Chapter 74: Elf Talk.

(Selenia’s POV)

Upon getting closer to the town, following the directions that my wives left me, I realized that the elf woman had followed me. Very stealthy, I might add… I only realized that she was following me, due to the fact that she got cocky and got too close to me.

Selenia: “Why are you still following me?” I ask, stopping in my tracks, not even looking in her directions.

Soon, the elf woman came out from behind a tree and walked next to me. There wasn’t any remorse or shame on her face. Rather, it looked more like she was concerned for me. For what purpose does she have such an expression?…

Dana: “My name is Dana. What’s yours?” She asked, ignoring my question.

Selenia: “Selenia is my name. Now, answer my question, please.” I reply.

Dana: “The town you mentioned… it is a notorious spot for Minister Zaid’s of the Alwessal Empire cruel experiments.” She explained.

Selenia: “That so? Thanks for the information, Dana.” I reply, and then walk past her on my way to this experiment town that she mentioned.

The woman, surprised by me not caring or being scared by her words, soon snapped out of it. Quickly running up to catch me, and then she blocked my way with her body.

Dana: “Are you crazy!?” She exclaimed.

Selenia: “That’s debatable… What about you?” I reply with a laugh.

Dana: “…Your wives went to that town, right? They’re surely dead by now. There is no reason for you to risk your life by going there to that evil town.” She said with a serious tone.

Selenia: “My wives and I are not normal people, Dana. Minister Zaid, who is a man that I plan to kill, well… his little experiments are nothing to us.” I reply.

Dana: “…”

Selenia: “Do you doubt me? You saw how strong I was while fighting that army of orcs.” I ask.

Dana: “Even still, it took you hours to kill them all. Not to mention, a random dragon showed up to help you!” She yelled in defense of her actions to stop me from continuing on my way.

Selenia: “…”

Ah… so Semi was seen in the end, huh? Well, at least she only spoke to me in my head. Otherwise, there would be a loose end, that being Dana, who knew the dragon races secret. Not fun, in my opinion…

Selenia: “Dana… I was playing with those orcs. If I wanted to, I could have killed them all within seconds.” I say with a shrug.

Dana: “I don’t believe you.” She replied.

Selenia: “I see. But guess what? I don’t care what you believe or don’t believe. Now, please get out of my way.” I say with a stern tone.

The woman refused to budge at all. It’s not like I can kill her, either. I mean, I could easily kill her. But I didn’t want to. Dana is only doing this because she is worried that I will die a pointless death. That is something I respect.

I get it, I truly do. Not to mention, I didn’t sense any happiness from her. After all, in her mind, my wives are already dead because they went to that town.

But, in my mind, I know that those three most likely already knew about the town. And that they also most likely just went there for some fun, and to piss off that damn crazy ass Minister Zaid in my stead.

Selenia: “If you don’t want to leave me alone, just come with me. I swear that I will protect you.” I say with a smile.

Dana: “Protect me? That is a funny thing to say, Selenia… I know that you’re stronger than me, but I am wiser. I am many, many years your senior. In fact, I am a few hundred years older than you.” She said with a laugh.

Selenia: “Oh, really? Do you know that one of my wives is older than you?” I ask.

Dana: “I doubt that as well.” She replied.

Selenia: “You have such little faith in me, it seems. Which means that when I say that I am married to the ancient witch, Zella, that you most likely will not believe me. What a shame.” I say with a sigh.

Dana: “…”

Yeah, just as I guessed, she didn’t believe me at all. This is great! The look on her face when we meet my wives will be absolutely legendary! Even if she isn’t my wife, I do still enjoy teasing random girls.

Selenia: “Are you going to follow me, or not?” I ask.

Dana: “Will you really go to that town? What I said about it doesn’t do it justice. After all, that was the reason he did the experiments in the middle of nowhere, so far away from the capital city.” She explained.

Selenia: “I will still go, regardless. Why are you here, anyway?” I ask with a curious expression.

Dana: “My goal was this town, as my friends were kidnapped and taken here. That orc army you killed had distracted me.” She answered.

Selenia: “Ah, so you also have a reason to go there, huh?” I reply.

Dana: “That I do. But unlike you, I have no hopes that I will find them alive. I just wish to obtain their bodies so that they can be properly buried with the respect that they deserve.” She replied with a sad tone.

Selenia: “I am sorry for you loss.” I say with a remorseful tone.

Dana: “As am I for yours. When you find their bodies, I will comfort you. Not in the sense that I am trying to woo or seduce you. I know that you wouldn’t want to be in a new relationship so soon after losing them.” She replied.

Selenia: “If I do find their bodies, just don’t stop me from killing myself. I cannot live without them. In fact, there is no reason for me to live without them in my life.” I say with a sigh.

Dana: “…”

Selenia: “…”

Hmm… this talk turn to be more depressing than I bargained for… My words were the truth, but it is neigh impossible for any of us to really die. From Marika’s words, the only threat to us is that last blessed enemy of ours.

Anyone else will have no chance at all to kill us. Not even a dragon like Semi can kill us. With that being said, it means that once we kill that person, my wives and I can spend the rest of eternity in complete peace.

Dana: “If that will be your decision at the time, I will not stop you. I do honestly respect you, even if we’ve just met. And… I will also give your a proper burial as well.” She said with a serious tone.

Selenia: “Thanks. But like I said, they aren’t dead. And I am absolutely sure of it.” I reply with an unbothered and confident tone.

Dana: “I hope that is the case, I truly do. Now, shall we venture forth into an extremely dangerous place?” She asked.

Selenia: “Yes, yes. Do please lead the way, oh wise and mature elf.” I jokingly reply.

Dana: “I sorta struggle to understand how you have three wives. I am attracted to you, but listening to you makes me want to put you in your place.” She said with a laugh.

Selenia: “That’s exactly why it works out. I am a cheeky little princess, their cheeky little princess. My cheekiness is always forgiven, as they put me in my place all the time when we have sex. I am a bottom to a fault, I’ll have you know.” I reply with a laugh of my own.

Dana: “…”

With the cute elf sighing, not knowing if any of my words were the truth, or if I was just making shit up, we continued on our way. I hope that my wives don’t think that I am cheating on them once again…
