Chapter 22: Onward to Unsanctioned War!
(Selenia’s POV)
Outside the fort, my army was ready and waiting for me. They acted as if I was some grand and respected general… As I walked in front of them, I had my head held high. That was, until I realized an annoying problem…
Selenia: “Radahn, I am still too small to ride a horse…” I say with an embarrassed tone and expression.
Thus, all my respect fell away, as they all heartly laughed, including Radahn… Look, it isn’t my fault that I am a fucking child! What the heck will I do now? How can I ride into battle when I have no steed?…
Radahn: “I already thought about that, Selenia, don’t worry.” He said with a giggle.
Selenia: “And what is your solution? That is, if you have one.” I ask with a curious tone.
Radahn: “Oh, I absolutely do have a solution. Bring her out already!” He ordered.
Selenia: “…”
Before me was a literal fucking unicorn… Oddly, it was my size, and I could easily get up onto it. Is this unicorn a baby? It is pretty cute, I am not going to lie. But going into war on a pretty, pretty and white princess unicorn, will surely clash with my sadistic evil blood covered child aesthetic that I am going for…
Radahn: “This is a horned horse. It is just a calf, but their breed is able to work at a young age. Keep in mind, this is a loan, so I would be happy, and greatly prefer if you returned her in one piece.” He explained.
Selenia: “Horned horse? Why not call it a unicorn?” I jokingly propose.
Radahn: “…”
What? Don’t give me that look… I have no idea what that look even means… Radahn forcefully laughed off my suggestion. Of course, he also quietly explained to me that “unicorn” is their real name for the breed, but it is a complete secret. As for why it is a secret, he didn’t explain, and I didn’t care to ask.
Radahn handed me a short sword, and a new knife. Along with the sheaths for them. Looking at them, they were clearly custom made to fit me. Huh… I guess that Radahn’s words aren’t just to flatter me. How nice…
Radahn: “Don’t let her size fool you, Selenia. Even at her age, she is far more capable than our best horses.” He said with an assured tone.
Selenia: “Really? I’ll have to take your word on that, Radahn.” I reply with a sigh.
With great uncertainty, I got onto my unicorn, and ordered my army to move out. My mount acted as if it had known me for years, and I had absolutely no challenge with riding it. Which is weird, as I have never rode a horse before… That is, with me actually driving one. With confidence this time, I got my unicorn to run at full speed to Tarina.

Hours Later.
Something that shocked me to the core, is that this unicorn was blazing fast. Not a single one of my troops could keep up with me. Ah, right. Currently, we’re going to take over the border into Tarina. It was only a few hours away after we left Sooven’s borders.
Speaking of which, I am so going to change the name of this kingdom when I have a chance… Who the hell names a place like that? Even Tarina has a better name than my apparent home kingdom… How annoying.
The border was laughably unguarded. The bridge was even open, so we didn’t have to cross the moat around the border at all. We, or rather, I just strode right into the damn place, and killed any soldier that got in my way. Like with Albert, I oddly didn’t feel any remorseful when I killed another person.
Thinking that I might actually be evil isn’t something that I should worry about right now. Besides, I can just blame this on Marika’s blessing, making me somewhat sadistic. I highly doubt that she would waste the energy to correct me…
Of course, as my unicorn is on loan, and fighting while riding it isn’t really ideal, I jumped off of my unicorn before I started killing. By the time my troops showed up, I had killed fifty soldiers. Me being covered in blood while wearing a white dress, actually worked out well in the end. There were about 150 soldiers defending this border, so it took no time at all for my troops to finish them off.
Securing the border wasn’t our concern, so we just continued riding to Tarina’s capital. This method will probably only work once, as the main reason we will be able to take over Tarina is because it was left mostly unguarded. Once we take it over, I am sure that our enemies won’t make the same mistake twice.
Tarina seemed to be everyone’s slut. Wow… that has to be the worse way to describe a kingdom that does a lot of farming… But, from what I read, or rather, from what Radahn explained to me, Tarina’s main export is crops. Before the war, even Sooven got food from them. And as such, most of Tarina was farm land.
The people working on the farms didn’t bother to stop us at all. Either it was because they’re overworked, or because they just didn’t really care. I didn’t bother to stop and ask them, so I really do not know. Now then, onward to the capital!
Some Time Later.
Eventually, we ended up outside the capital city of Tarina. Tarina’s secrets were vast and highly exploitable. But we didn’t need to go that route at all. We could tear it down via blackmail, but why bother when we can do it by force?
Selenia: “You all, surround Tarina.” I order.
Random Knight: “And what will you do, commander?” She asked.
Commander? They do realize that I am just a private, right? Sorry, Radahn. It seems that I might have accidentally turned your soldiers against you. Well, I don’t plan on hurting Radahn, I just mean that they’re now only loyal to me.
Selenia: “I plan to take a little trip into Tarina’s capital. While I am there, I might return with the head of a king. Who knows?” I say with a confident tone before riding away.
None of them followed me at all, and they surrounded Tarina’s capital as per my orders. It feels kinda weird being able to order around so many people. Let alone having them actually fully listen to my orders. They didn’t even try to stop me, as if they were absolutely sure that I would succeed in my mission.
Arrows rained down upon me while I rode to Tarina’s capital. My unicorn dodged the arrows as if they were nothing but easily dealt with distractions… Rather than the closed gate, I went over to the left side of the capital. On that side were the slums, and there were many holes to which you could use to get into the capital.
Selenia: “Alright, thanks for the ride. Please head back with the rest of them.” I say with a smile as I pat the unicorn.
It oddly purred and rubbed her head on me a bit before she galloped away to safety. Weird… Anyway, I was able to quickly find an unrepaired and damaged part of the wall, and I was able to enter the capital. Alright, now it is time for some tactical espionage!
