3: Chapter 16: Potions

"You think he's too good for me?"

"No. I meant what I said literally, separate realities."

Zero didn't bother hiding this information, since he could just restart if it backfired.

He trusted his friends.

Even though he only knew them for 2 years.

Alura kept bugging Zero everyday after finding out he could just will things into existence.

He eventually accepted the fact that he would be learning about potions.

[ECHO]: 3: Chapter 16: Potions

He read through all the books under Alura's scrutiny.

"See... it's interesting isn't it?! Now let's test your ability."

"Alright..."

"First make 'Dragon's Clove'."

Zero pointed his finger at the table by Alura.

He used his law of Creation.

A golden leaf appeared.

Zero's eyes widened.

He could feel an energy radiating off this leaf.

He thought to himself:

"GR?!"

"I can create GR!"

Alura inspected the leaf.

"This isn't Dragon's Clove... this is just a leaf."

Zero smirked.

You weren't dealing with an ordinary leaf.

This was a leaf made of GR!

This is divinity.

The stuff of laws.

But to others it appeared as just a golden leaf.

Zero sighed.

He waved his hand and used his law of destruction.

Erasing the leaf from existence.

"I can't do it. Do you have some real life examples?"

"Ohhhh! I'll be right back."

An hour later...

She came back with an entire cart full of herbs and plants.

"I stole these from my teacher. We'll need to replace them later. You better succeed this time!"

She gave Zero the dragons clove.

Zero rubbed it around in his hand.

He held it up to his nose and smelled it.

It smelled like charcoal.

"Now try to make it."

Zero waved his hand.

A dragon's clove appeared in it.

Alura shouted:

"Success!"

"Where did you even acquire such an ability?"

Zero laughed:

"That's a long story."

"I have time."

"... You really don't."

Alura had Zero go through every herb.

He was able to create all of them.

She then showed him the process of making potions.

She even had him try to make some of his own.

But something shocking happened.

His law 'Impulse' activated while trying to make the potion.

It was a basic strength potion.

On his very first attempt.

He brewed a perfect potion.

Alura looked at Zero in shock.

"It took me 100 attempts to make the potion the first time. You're a genius. No I'm a genius... you're a monster!"

After seeing Zero's 'skill'.

She decided to do more difficult potions.

They had unlimited supplies after all.

But Zero never made a single mistake.

It was as if he was a machine.

This was 'Impulse'.

It gave the user perfect action.

Alura's POV:

Alura had an insane idea.

Seeing that Zero was unable to fail...

"It's almost as if you can't fail! I purposefully sabotaged some of the ingredients, and you still managed to make a perfect potion."

Alura suspected that Zero had secretly studied without her.

So she had made up a completely fictional potion.

The potion was called 'Relive'.

This was an imaginary potion with the effect that is able to bring someone back from the dead.

She expected Zero to fail.

But he made it successfully!

"Is he able to bend the universe to his will? How was he able to craft a potion that doesn't even exist?"

"Maybe... it doesn't work?"

She had Zero read the description of the potion and had him use the 'correct' ingredients.

She didn't think he would actually succeed.

But he did!

She brought back a special bird meant for testing potions.

It had already died from a previous experiment earlier in the day.

She dripped some of the potion on the bird.

It revived!

"This! That's impossible!"

She then had Zero make a couple dozen of these 'Relive' potions.

She went back to her teacher and had him study them in depth.

"Truly a marvel of potioneering! The technique used in combining such contradictory ingredients together to make... what...?"

"This can't be right. This composition. It is as if a god of potions has created it from the blood of titans! Alura! Where did you get this potion?!"

Zero had told her to keep it a secret.

"I'm not allowed to say..."

"Alura! This could change everyone's lives... this potion, it is an exceptional healing potio-"

"It's not a healing potion!"

"It can bring people back from the dead..."

"Nonsense! That's stepping into the territory of the gods..."

"Don't believe me?"

Alura walked to a cage.

She opened it up and grabbed the teachers pet.

"Alura! You know that is my favorite pet!"

Alura snapped its neck.

"..."

"Just watch!"

She poured the potion over the bird.

Its injuries recovered and it was revived.

"This...!"

"Alura, I'm not joking... I need to know who made this potion."

"I promised I wouldn't say..."

Whisk's POV:

I have been a potioneering master for nearly a century.

I have seen many miracles throughout my journey.

But never have I seen a potion that can revive the dead.

"How long exactly can this potion work for?"

He had seen it bring something back that had just died.

But what about a corpse that has been dead for years?

Whisk thought back to his fathers ashes.

His student had given him five of these miraculous potions.

He poured the potion into his father's ashes.

He didn't expect it to do anything.

But the vase broke.

The ashes began to go through a reversal process.

Reviving his father!

What whisk didn't know was that his father had reincarnated already.

Many years ago.

When he revived him...

The potion pulled his soul from his reincarnated body and brought him back to life.

"Where am I?"

The man looked at his hands.

"This body! I'm back!"

Whisk hugged his father.

"Whoever made this potion..."
