I wasn't able to easily solve this civilizations problems.

The concepts simply went way over my head.

I probably wouldn't have been able to hack their technology.

What also surprised me was that they didn't use magic at all.

They were far more advanced then even the world I was born in.

They had mastered interstellar travel.

They were able to open up portals using technology alone.

Now that is something I have to study.

There also wasn't a magic matrix over the world.

So my mana was slowly leaking from my runes.

The longer I stay here.

The more mana I'll lose.

I 'borrowed' their knowledge and injected myself with upgraded nanites.

These nanites weren't available to just anyone.

Only soldiers in the military were injected with them.

I had snuck into a military base using the shadows anyways.

So I had both versions of nanites in my body.

I was also able to resolve the problem of them not being able to cross infinity.

I kept this discovery to myself.

I was able to do more with these nanites.

I could even directly open up portals using them.

Now I had a way out of the abyss.

Even if I didn't use my pocketwatch.

I had opened up portals on the microscopic level to the chaos realm.

So despite their not being a magic matrix over the world.

Mana was leaking from my body like a hole in a bucket.

After constructing these micro portals to the chaos realm.

I didn't have to worry about my mana depleting.

I lived with roommates that were also my friends.

There was a slight issue.

After I graduated from university.

I was quite enlightened.

I even learned how to teleport using my nanites alone.

After spending a few centuries in frozen time reading their books.

I saw Werlin meditating in the control room.

"Well, truthfully I have to thank you. I have some comprehension in space now. So it wasn't a waste to be here. I did nearly starve to death here... if it wasn't for my satiety potions I would have starved to death."

"Oh yea... I forgot you needed to eat"

"Anyways... I'll need 2,400 insanity potions."

"..."

"Alright... give me a few years."

"You don't have a stockpile?"

"Some idiot trapped me in an antimagic realm..."

"Fair enough, ready to go?"

"Time for me to eat something besides potions!"

Being the benevolent person I am. I even pay for our meal.

After catching up and exchanging contact information.

I head back to the antimagic realm and open up a portal to the abyss.

This should be an interesting experiment.

I don't find my body there.

I deposit almost all of the new nanites into the abyss.

There are a few reasons for doing this.

1.) I wish to find a version of my body in the abyss.

2.) I wish for future versions of my body to also have the new nanites which can cross infinity.

3.) I'm curious as to what will happen if I run into myself.

I know from Gaia that I have fused with the abyss.

I also know that I will always revive in the abyss.

But despite being separated from my multiverse.

I still have an anchor in the abyss.

So this clearly tells me that there is more than one 'abyss'.

Just like there is likely more then one chaos realm.

It is just a feature of the chaos realm makes it so it connects to other multiverses.

So I give my nanites a mission.

Find my body in the abyss and report back to me.

Something like this would be impossible usually.

But because of the theories and new technology I've acquired from the origin race.

My nanites can now communicate across realms.

By opening portals at the cellular level.

I can pass information over instantly.

No matter the distance.

In the abyss.

Time doesn't matter.

What does matter is energy!

If I had fused with the chaos realm.

I could easily find my body through nanites.

But in the abyss, unlike the chaos realm.

There isn't any energy to pull from.

So the nanites will eventually stop functioning.

There isn't any matter to break down and turn into energy or more nanites.

But I have found a solution to this problem.

The same microscopic portals used to exchange information.

These same portals will supply small amounts of matter.

So that the abyss will eventually be over saturated with nanites!

Opening up small portals to the chaos realm as an energy source.

Finding myself...

It's not simply a possibility.

It is just a matter of time.

I close the portal to the abyss and sit and meditate.

A decade goes by.

I then decide to find Werlin to ask about the insanity potions.

I try calling him...

But my phone is broken.

As well as dead.

I use restore on it.

Until it reverts back to a useable state.

I then find his contact information and call him.

We are in different realms...

So it doesn't go through.

I open up a gateway to dimension 2.

Then end up on the roof of my old apartment.

I then call him.

"Zero! I did it!"

"You did what?"

"I made a potion that can suppress the long lived raced genes in your blood. I've made a potion that can trigger the final ritual needed to become a rank 7."

"...Did you forget to make my insanity potions?"

"Oh."
