"If we use my model of time travel, it is possible to make a time machine without flaws. Making a machine that is able to interact with that small instant of existence. We need to make a machine that changes the present, before we focus on other aspects of time."
"Interesting..."
"How exactly do we make a device that manipulates the present?"
"I believe that we can do it by using gravity."
"Gravity?"
"If we wish to slow down time. The stronger the gravity. The better the effect. The stronger the gravity, the slower time will pass. We will delay the instant."
Zero then spoke:
"So we should create a miniature blackhole... no. We should create a singularity."
"Wait... what? How did you come to that conclusion from what I said? Also, how the hell are we supposed to create a singularity?"
Zero smirked.
"You see. You said gravity can dilate time. So what better way to mess with the present then to create something which has gravity so intense that spacetime itself begins to breakdown. Inside a singularity you can become an entity that does not exist in any specific time or place. The laws of the world as we know it should break down at such a point."
Mark then rebutted:
"You would need infinite energy though...you would also need to be able to survive such pressure. You would need to be able to remain conscious in such a state. No human can do that."
Zero wasn't your average human.
He believed that he would be able to survive in the no mans land... he would entangle himself in the one part of this universe where the laws were broken.
Zero had comprehended Infinity long ago.
He just needed to apply it.
He needed to relearn what it felt like to wield such power.
"That part can be easily resolved."
"You're very sketchy Zero."
"Haha... I merely wish to understand this universe."
"You speak as if you weren't born here!"
"Trust me... my true form would shock the world."
"True form?"
"Don't worry about it."
"So you plan to create a singularity and jump into it... going to most certainly your death?"
"Death is just a new beginning. I do not fear what I can not experience."
Zero bought a cheap island and had the worlds first particle accelerator built on it.
There was just a slight issue.
This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version.
He didn't have enough energy.
A blackhole itself could help resolve that problem.
He needed about a hundred thousand times the energy currently produced by this world.
He also needed an insane amount of mass.
At least the mass of about 900,000 earths.
Not to mention compressing that mass...
He continued construction of the particle accelerator.
It was circular in nature.
Perhaps it would be the key to creating a singularity in the future.
Damn this worlds laws!
It was making it impossible for him to find any exploits in the system.
It was then that he realized from his memories of reading from the library of other Paradoxes.
A long long time ago.
He still had the technology stored in his memories!
Technology from an advanced civilization.
They never mastered teleportation or time travel.
But energy?
Information?
There was also the few years he spent in school in an alien civilization.
One that had mastered interstellar travel. As well as teleportation.
He never understood the principles behind it.
But when it comes to the technology regarding information and energy.
He was a quite the expert.
Storing exabytes of data was trivial.
Producing hundreds to thousands of times the energy of an entire planet was child's play.
So he hired a few engineers and manufacturers.
Got most of the parts needed for his fusion reactor.
He then built it in his private lab himself.
His entire building was now being powered solely off of his reactor.
Once he confirmed that it worked.
He ordered construction of a gigantic reactor on his island.
He also looked into his memories.
Looking for a way to build a time machine.
He never needed to go to his island.
He could remotely run test and experiment using his ability to manipulate and receive data.
"Maybe I'm approaching this all wrong. If I think of time like a river and myself like a leaf flowing down the river. I simply need to become a rock. So that I sink to the bottom of the river. Then time will go pass me, but I will not move. Instead of experiencing positive time. I will experience negative time."
His thinking slowly went back to what it was before.
The idea Mark had given him had inspired him a bit.
But if he needed a blackhole in his pocket to time travel.
The requirements were a little ridiculous.
"If I can experience negative time. From the moment I transform. That will be the scope of ability to travel. It will be the start of the loop."
"What I need to worry about is transforming from a leaf to a rock."
As he was thinking another person came into his office.
"I read the new direction we were going in with time travel. I think there is something wrong with both of your models!"
Zero was interested. You see... Zero had experienced being the entire internet.
All of that information was stored in his memory.
But he didn't have access to it all.
There was simply too many theories about everything that it was hard to tell what was and wasn't science fiction.
Having these talks with his employees felt like fishing in his memories and pulling out some deeply buried secrets.
Even if the theories were only that, theories.
It was still useful to him.
So Zero said:
"Explain."
"I believe that there are many worlds parallel to our own. I believe that with every possible outcome of an event. There is a new universe created."
Zero spoke:
"I believe all of our models are correct in some aspect at least. How would you go about building a time machine?"
"I would use quantum entanglement. I believe we can use paired particles to communicate with ourself on the timeline. We really just need to figure out consciousness. If we are able to attach our consciousness to the particle, we would be able to communicate with our future self or even teleport to the entangled particle. You said it yourself that consciousness is two states. I think we just need to separate two entangled particles. When we measure it... there will be a collapse that effects the entire system. It is that instant that we time travel. Although we are essentially just finding out if a particle is spinning clockwise or counter clockwise. That can be likened to your example of binary, clockwise being zero and counter clockwise being one. We then just build it on a larger scale with more information. What do you think?"
Zero's eyes lit up. He then spoke:
"Paired particles will always mimic their behavior, no matter the distance."
"If instead of collapsing the wave through observation. What if we changed it? We would essentially be changing the other distant particle. If the particles are able to communicate on a timeline. We can directly change the past by changing a particle in the present. By taking control of the present we control both the future and the past!"
Zero now had an idea on how to approach creating his time machine.
He was a little excited.
His original time machine had been given to him because of a paradox.
Now he would be truly building his own!
