returning to the abyss upon death.

He would return to his save point.

What did it being multiversal do?

It made it so that other entities would have no way to track back his origin.

In other words, they would have no idea he was using a time loop.

Another one of those new functions was the ability to manipulate soul through intent.

He went down to the basement of his building.

He then created a fake soul wave, and revived one of the vats.

It was still braindead.

But it matched his soul.

He programmed some basic A.I into it.

The purpose for doing all of this?

The purpose is time!

He doesn't have enough time to get strong enough to fight literal gods.

They would be closing in on him in a few minutes.

He had saw his death through infinite outcomes.

He may be a Paradox.

But, a dead end is a dead end.

Or is it?!

He gave the vat grown body a time isolator.

It nodded its head at him and turned it on.

Zero then used his artifact to disguise his soul fluctuations, another one of its functions.

His soul fluctuations now matched that of an ordinary human.

Meanwhile... his decoy was traveling in negative time.

You think he only has one decoy?

Nope!

He no longer was as easy to kill as initially.

He didn't need these spare bodies.

He awoke all the other braindead bodies.

Giving each of them a time isolator.

Then as they activated it.

He portaled them to various spots across the world.

With all traces of him being in negative time.

With space also likely working different in the place without time.

Those gods would be hunting the fakes.

He now had time to breathe.

Zero felt like this worlds cultivation should be through his technology.

He had no idea how the world's system would evolve over time.

But what he could control was his approach.

So how could he currently make himself stronger?

Well to break down how he could do this.

Just take a look at other systems.

Owtz Eerth designed his system around the soul of the user.

Engraving runes on the layers of the soul as you get deeper and deeper.

This reality was super physical.

So maybe such an approach wouldn't work.

But this reality also had characters like Beam... who's DNA he happened to have.

He already was quite proficient in how DNA effects the soul.

But it was time to become Godlike at it.

That is what he did.

Zero entered a period of research.

All of his employees were also put on a 'crunch' time.

Thanks to the processing power of his main body.

He analyzed the secrets of DNA in this world within four hours.

Remember when he sent the teleportation schematic to himself?

Well... now he had added a setting for it to his time isolator.

Thanks to understanding the principles behind the DNA.

He could give himself abilities.

But that is useless.

It isn't enough to fight gods.

In their eyes, he might as well be learning party tricks.

He used the DNA in a different sense.

He created a framework using DNA for cultivation.

How this worked was essentially he made a rank 6 genome.

Instead of taking chunks of DNA and modifying the parts that matter.

You replace your entire genome with the rank 6 genome.

You then gradually change and evolve into a rank 6.

Starting at rank 0.

Working your way to rank 6.

As for how you advance?

Well you need a key for that.

As for what that key was?

It was the visualization technique every paradox had.

This method of cultivation is useless for others.

For multiple reasons.

The first being... if you aren't already timeless. You will experience gene collapse. The things that effect your traits are being thrown away. You'll soon find yourself no longer replicating and replacing cells.

The second being that you need to be an abyssal paradox. This is something that has nothing to do with genes.

The third being that you must rotate the visualization technique, something only a Paradox would ever have.

Zero created a machine that was a pod.

He stepped inside of it.

Then manually used his ability to manipulate data to target every cell in his body.

He also used his ability to manipulate his body through intent.

He then directly broke the chemical building blocks down into their basic parts.

He then reconstructed them.

There were a few traits he added.

The first being the rank 6 framework.

This took up the bulk of the data.

He had temporarily lost his invulnerability, flight, and super strength.

He still had the advantage of his technology though...

He was confident in surviving anything that comes his way.

Invulnerability? Flight? Super Strength?

Those would be regained as long as he cultivated a bit.

They would also scale better against the gods.

His previous invulnerability was destroyed by a mere observer.

His current flight couldn't go faster then sound.

As for his super strength? He could at most lift a few thousand tons.

He needed to be able to lift billions of tons!

These abilities he had were too weak.

Far too weak!

At this point, the amount he could fit inside his genome was becoming limited.

He cut out things relating to longevity and opted more for gene repair.

He was now timeless.

Age no longer mattered.

It was now time for him to breakthrough to rank 1!
