Chapter 21: I need an Actual Challenge...
(Selenia’s POV)
Does being blessed by Marika make me give off some kind of demanding aura? Now, all of the soldier of this fort treat me the same way they do Radahn. Me, a literal child… Wait, now that I think about it, didn’t Cirilia give off that same feeling?…
Regardless, this is actually very good. As now when I lead them into battle, they won’t be upset, and they will actually listen to my orders with respect. If it was me, I wouldn’t even be able to keep a straight face, as my commander officer is a child…
Well, back to my current problem. I needed something to lift up and down, so that I could work on my muscles more. Either it is because I am a child, or that Marika likes the ones she blesses to be absolutely beautiful, as I never gained any muscle, but I did feel far stronger than when I started.
Thinking about it, I was also far more attractive than I was before Marika blessed me. Marika… isn’t it kinda wrong to make me, a child, extremely beautiful? I fucking feel like a narcissist when looking in the mirror for too long…
Damn… my mind is all over the place today. Anyway, there isn’t anything within the fort that I couldn’t pick up with ease. Of course, this isn’t counting the buildings. And I should clarify, I didn’t become a superhuman. I struggled greatly with trying to pick up a carriage, but that was the only thing that I couldn’t pick up within the fort.
Even if I could, using a carriage as a thing to lift isn’t safe, and I won’t be doing such a funny thing. Besides that one type of object, everything else was free game. But nothing was the right weight for me to use to train with… Much to Radahn chagrin, I could easily pick him up as well.
Radahn: “What was the point of all the training and working out I did, when a blessed child is already stronger than me when she only trained for a few days?” He said with a sigh.
Selenia: “There was a point to that, Radahn. And I am not talking about how it is funny. Like Marika said to me before, don’t devalue your efforts.” I reply with a stern tone.
Radahn: “…You sound like my wife… Selenia, if I ever adopt a son, would you be willing to marry him? I mean, you’re very adamant that you don’t want me to adopt you into my family, after all.” He asked with a curious tone.
Selenia: “I would have to deny that request, Radahn.” I reply.
Radahn: “How come? I don’t mean anytime soon. Maybe when you’re in your twenties?” He replied.
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
Selenia: “Radahn, are you loyal to me?” I ask with a serious tone.
Radahn: “Absolutely. If I was brought before a court and asked if I was loyal to this kingdom, I will admit that I am not.” He answered with a confident tone.
Selenia: “Alright then. Radahn, I like women. My spouse will be a woman. So if you want me to marry into your family, then be prepared to give me your daughter’s hand in marriage instead.” I reply with a laugh.
Radahn: “I don’t know if my daughter likes women, so I cannot guarantee that she can marry you. I won’t force her to marry anyone, for that matter.” He replied with an unsure tone.
Selenia: “Huh? Me being a lesbian isn’t concerning to you?” I ask with a head tilt.
Radahn: “Why would it be?” He replied with a confused tone.
Selenia: “I just assumed that being a lesbian wasn’t a common thing.” I reply with an embarrassed expression.
Radahn: “It isn’t, which is why I wrongly assumed that you were straight. Sorry about that. As for why it is accepted even though it isn’t common, is due to witches.” He replied.
Selenia: “What is this about witches?” I ask with a curious tone.
Radahn: “Each kingdom needs their help for various things. Only females can be witches, and as they’re immortal, they tend to only want to be with each other. I assume that being with someone that can die with time is just too painful when your life will never ever end.” He explained.
Selenia: “I see… Thanks for explaining.” I reply.
This world sure is confusing… But I shouldn’t focus too heavily on discovering how this world is. For now, I need to focus on this seemingly endless war. I can explore this world once I get control over it a decent bit. Wait, I completely forgot to air out my grievances with my training to Radahn…
Selenia: “Radahn, I have nothing to lift for training…” I say with a sigh.
Radahn: “I didn’t think that you’d end up a meathead like Cirilia… Aren’t you plenty strong enough already?” He replied.
Selenia: “I don’t think so? And Cirilia is a meathead? How funny.” I reply with a head tilt.
Radahn: “Selenia… before you came back to my office, you picked up a goddamn carriage!” He exclaimed.
Selenia: “Yeah, but I couldn’t hold it up for long.” I reply with a sighful shrug.
Radahn: “Selenia, you do recall your age, right? There are many ways for you to get stronger, but I think that it would be fine to ease up for now. At the very least, I think that you’ve reached the full potential of your body in your current age.” He advised.
Selenia: “I guess?… Does that mean that I will be going to war now?” I ask with a thinking pose.
Radahn: “Yes, Selenia. I’ve already made preparations for you. If you’re ready to go, I have picked my 600 best soldiers to accompany you on your take over of Tarina.” He said with a serious tone.
Selenia: “Hm… I think that I am ready today. I’ll change into my best dress.” I reply before getting up from my seat.
Radahn: “Dress? You plan to go to war in a dress!?” He exclaimed.
Selenia: “Picture it Radahn… A little girl, dressed up in a pure white dress, covered in the blood of her enemies, coming to end your life.” I say with an excited expression.
Radahn: “…”
Selenia: “Terrifying, right? Anyway, I will be ready in an hour.” I say before leaving Radahn’s office.
Oh, boy! I can’t wait to kill my enemies! Huh?… When did I become a sadist? Oh, well. I’ll just blame it on Marika’s blessing. As I walked back to my room to put on a new dress, I hummed all the way there. Luckily, Radahn’s daughter didn’t hate the color white, as there were plenty of dresses of said color within the wardrobe. With a smile, I picked out the one that was the purest white within the wardrobe. Ah, my first war will go swimmingly, I am sure of it!
