[ECHO]: {Name: "Zero #119", Species: Abyssal Paradox (Human), Energy: 1 GR, Strength: 11, Vitality: 21, Nanites: 3.88274e+13, Mana: 721. Spirit: 985, Soul: 79}
My goal is to hit 1440 runes.
It would take me a century to do 60 runes.
That's 1,200 years...
But with the insanity potion.
I'll only need 300 years.
I'll also need 300 potions.
They also have the side effect of insanity.
But I am not one to easily go insane.
The potions part is covered.
Werlin delivered all of them at once!
In exchange I gave him a LOT of blood.
He should have a couple dozen immortality potions now.
I wonder what he plans on doing with them.
They are pretty much a one time use thing.
You can't change your species to the same species and expect an increase in life force.
But enough of that.
It's time for me to become a rank 3!
Then I'll be able to use my passive spell
[ECHO]: {Name: "Infinite Mind", Level: 3, Type: Self, Element: Mana, Cost: 0, Desc: "Protects self against all forms of illusions and mind traps."}
I was also given Werlin's passive spell.
Which is priceless.
Since there isn't even an option to buy level 4 spells in the sect.
[ECHO]: {Name: "Water Domain", Level: 4, Type: Area, Element: Water, Cost: 0, Desc: "Traps area in a water prison."}
I don't plan on making this spell my passive.
But I use its structure to design my own rank 4 spell.
[ECHO]: {Name: "Infinite Soul", Level: 4, Type: Self, Element: Mana, Cost: 0, Desc: "Protects soul against all forms of attacks."}
I'm getting ahead of myself a bit.
But these are all my passives.
[ECHO]: {Name: "Infinity", Level: 1, Type: Shield, Element: Mana, Cost: 0, Desc: "Form a shield of infinity around the user."} (4th layer) (2 templates)
[ECHO]: {Name: "Infinite Flight", Level: 2, Type: Target, Element: Mana, Cost: 0, Desc: "Allows the target to fly."} (5th layer) (3 templates)
Then you have these to be my future passives.
[ECHO]: {Name: "Infinite Mind", Level: 3, Type: Self, Element: Mana, Cost: 0, Desc: "Protects self against all forms of illusions and mind traps."} (6th layer) (4 templates)
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
[ECHO]: {Name: "Infinite Soul", Level: 4, Type: Self, Element: Mana, Cost: 0, Desc: "Protects soul against all forms of attacks."} (7th layer) (5 templates)
My path is ready... now I just need to reach the required runes.
I have the potions ready.
Now I just need to retrea-
"ZERO!"
"What is it Meep?"
"The Patriarch wants you to join the team going into the antimagic realm."
"Antimagic realm? what is that?"
"You don't know!?"
"It only opens once every ten thousand years!"
"Inside, magic is completely useless. Once you enter you lose all your mana and your passives aren't even able to work."
"Why would I want to go inside then?"
"You don't understand. This realm was built by a rank 7 magus!"
"Oooohhhh!"
"Exactly!"
"It is what they left behind before they went to a higher dimension."
"Inside the realm are artifacts of untold power. Inheritances of potentially even Laws. It is an opportunity none of us can afford to miss!"
Welp. I was planning on breakthing through to rank 3.
But this seems more exciting.
"The only downside is. Everyone is only as powerful as a mortal while inside the antimagic realm."
Oh no!
Whatever shall I do?
Oh yea... nanites.
I'm OP as shit without my magic.
Let us see, just what you'll be able to do to me!
Alright. I better not tempt fate.
Something made by a rank 7 could probably kill me, even with my nanites.
But... I'll definitely be the most powerful mortal there!
I was born for this.
All of us gather at the front gate of the sect
We board a flying ship and head off.
Since I am only rank 2 I'm serving as canon fodder in this expedition.
This is because I'm not too important to the sect.
Once we get to the destination.
We camp out for about 10 days.
Then an earthquake happens and the realm is opened up.
It isn't just one portal.
A green portal opens up to the left.
A yellow portal opens up in the center.
A red portal opens up to the right.
We are told that in order to even get a chance to enter the realm in the first place.
You must pass a trial.
Green stands for life.
It is an easy trial.
Yellow stands for strife.
It is a much harder trial.
Red stands for death.
It is an impossible trial.
During the trial, before you actually enter the realm.
You will have your magic.
I watch a guy run into the red portal.
He is immediately vaporized.
Apparently.
The harder the difficulty.
The better the reward you get after passing the trial.
I'm a paradox. So I obviously choose the impossible trial.
I have plot armor of course.
This should be a piece of cake.
I walk into the red portal.
People are shocked when I don't instantly get vaporized.
Somehow the gravity is reaching me through my infinity.
With every step it is multiplying.
2x the gravity.
4x the gravity.
8x the gravity.
I keep walking.
16x the gravity.
I kneel on the ground.
No, this isn't just an increase in gravity.
Some force is trying to vaporize me.
I can feel it reaching beyond my infinity.
I can feel it attacking it.
32x the gravity.
Somehow the gravity...
No! This is the power of Laws!
As well as a 32 times increase in spiritual pressure.
My infinity actually starts to crack
At this point I'm pushed into the ground.
A crater is forming wherever I crawl.
I start to actually cough up blood.
I can't continue this way.
As I get closer to reaching the realm.
I can feel my mana also massively draining.
I cast Darkness Familiar.
It summons a darkness pet.
The pet is immediately crushed into particles.
I use shadow travel.
[ECHO]: {Name: "Shadow Travel", Level: 2, Type: Target, Element: Darkness, Cost: 400, Desc: "Target Can travel through the shadows."}
I travel into the shadow of the darkness pet.
I then cast darkness familiar again.
I summon it forward.
[ECHO]: {Name: "Darkness Familiar", Level: 1, Type: Pet, Element: Darkness, Cost: 200, Desc: "Summon a light pet that'll follow you around until it runs out of mana."}
It walks a few steps then dissipates.
Since I'm rank 2.
The spell only cost me 67 mana.
Shadow travel cost me 134 mana
Shadow travel will last until I run out of mana or cancel the spell.
I decide to shoot out a darkness strike and travel in the shadows as it flies.
[ECHO]: {Name: "Darkness Strike", Level: 1, Type: Projectile, Element: Darkness, Cost: 200, Desc: "Shoot out a ball of darkness."}
My plan doesn't work though.
As the gravity also effects it.
Making it fall to the ground and fizzle out.
I get a cheaty idea after seeing this.
I'm now out of mana and still a ways to go from the exit.
I barely manage to pull out my pocket watch.
It weighs nothing.
I twist the crown 3 times right as my infinity shatters.
Phew!
That was a close call.
