Chapter 25: Exploring!
(Selenia’s POV)
As I left the brothel, I came across yet another little girl. Please don’t tell me that she is another reincarnater… I tried walking past her, but she kept getting in my way. What is this girl’s problem!?
Selenia: “Excuse me, but I have business to deal with.” I say with an annoyed tone.
Little Girl: “Madam Besta ordered me to show you the way out of the slums.” She explained.
Selenia: “I don’t really need help to do so, though?” I reply.
Little Girl: “Madam Besta figured as such, but me being with you is just to prevent someone from trying to rob or kill you again.” She answered.
Selenia: “…”
Do they see me as a killing machine? Radahn was right, he really did help create an absurd monster… Well, this absurd monster has shit to do, so other people will just have to deal with it. Sighing, I took hold of the girl’s hand, and she led me out of the slums.
Her words were correct, as I saw countless people see me with the girl, and some of them clicked their tongues in annoyance. Did I look like a good person to target? Besides my weapons, I was only wearing a dress… Ah, most of them are in patchwork clothes, so I stick out like a sore thumb in these slums…
After being guided by the girl for a while, I ended up at a gate. As it seemed that the capital was on high alert, there were guards blocking the exit out of the slums. I let go the girl’s hand, and I told her goodbye. Before the knights could question me, I attacked them, killing them both in just minutes.
With a satisfied grin, I continued on my sightseeing trip of Tarina’s capital city. From what I recall, after the slums, there was a commoner district, and after that there was the nobles district, before finally the castle. I wonder how long it will take me to make it through this place and reach my target?
Some Time Later.
Well, this was a nightmare… Currently, I was hiding out in some abandoned building. The intel we got wasn’t correct… If it was correct, then why were there literally thousands of knights looking for me at the moment? Not to mention, once in the commoner’s area, I was spotted very quickly.
Taking out the contact crystal from my inventory, not! I don’t have a goddamn inventory! I am not some overpowered isekai protagonist! I had no way to carry anything besides my knife and sword. Wait… is that what I think it is other there? Why is there just a contact crystal in this old warehouse? With caution, I walked over to it and put some mana into it. Quickly, I heard a voice.
Saya: “Hello, Selenia!” She said with an excited tone.
Ah, right… now that I think about it, I didn’t run to this abandoned building by accident. I did go here by instinct, but this building was actually a meetup point for Saya’s guild. It is owned by their group, and not even the king would try to step inside it.
Selenia: “Saya, did you set me up?” I ask with an angry tone.

Saya: “Huh? What do you mean?” She asked with a confused tone.
Selenia: “There are far too many knights within the city, Saya.” I reply.
Saya: “…That wasn’t intentional, I swear!” She pleaded.
Selenia: “Then why exactly did this happen?” I ask with a sigh.
Saya: “Hold on, let me check!” She said with a hurried tone.
After waiting for ten minutes, Saya came back with an explanation. The reason for the knights being here, even though they shouldn’t be, well it was because of Sooven… Yentri was practically destroyed by us, or rather, by Cirilia.
Ever so annoyingly, yesterday, the remaining royalty and troops of Yentri came here to Tarina to seek refuge. For a lower noble title, they had to let the rest of their military merge with Tarina’s. Which is why I have to deal with such annoying trouble…
Saya: “Selenia, you should leave right away!” She advised.
Selenia: “Bah! I refuse! I will take this damn kingdom over, even if I have to bleed copious amounts of blood to do so!” I exclaim before ending the call.
Who cares if they have a thousand soldiers!? I can deal with them! Unlike the noble and well-trained soldiers of Radahn’s fort, these knights were shit! Barely even worth the armor they wear, and the weapons they wield! After hyping myself up via various blatant lies, I stormed out of the building and started killing any knight in my path.
Hours Later.
I painted Tarina’s capital city in deep dark red blood… Of course; I didn’t kill a single noncombatant, but the scenes of death and destruction that I left in my wake will surely scar the people of this city for a long while. My dress was no longer white…
Now it was stained completely red. And a dark red, at that. I was covered in so much blood; I felt like a fucking vampire… Today, the people of this kingdom had witnessed a child kill off their entire military. How poetic, Radahn truly called it, with me turning into a monster. Sure, I only killed soldiers, but I am sure that the people of this city think that I am some kind of monster.
There might be some knights left in the castle, but none showed up to block my path to the nobles district. Once there, I was met with a private military force. Various nobles were standing before me, all in front of a small force of around a hundred knights.
Selenia: “If you wish to stop me, please know that it did not end well for anyone whose tried so far.” I advise with a laugh.
Noble Woman: “Child, are you a demon? What is your goal here?” She asked with her sword drawn.
Selenia: “I am not a demon, make no mistake. As for my goal, well, that is the head of Tarina’s king. My kingdom, Sooven, would very much like to claim this land for our own, you see.” I calmly explain.
Noble Woman: “And, will you kill us?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.
Selenia: “If you choose to fight me, then yes. Otherwise, I would much prefer for you to just leave.” I answer with my arms crossed.
Noble Woman: “…What of your men outside?” She asked.
With a sigh, I tossed her a rolled up flag of Sooven. I kept it wrapped around my sword sheath for an occasion like this.
Selenia: “Raise that flag on your way out, inform my soldiers to advance inside, and then you can leave without any fuss.” I say with a serious tone.
Noble Woman: “I have another request.” She said with a serious tone.
Selenia: “And what kind of request is that?” I reply with a raised eyebrow.
Noble Woman: “I request a dual with you.” She proposed.
Selenia: “You seem to be a woman of honor, so if you like being moral, then please know that I am exhausted from killing well over a thousand knights.” I reply.
Noble Woman: “Then…” She said before I cut her off.
Selenia: “I am Private Selenia of Sooven, specifically under General Radahn Quartz. I will never turn down a fight, let alone one from a beautiful lady. If you look around enough, I am sure that you will easily find me, eventually, that is.” I explain.
Garna: “I am Garna Tarina, Princess of Tarina. My father is the only one left in the castle. My mother and younger sister are here with us. Will you still let us go?” She asked.
Selenia: “Ah, Princess Garna, I’ve heard about you. Your efforts to end the reign of your senile father won’t be in vain, as I will end him for you. Rest assured, I will not hurt you even after learning of your identity.” I reply with a serious tone.
After answering her question, Garna and her people put their weapons away and walked out of the noble’s district. I had no idea how strong or skilled Garna is, but I also don’t have the energy to try to find out at the moment. After taking a short break on a bench, I started walking to the castle. Now, it is time to end the mad king…
