"It's been a long time old friend."
"Indeed. I was wondering where you went?"
"I forgot I didn't tell you. I've been in a higher reality."
"Higher reality?"
"Yea, I decided to map out the chaos realm and during the process I realized I was actually in a book."
"Oh yea, I found that out a couple million years ago."
"...nice, what rank are you at now?"
"I'm rank 8. What about you?"
"I'm rank 10."
"What?! I thought you were rank 9?"
"You think I've been idle all this time? Who knows... maybe I'll reach rank 11 soon."
"Bullshit!"
[ECHO]: Analyzing book
[ECHO]: "Time Walker"
[ECHO]: 3: Chapter 5: Obsidian
As soon as Zero broke through to chapter 5 and saw the title... he realized he was now powerful enough to reverse Obsidians existence.
Obsidian had sacrificed himself to save Zero when he was fighting Owtz.
Zero reached his hand out and tapped into a place that simply didn't exist.
Obsidian formed right then and there by Werlin and Zero.
"...Where am I?"
"That's a tough question. You are technically in book 1 of time walker. As for where you are specifically..."
Werlin spoke:
"You're in my imaginary plane. How does it feel to be revived from having your entire existence erased across reality?"
"The last thing I remember was getting hit by that man's attack."
"Yep. You were wiped out completely. Not even surviving in the abyss."
"How am I here?"
"I can reach places that don't even exist. I pulled you right out of nothing."
"Whaaaaat... you must be rank 8 now!"
"Nah... that isn't anywhere near close to the strength to be able to do what I just did."
"Rank 9?!"
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
"You're close."
"Rank 10?..."
"Yep!"
"Master! Can you help me reach rank 10?"
"Hmm... I can make you a rank 9. As for rank 10... I obviously can't just make infinite rank 10's..."
Werlin then spoke:
"Hey! If you're making him rank 9. Don't forget about me!"
"You aren't my student though..."
"Hey! Remember how I developed 'Eternal Rest'. Without that... you would still be rank 6."
Zero laughed.
"You're right."
Zero snapped his fingers and Obsidian and Werlin both broke through to rank 9.
They then began to transform into eldritch entities.
"WOW!"
"WHAT!"
"THIS POWER!"
"I'M OMNIPOTENT"
Zero rolled his eyes.
"There... are you guys happy?"
"Yep... thanks."
"I never thought I would reach rank 9."
"I am now a legend."
Zero spent some time teaching them how to control their power and new laws.
He then taught them how to transform back into their human forms.
"Well... it is time for me to go. I have a book to breakthrough."
Obsidian spoke:
"Wait! Where are you going?"
Zero realized he hadn't explained the situation to Obsidian, and that he was left in the dark.
So Zero explained some of his journey to him.
"I see... can I also ascend books?"
"Hmm... that is tricky. I suppose I could force you to reincarnate into the next world. But you'll have to reach the peak yourself."
"My existence is special and I have a lot of abilities that let me keep my power and body in the new realities. You guys haven't even gotten to rank 9 on your own. You would drop back to rank 0 upon going to the next book."
"But you are now strong enough to send an avatar. You can split off some of your soul and have it reincarnate in book 2. But I'm currently in book 3 and I doubt you'll make it so far."
Werlin spoke:
"You have so much faith in us..."
"Hey! When I was rank 9... I had to spend millions upon millions of years for a chance at being born in book 2. You guys are already trying to skip everything. I'll give you a brand of my power. This will allow you to condense your sea of consciousness and be born in book 2. As for whether or not you can find me... that'll depend on your destiny."
"Destiny?"
Zero explained destiny to them and then read theirs.
"Werlin... your destiny is eternal."
"Obsidian... your destiny is perfect."
"These aren't the best to have. Werlin's is a bit better."
"What is your destiny?"
"I am at the top... I'm mysterious."
"How did you get that destiny?"
"I took some risk and got a little lucky. I have something I call 'plot armor'."
"I'll cya guys later!"
With that, Zero vanished.
He then appeared in front of Forma.
Time for book 3 resumed.
Forma asked:
"I just felt a disturbance in time... was that you?"
"It was a random enemy I had to fight."
"What rank where they?"
Zero almost misspoke and said rank 10.
"They were at rank 9."
"What is this? A rank 9 bargain sale? Since when did so many rank 9's appear out of nowhere?"
"I mean... it's only two more."
"..."
"So... we were talking about being in a book?"
"Yes, I have a way to breakthrough to the next book."
"Next book? Don't you mean reality?"
Zero sighed.
"The author has trapped me in a loop of multiple books. I have seen beyond this and know how to escape it. But until I breakthrough all of the books... I won't reach reality."
"What's the point in progressing the story? We are at the pinnacle already."
"Hmm... I suppose you can stay here. I don't plan on stopping though. I always accomplish my goals."
"And one of those goals is to become real. I plan to put the author in a book."
"Let him have a taste of his own medicine."
"So what's your plan?"
"Well... I plan to go into a time stream and accumulate more chapters."
"So I'll need an I.D if you don't wish me to kill the law enforcement."
Forma snapped his fingers.
Then he stared at Zero with wide eyes.
"You don't have a soul..."
Zero quickly made a new soul once again.
Then used temporal edit to make it 30 million years old.
"Alright. Give me the I.D now."
Forma snapped his fingers and a brand was put on Zero's soul.
"With this you have the highest authority. You now have the permit required to enter any time stream."
