3: Chapter 13: 'Nonsense' Technique

3: Chapter 13: 'Nonsense' Technique

"Why did you bring us to the library?"

"Oh... no reason. Let's head to my dorm. I'll teach you guys the technique there."

Zero brought them to the dorm.

"Where are all your things?"

"This place is quite empty... are you a clean freak?"

"Did you only bring your sword and one set of clothes...?"

"Do you guys want to learn the technique or not?"

"... yes."

"Alright."

Zero spouted random bullshit about the technique being a hidden will.

"Everyone grasp each others hands and stand in a circle."

"Chant with me. 'Nonsense'!"

They began to chant the word nonsense.

Zero wasn't holding any of their hands.

He stood in the center of the circle.

As they danced around and chanted nonsense.

He placed his hand on one of their heads.

All of them fell down onto the floor.

Zero designed not an intent.

But a knight skill that boost strength by about 20 times for 10 seconds.

It was a bit worse then Maximize Strength.

But it also had no downsides and could be used 3 times a day.

He then engraved this skill on their souls.

So that their bodies instincts would be able to use the skill as easy as breathing.

They would have no idea it was bound to their soul though.

Even if they reincarnated. They would be able to use the skill in the next life.

One by one they woke up.

A side effect from him messing with their souls and instincts.

They all broke through to grand knight while asleep.

"This power!?"

"I'm a grand knight?"

Alura was shocked.

"I have taught you all my 'nonsense'. Use it well!"

They went to the training grounds and sparred

Not only did 'nonsense' make them stronger.

During the duration of the skill, it was if they became invulnerable.

It was extremely powerful.

So strong that Farley was able to combine it with his strengthening skill and fight Hale's sword with his finger.

"Remember. You guys promised to keep this skill a secret."

They then thought back to the weird ritual of them all dancing in a circle and speaking nonsense.

"What an embarrassing way to pass the skill around."

Truthfully... the technique had nothing to do with that ritual.

Zero was just having a bit of fun.

"Do you have any other techniques like 'nonsense'."

Zero spoke in English.

"Of course. I have 'bullshit', 'hogwash', 'gibberish', and 'crap'."

The language sounded magical to them.

They had no idea the meaning behind the words.

Zero didn't actually have any of these skills.

But if he needed help in the future.

Maybe he could whip up something on the spot.

"I'll cya guys later. I'm off to meditate."

"Wait! We normally go out eating after a successful mission. Would you like to join us?"

"Sure."

So they went to the cafeteria.

The food was far better then the food in the village.

Marshal's POV:

I like to gossip and document all the new students coming into the academy.

I do this to make sure there are no spies or warlocks among the population.

Things were fine.

But as I looked at the documents for the new recruit.

'Zero'.

Things seemed too good to be true.

On the surface he seemed completely ordinary.

But when he walked past me to go to his dorm.

Something about his demeanor and his walk.

It screamed danger to me.

But there was nothing I could do.

He didn't break any rules.

My gut feeling wasn't enough justification to arrest or dispel him.

But then he did something weird.

I made sure to document his belongings when he came in.

The report said he had nothing but the clothes on his back.

He didn't even bring a sack for money.

This wasn't out of the ordinary completely.

It could just be that he was quite poor.

But then I saw him walking around with a sword.

"Where did he get that sword from?"

There's no way you can just pull a sword out of thin air.

He was never reported to visit the armory.

He also never visited any blacksmiths.

So the only possible explanation is...

"Storage Ring!"

But wait...

He wasn't wearing a ring...

He also didn't have a pendant.

"Could it be? A storage intent?"

"An acolyte that is able to open up their own pocket dimension... terrifying."

"He isn't even an acolyte yet."

"Impossible! There must be some other explanation."

Marshal began to pace around thinking of possible solutions.

"He must have his own storage dimension... without using an artifact."

Marshal told Morti about what he thought.

"Hmm... I do not remember him having a sword. That is quite odd indeed."

Morti went to find Zero.

----------------------------------------

"Where did you get your sword from?"

Zero then realized... he may have messed up conjuring a sword from nothing.

He looked at Hale.

Hale made up a story on the spot.

"I let him borrow one of my swords for a mission."

Morti didn't think they were lying.

It would be ridiculous for Zero to have storage dimension.

After Morti left.

Zero thanked Hale and let him have his weapon.

"Thanks for letting me borrow it."

Hale laughed.

"It was no problem."

Hale left to study Zero's weapon.

"I'll cya guys later."

"Bye."

The rest continued to eat their food.

Zero spent the rest of the month doing missions with this group.

He became good friends with Alura, Farley, and Hale.

The others didn't continue to do missions.

Zero decided to check his properties.

He wondered what the stats of his data body was.
