2: Chapter 19: Constant Time

2: Chapter 19: Constant Time

Zero was now experiencing constant time.

Normally... one would not keep their senses, just like when one experiences negative time.

This would prevent the entity from exploring the river of time.

Or exploring beyond it

But this had changed for Zero when his soul artifact was constructed and he regained his authority as a Paradox.

He now held the qualifications to explore ALL time.

He didn't merely jump out of the river of time as a fish.

He flew outside of it like a bird.

He was able to see things no mortal should ever see.

He saw many streams of time.

Zero didn't jump into any at first.

He merely enjoyed the experience.

He thought about his journey to this point.

Even just the journey of this body.

'Tricking' the anomaly department.

Fighting the Hidden Guardians.

Fighting literal gods.

Developing portals, and time travel.

He was satisfied with his current gains.

But he was also itching to explore a new world.

But he wouldn't blindly hop into a reality.

He would first drink some of its water.

And view the general memories of the eternal keepsake that is time.

He wandered around from stream to stream.

He saw the information of many realities.

There was one ruled by priest, where gods walked the earth.

There was one full of super heroes.

There was one flooded with eldritch horrors where one could easily go insane.

There were medieval worlds with magic and knights.

There were regular medieval worlds.

If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

There were worlds with advanced technology.

There were worlds that had left their home planet and explored space.

There were all kinds of worlds.

The question was.

Which world should he choose?

Zero felt this experience was similar to the chaos realm.

Except far less chaotic.

Things were ordered here.

He could enter any reality at any time he wanted to.

He didn't even need the help of his eyes.

The thing is... his ability to explore constant time itself isn't his own.

It is from his time isolator.

Technology he developed.

He lacked a storage dimension.

So he only carried the one on him.

If something were to happen to it... he would be stranded until he developed the technology again.

This could be easy if he picked a technologically advanced civilization.

Or it could be a nightmare if he picked a younger world.

He did still have his nanites.

Which could easily allow him to skip parts of the tech tree and reconstruct another watch.

But Zero saw another problem.

Just like how this reality was different and he couldn't use his old runes.

The very laws of each reality may cause his watch to work differently.

In other words.

He may only have this single chance to pick.

This was hypothetically of course.

He had no way to know other then trying.

He also wasn't rank 9 here.

Otherwise he could just pinch a body into existence and send it down like an avatar.

This is what he had done in the past.

Zero had a great idea though.

He would simply use his save point in constant time.

Although the energy from the matrix was cut off here.

It didn't matter.

Then if something went horribly wrong.

He would just reload.

This also made it so he was almost like a god of time.

Since he could spawn in say year 3000.

Reload.

Choose to spawn in year 2500.

Reload.

Choose to spawn in year 3500.

He wouldn't run into himself either.

Since his save point was multiversal.

All actions he did in say year 2500 would be erased from the time stream upon reloading.

The only downside is... he would lose his progress from the worlds and time he explored.

Well progress relating to his body.

His technology and memories would still be in his brain.

If he felt secure in the other world.

He could also use his save point then.

He would just be locked out of constant time until he used his watch or developed the technology again.

He felt like he had truly regained his powers as a Paradox.

He had finally become a time walker again.

Although he never would've gotten here without creating Projekt Paradox.

He now had the ability to see the beginning and end of the time stream.

'Save Point'.

"Alright... which world should I visit first?"

Zero remembered the time he had created his own multiverse.

He remembered thoroughly exploring the chaos realm and trying to find a cultivation world.

The world he had experienced in his rank 7 dream.

But he was unable to find a world that matched that criteria.

So he had created one himself.

But things were different now.

He saw many cultivation worlds.

He then jumped into a random one.

Xiu Xiang's POV:

I was praying at my ancestors statue.

When out of nowhere I was blinded by a white light.

Then I saw the outline of a person in white appear.

The light finally dimmed revealing a strange man.

One of his eyes was white.

The other green.

His clothes were also weird and looked like nothing I had ever seen before.

He looked at me.

When our eyes met.

I felt a deep primordial fear.

From his eyes I felt like I had seen the birth and death of the universe.

I began stuttering, trying to form coherent sentences and failing.

This man had just appeared out of nowhere.

If he had ill intentions... perhaps I would already be dead.

I began to calm down.

The man spoke:

"&*&^*^ ^%&% %$$%$ ^$^$"

I couldn't understand a single word he said.

He then shook his head and spoke:

"Hello, fellow human. I come barring no ill will. I merely wish to learn of your cultivation. My name is Zero!"

"Zero?"

What a weird name.
