2: Chapter 11: Battle

Transcendent Mind's POV:

"Cosmic Slayer has said it is a success. We can attack!"

"Wait, let me read his mind!"

Godkin ignored me and said:

"Without any powers, he will be easily squashed by me."

Beam spoke:

"We must remember, his technology is advanced. Be careful and don't do anything rash."

Godkin flew into the building and crashed into Zero.

Sending him flying out of the building.

He then slammed him on the ground.

Something weird happened though...

A film surrounded both of them. They then started to vibrate.

They disappeared!

Beam spoke:

"Dammit, he didn't listen to a word I said!"

"Where did they go?"

Three minutes later.

Zero reappeared.

But... Godkin was gone.

Everyone was speaking telepathically.

"Read his next move!"

And so I invaded Zero's mind.

I saw infinite versions of himself.

So many different timelines.

I saw a being which had comprehended the universe.

This wasn't human.

I whispered:

"Just what the hell are YOU?"

I then got a severe headache.

My brain then exploded.

----------------------------------------

Zero could feel something invade his mind.

He allowed them to browse his memories.

He was curious at what would happen.

He looked at the girl reading his mind.

She went in a daze... whispered something.

Enjoying this book? Seek out the original to ensure the author gets credit.

Then her head exploded.

Zero spoke:

"Two down. I didn't even have to do anything!"

"You guys are extremely weak."

Indestructo charged at me and tried punching me.

I used my nanites to portal some of the Average Mans blood into his system.

He watched in horror as I crushed his fist and then punched him into a bloody mist.

"Three down."

I slowed down my perception of time and used Average Mans blood to strip everyone of their powers.

Beam tried to leave but found out he couldn't

He spoke:

"So you even have the ability to turn off peoples powers? When did you gain such an ability?"

"Truthfully... I don't have such an ability. You guys rely too heavily on your powers. I crushed all of you without using a single ability. I'll let this serve as a warning. Don't bother me. Or I will wipe all of you out."

"Can you reenable our powers?"

"I cannot..."

"..."

"They should come back online eventually... sorry haha."

The rest of the team walked away dejectedly.

They had thought they were taking out a threat to humanity.

But he toyed with them like they were children.

He then even spared their lives.

Truthfully... Zero only spared their lives for one reason.

God!

He did not wish to fight 'God'.

Having over 50 different powers.

Immune to Average Man.

As well as not having any DNA.

He was a monster to deal with.

It wasn't like Zero was trying to take over the world or anything.

He just wanted to understand this universe.

He just wished to find the author and teach him a lesson.

But he had shown Hidden Guardian a lesson in humility.

----------------------------------------

Transcendent Mind's POV:

I was revived by Doctor Lifeline.

They asked me what I had seen.

I told them.

"So you think Zero isn't even from our reality? Where did he come from then?"

"I saw memories of him creating the entire universe. I saw him manipulating time like it was child's play. I also saw him create blackholes and whiteholes like it was nothing. We must absolutely not antagonize him! He is a higher being! What happened while I was out?"

"He kicked all of our asses and then let us go with a warning."

"Should we ask God to kill him?"

"We still don't know what he did with Godkin. What if he did the same thing to God?"

Everyone got a shiver down their spine.

"That would be terrible..."

"We know from this fight that he has the ability to kill all of us. How he acquired such an ability remains a mystery. But if what Mind said is true... he may be some sort of eldritch horror that has invaded our reality somehow."

----------------------------------------

Zero wasn't going to just let them off with a warning.

You see... these guys wouldn't have their powers for awhile.

Wasn't the anomaly department desperate for those that were extraordinary?

Zero laughed evilly.

He anomalously sent information to Matilda's phone.

With the location of their hideout.

As well as mentioning their currently powerless state.

The anomaly department then raided their base and arrested most of the members.

It was then that God reacted.

Using brute force. He was able to take down the squad the anomaly department sent and rescue his members.

He was quite unsatisfied with his members lately.

They failed a mission... something that shouldn't happen with cosmic slayer.

They also somehow exposed his secret hideout.

He wasn't just disappointed.

He was pissed!

"Zero huh? I'll remember this."

Zero had figured he probably pissed off 'God'.

But if you wish to threaten him... there was a certain price you had to pay.

----------------------------------------

Zero decided to try to come up with countermeasures against God.

While he was busy building a bigger time isolator. He had an unexpected guest.

A homeless man had been constantly requesting to meet him.

He didn't plan on meeting him.

But his servant walked in and said:

"A man told me to tell you that he was Gaia. He said that you would want to meet him?"

Zero was immediately interested.

"We both entered the same reality?"

"Bring him up."

An old man met Zero.

Zero decided to test him.

"Do you know about my eyes?"

"I gave you your eyes, you little shit!"

"Yep. It's you!"

Gaia looked around the place.

"Man. You're doing way better then me. I was born into poverty this time. I never managed to leave it."

Zero began to laugh.

He didn't mean to be rude.

But he found it funny that a rank 9 had been reduced to such a state.

It was then that Gaia asked.

"How did you do it? How did you bring your body over without reincarnating?"

Zero then had a discussion with Gaia.
